required reading for the magical "voice" headcanon and another for starstruck's signature in particular. asked by @trainerbob23 !
#did i need to do a 9 page comic for this... well who knows. i had this scene in mind for a long time and wanted to do it justice!#important moment for both of them. you can see starstruck just generating the bandee shaped mental illness in real time.#and bandee resolving to be her point of contact with waddle dees if the others can't handle it#he is after all; the strongest and the bravest and the best of them.#“what is this signature like” it's like meeting something that has a human face but you can tell it is Not Human. think: uncanny valley#it also took her quite some time to pick up her own voice. she could not speak (popstarian) on her own for a while#she does not mimic anymore though if she can help it because it tends to weird others out and she wants to avoid that!!#it's not like a fun or enjoyable impersonation; it's like a perfect recording on a device.#also i guess this is *finally* the reveal of the 'hospital' mentioned previously that folks noticed and also like... her name 😂#anyway.... thank you to everyone who voted for starstruck in that poll and has encouraged this insane self indulgence... wow.#never thought i'd get to draw stuff like this and have others look forward to it. i really hope you'll enjoy this!!!#my art#my comics#starstruck dee#bandana waddle dee

#am having a category 7 autism moment over pipe organs#i do not remember the last time i opened up the wikipedia page for something to read recreationally#i initially sought out the list of the biggest ones (because large)and had to step down to the main page first because theres all this ling#and i wanna know what everything does#the music itself has to be a pretty specific vibe for me to like it bc if theyre not played a certain way it gets really cacophonous for me#but the instruments themselves are fucking monsters and playing them seems less like performing on a instrument#and more like harmonizing with a great beast#you start it with a key??#it takes all of your limbs and the thing is constantly breathing#the sound will continue for as long as you hold the note it will not dissipate???#you can record things and play them back it will even remember stop settings it has memory??#stops control how the pipes sound if youve ever heard of pulling out all the stops this is that#theyre like orchestras able to be played by a single person some of them even have voice sounds#the people who play these things are also their own type of beast#pipe organists are wild because god there's just so much#it scratches my loner badass complex so acutely#a lonely person shouldering an entire symphony contrasting against scores of people playing a single piece together as one#you could write an anime about this#did everyone else just already understand about these things or#blake.txt#good tags

What a delight#And the differences in ''endings'' down the vent if you bring Bucket or not and the Narrator ''disproving'' some fanon#Tbf I don't think most people actually thought he was like Just a recording but rather the aesthetic of him literally Being a cassette deck#Like the monitor head! It's all good! All of it!! He's a strong aesthetic man <3#Also saw?? Alex Hirsch in the credits sorry?? Was he the cassette man voice or? I don't know where else he might've been#And the Curator was mean in 2: Museum!! thinking about how God wants us to bring everything to Him with total trust and abandon but also work through things and figure things out with our intellects, hearts, friends, support systems.
#I know I’ve told this story before#But there was a time I was almost eaten alive with jealousy over a particular person#And it was KILLING me#and to alleviate my pain I recorded a one hour voice memo on my phone of me talking through every single aspect of it that I could#which helped immensely#but then I still had to (try to) surrender it in prayer#let it go and trust that God would undo the emotion in time#and it really is both things#People tend to fall on one side or the other. some love to browbeat people with the trust in God rhetoric#and I know some people love to think they will solve it on their own#and it’s just#anyway trying to bring things before the altar. all the things. all my STUPIDEST things. pettiest worries. most ridiculous fretting#but also trying to understand what work I need to do on those things#I love that it is that way. it’s a beautiful set up when I can see it objectively#and am not just crying about it all#anyway idk this was just on my heart!

Just about ready to start recording my tutorial for Deeping Wall, but there’s one thing I need to test during a side objective first and I haven’t got that side objective in six days.

I have a shitty professor and today it reached the boiling point - I was so fucking close to telling him off in class but made it to break 10 minutes later and packed my stuff and left
#then proceeded to almost yell about it in the hallway with my friend whom also left#and then spend fucking 50 minutes writing a page and a half critics for his evaluation#he straight up called another prof stupid#his own fucking colleague#his head is so far up his ass I can’t fucking take it anymore#I had already planned to leave the lecture if it turned out to only be on how to write an academic text in general#which I obviously knew how to do#but when he said that I was so close to just grabbing my stuff and leave right then and there#the fucking audacity#and that other professor is the sweetest woman on earth how dare he#he’s so fucking condescending and half his lectures are irrelevant and he spends so long preaching about how smart it is it makes him seem#so unreliable and removes all motivation I might have to do the course work#thank fucking god I only have two lectures with him next week#and I’ve already decided not to show up to those#if I need that info I’ll look it up or use his PowerPoints with voice overs most likely#hopefully he don’t have any stupid comments in those recordings…..#my friend was so nervous bc I was talking so loudly and I was like I don’t give a fuck#then I remembered other people have lectures and I would disturb them and I quited down but I almost wish he heard me#horrible guy -100/10#me#uni life yay#my list of complaints was so fucking long I might just add that doc to the evaluation
