idol group ideas!!

“descending from the stars, we are LUMINOUS ANGELS!”

[🎀] LUMINOUS ANGELS concept is based off of the stories and also angelic figures. the whole idea is that you : they are angels that have descended from the stars ( hence the luminous and angels in the same sentence! ) the group is underneath the company “starship entertainment”

[🎀] the group consists of 4 members ( including yourself ) each member has their own unique talents, however, those talents combine well with everyone. leaving everyone satisfied and happy with each other!!

[🎀] the voices of the members is alluring, enchanting, but also carry hints of warmth and comfort. they have grace and elegance like angels, but also the presence of a star. making people’s eyes seem drawn to their performance when they were underground idols.

“singing for eternity, we are ETHEREAL MELODY!”

[🎶] ETHEREAL MELODY a group comprised of close friends who were scouted out during their daily stress relief sessions at a local karaoke bar. the concept is how close friends singing will bring people together for eternity. ( hence the name ethereal melody laffs )

[🎶] the groups singing voice has a nostalgic and friendly feeling to it, it makes people want to talk, gather together and share memories. but it’s also calming enough to be sit with your thoughts, the groups vibe is energetic and it seems like a group of friends just having fun.

[🎶] the group is comprised of no more than 6 members, or however many you see fit! each member has their own role in the friendgroup, and everyone is close like family.

“skipping the textbooks, we are CLASSROOM CHARMERS!”

[🪷] CLASSROOM CHARMERS is a school concept group, girls ( or guys ) who are more focused on their social life / interests rather than their studies. the group is clumsy and energetic, a lively group of people!

[🪷] the group is energetic, lively, and stubborn. ( at least when it comes to their studies ha ) the comprises of 5 members, each wearing a different school uniform.

[🪷] the groups voices are refreshing and lively, their voices seem like ice cream in a hot summer. the groups stage presence makes it seem those students you know you could befriend.

Idol Group Dynamics

A lot of people have been asking about group dynamics within idol groups. Honestly no idol group is like super best buddies with each other. Some groups will get along with each other better than others. Some just don't get along at all. If you think about it, that's completely natural.

Take a look at a group project you have at school. The teacher puts you in a group project with 6 other people. You don't get any pick/any say in this matter. You end up being with 6 other people that you've never really had much contact with even though you're all in the same class. You get along with 1 or 2 people. You don't get along with the rest. One person has to step up the game and be the leader or the teacher just says this person is the leader. The leader has to manage the group and make sure people are on track/do their tasks appropriately. In the end, you all get the same grade even though maybe half of the people in the group did far more than the other members. Even worse some people in the group shine really well during the group presentation despite not having done much bc they are good speakers/naturally know the topic or have more experience than you in that topic.

And so let's say you really, really dislike this member of the group project. They drive you nuts because they're always late/they don't do their share/they're rude etc. Are you going to tell the teacher about this terrible group member? Probably not because you know what happens - most teachers will just say you are incapable of working in a group and perhaps even dock marks off for teamwork. Are you going to tell that team member that you absolutely hate their guts? Probably not... You're probably just going to suck it up and complain to the other teammates that this situation sucks. You or someone in the team/all of you in the team may confront the team member to tell them that they should pull their weight.

The above is quite similar to an idol group. What makes it more drastic is that the idols most always have to live together for a certain period. Now people often break up with each other after they move in together or go on a vacation, so can you imagine having to live with like 5 or 6 other people in a crowded apartment/house? If you haven't experienced that before, then you don't know how chaotic that can be - having to share 1 bathroom with many etc. You learn to try to adapt to the situation and you get to know your roommates well.

The idols didn't choose their teammates. Some idols may get along better with another. Some may hate each other's guts. It's just part of being put into a team..

The main track not platonic has sensual and “sexual” lyrics, for this reason the song is targeted explicit.

According to what Juno has said, this EP is the first of a trilogy, so the plot of this and the future albums are connected to one other.

A super awaited debut, fans were eager for Juno’s debut, since the news of the members starting of their solo careers.

It got promoted for almost one month, Juno participated in many korean and westerns shows. He received four wins in all korean show and a trophy in the AMAs.

This album’s release timing was exactly the best, since Junho was into a drug scandal making his fans turning backs at him, even also the debut announcement, since it’s rumored that he “used” his solo debut to distract fans.

Later on, he was the one who apologies for the controversy, even if it was announced to be false by the company.

(人◕ω◕)(人◕ω◕)(人◕ω◕) Oh my. You're probably seeing the title and going "Hey. What the heck is Harmony ☆ Hearts???" Simple. I have decided upon Sayaka's Idol group name. (人◕ω◕) Led by Satomi and Kasumi. (人◕ω◕) So as you also noticed this is a fashionronpa hot off the heels of the dapper egg. Well.....(人◕ω◕) I know people like @pyropsychiccollector will REALLY enjoy this. I have seen the two designs of the idol outfits and I find them.....well rather basic. Don't get me wrong, Rui Komatsuzaki's art is incredible but it's clear Kodaka had him make those idol outfits as a throwaway. (人◕ω◕)

Best of 2023 - Genre I've finally gotten into

This year, it's Crust Punk!

If I was feeling flippant, I'd say it was best described as punk, only political... There's a rawness, and an earnestness to it, as well as strong DIY inclinations in the culture that is really appealing. Bands like Amebix, Dystopia or Doom, really stood out to me; there's a lot of anger in the music, sure, but there's also a real sense of community and care that I want to see in more genres and fandoms!

I think one of the things I found most interesting delving into these bands was how close some of my musical taste already was; bands like Napalm Death, Extreme Noise Terror and Bolt Thrower (best band ever...🤘) are all very much crust-adjacent if not originating in that scene themselves (Napalm Death have always preferred describing themselves as a punk band rather than death metal or grindcore), and there was that one summer years ago when I listened to nothing but Gallhammer and completely screwed my muscal recommendations for years...

Many thanks to @spechblend for giving me some pointers about where to start, and also for finally convinving me to sit down and listen to Fugazi! (they're great, go listen!)

In 2024, I'm considering trying and get a better understanding of idol bands (specifically, from Korea and Japan). From an outsider's perspective, they seem...odd...

I've listened to a couple of bands in passing (specifically, TWICE and BLACKPINK, that I recall), and of course I'm familiar with Western manufactured boy- and girl-bands, but on the one hand, I feel like there's something fundamentally I don't get, and that annoys me, but on the other hand, there are some interesting bands that fall within the genre, like KBG84, Necromonidol, BiS (the Japanese band, not the Scottish one, who are definitely great), or Kasotsuka Shojo (which is a... cryptocurrency themed idol band...?! That sounds absolutely dreadful on so many levels, so I need to have a listen for myself...) that I want to check out.

I'm a big fan of a lot of Japanese metal and punk (Shonen Knife, Otoboke Beaver, Melt Banana) so it would be interesting to be able to put their music into some of the cultural context.

Will I get around to a deep dive into idol culture? Or will I just end up listening to more relaxing sludge/doom/death metal instead? Only time will tell... 🤔
