I am sure somebody already told you BUT during Sunday's Q&A at Tombstone Redemption Jo Armenoix talked about your beautiful embroidery and said how grateful she was for it!! She talked about how emotional it made her and, bless her, she just about wept :sobbing:
I did hear about it but STILL thank you so much for telling me anon ♥️ @arthur-kilgore went to the saturday panel, not sunday, but did manage to tell me somehow lol. I may or may not have cried 😭
I was second guessing myself the entire time I was making the set, because at times it seemed a little unusual, even bordering on weird. I'm so overwhelmed that the love I put into it made such an impact for her 🥹
(also, if anybody has a video of that panel somehow, PLEASE send it my way…)

From the ongoing horsie series, today it's Old Belle's turn 🐎
Old Belle is a Nokota, one of my favorite horse breeds, and I never miss to save the ones stolen by the Murfree Brood or the Skinner Brothers
In the game, she's Karen Jones' horse, but it's a personal headcanon of mine that Old Belle actually was Miss Grimshaw's mare before she passed her down to her bank robbing protegé
The Count ~ Silver Dollar ~ Boadicea ~ Old Boy ~ Bob ~ Taima ~ Brown Jack ~ Boaz ~ Baylock

Beautiful Dreamer: A Poignant Sci-Fi Short Film for Mother's Day
Ken Liu writes such beautifully touching sci-fi and fantasy. I dare you not to be moved by his short stories The Paper Menagerie, a multiple award-winning tale of a biracial boy in a Northeastern suburb whose paper menagerie comes to life with the magic of his mother's love, or Memories of My Mother, an incredibly poignant sci-fi tale of a dying mother who goes to great lengths to steal a few moments through the years in order to watch her daughter grow up.
With stories packing such an emotional punch, it's no surprise that filmmakers have adapted his work. Beautiful Dreamer is one such adaptation. Based on Memories of My Mother above, this 26-minute short captures all the love and heartache shared between a mother and daughter through the years that was so affecting (and, for me at least, emotionally devastating) in Liu's original flash fiction tale.
Take the time to read and watch them both this weekend — you'll only need half an hour for both. It'll be worth it, I promise.
Beautiful Dreamer
Based on the short story Memories of My Mother by Ken Liu
A dying mother travels at near-light speed, bending time to watch her baby daughter grow up.
Beautiful Dreamer is a sci-fi, time travel tale set in a striking near future world of drones, robots, holograms and transport pods. But it’s also a personal story. A mother, facing a terminal disease, leaves her baby daughter and travels into space at near-light speed. Using relativity, she is able to stretch her final two years over her daughter’s entire lifetime but is only able to visit her daughter for one night every seven years. The visits are sometimes sad and sometimes beautiful. The daughter reaches her own mother’s age and then passes far beyond that while the mother is left stranded at the same age she was when she first left. The characters are torn apart by the same technology that unites them - briefly - over a lifetime.
Director: David Gaddie
Starring: Jo Armeniox, Natalie Smith and Lynn Cohen
Run Time: 26 minutes (26:11)

“For a character who really does not wear her heart on her sleeve, who, you know, she'll like you she'll punch you in the face... that kind of romance, she can't—she doesn't wanna show any vulnerability. When you shove all that down and then you do—you have these feelings and you don't know how to navigate them, and then commit to them, and you live out these experiences with this other person and then it's ripped away from you... I think for her, that, and then with Molly as well, those two things just sorta pushed everything to the edge for Karen.
For somebody who has such a huge heart, you have to show that, you don't wanna be vulnerable, cos you're just gonna be seen as weak. And in that world, or the world we're trying to portray, there is no room for any of that, so... it's actually... all of that toughness and hardness was actually just her covering up all the soft stuff on the inside. I really enjoyed that. There's not really romance in the game. Just bits and pieces, but that's kind of the main storyline in terms of a little bit of romance and I kinda like that it was rough around the edges and sad.”
(Jo Armeniox on Sean and Karen's relationship and Karen's character arc, from Capturing the Performances in Red Dead Redemption 2, PAX Online 2020)

Tombstone Redemption
July 29th and 30th, 2023
in Tombstone, Arizona
Unlike most Comic Cons where you get to meet a variety of celebrities, Tombstone Redemption will be an event dedicated entirely to Red Dead Redemption! Of course the event wouldn't be complete without the presence of the world's greatest outlaws!
So far Roger, Rob, Alex, Benjamin and Peter are scheduled to come. I really hope the rest of the cast gets to come too.
--------------
Update March 17, 2023: as if the line up for Tombstone Redemption wasn't exciting enough already, now Ms Grimshaw herself, Kaili Vernoff has been added to the mix! 👏 👏 👏
Update March 18, 2023: Gabriel Sloyer aka Javier Escuella, is now part of the Tombstone Redemption gang. It's been a few good years since Gabriel has attended any type of Comic Con and RDR fans will finally get the chance to meet him!
Update March 21, 2023: Arthur's favorite elder figure, Hosea Matthews, is coming to Tombstone Redemption.
And now everyone's favorite Chonky Bearded Baddie, Bill Williamson is gonna show up too!
Tilly is part of the gang now!
Update March 22, 2023: Everyone's favorite Irishman, Sean MacGuire is on-board now
Update March 26, 2023: Mary Beth and Karen Jones are coming over to Tombstone
Update: April 8, 2023: Everyone's favorite outlaw chef is coming along
Update May 27, 2023: Roger has, unfortunately, cancelled his appearance at the event 💔😭
Update June 15, 2023: Robert Bogue, who portrayed the original outlaw Red Harlow in Red Dead Revolver, is the latest guest for the event.
Update July 09, 2023: Jim Pirri, who played Italian baddie Angelo Bronte, is the latest guest for the event.
Update July 18, 2023: Jim Santangeli had to cancel his appearance at the event due to scheduling conflicts.
