you have a crazy hc for gryll you say. hand it over /lh

So, I get terribly unlucky with Stone transformations, almost never seeing the rare ones in a given playthrough. (I, uh, also don't use Stone very much...) 

One day, while daydreaming about someone exporting and cleaning up all the Dream Friend stone transformations from Star Allies and turning them into 3D printable statues on Thingiverse for me to decorate my shelf with or something SILLY like that (...if, um, anyone wants to do that sometime, let me know...?)  I finally perused the wiki to check out all of the transformations across the whole series! And that's when I spotted that transformation in RtDL that pairs the Star Rod with the Magical Paintbrush and the Triple Star!

It's also RtDL that makes it clear the Star Rod was made by the ancients. Logic suggests that those three items aren't just paired together for no reason. They are likely ALL creations of the ancients.

(It’s not even a stretch since the Magical Paintbrush is deeply associated with Drawcia and judging by the history of the unknown painting - and Drawcia’s golden eyes - she's likely tied to the ancients/Halcandra as well.)

But then we go back to the Triple Star. The only time we see it, it's one of a small handful of powerful but otherwise unremarkable weapons in Daroach's possession. Daroach is, of course, a planet-hopping intergalactic THIEF, and it’s likely that not everything he possesses was, oh, originally his...? 

There's also the fact that while his ice cane very much suits his "suave gentleman thief" look, the Triple Star doesn't mesh with his aesthetic quite as well - or at all, if I'm being honest... 

(Now THIS is Daroach’s defining look to me.)

The Triple Star is big, clunky, and chunky. It's also more like a wand than a cane (despite being called a cane) and you'd almost expect to see this wand type item in the hands of.........a magic user, say?

Long story short, I think Gryll was the original bearer of the Triple Star. Or at least the previous bearer before Daroach got ahold of it. You see, Gryll is also an intergalactic traveler, and thus, would have plenty of opportunities to have a run in with Daroach before either of them visited Pop Star.

Gryll is heavily associated with blocks. I mean, that's what Super Star Stacker IS: a game about throwing blocks at people! The block on the tip of Gryll's hat is nearly identical to the one crowning the Triple Star. And when Gryll attacks you, they turn their broom around and swing the larger end at you, just like how the ancient weapon is used in combat. 

And again, the thing makes blocks. (...Okay, okay. It throws projectiles, but it was GOING to make blocks! At least, that’s the speculation, back when it was going to be the “Block” ability.)

Now, if the Triple Star was ever in Gryll's possession, how did Daroach end up with it? The most obvious answer is to say that Daroach STOLE it from the onion witch. But hey (hey, hey) it's also possible that Gryll lost it in a bet or a competition! Maybe Daroach is really, really good at playing Star Stacker...?

Now, why bring up the Triple Star as a creation of the ancients here? Well, there's not much tying Daroach into the ancients (...unless you assume he was another one of/was descended from the animals left behind on the forgotten land, and that the former residents went on to become the ancients - a theory which I'm still not completely sure I believe just because I can't make a rational path from the average-human-height-if-you-translate-the-signs-in-Wondaria-park FL residents to Gonzo I mean Squidworth I mean Hyness and the Jamba cult, at least not yet - and though it took Elfilis messing with Leongar's brain to teach HIM how to speak, maybe Daroach was a/descended from lab rats and so had more exposure to humans than your average zoo animal yadda yadda the Squeaks of NIMH/gee-Daroach-what-are-we-doing-tonight etc etc...)

...Sorry, got off on a tangent! 

Anyway, while there's nothing on the SURFACE tying Daroach to the ancients, so far, every canon magic-user in Kirby has had a VERY close relationship with an ancient artifact. Nightmare and the Fountain of Dreams, Marx and Galactic Nova, Drawcia and the Magical Paintbrush, Magolor and the Lor Starcutter/Master Crown (Gee, Magolor, how come HAL lets you have two ancient artifacts?) Taranza and the Dimension Mirror, and Hyness and the Sisters and the Spears of the Heart/Jamba Heart.

That leaves just Gryll without their very own ancient artifact! Boo! While it is a little anti-climactic to get this far and say, "So, okay, they had it once, then they lost it/it was stolen from them" I still think it's a solid theory!

...The real sad thing is that Daroach STIll has it in Star Allies, meaning that if Gryll has any aims on getting the Triple Star back, they've got a long way to go! (Psst, HAL! Gryll returning cameo plz!)

