"reagan's suspected autism is unrealistic!! one day she hates touch and the next she's hugging brett? c'mon man 🙄🙄🙄" L + ratio + her being more comfortable with touch from people she trusts is a sign of healing from her trauma related to touch/hugs + she's mostly only comfortable with it if she expects it's coming, she initiates the touch on her own, OR if it's from brett (someone whom she trusts and someone whom has helped her heal) + touch aversity ranges from person to person + she HAS other SYMPTOMS of AUTISM that aren't her lack of social skills or touch aversity + netflix initially only greenlit 20 episodes of the show so of course some of the pacing is a bit fast in part 1, which is why part 2 goes a bit slower in pacing because the creative crew was expecting to be able to tie down and finish certain character arcs in the promised second season. the one that was cancelled. the one they were promised not even a year earlier. that was cancelled just this year in january.

A little preview - KMI - Soldier Boy x Female Reader - 12/2/23
A/N: Hey guys, I am so sorry it's taking me so long to get this story out to you. I just want to make sure everything is in its correct place before I start posting. It will be coming to you soon, though. Thank you for your continued patience.
In the meantime, I think it's only fair to you for me to post a little preview. I took out any specific spoilers. All unbeta'd. Takes place after 3x08.

A huge crashing sound came from the room above and you saw guards pour into the room. Fuck waiting for this process to be complete. You’d take what you could get.
You slipped the mask off of his face, this time hearing the hissing sound you expected to hear the first time. “Come on, wake up,” you entreated, gently shaking his shoulder. He didn’t give any indication that he heard you. “Shit. Wake up!” You practically yelled and shoved at him. Still nothing.
The door from the observation deck slammed open and guards rushed down the stairs to get to you. “Fuck, it’s open!” One of them yelled.
You tightened your hand around the gun and held it up, prepared to fire. They faced you, assault rifles all aimed at you. You knew they wouldn’t kill you or even hurt you that badly. But that didn’t mean they wouldn’t take measures to force you back under their control. Sure enough, you could see one of them had a hypodermic needle hidden in his glove, waiting for the opportune moment to ambush you. You also noticed a couple of them kept worriedly glancing in Soldier Boy’s direction while guards still upstairs were trying to get the Supe back under containment from there. Not that it would work since you opened the container and pulled his mask off.
“Put the gun down,” the team leader ordered. “And step away from the containment tube.”
You pulled the hammer back on your gun. “I don’t think so.”
“Ma’am, please,” he tried again.
The man next to the one that had spoken narrowed his eyes at you and raised his rifle a little higher in your direction. “Morales, easy,” the leader commanded before turning back to you. “Ma’am, we need to get out of here before Soldado wakes up.” He gestured towards the Supe next to you. “There’s no telling what he’ll do.”
You had counted six of them currently facing you and two more up at the controls. The door to the containment room opened from the hallway and eight more surged inside, their weapons raised and trained on you, and you were sure that more was on the way. You were badly outnumbered; there was no way you’d make it out now.
“Please,” the leader begged again, holding out a hand for your gun.
You knew how to use the weapon in your hands and you could throw a few punches, but none of that would be enough to even make a dent in what you were currently facing. You had no choice but to accept that your plan had failed.
You were just about to tell them to go to hell when the leader and Morales looked past your shoulder. Out of the corner of your eye, you could see movement and you froze. While you had been hoping he would wake up, you hadn’t planned on being near him when he did. Shit.
All of the guards’ eyes widened when Soldier Boy got to his feet, a menacing glare on his face. Some pointed their guns at him but others kept theirs on you, Morales being one of them.
Soldier Boy’s gaze quickly roved over them and came to a stop on you, more specifically on the gun in your hand. You felt an icy chill of fear sweep through you when he slowly lifted his eyes to your face and he cocked his head in a mix of curiosity and suspicion. The room was so silent you could hear a pin drop. Even the guards in the observation deck were frozen, eyes wide and watching the whole scene unfold.
You forced yourself to breathe and then focus. You tightened your grip on your gun and slowly took a step away from the container.
The whole unit looked torn, not wanting to let you get away but also not wanting to take their attention from the most dangerous Supe on the planet. “Don’t,” the leader pleaded, obviously having chosen the former course of action.
“Go to hell,” you hissed, taking a few more careful steps. Soldier Boy hadn’t moved but still hadn’t taken his eyes off you. You had to assume that while he kept an eye on you, literally, that he didn’t see you as a threat — you could only hope.
What happened next was a whirlwind of chaos.
A/N: Do you think she'll make it away from the guards? Do you think Soldier Boy will help her or will he see her as the enemy? Will what happened to Kimiko happen to her?
