TSUKIHIME FASHION REVIEW 4!!!!

hello hello everyone

*insert applause here*

i totally haven't been dealing with some severe writers block for this relatively improvised series of rants no way i just been uhh climbing a.... spiritual mountain! yes! that is it!

i strongly suggest everyone climb their own spiritual mountains it really helps clear *things* up

so today we will be returning to the much awaited tsukihime fashion review with the one and only CIEL so go whip up some good ole curry and read along for this rant breakdown of ciel's designs evolution throughout the years.

suddenly she hits you with this look and its like ugh i could go to war for much less. i could take on maybe a dead apostle or two or even a dead apostle ancestor. sure i'd die but what is death in front of curry senpai amirite? im suuuuuuure she would appreciate that sentiment

on a serious note tho she actually is adorable as hell and i can't believe i only literally just noticed that. the hair especially is to die for.

i used to feel somewhat indifferent to the design here especially concerning the tattoos which i think i still am. the biggest issue with the tattoos for me specifically the angel wings is simply they aren't symmetrical and thus look bad according to me but everything else is chefs kiss

i talked about this in the roa post but like wtf is wrong with roa man... first thing he does is strip down is bro ok? why does he do this? what does he gain? freak.

the remake makes her look much more generic in a sense especially concerning the hair

overall i would say the remake really went for a slightly more generic look in the hair department and i aint really a tm boomer or anything but it is such a shame

OPINION ON TRUE LOVE: It could be a thing, but it’s definitely not for him.

OPINION ON LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT: All chemicals, my dear.

HOW ROMANTIC ARE THEY?: Kimbley goes from 0 to 100 on the “romance” scale with no in-between. He either feels completely detached, or an insanely possessive, covetous monster bent on keeping someone all to himself. No, it’s not healthy, but did I ever say Kimbley wasn’t a psychopath??

IDEAL PHYSICAL TRAITS: He’s honestly really shallow when it comes to normal human traits, I hate to tell ya. He likes handsomely/beautifully structured bodies he can really dig into, though I will say, as far as having preferences for like, hair or eye color, that doesn’t really matter much. But when it comes to monsters? The more grotesque, the better. Give him teeth and claws and Eldritch nastiness.

IDEAL PERSONALITY TRAITS: When it comes to folks he wants to generally spend his time with and will respect, rather than straight up manipulate, they need to be... maybe not as smart as himself, given his level of intelligence, but he needs them to be just as crafty and cunning. Folks who are willing to be dangerous and risky. They have to know who they are and be confident in where they stand in life. And they need to accept him for what he is---maybe not fully understand him, but know that he’s not going to be an easily-contained beast. Ultimately, he needs a partner that is capable of thrilling him, chilling him, fulfilling him. Yknow, that whole Rocky Horror Song.

UNATTRACTIVE PHYSICAL TRAITS: People who just don’t take care of themselves are at the top of the list. Really, he doesn’t tend to consciously register something that’s “unattractive”---he’ll just kinda be indifferent towards certain people.

UNATTRACTIVE PERSONALITY TRAITS: Stupidity, gullibility, no commitment to who they are, those who sacrifice themselves over silly causes. He’s repelled by sweet, empathetic souls---and will probably do all he can to manipulate them for his own amusement.

IDEAL DATE: Murder night. :^) Or, if they wanna be lowkey, maybe just committing some crimes in the darkness and then engaging further in some dirty deeds to celebrate their debauchery.

AVERAGE RELATIONSHIP LENGTH: Up until his time at the Nest, he’s never been in what could qualify as a “relationship.” It’s all been one night stands ending in gruesome death.

