housewife max dutifully cooking nice and warm meals for fernando to eat when he finally comes back home after a tiring day of work, scheduling the whole heating process so that nando only has to sit and get served as soon as he passes the door, because max thinks his man shouldn't have to lift a finger at home, he deserves to relax while he prepares everything

max also washes their unreasonably expensive cars in white tees every weekend (even though they're relatively unstained since, u know, max barely leaves the house and fernando mostly uses his Maserati GranCabrio to go to work, not their four other cars) and max's definitely not doing it because he knows that nando always watches him through the window, that he sees just how transparent his tops become thanks to the water he accidentally gets all over himself, nope, he's acting in good faith, that's all 🤷‍♂️

then every night right before they go to bed they shower together, and again, almost on autopilot, max starts to shampoo nando's luscious hair, earnest fingers detangling the locks of brown hair before he lets the water wash the foam away down the shorter man's back, very attentively making sure that not a singly drop gets into nando's eyes (and if it somehow still does despite his precautionary measures, gentle kisses on nando's eyelids are enough to make the pain subside)

and if fernando rewards him with a rather enthusiastic pounding against the clear glass for always being so mindful to his needs, almost animalistically grunting against his ear as he keeps on thrusting and thrusting before saying in a hushed whisper that he truly is the perfect little husband right after something warm starts to fill him, then max really has nothing to complain about concerning his life 😊

2023 F1 Predicts

This is based on my own person unhinged vibes and nothing else.

Driver’s Champion: Obviously, as a Charles girlie(gn), I want to write Charles name here. But I think Charles’ fate is to be fated to always be second. He wants it more than anything and we slowly watch the realization over the next few season’s that it might remain out of reach forever before he gets it in the most unexpected way. Next year is Max again. He gets three and then never another.

Constructor’s Champion: Stay with me. It’s Ferrari. They put up a good car that does just enough to ensure P1 in the constructor’s and everyone ignores that it’s mostly because the infighting in the RBR garage has reached a boiling point and their second driver is not really second driving. They pull it out. Charles goes home and cries in Pierre’s arms in French because he thinks it’s the only championship trophy he’ll ever hold. Pierre is long suffering and lovely about it. Carlos fucks about it. You fill in the blank on just who he fucks.

Best Midfield Driver: Lando Norris. Lando won F1.5 this year. I did not fuck with Lando before this season. Everyone was talking about him and maybe I was just being resistant to be a stubborn bitch (because I do that), but this year, I have done a 180 on Lando. The kid drove that orange crayon around the track and he’ll do it again next year somehow and I’ll be happy for him.

Biggest Flop Driver: I want to say Sargeant because I’m so mad about his existence in my happy place, but the reality is that he’s going to be in a Williams and unless Alex Albon makes a deal with a crossroads demon, we won’t be able to tell if he’s a flop or not. (Unless he pulls a Nicky, honestly.) There will be a “flop” in that someone from a top team will massively underperform from their teammate and everyone will be screeching for their heads. I’m not saying it’s Checo. But I’m not not saying it’s Checo.

Most Improved Driver: Selfishly, I want to say to you all that it will be Pierre Gasly now that he’s away from AT, but unless Alpine fixes their reliability issues...and also, it’s not fair to say he’s “improved”, so I’m going to say it’s Yuki. He has a lot to prove. There’s no clear “driver 1 & 2″ at AT. He takes the winter break and gets his head on straight and decides that he’s going to make it work (and not just because he’s at risk). Pierre is very proud of him and finally gives him the address to his house.

Biggest Team Flop: Aston continues to disappoint actually and we call it a flop because it’s the thing that breaks Nando and makes him leave the sport for good. Lawrence Stroll has a nervous breakdown. Lance sells the team and disappears into the sunset and we catch a glimpse of him in 10 years when Scotty and Chloe have a kid who wants to get in a kart and occasionally on Canadian French television coverage of hockey games.

Most Improved Team: The real answer is Mercedes who will be back in the fight next year. The team literally no one will shut up about is McLaren. Which still brings an embarrassing car to the grid, but Lando is dominating the midfield and Oscar is consistently in the points. Australia has a reckoning over who the best Australian driver is. Somehow, Scotty James gets invited and he ends up winning. Everyone pretends like it never happened.

Best Rookie: It’s De Vries. Again, that name stealing bastard is driving a Williams and we won’t be able to tell. Oscar gets outshined by Lando and he doesn’t have the personality to make up for it. De Vries fully leans into the debris thing and he and Yuki try and out fruit each other so much and so often that Dr. Marko finally realizes the fruit factory he’s been facilitating for so long can not be dismantled. He also does well in the points and he’s just so fucking happy to be there. Everyone loves him. He gets three little gold star stickers during Max’s 3rd WDC championship celebration from Kelly because she thought he was an actual child and Daniel never forgets that and brings it up twice a year to Max until they die.

Best Race: Brazil delivers on both drama and at least one championship battle. Someone gets in deep shit in Las Vegas though so no one talks about anything else for an entire week. Singapore ends up being the most exciting race in terms of racecraft. Someone announces their unexpected retirement right before though so the Sky Sports commentators only talk about that instead of anything interesting on track. Sam Collins cries into his microphone.