Addendum:

...Soooooo...I forgot about this until I was looking up screenshots to add to this post, but there's also that unused design for a set of Beam Mage equipment based on Gryll planned for Super Kirby Clash and yeah, Gryll is TOTALLY wielding the Triple Star there.

 I mean, the embossing is reversed and it’s green instead of gold, but the cane glows green in game so I’ll allow it. After all, these are rough sketches and Gryll’s hat is backwards and missing the block tail so one can assume that the details aren’t meant to be 100% accurate at this stage anyway. Most importantly, it's got the same basic shape it's NOT Gryll’s broom, which they would otherwise be using.

So, given that fairly decisive bit of evidence (?) maybe this theory of mine isn't really a wild theory at all, but something everyone else had already figured out? Either way, at least I get to share it finally!

Hey hey hey! Back at it again to ask if Vale has any lore or connections with any canon characters? You know, besides Grim XD (Of course if you have more to talk about involving Grim than I'd love to hear about it!!!)

Vale & Grim

I like to think at some point they kinda become in sync with each other?? Like just over little things!! They'll both tilt their heads at the same time, if Grim does the cat thing to paw at his ears you can catch Vale scratching their head...its a lil cute and Ace probably makes fun of them for it lol

To appease the great Grim, Vale occasionally writes little things for him! They jot down like mini epic tales for the cat to re-read. He gets really defensive over them.

Grim would probably be spoiled by Vale if he did better in classes!! The first time they get a failing grade, Vale is ready to eat his tuna right in front of him (and they don't even like tuna!!). they don't do it ofc but man. Grim plz. do your work!!

I mentioned this in the bday post, but since Grim doesn't have an actual birthday, Vale tells him they'll share theirs! The cat immediately starts asking for gifts from everyone else lol he's too impatient to wait a whole year for gifts.

Heartslabyul & Vale

Ace and Deuce are their homies! Ace tends to be a little more harsh with them though, he just wants Vale to be...not a pushover. He messes with them a lot though. Vale just puts their trust in him so they'll fall for stuff, especially if it's related to Twisted Wonderland lore/history/whatever. (ie. Ace: Did you know chickens here can lay golden eggs? Vale & Deuce: :0c Ace: ...I'm joking it's just a fairytale. Vale & Deuce: 😔) Vale likes his magic tricks!! They'll clap for him whenever he does something even if it's a simple coin trick.

Deuce would go to Vale for studying! tbh he's pretty surprised how good they are in classes?? like damn you're not even from here and your grades are so good?? Deuce initiates the study sessions and Vale ends up leading them at this point. THEY ALSO BOND OVER EGGS!! At some point Vale mentions "fake eggs" to him (like that stuff you use to make scrambled eggs really quick instead of using a real egg) and they just bond over how bad that is. Only real eggs in this house!!

Originally, Vale is in possession of the braincell when with these two but now I'm feeling like they might lose it too lol. They really just go with the flow tbh. They won't skip class or do anything TOO dangerous or stupid, but if they're all like...outside and see a sleeping Floyd and Ace is like "I dare you to poke him", Vale would be against it because why would you do that??? After the trio bickers for a bit they end up going to go and do it.

I think that Riddle might enjoy Vale's company?? At least they're a good study partner. Like Deuce, he's pretty impressed at your grades and how hard they try to learn what they can despite not having magic. Vale would probably ask him a lot of questions about the Queen of Hearts and his home in general. He knows a lot and they can definitely take his word over Ace's for true Twisted Wonderland facts.

I don't have much with Trey or Cater unfortunately. I'd just think Vale always does this ✌️ in Cater's pictures because they don't know what else to do. That's now their staple thing. Iconic.

Savanaclaw & Vale

100% would be like a second Ruggie to Leona if they were around the dorm more. Leona wants something? aye aye captain! He might not take too much advantage of them like he does with Ruggie, but it's not bad having a second helper around. Honestly, he's just kinda waiting for Vale to bark back at him. Kinda like how Ace wants them to have a backbone except not as blunt.

Would also get dragged into helping Ruggie out with whatever he has in mind. He knows he can go to Vale and ask for help and they won't ask for anything in return. But I think he'd be willing to give them something for helping.

Don't have much with Jack rip. I just think Vale can go to him for more heavy lifting jobs. If they have to do anything for Crowley, Jack would be like the first to volunteer to help?? If it's a two man job at least. Vale would listen to him talk about his cacti though. Also wants to touch his tail but they know better.

