Have you talked about Kreese inviting Silver to visit Cobra Kai before the events in TTK? Silver getting to meet a freshly 18 Johnny would be fun?

I think I have, but I sure will again.

It’s very unlikely that they wouldn’t have met before CK when Kreese was gushing to Silver about him. I usually picture him just dragging Johnny along to Silver’s place and introducing them privately, but I could totally see Kreese inviting him to the dojo so he could show Johnny off.

Johnny ends up on a much different path. Silver stops Kreese from choking him, secretly worried that his captain would accidentally break that pretty neck.

He understands Kreese’ liking to see the boy covered in blood or crying; he looks extra pretty when doing so, and Silver has pushed him to his very limits before and came out of it even prouder of Johnny—but death is a little too harsh a punishment for a single loss.

He and John have always kept each other in line—and the opposite.

Johnny seemed ashamed of himself, even under all that defensiveness; clutching his second place trophy and glassy-eyed, he was barely able to look at his friends but still brazen enough to keep his head held high and look him and Kreese in the eyes. Silver’s always enjoyed his stupid, stupid bravery.

Or maybe Terry did it on purpose, pressing in the deepest he could one of the many, many times he had Johnny trembling on his cock, pretty hole well and truly reamed around that knot as Terry spilled inside. He knew the day that he met Johnny that he had to be his forever; something that he’s never going to be willing to give up.

If it were Kreese’ choice, he would have had Johnny dressed in pretty things and round with his or Terry’s child a long time ago. The boy had far too many suiters going after him.

And hey, In a different version, he had his way. (Though he’s the type of dick to take off the condom without asking, he’s lucky Johnny had already been clamping his legs tight around them so they really couldn’t pull out in time and laid face down ass up after getting filled to make sure it took.)

Joshua Minsoo Kim: What the hell were they thinking in referencing “Ma Boy” in the title? I hear “Alone” and traces of 4Minute’s “Volume Up,” but tidied up into something dignified. What that means is Hyolyn does not deliver a stunning vocal performance, nor does Bora function as an interesting foil with a rapped verse. I was never a huge fan of “Gone Not Around Any Longer,” but in retrospect I appreciate that it had the audacity to capture the pathos of a Korean drama. [3]

Kayla Beardslee: This hook isn’t big enough to carry a whole song (every time I make myself sit through it again, my score drops further), but at least Hyolyn reminds us that she still has one of the greatest voices in K-pop. [4]

Nortey Dowuona: When Sistar19 lock in together, they are unstoppable. Apart, though is a different story, When Hyolyn handles the first verse, she is confident and poised, swapping back in during the pre-chorus without losing a step, and leading the last line of the song out on a sterling, clarion note. Bora, however, meekly and gently starts the first pre-chorus and tiptoes to the forefront on the second. Hyolyn strides forth to sing the second pre-chorus with Bora, who gains a bit of confidence in the second part, thus leading each chorus to combine into a bold, all-caps declaration rather than the confident, capable delivery and the shy, meek delivery of the verses, a sign of trust that each's approach will strengthen the song. They've worked together over the 11 years of their hiatus, growing into themselves fully as soloists, and their combined performance is proof. [6]

John S. Quinn-Puerta: I could talk about the way this was designed to be my personal dopamine dealer (strings, piano hits, dual harmonies). I could talk about the sheer amount of context I'm missing (a decade-long hiatus). I could even try for the mythical long blurb and turn this into a personal anecdote. But I'm at a loss here. Jacob Sujin Kuppermann: This is so frothy that it almost defies critical assessment -- I've had the hook stuck in my head for the past week but have not managed to muster any particular thoughts about the song other than a sense of giddiness at the throb of the bass. Maybe that's my failing as a listener; maybe it's the song's success. [6]

Anna Suiter: I listened to this maybe 5 times, trying to figure out if "Ma Boy" was actually in the lyrics or just a reference to the now seemingly distant past. It turns out that it actually is, if you listen closely at the very end. An easter egg, if you will. [7]

