i havent seen anyone talking about this in the genshin tag, mihoyo changed the CPU requirements for PC players in the 4.3 update. Genshin will no longer run if your CPU doesnt run SSE 4.2 (if its a cpu from 2007 or earlier it doesn't)

how to tell if this is why your game is not running:

if you can open the launcher menu, but the game will not start upon clicking launch, and after a few minutes, the launcher menu reappears without any indication that the game started running at all.

if you click on your crash logs (launch menu settings > quick open > crash log) and you get an error that looks like this:

there is no fix other than buying and installing new CPU that will run SSE 4.2. i hope mihoyo patches it, but its doubtful they will with how little of the userbase is being affected. looks like its hoyover for us low specs players.