Octavinelle & Vale

If Vale is ever in need of cash, it's time to go to Octavinelle. Or if they're down a member/short staffed I think Azul would call on them for the assistance. Such a benevolent soul knows they need some money (and food) and he needs help at the lounge. It's a win-win, no? Vale is usually kept to waiting tables or greeting guests.

Azul thinks Vale would be a good fit in his dorm. Not because having this magicless human could be of benefit to him, but because they follow the Sea Witch's benevolence. Yes, Azul is the MOST benevolent person in school, but Vale? Always kind. They answer wishes in a different kind of way. So, he's curious about them. Offers a place in the dorm (and a uniform) constantly. Vale thinks he's pretty cool though and is amazed at what he can do. They want to see his true form again and probably wrote about it at some point. I joked at some point about Vale using Azul as a muse for a novel but it might just be true...shh don't tell him.

Vale tells Jade...too much lol. But can you blame them when Jade offers to lend an ear? He is the reason/inspiration for them starting their book club after all. So there's some solidarity in them being the only members of their clubs. They are also unofficial members of each others clubs at some point?? Basically "if you go to my club meeting I'll go to yours". Also Vale would probably fall for his crocodile tears and help him out if he ever needs it. (Ace screaming in the bg)

Vale cannot escape Floyd. If Floyd wants them then...welp that's it. They can't say no to him and it doesn't help that they're passive about being busy or something. They're the only person to keep up with Floyd's whims so that's why he keeps going back to them. "If you dont wana do something with me, then Shrimpy will!" Anyway forced friendship! He's also the one insisting to take Vale swimming after learning they know how to.

Also Octavinelle folks are the first to find out about Vale's surname being Crowley 😂 At some point Azul needs their full name written down and yeah the contract doesn't need to be magical but he knows that just putting "Vale" down doesn't seal the deal. So...haha...funny last name. Floyd mcfrickin loses it over learning this. Jade does to but at least he hides his laughter.

Scarabia & Vale

Not too much here wah! They just struggle being around Kalim because oh god no he wants to party and how do you say no to constant parties when he looks so happy?! If Vale is stuck with him I feel like they'd tell them commoner things and he'd be like super amazed at it.

Vale turns to Jamil whenever they need an escape. Jamil...does his best but man. Kalim. Please. We busy!!

Pomefiore & Vale

Vale doesn't hang around Pomefiore too often, mostly due to Vil being a busy person. They didn't have much of an opinion of him at first, but they're surprised at how hardworking he is?? And yeah he isn't the nicest person but you know celeb gossip and how celebrities are assholes? They were expecting that from him and surprised that's not really the case. Vale starts watching Vil's movies with Ortho and is becomes a low-key fan later on. Vil probably likes going to Vale because on multiple times they seem to have forgotten who Neige is but not him. That's a win, queen!! Unfortunately, I don't think Vale can last around Vil for too long. He wants perfection and Vale doesn't think they can do everything he says rip

At some point I wanted Vale to go ask Rook to learn about archery from him?? So they can have some kinda self defense in this magic filled world. Still unsure if I'm following through on that (it's either this or go to the eels to learn self-defense and get REKT in the process). Other than that I think Vale would read his poetry?? Mans is so eloquent that they read his stuff and has to reread it again. Good prose and all but not their kinda thing.

Can't think of too much with Epel aside from them asking about apple carving?? Maybe use some for inspiration...Vale is also willing to hide Epel in Ramshackle to get away from Vil. Does it ever work? No. Do they keep doing this? Yes.

Ignihyde & Vale

Ace & Deuce may be the homies, but Ortho was the first!! It starts with Vale being kinda shook that theres a robot/android here in school. It's super sci-fi and they think Ortho is amazing! To others it might look like they're trying to butter him up or something but they're just interested in Ortho. What does he like to do and all that stuff. They're also willing to play games with him when no one else wants to (if Ignihyde boys won't play with him then Vale will!!). While Vale is a pushover, if they're going to stand up for anyone it's going to be Ortho!! Ace is proud of them somewhere...

And Vale's friendship with Ortho is what leads to meeting Idia! Ortho, very early on, makes the connection that Vale is interested in games and anime too. Now it's just getting them to meet. tbh Ortho can hype up Idia and Vale will believe him 100%. It's not like Ortho lies about his brother, he is super smart and he made him too! So yeah Vale believes him.