Taylor Alatorre: The intricacies of these often short-lived K-pop subgroups make it hard for me to think of a Western pop equivalent to this. The closest I can think of would be if Patrick Stump came out with a sequel to Soul Punk in 2022, with a lead single talking about how he actually kinda hates Chicago. And since we're on a Fall Out Boy train now, one could plausibly describe "No More" as a song that knows what "Ma Boy" did in the dark. The willingness to view one's past with coldly unsentimental eyes is a useful skill to have in real life, but it takes some deft songwriting hands to avoid putting too much emphasis on the coldness of it, and to still allow some space for unfettered cathartic release. That deftness is evident only in patches here, and "No More" suffers by comparison to the effortless, perhaps naïve joy of the original. "Take everything you love and burn the ashes," indeed. [5]

michael sterling was the only son of his mother helen sterling and his late father. his aunt, janet, also only had one son, his cousin john. his mother and aunt, were married to bother, michael's father being the younger one. meaning when john's father died, he became the earl of kilmartin, and michael was just number two. not that his mother, aunt or cousin ever made him feel as if he wasn't wanted and special. the four of them were very close, especially john and michael.

although they could not be more different. michael like to be mischievous, flirtatious, and the life of the party. john on the other hand, was a bit quieter, cleverer, and over all a more cautious person. john could be just as mischievous as michael, but he often chose not to. by the time they'd reach adult hood, michael had gotten a reputation as a rake, and john, who was not shy or even had a hard time with the ladies of the ton, he was known as the respectable one. which suited michael just fine. the less people expected of him, the less he had to worry about

michael was in the military, and did very well, however he decided to would rather have civilian life, although he is trying ti find out what he wants to do with his life.

michael is very loyal to his family, and any friends he might have. he does not dally with women who expect more from him, especially respectable ladies. however if they do not want anything serious, he will have fun till his hearts content. he has never been in love, and does not think he should be the one someone falls in love with because he doesn't have much to offer.

Week 0 - [Cardboard Pirates]

In the welcome week, we were given the task of finding inspiration at the pirates exhibit at the Falmouth Maritime Museum in selected groups. We had to then come up with an idea to create something from cardboard using our inspiration and ideas from the Museum. Considering our theme for the module was pirates, I wanted to find out as much as possible about the pirates exhibited there. It was very interesting reading about the history of all sorts of pirates, especially the history of queer pirates.

Some of the research that really intrigued me during my visit was the story of Anne Bonny and Mary Read, which happened to be in the queer pirates part of the exhibition. First we look at Anne Bonny, known for publicly humiliating her fencing master and putting a suiter in hospital. She was forced to wed and eventually ran off with John Bonny but later discarded him and stayed with the pirate captain Jennings and his mistress who advised her to get 'male protection' this lead to her marrying the 'wealthiest man on the island' that she had ran away to. She again, discarded him for another pirate named 'John Calico Jack Rackham'. After receiving a special pardon from Captain Woodes Rogers, she had returned to New Providence where she had originally fled to. This is where she met 'Mark' Mary Reads.

All of Mary's childhood life, she had been brought up as a boy by her mother to ensure she gains her grandmothers inheritance which was reserved for her dead brother, who she pretended to be. This had then lead her to take a liking to her masculine role and ran away to the army, she then married a solider and opened 'The three Horseshoes inn'. After three years, her husband had died and the public house had failed, so she began wearing men's clothing again and gained a boat under the name 'Mark Read'. This boat was later captured by English pirates who persuaded her to join, this later lead in her being pardoned in New Providence and joined up with Anne.

This lead them to quickly becoming close friends. Shortly after John Bonny had returned and kidnapped Anne, in hopes of turning her in for money. After failing, the governor was forced to release her on the condition she return to John Bonny as his wife, yet John Bonny was scared of what would happen when she is released, fled and began a chase on him that both Anne and Mary were a part of. Unfortunately, he had escaped which led to them burning his turtle business down.

