LIST TEN FACTS ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER:

1. Ryū loves to sing, and she’s actually pretty good at it! But she’s also the type that’s deathly shy to be heard. Even loved ones typically have to sneak up on her to hear a tune. Exceptions are lullabies for fussy kids (or sometimes fussy spouses x3)

2. Her favorite season is Autumn, mostly because of the changing foliage. Her home valley was so isolated and warm that it very rarely snowed, but many of the trees would still change color very late in the year, drop leaves, and bud early due to the climate. It was a nice break from constant greenery.

3. Rainy, overcast weather is actually her favorite despite many associating it with being depressing. Her home valley was very humid and rainy, technically falling under rainforest biome categorization. So rain reminds her of home, and the life she could have there. A bit somber, but more like a daydream.

4. Though deathly afraid of dogs by default, Ryū enjoys just about any animal beyond them. She has a very big bias for owls after returning home and being introduced to the allied owl clan to her own lineage, and taking one as a summon. But just about anything living otherwise is fine with her, even things like snakes, insects, arachnids, etc.

5. Ryū is actually quite graceful and has a fairly good sense of rhythm. The former is mostly due to learning to bob and weave in crowded hospital settings, and the latter is just natural. However, she’s never tried to learn to dance.

6. Very early on, Ryū managed to convince her village-assigned guardian to teach her how to sew. It took a while, but she was making most of her own clothes by the time she was eight or so. She’s continued to do so ever since, and rarely buys anything else (unless it really catches her eye).

7. Ryū’s bloodline’s chakra, despite its very limited natures, is very malleable and - with training - easy to shape into basically anything the caster wants. While that’s usually applied to their barrier techniques, it can also be used offensively in the shape of weapons, or even more creatively if one has the imagination.

8. Ryū’s body temperature is naturally a little warmer than most people’s, as Suigin’s chakra is a very volatile energy that - in a human body - raises its core temperature slightly. Not enough to warrant danger, and by now has been adapted. She’s a bit more tolerant of fever, but still has her limit: just a few degrees warmer than most.

9. While Ryū‘s own personal philosophies differ vastly shinobi in general, and she often finds herself at odds with how Konoha runs itself, she still chooses to stay (in most verses). While the thought of being nomadic as her line was in the past crosses her mind, she likes the idea of a home too much...and there’s no one she can help at home.

10. While no longer sensitive to blood and most gore, Ryū still has a great deal of psychological trouble with wounds to the throat, as it reminds her of her mother’s death.

PERSONALITY TYPES THEY PREFER: Anything that doesn’t include taking advantage of others. She can handle some bad traits, so long as they don’t bring harm to anyone else. Otherwise she’s gotten along with a vast array of personality types thus far.

PERSONALITY TYPES THEY AVOID: Those who hurt others - as the one thing she works to prevent, you’re pretty much just getting in her way at that point and she’ll try to avoid you.

WHAT DO YOU FIND DIFFERENT (OR DISTINCT) ABOUT YOUR PORTRAYAL?: Uhhh...well, you don’t see too many medic-only characters? There’s those like Tsunade and Sakura, even C or Kabuto who also dabble in offensive techniques. Her pacifism and refusal to harm is rather...out of place in a world like Naruto - I like trying to fit her in despite several traits that go against some of the core elements of her universe. So far it seems to work okay, and some peeps have commented they like that aspect of her and having their muses encounter it :3