Idia and Vale are a bit...awkward at first. Their first impression still kinda sticks out (meeting over trying to get a manga and p sure Idia wasn't the kindest there). But once they can make a connection on games and whatnot it's all smooth sailing from there. Sort of. Vale would be interested in this world's stories and they could go off about theirs too. Compare anime and video games. They listen to him go off and can keep up with his lingo (most of the time). Idia doesn't trust them at first, too kind and nice, but lmao he likes having someone who can keep up with him...

Haha tag team duo of Vale & Ortho trying to get Idia out of his room. tbh Vale is fine vibing in there with him but like...cat cafes, Idia!! video game/anime themed cafes!! That's probably how they manage to get him out at first.

Shroud bros are also the first to find out the link between Vale & Grim. It really comes out in ch.6. There's one note that shows something coming from Vale when Grim is active. It also doesn't help that Vale can pinpoint exactly which room Grim is in without the bros telling them. little things that give it away!

Diasmonia & Vale

Vale finding out Malleus is also part of the solo member of a club 🤝. Would find books on gargoyles just to show him tbh. Invites him to hang out for their club meeting even if he's not a member. He can be an unofficial one too!! They're down to be an unofficial member of his. Vale is pretty chill with Malleus. Even after learning who he is, they just vibe with him. Nothing changes. The only thing that does is Vale like holy moly dragon!!! They also know Malleus likes being outside and walking around at night but they always ask if he wants to come into Ramshackle too. He usually declines cuz he likes the 'magic' the night air brings when with them.

For the other three...I think Lilia just likes to jumpscare Vale lol. It's so easy and fun to spook them, so he has his fun messing with them. He might be like Ace and trick them into believing things but at the same time no?? It sounds like a trick but it's true so?? Just no one believes Lilia bcuz he's so cryptic.

Vale isn't around Silver and Sebek too often. Vale thinks Silver has a calming aura but they get worried when he falls asleep. They end up getting yelled at by Sebek too often. It doesn't help that they spend time with Malleus more than he does. They think his devotion to Malleus is neat though! They regret telling him that...

@flooftyfizzlebeans I'm sorry this took forever but here are the babs, sorry they're not named! Floofty for height ref, proud of their children no doubt.

The Namawie Floofty child got Flooftys short and Namawies stocky but balanced build accumulating in slightly taller than Floofty power house. Decided that she's probably an astronaut, involved in the designing of, product testing, creation and eventually flight of a spaceship of sorts, she's probably been to space and is the qualified engineer who goes out on missions and shit who can fix the ship if things go tits up while also being in charge of biological sciences so doing planetary sampling ect. Basically she's really dang good at her job and has a lot of skill under her belt. It's not major visible I don't think but she also is a single mum with an egg lump!! Was somewhat of a hookup situation that ended up in a pregnancy that she kept cause well this is a first she'd never gotten pregnant before and like, baby fever hit her like a truck (baby fever is genetic obviously, /Floofty/), so now she's got a fat egg tucked away in her pouch, like Namawie she has a deep pouch being much wider than the average pouch allowing if she wanted to store more eggs but seeing as the egg she ended up having was Lorge it fits in there quite happily! Good for her!

Next is the Meepabell Floofty offspring who looked at the biological more purple gene (while floofty was like plz be purple plz be purple plz be purple) and went nah. And came out pale off white. Don't worry in the first image their eye is fine, I was taking inspiration from a family friends kid who needed to wear eye plasters to strengthen her other eye so basically while still young opticians covered his good eye so his weaker eye would pick up the slack so he ends up with vision while everyone else needs glasses. At some point I think he does sustain some kind of injury and needs a mobility aid and being that they grew up being a major nerd he gets a staff cause you know what? Good for him if ur gonna need an aid get a fancy wizard staff, and yes he did also play dnd when he was a kid in the geek quad how'd you know? Me at him affectionately: Nerd. Nowadays he's a full time stay at home dad! I imagine he's in a polycule relationship (need for poly is genetic didn't you know?) with multiple housemates (yes they are the other people from his dnd squad wow you're so good at guessing lore) and due to the fact he can't work easy he stays home to be dad and a house husband, since he can still do house things he cooks cleans and all that. He is happy with his life he's just very tired cause trying to settle 3 grumplings (no, I'm not designing the kids as I'll have to design the polycule parents too(okay maybe)) one of which he birthed himself and all kept hatched and grown in his pouch is pretty exhausting hence the bags under his eyes (they're currently probably with either another polycule member or 'off camera' (floofty wants to see their grandbabbies dammit!!)). When the Grumptots are in school though he partakes in book writing usually fantasy but also designs ideas for children's books and like designs illustrations ect talks to production people has it made cause he has his own life things outside of being a dad and he enjoys writing books knowing he can read them to his kids or one of his partners will read it to the kids or someone else will read it to their kids ect, and also the fantasy books are fun too and utalise his creativity. In the original grumpling sketch he was originally drawing symbols on the ground like magic squiggles but I left them out cause I couldn't be bothered.