Race Winners: Max, Charles, George, Carlos, Lewis. For sure. Lando Norris finally becomes a race winner. Carlos - purely self-indulgent - is P2. I cry like a baby on my couch while those two spray each other in the faces with champagne and Carlos cuffs Lando around the back of the neck and my partner looks at me and asks are we sure they’re not fucking and I eat my croissant in silence.

Surprise Pole Sitter: We have a KMag situation but with Bottas. He does not win the race, but he texts Lewis before he gets in the car and says just like old times. Lewis cries and thinks about retiring.

Points gap between 1 & 2: The Constructor’s championship is embarrassing and RBR gets flounced by both Mercedes and Ferrari. The Driver’s championship is a true fight to the end. Max wraps it up and when he and Charles shake hands in the cool down room (while George looks on like the awkward freak he can be), Max pretends he doesn’t see Charles’ tears and Charles pretends that he doesn’t see the way Max looks tired.

Biggest Team Rivalry: Internal? Oh, next year is going to be bad. Max and Checo snipe at each other in interviews until Christian is forced to insert Danny into every single marketing video and be present every time the two drivers have to be in the same room. Christian has to keep giving him raises, but don’t worry. It’s not coming out of the cost cap. Surprisingly, Esteban and Pierre get along fairly well until Estie Bestie gives Pierre’s car a little love tap and they both crash out. Este says it’s not his fault. Fernando doesn’t understand why this kid (Lance) doesn’t actually give a shit about racing and it blows up. Zak realizes that he is forcing twink on twink crime and they turn on him. I become the Lucille Bluth good for her meme.

Most wins by one driver in the 2023 season: Max again. But it’s close and it goes all the way to the end. We all cry every single week and we get many many new blogs dedicated to the math of the championship standings. One of them gets cancelled for being transphobic.

Wildcard predictions: We get an unexpected retirement announcement. A former driver gets outted and we all have to get on Twitter and educate the masses on how there’s likely a queer driver, but it’s not exactly safe for them to be out and holy fuck, why are we forcing people out of the closet? Mick has to fill in for someone who is too sick to drive and he finishes well in the points and he gets a full time seat offer for the 2024 season. Daniel never comes back to racing full-time, but he does regain all the weight he lost and we cheer for him and his silly little expensive merch.

So then, quite a race that was. Bit crazy, some good racing, questioned what I was seeing a couple times, and some good feels right at the end. What can I say, always nice to see a first time podium.

Alrighty then, congrats to the podium finishers, Max, Lando, and Oscar! Max grabbed the Red Bull constructor's title with this finish. And Lando and Oscar gave McLaren a nice double podium, Oscar taking his first podium in F1. McLaren were a force to be reckoned with this weekend.

Well done to the rest of the points finishers, too! In order we had Charles, Lewis, Carlos, George, Nando, Esteban, and Pierre. Ferrari and the Mercs were battling for position for a good portion of this race. Though Mercedes' strategy did go a bit awry at the end.

Good job to the rest of the race finishers as well! In order, they were Liam, Yuki, Zhou, Hulk, and K-Mag. K-Mag had that contact with Checo early on, but at least his car was able to keep going. And, honestly, considering that a quarter of the field didn't finish, finishing at all, even out of the points, isn't that bad.

Speaking of, we have those that didn't see the checkered flag. Val was the first out after contact with a couple cars in the beginning of the race. Then Checo retired his car after collision damage as well. Lance was next out with, so far, an unknown issue to me. Then Logan pitted to retire due to damage. Then Alex retired his car, probably thanks to damage too. And then...Checo retired his car a second time after heading out to clear the penalty he acquired. It was...interesting, safe to say. And a very up and down day for Red Bull. On one hand, Max win and sealing the constructors' championship. On the other...uh, everything that happened to Checo. In any case, best of luck to those who didn't finish next time out.

Speaking of, the next race will be in Qatar in two week's time. Hopefully I'll be able to catch it. Been a bit more busy lately, but I do still like to sit and watch a race to chill for a bit. Or...whatever I was doing during this race. :P

Wasted Plotential: Cameron/Vertress Conference

Out of inspiration for my favorite MK YouTuber; The4thSnake, I’ve decided to do my own Wasted Plotential take with the Pokemon Anime series, so let’s see how this turns out!

The Best Wishes series is quite... something to the Pokemon Fandom. Many go as far to outright claim it’s the worst out of all the Pokemon Seasons. Whether you go or don’t go by that, I wholeheartedly respect whatever your opinion is, but to me personally, I think it’s just fine. Yeah, it’s not perfect, but then again, nothing in media is, but I will agree with many that there are still plenty of things that could’ve been dealt with a whole lot better, starting with one of Ash’s BW rivals: Cameron.

Oh Arceus, where do I even start with this character? To me, he is absolutely the worst, the most horrible rival Ash could ever get in the anime as a whole. Worse than absolute jobbers like Stephan and Nando, worse than no-personality and motivation Bea, worse than shoehorned Tobias, this little good-for-nothing twerp is just THAT bad. Let’s start with his intelligence... or lack of any, to be more precise. This dude thought you needed 7 Gym Badges to qualify for a league instead of 8, a remote controller was his Pokedex, 5 was the max limit of your team for a Full Battle, and that Unova’s league would take place in an entirely different region. This isn’t just plain incompetence, this is Team Rocket levels of incompetence. Heck, these are all things that freakin’ Original Series Ash knew before he started his journey! Just... how can you be this dense? And the writers want us to take him seriously by making him a rival? Freakin’ no! And despite showcasing himself to be an absolute idiot 24-7, he’s somehow a competent battler as well? Talk about an example of inconsistent character.

