#the100dayproject started up a few days ago. I wasn't planning to do it this year. Last year I did #100daysofstrangelandscapes (didn't quite finish) and in previous years, #100daysofstrangefloraandfauna and #100daysofstrangejourneys. These days, I'm doing most art digitally with a tablet. But I suddenly missed playing around on paper. And rather than expecting perfection, I want to do this for fun. So I'll keep it loose and casual this year and not even have a set theme. My hashtag will be #100daysofsketchbooksbykatie. I hope you'll follow along!! #makearteveryday #mysketchbook #createeveryday #copicmarkers https://www.instagram.com/p/CK7P4UzHUOy/?igshid=4qwy2a6s9tzr

A blog is your brain, over time, on the internet. An archive of what you think now and what you thought before. And that means it’s one of the simplest and most effective ways you can make things open, and make things better.

Guthrie asked Signora Palermo to turn down a narrow lane and then stop at a rocky hill over-looking a clear river. He made us all climb out of the van and breathe the air. 'I am a transparent eyeball!' he shouted. It sounded very funny at the time. 'It's from Emerson,' Guthrie said. 'He was into nature in a big way, and he'd go out into the woods and he felt transparent, like he was nothing and yet he could see everything and was a part of everything: one big huge transparent eyeball! Wow!'
Sharon Creech, Bloomability.