They're both living their own vastly different separate lives but they're both really happy with what they're doing, though one noticeably more exhausted than the other but he wouldn't trade anything for the world he adores his kids, partners and life and she feels incredibly fulfilled and respected in her line of work but is also really excited to experience being a mother and to start a family. Floofty is probably very proud of their kids (while secretly hoping the new baby is purple/wishing the other grandbabies were purple).

Do you mind explaining why this hasn't been posted yet? (At least as far as I've seen, my phone keeps glitching when I scroll too far on peoples accounts).

If you say you have a handful of Naga OC's, do they have names? Are they all based off different types of snakes? Which one is your favorite if you have one? (Bonus questions: Do you have any lore with them, or world at which they come from?) HAVE A SUPER DUPER DAY, FRIENDO!~

hello there! Thank you very much for the ask!! Plz forgive me though this might get a lil long! As for the answer to the first question the simplest answer is that I'm a mix of scared,embarrassed, a lot of low motivation levels and my mental health being quite bad as of late but I'm gonna be trying to change that this year and post more even if it's just something small like writing some lore tidbits about my OCs or if I'm feeling brave and I like a picture or two I make I'll post it!

Putting this under a read more cause it did get long!

Now onto the next question which is Yes! They do! 5 of them have names one of them sadly do not and only three of them are based off of real life snakes in a sense.

Mike is my oldest one (I.E. I made him when I was much younger) and while I need to heavily revamp or retire him he was based off a small green snake that I once saw in a picture.

Sakura and Alto meanwhile are somewhat newer and based of an albino snake that I also once saw in a picture this one wore cute lil hats if I remember correctly. Alto is pure white with red eyes Sakura on the other hand has pink eyes and splotches/markings on his tail (I need to draw my snakes more often tbh but I do have this for reference for Sakura)

The other three aren't really based on anything i iust went with what colors i thought I'd like the unnamed one's scales are red,Basil's scales are blue(they used to have red diamonds on the back but I need to redesign him a bit so idk if I'm gonna keep that or not)and for Kota I still need to come up with his color scheme.

For question Three I do love all my OCs don't get me wrong but sometimes I hyperfixate on two or three depending on my mood but if I had to Pick a favorite It'd probably be Basil as he's been the most used to RPs with my friends. He's followed Closely though by Sakura and Alto. I need to find more time to work on the other three.

As for Lore here's what I got for my boys (I'll try to keep it to a short version):

Basil: He lives by himself deep within the jungle and he works as a healer for all who need his help and can use magic (he can give himself legs if he needs too as an example). He tries his best to live a quiet and peaceful life but sometimes he does get dragged into things Depending on the universe he's in. He's an oc I that can fit into many different AUs. Basil can also be a little bit of a grump but he's really kind and you're close enough with him he'll gladly let you rest in his coils and he'll try to keep you as warm as he can.

Sakura: He is the butler/Right hand of Demon Lord/King Luna and takes care of his Master's home and affairs while his master is busy with other things. The two live in a town that mostly populated by monsters n the like and it's Luna's job to protect the town. Sakura was hired by Luna and he's been happily serving him for years, He's usually a cheerful and sweet guy who does his best to be friendly and welcoming to all their guests but he does have a hidden dark side that Luna is slightly intimidated by when it comes out as Luna is more used to the chill side of Sakura.