Besides being an absolute moron, Cameron is also shown to be... just like Ash: brash, competitive, hot-headed, and fun-loving. Yeah, because in terms of rivals, it’s not like that’s unoriginal at all *coughRitchieandMorrisoncough*. Many people say one of his redeeming qualities is that he has pretty awesome mons on his team like Lucario, Samurott, and Hydreigon, though to me, that just raises his dislikability even more, because how would someone as stupid as Cameron have such mons on his team in the first place? Writer’s pet much?

Anywayz, in terms of the whole Wasted Plotential thing, there really wouldn’t be all that I would change for Cameron pre-league. I mean, Ash already has an intense rivalry with Trip, so I don’t see a reason giving him another one in the form of Cameron. With that said, things would largely play out the same as they did originally: Cameron shows up, proves to be an absolute dope, but showcases at least a semblance of talent through his fight against Marlon. At this point, this is when things take a slight change. After giving Cameron his badge, Marlon talks with Ash in secret afterwards to tell him that at the near-end of the battle... he actually had his Pokemon take a dive (har-har) for Cameron. Ash is surprised and Marlon tells him that throughout the battle, he saw how determined Cameron was despite many seeing him as a brainless dope, so with his goal of reaching the Unova League being so close, he felt sorry for the young trainer, which is why he intentionally lost to him in order to help the kid out in his quest.

This whole conversation adds more depth to Ash and Cameron’s friendship. After leaving Marlon’s gym, Ash keeps a close eye on Cameron from there on out, wanting to make sure his friend stays on a steady path to the league without getting himself lost by his own incompetence all the while falsely praising Cameron on his win in order to keep his confidence up.

At the league proper, Cameron manages to make his way through some fodder trainers and Bianca and these wins make Ash a little proud for Cameron for a bit... until he realizes that his win against the fodder trainers were mostly dumb luck and that literally anyone can beat Bianca, considering her incompetence is about almost as on-par with Cameron’s. When Ash and Cameron’s battle starts, everything plays the same with Cameron, like in the original script, realizes he brought the wrong amount of Pokemon for the Full Battle, and this time, he loses. Badly. Even with Riolu’s evolution.

This defeat crushes Cameron. So much so, that after he recalls Lucario without so much of a word, he admittedly turns around and bolts for the exit, tears streaming down his face. Despite the win, Ash can’t help but feel sorry for Cameron, feeling this devastating defeat was partially his fault due to his previous inflating of Cameron’s ego after his battle against Marlon. After Ash gets his Pokemon healed up, he finds Cameron sitting outside the league with his Lucario, sulking. Ash sits with them and that’s when Cameron tells him just how embarrassed he is, considering he went into a Full Battle with only 5 mons and lost horribly in front of a live audience. Not wanting to hurt Cameron even more by revealing Marlon’s false defeat, Ash decides to humble Cameron by telling him this: Cameron, you’re a great trainer and you care so much for your Pokemon. That’s why you now have Lucario here. But while it’s one thing to train your Pokemon, you also must train yourself.

Cameron is confused by this at first until Ash brings up all the incompetent moments Cameron had ever since they first met. This makes Cameron realize just how poor of a trainer he can be to his Pokemon if he doesn’t improve on his own faults. This whole conversation, I feel, would add even more depth to Cameron’s character and put a little touch of majority on Ash’s part. And this is when Ash reveals the truth of Marlon’s defeat. Cameron is shocked at first, but quickly regains his confidence when Ash tells him that, once he feel he’s ready, go back and show him how Cameron wins.

The two make up afterwards and Cameron watches Ash’s battle against Vergil. In order to not change the narrative too much, Ash will still lose, but unlike in the original script, he will go down with a whole lot more dignity. It’s a fairly close battle and the climax will ultimately with Pikachu facing off against a mon that even catches Ash’s friends by surprise: Sylveon. Being a new type, Ash and Pikachu are completely unaware of how to properly deal with it and not even Iris and Cilan are able to help that much either. While Ash does learn that Pikachu’s Iron Tail is super-effective, thanks to their previous struggles combined with Sylveon’s powerful fairy moves and healing, Pikachu faints at the end, albeit, during some serious damage to Sylveon beforehand.

Introducing a new Eeveelution, combined with a new typing, would’ve honestly been great way to get both Ash and the audience interested in what Gen 6 could offer. Sure, Alexa in the Decolore Islands and her team kinda did that, but I feel things would’ve been a lot more interesting had Gen 6′s tease been introduced in the form of a league. I mean, they did the same thing in a way in Johto with Harrison’s Blaziken and Kecleon, so I don’t see why they couldn’t do it here. Anywayz, after the lost, Ash and Vergil congratulate each other for their efforts, with Vergil telling Ash that he pulled up one of the most intense battles he ever had in his life. Ash thanks Vergil and then asks him about Sylveon, with Vergil telling him he got it while exploring a region called Kalos, sparking Ash’s interest.

And there we go! That’s how I would improve Cameron’s character and Vertress Conference without changing up the narrative a bit. Hope you enjoyed reading this little experiment and thanks for listening to my random anipoke thoughts.

