Just watched Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Once and Always and the nostalgia is strong. Although Thuy Trang and Jason David Frank are no longer with us, and Amy Jo Johnson wasn’t in the show but hearing their voices again during the fight scenes in the beginning is just wholesome and awesome.

Given the limited budget and resources they have, it’s pretty good. I know there are some parts that I feel could be better but I’m happy enough to see them back in action, especially David Yost and Walter Emanuel Jones! They still look good for their age, like Ralph Macchio and William Zabka from Cobra Kai!

I hope they develop it further into a series with David Yost and Walter Emanuel Jones looking to train new and younger teenagers with attitude! Hopefully with more fight scenes like Cobra Kai and more badass songs by Ron Wassermann! The only complain I have is the songs are not loud enough during the fights. 🤣

So I’ve been watching power rangers again and wanted to share a few of my headcannons!

——

Reds definitely tend to stick together or relatively close to each other

It’s their thing (Wes kinda takes in some of the younger reds)

Pinks have a gc to chat shit and you can bet kim takes the younger pinks under her wings, kat is a mother hen for sure

Pinks are definitely more emotional along with blues even if they take a more logical approach to things

But literally younger rangers will just rant to the older rangers if they need too

Their going through a hell of a lot for teenagers

Yellow’s gc blowing up when the Taylor Earhardt tells them she’s getting hitched

Leaving the yellows to ask around the whole grid to figure out who she’s getting married too

Specifically Alyssa she’s going mad trying to find out who (best friend privileges were used)

No one knows because whoever it is has kept it really tight

So it ends up in a huge wild goose chase whenever a ranger announces their engagement

Speaking of wedding’s some of the rangers will appear randomly to join in the festivities

Some rangers have got very drunk and tried to dj or cause some sort of chaos (wes and jens wedding)

Like Tommy appears often, specially at baby showers when that happens to bless the babies along with some of the others

Blues sometimes have like a club for just nerding out or showing of their cool stuff

Reds have arm wrestling tournaments

Just rangers end up always meeting each other for birthdays or anniversary’s

Sometimes if one ranger knows a lot of rangers it can turn into huge family reunion esque parties going on

That happened for Christmas once, it was chaos really

Just rangers always stick together, their like a huge extended family

I feel like ranger teams specifically would live close or with each other

Like kat and tommy live together

I like to think trini, zack and billy live together as like a trio thing which would be cool

Trini would dote on them like an older sister for sure

Some of the younger rangers come to the older ones for love advice

The younger teaching the elder ones slang and cool stuff they learn

So the dino based rangers definitely bond over their zords

Ninja rangers compare skills all the time

Rangers just always sticking together fr

In this version of Rise' future, sometime after the original Rangers' graduation, an encounter with an alien warrior wielding the fabled Sword of Light split the Pink Power Coin in two!

Quick details on both of the Future Pink Rangers under the cut :33

Kat is mixed Indigenous Australian and the Angel Grove High Swim Team's coach, as well as a former Pan Global Games athlete and star ballerina back in Queensland, Australia - a good friend of the Harts and Taylor-Campbells, she becomes the Pink Ranger, with Australotitan power, after being approached by Olivia to join her team to help find her parents and the original Rangers following their disappearance.

Davie is Tommy and Kim's son and Olivia's little brother, he's excitable, and loves action and superheroes. He bonds with the second half of the Pink Power Coin and morphs in a moment of desperation to help his sister and her friends!

Kat likes writing. Kat actually likes doing anything and everything that can distract her from the gritty realities of the day— she's also tried painting— but writing is her absolute favorite one.

She's got notebooks over notebooks— most of which were from her school days, from her friends school days, if she finds a notebook in an abandoned house, she keeps it. And scribbles down whatever thoughts she keeps getting, whatever random ideas, fairytale fantasies, thoughts of a world, of a life where things didn't go so wrong. She also likes journaling about her adventures with the coinless.

At the end of every day, she sits down in her area in the little bunker, in the Coinless base, and writes about anything and everything. And that's her favorite part of the day~

I decided to list all the known birthday dates of the rangers. I need it to be orgenized somewhere. I took those dates from the Power Rangers Wiki Fandom.

Yeah, I want more birthday dates, it is an important info about characters. This is really not enough birthdays. And how come they repeat birthdays, they should have been more creative about the dates.

How do you imagine the reaction between the pairs for the DNA evolution when they found out they are a pair? Kat (Courage/Friendship) + Tanya (Kindness) Adam (Love/Purity) + Trini (Light) Aisha (Knowledge/Honesty) + Skull (Hope)

This....is a very mixed bag, to be certain. Also I really hope you mean pair like a duo and not romance, because fuck THAT noise 😬 Kat and Tanya: I see no problems with this and would encourage it into the highest difficulty level. They were besties in the og series and Tanya is KAT'S BRIDESMAID at the TomKat wedding. Nothing else needs to be said. Adam and Trini: ....they get along fine in the comic timeline in as much of a way as they are able due to restrictions in the territories they cover. But the Necessary Evil arc implied they could get on as needs must? In the Coinless universe I feel like they could date Scorpina at the same time, so they also have that going for them. Aisha and Skull: *stares into the middle distance* I mean...maybe Bulk said nice things about her after that school project they had to do together? Aisha either empathizes with or pities Skull, this much is canon, but I...am having a hard time figuring out if Skull's immediate instinct with Aisha would be "SMALL. MUST PROTECT," or "You're the boss, give me orders." This is either just my head messing around, or just the facts, I do not know?

I’m glad to see someone who prefers Tommy/Kat over Tommy/Kim

Yeah so many people seem to think that Kim was the one for Tommy and I don't see the appeal of Tommy and Kim and I think that people who think Kim was the one for Tommy which seems to forget how Kim break up or thinks it was wrong that Kim break up with Tommy though a dear John Letter or they think Kat write and they forget what happened in Zeo including the Christmas Episode snd they seem forget that after Kim break up with Tommy, Kat was there for Tommy. I am always going to have my reasons why I prefer Tommy and Kat who may not be a popular Power Ranger couple.

Okay, so I still don't know much about Kat, but here goes!

43.) If they picked out outfits for each other, what would they look like?

Kat has a special love of putting Tommy in red and white, not because those are the Ranger colors that Tommy was all good for, but because she loves him in red and white. Not to mention if you mix those colors together properly, you get Kat's color pink, and she likes to make a statement.

Tommy doesn't dare touch Kat's closet, he made that mistake once and he'll never do it again.

30.) What are their respective love languages? Do their love languages work well together?

Tommy is all physical touch and words of affirmation. Kat is physical touch and acts of service. It works pretty well when they wanna cuddle, but not so well when Tommy's busy at the dojo or with the various Ranger teams he was on.

18.) How do they care for each other when one of them is wounded/sick?

Tommy gets a little whiney when he's sick, wants all the cuddles and care. Kat will physically murder you in every way she knows you fear if you even touch her while she's sick. Look in on her on occasion, see if she wants your help, otherwise, leave her alone.