Alto: The Demon King of Medicine and Alchemy as a man(or well Naga) of Science he lives in a somewhat dis/gaea-esce world (aka the Netherworld or demon land) and is one of the many kings in this world. He is one of the most peaceful kings and due to him being a neutral party his kingdom is one of the largest and safest to be in because the last time someone tried to start a war with him all of the offending Kingdom's crops mysterious died and the water supply was poisoned to the point that if you stuck your finger in it you'd be dead in the next hour. That was all of Alto's doing and he threatened that he can and would do much worse than that if the war efforts persisted, needless to say all the Kings and Queens agreed that day to never go to war with his kingdom again. But don't worry he helped the offending get back on it's feet and returned the water back to normal.most of his followers and subjects are students of Alchemy,Medicine,Magic,etc and he is usually welcoming of beings of all shapes and sizes ranging from demons to humans and even angels as well.

The most surprising thing about Alto is also one of the most Ironic things about him he's incredibly shy especially around new people and is almost always internally freaking out(think Tam/aki from M/y He/ro or Sto/rk from Sto/rm Haw/ks((who I slightly based him off of)) ) People don't know this about him though unless they're incredibly close to Alto as there are very few people that work with daily with him and even fewer kings n queens who know what the true Alto is like as he almost always has a resting bitch face to put it bluntly and his glare tends to come off rather intense because of it(once he's in a safe, more relaxed environment or around his three closest friends he smiles more and he actually acts and looks quite soft). He does listen to his subjects though and does his best to fix any major problems that crop up and if his schedule isn't swamped he'll teach some classes at the local colleges plus much to his citizens surprise he's rather patient and kind when teaching.

Kota: is a captured specimen and was being experimented on by an evil corporation and that's sadly I have for him

Mike and the Unnamed Naga oc sadly don't have a sold story either but they will one day.

Plz rant to us about how much you love magolor

first of all this ask was so sweet out of the blue and made me smile a lot so thank you :) i appreciate it so much

i was gonna be all difficult and respond like "LOL are you sure" but yknow what screw it im bored and i've done that too often already so !! here ya go. everything i love about magolor

this is probably to be expected (especially bc of how often i draw him lmao), but first!! i LOVE his design. his design in particular just really stands out to me compared to the other characters ig; he has unique aspects to him that are so cutesy and charming yet contradicting and mysterious from how he looks alone. you have lil cat ears obviously but he still wears a hood and scarf so you cant see his face at all and glowing eyes??? damn. i also love his cape it's so flowy and cool AND ALSO i feel like the gear patterns are really fitting to him as well and go nicely with who he is. however, at first glance you might think his main purpose is to be a mechanic or engineer, and while that is true, he's also majorly known for being a skilled wizard, and his name is even based off the word magic. i feel like you wouldn't expect that from his design and that makes it all the more interesting... it's like there's underlying aspects that you get a suspicion about from just how he looks, which i feel is extremely fitting to his character. his design conveys that he's from another world so nicely too i feel,, you compare him to kirby and the others and he looks so different and otherworldly, almost. you can immediately tell that he's probably not from the same dimension or planet as everyone else. he has a ton of amazing concept designs but im glad they went with this one tbh it just. LOOKS the most like who magolor is and what he's supposed to represent imo. i love the others a lot too but !! in terms of his design his current one takes the cake for me

i adore how Absolutely layered of a character he is. there are so many bubbling details beneath him that have so much impact i just. God. him coming from another planet that's practically dead with very little to no life left and him not knowing what friendship is or how it's supposed to properly work, him betraying the others and falling deep into "obsession and hatred", him finding an exit, dealing with the massive pressure and apologizing to kirby, but him still getting up to funny mischief now and then !! you literally never know what you're gonna get with him (some of those might be personal interps but let's pretend they're not (whoopsie)). Just how he's developed and where he's now placed in the franchise,, he could be classified as comic relief yet he's still a main character if that makes sense?? i'm dying on the hill that magolor is a main character even though he didn't appear in forgotten land idc

i like to think he's similar to how bandee was but. also not ig lol idek -- like both of them debuted in one game and were expected to just?? not return??? but they did and became extremely significant characters who have made such a massive change. they could have chosen to cast magolor aside or whatever, say fuck it and kill him off, etc. but instead they didn't stop there and wanted to keep going with his character and give him a huge role. yeah you could argue it's bc of his popularity but i still think thats so cool tbh he just seems so unique compared to the rest of the cast in his own way and its. really interesting to see how he fits in the series in general !! him and his game are literally where kirby lore and more effective storytelling began imo and i think thats. So amazing they really tried to expand and develop the series through his character and it shows how important he is and how significant he places in terms of kirby as a whole

on a related note -- his personality is something unlike any other. they described him as "deceiving while telling the truth" and i think that's really important bc it's hard for you to tell when he's actually being genuine. and that's unique to most of the other characters and makes him feel out of place in a way and.. yeah mysterious !!! even when he apologized after he fucked up, his wording gave the impression like he just seemed to shrug it off like it wasn't a big deal despite the fact it obviously changed his life which also relates to the former thing and fhjkgfh Wow!! ofc dream collection could've taken place a bit after he actually apologized to kirby but y'know !!