In a Nearly Perfect Pokeani World...

So I’ve been seeing a lot of M20 salt going around, including my own, and my friends and I thought it would be a great idea to dream up a perfect, ideal Pokémon anime. Beware- this is a VERY long post, but we’re talking 20 years worth of changes here. I tried making it as realistic as possible to the anime we’ve grown to know and love, but added/removed certain events on my own accord. Like I said, this is my personal opinion so feel free not to agree with everything- it’s all in good fun! And thanks to my friends @djsockpuppet, @itstimetodrew, @dentos-wife, @floaromanights, @mistyisbae and @rosssquirtle for giving me their contributions as well!

Ash isn’t eternally 10. He’s aging slowly, but his age is never brought up again after the first episode. He does make references in the future series, however, to the fact that several years have gone by since he started his journey.

Game logistics are taken into consideration: Ash can still be a brash, bumbling fool in the first season, but there are no cop-outs (such as the sprinklers weakening Onix or Erika awarding him the Rainbow Badge after saving Gloom, etc.). He wins them fair and square- maybe not in the smartest way possible, but he finds creative solutions.

The water ballet and Team Rocket chaos in the Cerulean Gym happen in one episode; Ash and Misty have an actual, uninterrupted gym match in the next episode. Ash wins and gets the Cascade Badge.

The gang spends more time in game locations and less time in obscure silly anime-exclusive towns never to be talked about again. Another episode in Saffron featuring Silph Co. would’ve been cool.

There is a special right before Mewtwo Strikes Back that directly echoes the Rocket CD drama on Mew’s origin. We see Miyamoto recording the cries of Mew (in an anime or game-exclusive location, NOT the Andes Mountains to avoid confusion about the real world and the Pokéverse), and also see her put Jessie into foster care. Madame Boss and a younger Giovanni are also shown.

Jessie and James recognize each other when they are paired as partners in “Training Daze.” We find out what happened after they dropped out of Pokémon Tech and joined the Bike Gang.

There’s an episode where some crazy scientists find out Meowth can talk and want to conduct a dangerous experiment on him. Ash and co., and the TRio, help him escape and he makes it his goal to be the sole Pokémon interpreter for the rest of the series (of course, he vows use his interpreting skills in Team Rocket’s favor).

4Kids is still dubbing the anime, and all of the original voice actors (save for Maddie, rest her soul) are still intact. All of the dumb “painted” edits are nonexistent. All dialogue is accurate and similar to what’s being said/done in the sub. ALSO, NO DUB MUSIC.

We find out why Brock left Professor Ivy and came back home.

There is a GS Ball arc that leads up the events of Pokémon: 4Ever.

The TRio, similar to the SM series, does not appear in every episode. Yes, there are fillers but it’s not the same “CoTD/TRio-shows-up formula” every single time.

That being said, LESS FILLERS IN JOHTO. I loved them personally, but it did drag on.

The TRio’s assistant, Mondo, appears from time to time video-chatting them from Headquarters. He’s responsible for all the crazy mechas they use and he complains about them destroying his hard work, which becomes a gag throughout the series.

The Johto admins (Ariana, Petrel, etc.) are introduced in the Lugia Arc. Butch, Cassidy and Namba are still there but are working underneath the higher-ups. Silver replaces the CotDs and helps Ash and co. stop Team Rocket. It’s hinted that Ariana is Silver’s mother.

Silver is also known to be Jimmy’s rival in “The Legend of Thunder.”

There are more battles between Misty and Ash! Misty acts as a bit of a coach from time to time.

Speaking of Misty, SHE wins the Whirl Cup.

Misty also gets her own ending.

There are more episodes featuring Casey and Ritchie! Maybe a fun baseball game episode where the Electabuzz team comes to play at a stadium in Johto!

More Gary episodes in Johto. Gary has an ending too. Why the hell not. It would be the last ending of the OS series, showing his dream of becoming a Pokémon Researcher as well as his relationship with Ash.

Lots of foreshadowing hinting at Brock’s eventual decision to become a Pokémon Doctor. Give him his own developmental arcs in AG and DP.

EVOLUTIONS IN OS: Not all have to evolve, but SOME should have.

An episode where Ash and Pikachu get into an argument and Pikachu runs away (nothing too drastic). This would kind of give a realistic approach to relationships and how even theirs isn’t perfect 24/7.

MAY CATCHES THE SWABLU. AND USES IT IN HER CONTESTS.

Ash’s arrogance in AG bites him in the butt at some point. He suffers a devastating loss in one of the gym battles and realizes he’s been a bit of a jerk about rushing his companions along. He offers to support May in her journey more and not be as brash. This kind of leads to his mellowing out/maturing in the DP series.

Make the Hoenn League not as boring somehow. This kind of heads into “Should Ash have had a rival in AG?” territory, and I’m personally not sure how to weigh the pros and cons of that since this series was so well done.

Max gets his own ending.

Solidad is introduced in the first episode of Battle Frontier. She gives her whole “I know Drew” spiel to May early on and says she’s planning to enter the Kanto GF. She appears a few more times until the GF. She still wins the GF, but there’s at least more buildup and she has more of a relationship with May.

Drew appears in Destiny Deoxys and assists the gang, as he obviously knows his way around LaRousse city.

