Rating: Fluff???? Once again, not beta read. Pardon any errors as this is a few days old for promptober, I was tired at the time of writing this as I am now lol

There are spoilers for one of the endings here.

Spoilers for Shadowheart’s romance, of course.

Minette fixed the dress she wore as she looked in the mirror in their room. A simple white dress with sleeves that go off the side and a corset. She got used to the life that she had with Shadowheart and her in-laws. However, she was not used to the fact that someone close to her actually had parents.

Minette stepped out of her room and cautiously tip-toed down the hall until she reached the main room where Shadowheart was, putting the final touches to the dinner they were going to have with Shadowheart's parents.

Minette snuck up to Shadowheart, her pale gray hands wrapping around Shadowheart's waist as she placed a kiss on her cheek. Her black lipstick left a small mark.

Shadowheart did not react as she was now used to Minette sneaking up on her to gift her with a kiss. Shadowheart turned around and faced her partner. “You look so beautiful.” Shadowheart complimented, her hands drifting towards Minette's hands. Shadowheart twirled Minette which caused her to laugh.

“I did not expect that if I am being honest dove.” Minette couldn’t stop herself from smiling at the woman in front of her. Just then Shadowheart's parents entered the cabin. They looked much better since the House of Grief.

Everyone began to join around the table, “That dress looks beautiful on you Minette.” Emmeline complemented Minette. Minette smiled once again, she never knew how to respond to people calling her beautiful, her whole life was dedicated to being a mere observer of things when she became a Cleric of Kelemvor. It was the mentality she started off on when the tadpoles happened, but that changed when she grew close to Shadowheart.

“Thank you, Emmeline.”

Without another word the small family began to eat, Minette spoke of her times before meeting Shadowheart. Mostly her job as a Cleric since Shadowheart's parents wanted to know more about it. Then, of course, the ‘what made you fall?’ question. Minette happily answered all of them. She was still getting used to this life as much as Shadowheart and her parents were.

But she knows it’s working well, Shadowheart no longer has to be near Shar. That’s all Minette wanted for her.
