Happy Leap Year + Happy Year of The Dragon + Happy Birthday Hiccup!!! 🎉✨

I know this is not confirmed on the movies or anything, but I guess it's the closest I can get to Hiccup's birthday so I'll take it.

I'll also take the chance to talk a lil about my feelings below, pardon meee

I've been liking httyd since it first came out, I remember being a kid and not understanding half what what's going on with the movie but there where dragons so I couldn't give a shit. I don't remeber my first time watching httyd2 but I fucking wish I did, the only one I remember watching for the first time is httyd3 cuz I went to the cinema and cried a fucking toooon, also got the only official merch I had and it's a pop corn bowl hell yeah.

Anyways, even when I have loved it my whole life, there have only been few times I've got hyperfixated on it, I think this is like the fourth/fifth time or smth, but it's the first time making content and posting :) and I didn't imagine there would be people out there who could care about it. I'm here to thank all that people, all of you thank you for liking my stuff and for reblogging with all that funny and caring tags, I read all of them, sometimes take some pictures of them bc of how much of an impact they made me feel, I wish there were a easy way to answer to them :') Httyd means a lot to me and I genuinely think it has formed some of me as a person through the years. so.. prismo glitching, scarab new wishmaster -> potential for lore behind prismo and wishmasters (also who the hell is their boss..), nice that simon got therapy but they didn't really explain minerva's sudden human-like consciousness, am i losing it or was golbetty turning into a humanoid form as simon got launched away?? and in the altered memory was simon talking to betty or was it his imagination??

the finale was good, but it left me with a lot of jumbled feelings and a LOT of loose ends. i'm hoping this isn't the conclusion for simon and fionna and cake's story (hell even prismo because he's seriously gotta deal with his post-jake depression, and then there's finn on that same boat) and that there's a season 2 along the way, because there's a whole chunk of stuff that wasn't really elaborated on as much as i would've liked, and some character arcs still feel a little.. incomplete?

so a new yearly adventure 'bout to drop and half of the players are already simping for ithelia while another half is grieving her boring design. me? i'm more interested in the fact that zenimax gave us a lore-friendly way to make our own dardric prince ocs and uuuh lemme just grab a sketchbook real quick and cook up an opposite to mepahala and probably/possibly her twin whose sphere are energies of the afterlife, death and being the shepherd of the undead and the restless dead 👀 and maybe a babygirl of a dardric prince who is the opposite of hircine and oversees the wild beauty of natural world, shapeshifers, sentient trees and talking animals, and mysteries of wild magic and secrets of the untouched wilderness, who has the bottom half of a deer whereas hircine has a head of an elk🦌 ooh! maybe even some opposite to namira whose domain is beauty, poetry and all that is aesthetically pleasing and dreamy and nice who may look like one of those fairies with butterfly wings all over them 🧚‍♀️

What is Sakuya's reaction to Mahiru becoming a succubus?

Mahiru ends up telling Sakuya in his room or somewhere where they both were alone.

If a succubus doesn't feed, they get sick and sicker the longer it goes on. Mahiru was *very* sick for a while before figuring everything out and fed and suddenly he was in tip-top shape again! Like he was never sick.

The drastic change was suspicious to Sakuya and he got worried. Sakuya decides to confront Mahiru and question him about it.

Now, this is all because of a guilty little headcanon of mine that Sakuya and Mahiru swear to not lie to each other again when it comes to important things. Mahiru lied to Sakuya about nothing being wrong in the beginning of the manga, Sakuya lied about being human and many other things that had weight to them, they'll never do it again if they can help it. Paired with ANOTHER headcanon I have for Sakuya*, Mahiru can't avoid telling the truth to him anyways.

Mahiru isn't going to lie to him about it and at the time only Kuro and Sloth knew about his "turning into a succubus" shtick. So when Sakuya asks him what's wrong and really going on, Mahiru lays all the trust he has in the other in front of him.

"...Ok but you have to promise not to freak out."

Sakuya looks at him incredulously. "...Huh?"

"Promise you won't freak out!"

"Ok! Ok. I won't freak out."

And Mahiru takes a very deep, very grounding breath.

"I'm turning into a succubus."

Sakuya just stands there, unsure of how to react. "...What?"

"I'm turning," Mahiru says slower, quieter. "into a succubus."

Silence. And then Sakuya laughs, and laughs as his face scrunched with a slurry of troublesome, mixed emotions.