The “Mastermind of Mirage Pokémon” does not exist. A better 10th anniversary arc is in its place, featuring a good portion of the current cast.

Lance and Steven get better cameo episodes. In fact, the entire Elite 4 is shown in their respective regions throughout the series.

May is a bit more emotional about the group splitting up. She’s happy to set out on her own journey, but it would’ve been more meaningful to see her just a teensy bit sad about leaving Ash and Brock.

There’s more backstory on Dawn and Johanna, and what made Dawn want to be a coordinator as opposed to a trainer. Some tension between the two would’ve been interesting- maybe Johanna could’ve been more of a “stage mom” putting some pressure on Dawn, or maybe Dawn put the pressure on herself to be perfect because of her mom, and that would be the very core of her developmental arc, to which she realizes her way of thinking is wrong and begins her goal of coordinating for herself and her pokémon.

Barry is introduced as Dawn’s childhood friend alongside Kenny; none of them travel together though obviously and all somehow receive their starter Piplup at different times.

More bonding moments between Brock and Dawn.

Less fillers in DP. There can be fillers, just less and the pacing is evenly balanced between fillers and gym battles/contest episodes.

Ursula is introduced early on. She beats Dawn in a contest at least once.

Scrap the Kenny vs. Ash battle at the end of the series. Make it one final onscreen Dawn vs. Kenny battle instead.

More exposure with the Sinnoh rivals in general. Replace the fillers with more episodes featuring Conway, Barry, Nando, and the coordinators.

Some foreshadowing for Buneary’s modeling career with the Hearthome Collection! And while we’re at it, a few more PokéStylist episodes.

Marina makes a special appearance to judge a Pokémon Contest, particularly one Dawn loses. Backstage, she finds Dawn and encourages her to keep going despite the odds. Marina’s appearance would also further promote HeartGold and SoulSilver. She references Jimmy and Vincent in a flashback. Ash remembers Vincent from the Johto League. Also, in the Johto League, his name was Vincent. No Jackson nonsense.

Dawn gives Ambipom to Princess Salvia instead of that dumb “O” guy, when Salvia gives her Togekiss.

After Ash defeats Paul, Paul basically “apologizes” to Infernape in his own words. This provides some good closure.

Brock and Dawn get their own goodbye flashback sequences. Brock’s montage especially highlights everything he’s done during the past 12 seasons.

May and Dawn get their own spinoff series, in which they are protagonists of a show that solely focuses on the coordinator sphere. The episodes flip-flop back and forth to show May in Johto, competing against Drew, Harley, Solidad and new rivals here and there, and same with Dawn in Hoenn. The Wallace Cup arc stays the same, except the episodes following portray May and Dawn as buddies keeping in touch and checking in on each other. The Sinnoh coordinators also make frequent appearances. Serena eventually joins the show as a novice coordinator, whom Dawn and eventually May take under their wing.

The Chronicles never ended; this time, newer protagonists sans the coordinators are added and we get to see frequent glimpses of their lives. We learn how Gary started working for Professor Rowan, we see Brock’s adventures on the journey to becoming a Pokémon Doctor, we see Max start his journey as a novice trainer, and of course there are plenty of episodes that still feature Ash’s previous pokemon, Delia, Tracey, Ritchie, Butch and Cassidy, etc.

Ash isn’t terribly incompetent in Best Wishes, but he suffers a bit of a setback not being used to battling so many new and unfamiliar pokémon. This is the first time he’s completely alone without Brock and with completely new people, so it’s a huge culture shock. Iris and Cilan are there to help him get back on his feet. Still, battles such as the Elesa one and first battle with Trip aren’t completely ridiculous.

There’s no Pikachu reset at the beginning of every region. Pikachu, like all pokemon, wins some and loses some, but the losses aren’t outrageously ridiculous, such as the loss against Trip’s Snivy (which Ash would win here).

Cilan and Iris get their own endings.

Cilan catches more pokémon.

Iris is secretly in training to become the next gym leader of Opelucid, and she is the last gym leader Ash battles. Good plot twist, eh?

Dear lord, develop the Connoisseur thing. This is the whole point of Cilan’s journey, so it’s so important to have the PCA be on par with the exposure May and Dawn’s journeys got.

Have Pokémon Connoisseur “Conventions” be the goal for both Cilan and Burgundy, maybe starting during Season 2. These conventions could be comprised of two rounds in which Connoisseurs give “public evaluations” to up-and-coming trainers and then later evaluate pokémon-human relationships through battles. A series of judges gives them criticism and ranks them and whoever has the highest score wins; it’s very similar to the Contest structure.

^Imagine an arc where Cilan has to evaluate a trainer’s Purrloin and he flops terribly because of his fear. We eventually find out why he’s so afraid of Purrloin and Ash and Iris help him overcome this fear somehow. The next time he competes in one of these conventions, toward the end of the series, he has to evaluate a Liepard- and now, with his fear completely gone, he does extremely well.

Develop literally ALL the BW rivalries more. Cilan/Burgundy and Iris/Georgia for the most part. These rivals were amazing characters, they had so much potential so it would’ve been great to see them more aside from being shoved into the Club Battles and Junior Cup. Have the rivals travel to the Decolora Islands as well, so that they’re not shafted after Season 2.

