The Progressive Cockney Manifesto:

1. Celebrate Roots and Future: A postmodern position of Understanding our collective heritage. History, tradition, and culture are stepping stones towards our collective growth. In recognizing our past, we chart out our journey into the future.

2. Dynamic Patriotism: Foster a love for the nation that is not rigid, but adaptive and encouraging of growth. Patriotism doesn't signify unwavering allegiance, but a deep and abiding affection that wishes to see the nation evolve.

3. The Power of Expression: Encourage creative and artistic avenues to catalyze significant social changes. The arts, in all their forms, can challenge the status quo and kindle productive debates, paving a path to societal progress.

4. Continuum of Diversity: Place importance on a nation's multifaceted identity. Every individual, regardless of their background, contributes to the fabric of the nation. We must inclusively celebrate and cherish this diversity.

She was portrayed in the show's first two seasons by actress and former mixed martial artist Gina Carano. The character is a former Rebel shock trooper who became a mercenary after the Galactic Civil War, and is later employed as a marshal of the New Republic.