also never get tired of the fact that man's ego is the size of the entire galaxy through hell and back . "look at me, i'm such a nice guy right?" I love how he actually Recognizes how important he is and acknowledges // acknowledged how he can use certain situations to his advantage and this may result in him coming off as stuck-up and thinking of himself more highly than everyone else but !! he doesn't care . Plus he's completely aware how strong he really is and just how he can use all of his abilities and skills to his advantage. Yet despite this, you may get a touch of underlying sadness, guilt, loneliness from him... all the more reason he's a layered character :)

extended from the last one but yeah i love how like. Insanely powerful he is and yeah you could say it's bc of the master crown or whatever (probably is lol) but Listen he has such a wide variety of magical attacks and i think it's so cool bc i feel like he doesn't depend on them Too much yet he still shows them off?? if that makes sense?? like he still uses them a lot for things in, say, dream collection for obstacles i don't even know where im going with this LMAO but yeah his abilities are just so !!! very cool like you take one look at him and you think he would be weak or wouldn't have any powers yet he could destroy you from like 40 miles away or something and he's one of the most broken characters in ksa, kf2, etc. mans can summon literal black holes, portals and giant swords that only kirby could previously wield like it's nothing now, if that doesn't make him one of the most powerful characters currently then idrk what does (i remember in a star allies article while describing his ultra sword they stated something along the lines of "did he secretly stash up power from the master crown? or did he steal this ability from kirby?" and while it's most likely the former in a realistic sense could you IMAGINE how insanely strong he would be if he could actually steal abilities from kirby, the most powerful character with the most powerful abilities. Just putting that out there)

said this briefly in the design paragraph already but i appreciate how many things about him can go two ways that usually contradict one another. Maybe i'm thinking too much into it but lol the most obvious one is, ofc, how he acted as a friend vs. deceived kirby but other things too like. How he combines steampunk elements and high-tech elements at the same time which are opposites. as i said he's also a magician which is !! also not something you may see with those two together i believe star allies and his name in general adds a TON of fuel to this bc it confirmed how his name literally means "false paradise" and "wonderful place" if you combine translations which also contradict each other i also like to think that "magic" in his name can also refer to the fact that he's also extremely skilled in certain areas such as yknow. Getting to handle others or outsmart them, seeing things from others' perspectives, or even being a very talented speaker altogether (a magician or wizard can also mean someone who extremely skilled at something. just a fun lil thing)

more minor things !!! but i really love how he uses slang + speaks in a dramatic way, and how that relates to his personality as explained above. no other kirby character says "dude", "beast", etc. which i feel can really emphasize how he's not from their world but it's?? very funny to think about fhdjkgh. I know other kirby characters use katakana in japanese but i believe magolor is the main // most popular example in this aspect(?? lmk if this is incorrect though, i just know galactic nova and star dream use it but im not sure about anyone else) i also like how he heavily emphasizes certain words and phrases !! it makes him seem overexaggerated and even more unique than other characters who may act in a more realistic in a way. All of them are unhinged but they're all unhinged in their own way which compliment each other well and i feel magolor adds a lot to this mix :)

speaking of which god i LOVE his voice. i feel it's so fitting despite the fact it's animal crossing language as it's widely called. like they stated in the miiverse post, i love how they made it seem authentic by making him clearly say "kirby", it does kind of make it seem like he has an accent even in english ig. It's so squeaky and cute and adorable like go off lil man!!!

i think i got a lot of everything lmao i'm sure there's a ton more i haven't mentioned or didn't think to mention but just know i love Everything about him he means so much to me like fucking hell i love this character if you couldn't tell. he's just so Good he has so many things about him yet i feel we haven't even scratched the surface of how much there is. i really think this rtdl novel will bring // brought a whole new light to who exactly he is and what he's worth and i'm always looking forward to seeing him around again :) really hope he'll continue to have a lasting impact on the franchise