Speaking of the Junior Cup, have Dawn do a little more during her cameo. She felt kinda invisible. Also, slow down her battle with Ash.

Introduce more Pokémon Connoisseurs, geez. Ricard could be a great antagonist similar to Harley- maybe he tries rigging the system at one of these conventions. Bring back that female Connoisseuse from “A Connoisseur’s Revenge!” and introduce Santo in THIS series so we have a familiar face at the Pokémon Showcase in XY.

The Rocket vs. Plasma arc airs sometime during the BW era. Ash and Giovanni recognize each other from the Mewtwo incident at Mt. Quena.

Episode N is done completely differently; N is introduced at the beginning of the series and is a recurring character.

Cameron doesn’t exist, or at least he exists as one of the menial trainers Ash defeats in the Unova League preliminaries.

Ash vs. Trip isn’t the first round. They have a heated match in the semi-finals, but their battle is interrupted when the Plasma castle rises from the ground. And bam- the main Plasma arc begins.

Give Cress his own episode! Chili got one, after all!

Speaking of, give the Striaton brothers their own flashback episode. How they got the elemental monkeys, how they became gym leaders, etc.

A more emotional goodbye episode for the Best Wishes trio, seriously! They had an amazing dynamic and were very close; it was surprising to see them so chipper on the train. Also, clarify their goals for the future a bit better.

Ash’s XY (and going forward) personality is a combination of that of all the previous series. He’s not as bumbling as he was in OS but not as brash and impatient as he was in AG, either. He’s a combination of all with just a tad more maturity. He makes references to his previous traveling companions and makes the occasional snarky quip here and there.

Ash isn’t blind to romance, but it’s not his main concern. Hints created solely by the dub to promote [insert ship here] are nonexistent.

In this case, Ash isn’t completely blind to the fact that Serena has feelings for him, but his main concern is battling and helping people and pokémon. He does get a little blush-y after the kiss, though. Fans are free to interpret this whichever way they want.

No matter what happens though, Ash and Serena come out of this series as good friends. There are more moments beyond the “Serena’s-got-a-crush” moments where they battle together and help each other out, reaching the “in-sync” level Ash and Dawn had.

More bonding moments between Ash/Bonnie, and Serena/Clemont.

The XY rival trio is handled better. It was nice seeing Shauna for the most part, but give Tierno and Trevor something to do too. They, along with Serena, could’ve also had a better role in the Flare Arc.

Speaking of which, slow down the Kalos League. It sucked that it was shafted for the Flare Arc. Ash doesn’t have to win, but it felt very rushed. This is where Tierno and Trevor could’ve came in and not have been shafted after the first few rounds.

Serena does more before her decision to become a Pokémon Performer. It could be anything as easy as entering a Rhyhorn racing competition or battling more.

IRIS GETS HER CAMEO IN XY DAMMIT.

There’s more buildup/episodes featuring the relationship between Ash and Froakie/Frogadier/Greninja. We get a little taste of Greninja’s feelings as opposed to just Ash’s.

Greninja doesn’t leave and winds up getting Oak’d. Let the Zygarde figure things out on their own lol.

Delia, Oak, Tracey and possibly others are shown watching the Kalos League on television, and worriedly watching the news during the Flare Arc.

Gary visits the Kalos region to work on another project. Serena recognizes him as the bratty grandson from the Oak summer camp and the two engage in some banter.

A few Pallet Town episodes in between generations, geez. Let Delia see her son! In the meantime, have Ash check in with Gary, Tracey and possibly Misty and Brock.

Oh yeah, one last thing. M20 would’ve had this plot instead.

15th April 2017

I didn’t sleep well, again (shock of the century). The guy from Bristol was snoring. He hasn’t snored before so he must’ve been drunk. I heard him come in around 0130 and Cherry come in around 0200. By 0500, I had to search around for my locker key and then search around for my earplugs in my locker. About about an hour of forcing myself back to sleep, I was out and I was out for good. I didn’t hear Steve’s alarm or him getting out of bed. He woke me up at 0810 to go down for breakfast before he went to work. Dan was working again so he and Megan were meeting us for food. Dan is always late so they got down around 0830. By then, I was almost finished eating and was onto the rubbish coffee. The boys started at 0900 and left the hostel at 0857. Not a bad commute if you ask me.

We sat at breakfast chatting away with Sophie and a new girl called Kat from Croydon. She’s from Croydon originally but she lives in Swindon. My uncle and cousin live in Swindon, they sound like farmers. Sophie and Megan had to do their food shop today so we said we’d all go together to Aldi. We left at 1100 after we were showered and dressed.

We walked the 20 minutes, popping into a juice shop for Sophie to get a large berry-fantansia (drink to make her go through an eye of a needle) and Aussie Disposals for Megan who had to buy Dan a work top. We went into Aldi and the food shop was done within an hour or so. We got the tram back to the hostel because nobody wanted to relieve the ‘carrying the shopping bags and trousers falling to the ground’ issue again.