*Because he can tell when people are lying. He always knows because that's the passive power he had gotten when Tsubaki make him a subclass. Lie detector. A little ringing in the back of his head that drives him crazy when someone in ear-shot lies and drives him crazier when one comes out of his own mouth.

There's no alarm in the back of his head. As much as he wishes, for once, someone would be lying to him, it was truth.

But that doesn't stop anyone from being doubtful, from some denial.

"But." He takes a breath. "How can something like that happen...?

"Something happened during the last fight and apparently my, uh….. dad, was part succubus and I had the gene. And during the fight, it started to wake up from being dormant? And now I'm kind of... slowly turning into a full-blooded succubus??"

No alarm. He's getting visibly more stressed by the second. "That's-- Mahiru, you've got to be kidding me? Something like that has to be impossible... I mean I'm not saying that succubuses or whatever don't exist but I don't think a human can turn into one." He's shifting in his spot, hesitantly reaching out to check Mahiru's forehead. "Are you sure you're not still sick??"

"...You don't believe me." And Sakuya feels his sanity slip from between his fingers.

"It's not-- I just--"

"I have proof!" Mahiru says, nearly yelling and reaches for the hem of his shirt, and Sakuya has no idea what to expect but starts screaming anyways. About? He has no idea, he has no idea what's coming out of his mouth.

But he's silenced when his hands don't stop Mahiru's in time and his shirt is pulled up to his collarbones. He can't even enjoy the rare sight of his bare skin with the weird black appendage wrapped around his midriff.

His eyes are burning holes into the thing as it unfurls itself and starts swinging around not unlike a cat's. Mahiru turns around for him to see where it connects on his lower back.

Sakuya feels like he's gonna pass out. And then goes back on his promise and starts freaking the fuck out because this was not what he was expecting???!? what the fuck???? what the fuck!!!!!!

Mahiru has to try to calm him down and Sakuya keeps looking at the tail swishing behind his best friend in worried frustration and wills it to be an illusion. A trick of the mind and that he'd wake up in a second in his bed drenched in sweat. Neither of them have that kind of mercy.

Once they both calm down Mahiru explains it a bit more thoroughly. Sakuya is white-knuckled clutching one of Mahiru's pillows, both sitting on the bed, nodding along and trying to keep his head from spinning.

The demonic energy from the fight, paired with Mahiru's close proximity to Pandora and the Saint had jumpstarted the sleeping inhuman gene and once it was awake there was no stopping it from growing. And it's only because of the immeasurable amount of energy there that it happened at all. Sloth by himself wouldn't have been strong enough to rework someone's genes.

But now that it was *there*, it was feeding off of the little demonic energy supplied through the Servamp bond and Mahiru's own lifeforce to sustain itself enough to start changing the body. It was killing Mahiru in order to come to the surface. And now Mahiru needs to have sex and be a bottom in order to stay healthy.

He's kinda like a vampire in that regard-- He doesn't exactly need food anymore but he needs to feed on this specific thing.

Sakuya is just nodding his head and about passes the fuck out when he gets told about a succubus's natural aphrodisiac and charms in order to lure in prey.

By the end of it, they're both with their heads in their hands.

"But yeah. Long story short, my dad was part succubus, I was human but not anymore. And now I have to deal with that forever I guess."

Sakuya freezes. Lifts his head from his palms.

"Wait, you know your dad??"

And Mahiru pales.

"...My biological father is Touma Taishi."

"WHAT THE FU-"

Hey Sophie, I've never seen a Wes Anderson movie! Any suggestions on what to start with?

Hey! Oooo, yeah, I think I'd say to start either with Fantastic Mr. Fox or The Royal Tenenbaums?

The latter was my entry point to Wes Anderson and is definitely the one of his I've rewatched the most. The cast is amazing, but I think it encapsulates a lot of what I love about his work at its purest which is stylisation and comedy for the sake of emphasising genuinely human moments, and emotional truths that just rip a hole in you. If I was to ever make a list of my top fifty movies, I think The Royal Tenanbaums would be on it (Ben Stiller's line deliver of I've had a rough year, dad is genuinely iconic to me).

Fantastic Mr. Fox I think though is just both good and pretty accessible? His style of writing/direction/filmmaking lends itself well to stop motion, and he's a bit of a dream match for Roald Dahl adaptations tbh. It's a great movie and a great story anyway, and particularly if you feel inclined / know you like animation, I think Fantastic Mr. Fox is a very good place to start.