After this, both Anne and Mary had stuck together on the ship, banding a crew once again. Calico Jack, who was still on the ship, had started becoming jealousy of the intimacy and closeness of the pair and later discovered that 'Mark' was a woman the whole time. It is speculated if Anne found out Mary was a women a lot earlier in their relationship or if she ever did. I am quite happy that I attended the exhibition otherwise I wouldn't have discovered this story. The history and stories like these really inspire me to create my own stories and art, which is what I am hoping for throughout this project, based on Pirates.

After looking around the museum and exhibition, my group had decided to recreate a boat, and with the pirate theme we had the idea of making kraken tentacles along side it. This was also a good addition as we had to preform our creations at the end of the week, and I also thought the kraken tentacles play into the 'Sea of Thieves' game, as the kraken is within the game and it would be nice to have that 'myth and legend' implemented into our design.

When it came to creating the boat, we had separated into two teams to make sure that both the tentacles and boat were being made at a steady pace together. I had agreed to do the boat and started with the shape and spine, making sure the boat would be sturdy enough and wont break. I then communicated with my fellow team members that I was confused how to do the upper sides and they quickly came to my help, If I hadn't asked I feel that the sides wouldn't have been as secure as they are as I had helped doing them. The team doing the tentacles had finished before me and quickly came to aid me in doing the boat and suggesting some ideas for decoration. During the last few hours we had communicated different ideas of how the boat could be worn and used teamwork too get it to the point of being able to wear it comfortably with the two armholes and harness at the top to rest on the shoulders of the person wearing it. This week was more focused upon collaboration and teamwork, putting our ideas together and communicating to get the best outcome. To round up all our hard work, we had a great time performing our pieces together in the end :D

- February Photo Dump + Update -

Hello friends I apologize for my absence. Life has been crazy and I have not gotten to play that much this month. I have finally had enough time to get back to building and will be releasing two new homes (first two photos) in the next couple of weeks! Here are a few updates on what the Southern Simlish sims have been up to!

Marriages galore! Mary Emerson & Carter Ralsten have married off ALL  of their children during the social season! Being one of the wealthiest families throughout the south definitely helped their three daughters find the utmost suitable matches. Even their eldest son, Ellison, married a beautiful belle. This was a shock to his parents seeing as he had previously stated he had no intention of settling down anytime soon. The advantageous matches are below (in photo order)!

- Ellison Crew Ralsten married Evangeline Bonifay (#bonifayfamily #bonifayestate). This was a huge achievement for the Bonifay family who, although very comfortable & admired,  gained notoriety amongst social circles due to Ellison’s popularity and the fact that he is to inherit the Ralsten fortune.

- Birdie Ruth Ralsten married Samuel St. John (brother of #ElizabethStJohn #holmeshouse). Birdie was disappointed in the lack of attention she received from the many eligible suiters and so when Samuel came into the picture she decided (forcibly due to the little options she had) what better match than one of her best friend’s brothers. 

- Cordelia Anne Ralsten married Warner Vand Ducannon II (#ducannonplantation #ducannonfamily etc.) and was the envy of every belle in the season. The most prominent, wealthy, and oldest family in Willow Creek… having Ducannon as a last name opens doors and gains invitations to the most lavish & exclusive events. It is said that Cordelia does not care for all the pomp and circumstance (but certainly doesn't shy away from the luxuries) and that is what won Warner over.

- Lastly, Sarah Ralsten married Levi James Mobley (#RaintreePlantation #MaryPalmerMobley) and could not be any happier. An extreme opposite to her siblings..Sarah loves avoiding any type of spotlight. Once she and Levi wed, they moved to a more secluded town and built the #HillshireHouse (coming soon ;)). When the couple is not tending their garden, Sarah spends most of her time composing songs on the piano and Levi is off tutoring the youngest of minds at the local schoolhouse. Their life is quaint and an extreme contrast to the lifestyle in which they both grew up in but they could not be happier.