Shopping done, food put away - time for lunch! Megan and I made bacon, onion, pepper and cheese omelettes. For the first time ever, my omelette actually came out like an omelette. Not scrambled egg. I flipped it and it went like a pancake. I was so excited. Megan said it was perfect so I’ll take that. We sat with Sophie who had melted cheese on toast. A girl came up to us and asked if she could sit with us so of course, we said yes. This is the greatest part of travelling, you meet people so easily. Maxine (max) was from the Netherlands and she shared her breakfast with us. She was having a slice of bread, with crunchy peanut butter and chocolate sprinkles. The chocolate sprinkles are a Dutch delicacy apparently but it was so good. The box wasn’t in English so I couldn’t read anything. They just look like your average hundreds and thousands you put on your 99 flake ice cream. It worked so well together.

Sophie, Megan, Max and I left for a wonder. We wanted to do a bit of window shopping. Megan didn’t own anything long sleeved and Sophie needed tights. We walked around going into pointless shops wishing we had money (like I do at home too). Megan got a $10 jumper in H&M which she was happy about. Sophie also managed to find jeans that fit her. She’s all leg, Soph. She’s so tall and she’s got quite wide hips like me. I’ve never seen anyone so happy to find jeans that fit on the first 'try-on’. She even told the guy behind the cashier. She told him it’s gold.

We then went on into Zara pretending to have money and then onto Target. I bought Steve an Easter bunny chocolate thing. It was quite big and full of smarties. I bought one for Mel too in hope to cheer her up a little bit. Megan and Sophie bought one too so we planned to go back to the hostel and drink tea whilst eating them. What a plan.

We walked back, popping into more shops here and there. By 1530, we were back in the warm. You know it’s cold in Australia when the hostel advertises extra blankets to keep warm. Might try and turn it into a coat… We had 2 cups of tea and ate some Easter chocolate. The chocolate was worse than a Poundland own… Better than nothing and better than spending $20 on a Cadbury egg that doesn’t taste like Cadbury at all.

Whilst Mel was out, I got a room key off her roommate and snuck into her room. I left her chocolate bunny on her pillow with a note saying that I hoped she feel better soon. Luckily I did it when I did, she walked into the kitchen 5 minutes after. We all sat around chatting for the next hour or so.

At 1700, we went into the TV room. Flinders has quite a big TV room. There’s 3 massive levels with about 8 beanbags on each and its pitch black. The TV is your average sized British flatscreen and they have a book full of films that you can pick. It’s usually full up and you just have to watch whatever is on at the time. When we walked in, a film I had never seen was on. It had Bradley Cooper in so I didn’t mind. At Mad Monkey, they had a similar room but it had Netflix. Flinders do movie marathon nights in and give free popcorn too so that’s nice. We’ve never gone down to watch a film yet though. I’m waiting for a Harry Potter marathon.

Steve and Dan walked in after finishing work. They’ve done such long hours and their body aches so much all for less than minimum wage, over bank holiday too. I feel so bad for them. It’s money though and it’s better than nothing. Steve will have enough for 2 more weeks accommodation. My face completely lights up when he gets in from work. I get my best friend back.

Steve was so dusty and dirty, when he took his glasses off, there was a distinct outline of them. I laughed so much. He looked like a right tramp, with his ripped shorts on his bum cheek. Can’t afford to buy new ones and I haven’t found anyone with a sewing kit yet. He’s alright though, it’s not like he doesn’t wear boxers.

We all chilled for a bit before going down to make dinner. Megan and I weren’t all that hungry but the boys were starving. Dan mentioned to me yesterday that he was going to go Nando’s for his lunch break today. I asked Steve in the room what he had but he had said nothing. I slyly said how was the Nando’s and he started laughing. That man cannot lie for anything. I catch him out on everything! I want to tell Megan but I don’t want to start an argument. Megan and Dan have $200 to last them through. I’ll leave it although it would be funny.

We went down for dinner and we all had tuna pasta. Pretty basic but cost effective - 70c each. Not bad eh? Al-di Al-di Al-di. We sat with Kat and the rest of our group. Max cooked too much of her dinner and let Steve and I try it. She had pasta with pesto, cream, onion, bacon and avocado. I really didn’t like it but Steve loved it. He had the whole lot. We’ve not properly tried avocado before but it’s so fatty. Good fats but any fat is a danger zone for me. Steve then couldn’t eat all of his own dinner but Cherry finished it off, of course. She’s Nunu from Teletubbies. A hoover.

Megan, Kat and I decided to go to the comedy festival at 2115. There’s a massive festival going on at the moment in Melbourne - it’s everywhere. A lot of people are here purely for the festival. I’m funny with comedy, I like your basic Lee Evans and Michael McIntyre. We went upstairs to get ready and planned to leave by 2045. Obviously that didn’t happen, we left at 2055. We jumped on the tram and headed the 15 stops to Richmond. It’s only one stop on the train and takes roughly 1 minute normally but trams stop at every single street. Quite annoying actually.

We got to the little bar/pub it was being held in. It was called Station 52 - looked like your average old style pub with rubbish curtains and carpet that couldn’t be more opposites in pattern. Pool table dotted right in the middle of the room and 50+ year olds on the bar with no teeth. I loved it - $6 pints. Kat was the only one to order though.

We sat in a small room with about 15 rows of chairs listening to Australian men try to be funny. We didn’t laugh. We listened to the first guy until 2200 and then listen to the second until 2230. They make a lot of jokes about Donald Trump, Rolf Harris and Hitler. I didn't find them funny.

We left and made our way back. It was less than 10 degrees outside and I still didn’t own a coat. Patience Charlie, patience. My mum told me to just buy any jacket so that I’m warm but it’s a good $100 for a decent one. I’m not spending that, not without a job.

Steve and Dan were in the casino sports bar waiting for the F1 and football. Dan supports Crystal Palace and they were playing. We decided to meet them there and have one pint. The cheapest being $7.50 for XXXX pronounced 4X. Kat asked for it as “triple X plus 1” and I couldn’t stop laughing. Steve and Dan had a friend called Bill but I hadn’t a clue where he was from. He had a massive accumulator on where he was a few teams away from winning $13,000. He was so entertaining. Kat’s friend Jeffery joined us half way through too. He’s from Belgium, speaks French but learning English. Bill asked him “what part of France are you from?” And he replied “Belgium”. Bill was like 'whaaaaat?!’. It was so funny. We were all laughing for ages.

The football carried on for what seemed to be hours. It isn’t even race day either for the F1. It was 0200 and I wasn’t even sleep depriving myself for something important. We left around 0230 and I was in bed by 0300. I asked reception for another blanket so I’m snug as a bug. Not getting up for breakfast. Tomorrow = lay in day!

O Spotlight this tuesday (3/24) gets the real weather pie that the teen soap Malhao – Every way to love to present. That's because the plot has quite a bust. Anjinha (Caroline Dallarosa) and her boyfriend is really looking forward to a night of love, but when they try to go to a motel they'll come face to face with the girl's father, Marco (Julio Machado). Be a mess!

Edith reacts badly, but Helena says they can treat each other in a civilized way, even though they are “rivals” for Nando's love. Sebastio makes Nando see the impact that his change in look caused on social networks. Isabela gets furious when Yolanda says she asked Ana for forgiveness and even suggests that she do the same. Fernando tells Ana that he doesn't want there to be any secrets between them, and that makes her feel bad. Jennifer tells Fanny that everything went well with Dorival and Ana. Isabela does not accept giving Dorival money in exchange for information about Ana. Ngelo informs Fanny and Jennifer that the situation is serious. Isabela feels betrayed by Yolanda, who insists that she is sorry for all the wickedness against Ana. Isabela decides to investigate everything on her own and not pay Dorival anything. She starts searching on the internet, and finds out that Ana dances in “Chicago”. Ana is nervous when Luz asks if she is going to marry her father, as she saw them kissing in the library.

Karen assures Sofia that she wins the case against her ex-husband. Sofia comments what the lawyer said to the peloton's friends and Jenny overhears the conversation.

18 Jan 2018 - hanging out with the uni besties at nandos

Feels like I’ve been back forever. Anyway. Went to work today, left at 4pm and came back, drank tea quick, had one custard cream, ate way too many millies cookies, checked my phone where my uni friends were meeting in town and I was very much a part of their plan, we were talking on whatsapp all day about later and how much working life sucks and stuff. I said I’ll be there at 6pm and Max said hurry up. I don’t know, feelings of being wanted are fucking new to me. Anyway headed off, called Max as nobody was there and he said they were in Nandos and he would come meet me. Met him who was glad to see me as always which is awesome, walked in and Diana and Shantelle hugged me as they passed me and I joined the table and sat next to Max diagonally opposite Shelton. Next to him was Diana then Shantelle and next to me was Max then Sita. Then Gracie joined us later yay the whole gang was here for once! I love these guys. Me and Shelton laughed and complained about Nandos and how expensive it was and how we have to do everything ourselves and I was so relaxed, so myself, so unanxious, so not socially conscious, so at ease. I had a chicken pitta. We left and walked to the networking event and we stood at the back, Max against the wall then Shelton leaning against the wall, me behind, then Gracie then Diana then Shantelle. Gracie was saying something about hotdogs and giving me a commentary when people were talking and I was laughing and we were giggling in the back. The speaker said something about new faces and something about friends here and there I stood, feeling how high my heels were as my feet started to ache and I shifted my balance. I could smell the leather jacket of Shelton in front as his shoulder drifted into my eyeline and I had to move a little. I could hear random people outside as they passed the massive windows and hear Gracie whisper things about hotdogs and microphone leads in my ear. I watched the photographer slink in and out and the mish mash of different chairs in the full room and feel the draft of the icy chill outside when someone walked in through the door late and stood behind the people gathered there so not to disturb everyone. I thought yeah we’re a group of friends. FRIENDS. Awesome friends and in Shelton’s words himself, BEST friends. How the fuck did this become my life?!?

We had a break, got a drink where I talked to a guy I talked to at a networking event a few weeks ago and he remembered me and said I’ll talk to you later Alice, like he knew me. I KNOW people man, my network is expanding, I know people and they know me, because of me. I’m going out there and meeting people and stuff like wtf?! We came back and I sat in the corner with Gracie in the very corner and Shelton and Max sat on the table. After that speaker everyone else mingled and me and Gracie stayed there talking about the painting on the wall and her work and mine and running a rabbit rescue centre and life and we just laughed and had a real good time, just, ugh.

Then we headed to a kebab place and after that we went our separate ways and said see you at graduation. Now I’m sat here in my duvet, am going to watch my favourite show (wwe raw hell yes), eat cereal and I don’t have work tomorrow. I might go shopping or something fun and FINALLY catch up on sleep. Ehehehe!