Where they can both tend to their own business or hobbies without it seeming like they have to be all in each other’s personal space. I follow you since s9 or 10 SPN Destiel meta era! :'D honestly i didnt even care about Loki prior to this series but i got attached to Loki/ Mobius immediatly! They do remind me of deancas even tho i see the show setting up sylvie and loki (imo with a simmilar dynamic to Mobius/Loki)

Honestly don't know how I ended up here I've avoided obsessing and analysing Loki for SO.LONG. And have never been much into the mcu tbh (like, I rewatched the original Avengers recently - cos, Loki - and I'm STILL as wildly indifferent to Coulson as I was the first time I watched, when I didn't even remember his name and was utterly '...huh?' and *shrug* about his death and very bemused that everyone was so galvanised by it) - AND YET HERE WE ARE :P

Can't promise any meta of the level of s09/s10 spn I'm afraid - I peaked in my tv analysis there I think and am just too old and don't have the time for such in depth study any more. But nice to be remembered xx There are worse legacies to have than being a known spn/deancas meta writer :)

And YAH! The lokius/deancas parallels are actually DRIVING ME CRAZY OMG.

Like, I was prepared for the TVA and time travel stuff to remind me of Dr Who and the Time Lords. I was NOT PREPARED for the TVA to mimic spn Heaven and Mobius to subsequently feel so much like Castiel - aaah! ...but I suppose it's all kinda in the same ballpark, really - arrogant, superior, cult-like higher power and the (formerly) loyal member who ends up going rogue... plus themes of identity and destiny vs. free will. It's all my jam, from Dr Who to spn to Good Omens (and The Umbrella Academy too). Once mcu added the TVA to their mythology it was a foregone conclusion (MY 'destiny' if you will :p) that I would be sucked in...

(currently hoping the show ISN'T setting up a romantic Loki/Sylvie atm tho... I'm not against the pairing in principle, and if the show does it well I'm open to enjoying it, as I said in answer to a previous ask about the topic... but in the last couple of days I've suddenly fallen EXTRA HARD for lokius and am starting to really dig the platonic thing Loki and Sylvie have, so, those are v much my preferred dynamics now! ...but we'll see!)

Thoughts for ep 11

Ugh. Kagura. Why do you have to be so precious 😭

This is the first episode post-beach arc, so we really get to see the changes from each characters. I'm gonna discuss Tohru and Kazuma first. Yup, Tohru with that serious "I won't give up" attitude is sending me. I almost forgot how the cat's burial is not on the Sohma estate rather faraway. I appreciate they didn't add that much music in the first part coz it was a really serious conversation between them. And that BIRD. That BIRD flying when they're discussing the curse. The amount of foreshadowing in this series has been too many to count so I would definitely rewatch this series again after it's done. We also get to see the outside vs inside (particularly the zodiacs) perspective towards Akito. It's great that Kazuma really pointed his view Akito as a fragile, child who's prone to screaming while the zodiacs view him as god who is to be feared and respected. It stresses as one of the reasons why they can't defy Akito. Also, Kazuma just really told Tohru to be herself and when she smiles, it gives them strength and the world seems gentler (damn right! And technically he's also correct on his advice esp given how that advice worked in the last chapters of the manga). And yes, every Tohru and Rin interaction is always acknowledged. Even just crumbs of it. I'm sure anime viewers would finally grasp that Tohru and Rin has the same goal (CAN'T WAIT FOR THEM!!)

Next, Shigure's house moments is one of my favorite scenes to watch in this series. I just find them quite heartwarming like Ayame's bit wherein he's concerned for Yuki (aaah!!)and Kyo telling Tohru he's going out but covered her ears when Shigure's just mentioned that it's a date. (CUTIEEEES!) Also, I cannot get over Yuki's face when Kyo told him that it's his job to take Tohru home. Aah that face. Never knew that reaction would eventually lead up to be the best fight between the two. Though, tbh I kinda like when their fights are just like this. Not too hostile but it's still pretty freaking hilarious.

Now on to Kagura!! I was really indifferent to her when I first read the manga. I thought she was just a side character without any heartbreaking backstories (which is quite stupid of me coz of course she's gonna have one. She's a zodiac) but when I read the confession scene. Just seeing the tremendous regret on her face was utterly devastating. I knew I would get teary-eyed when she explained her reasons for befriending him. Even if it was born out of pity, she eventually still loved him. She's flawed, she's very aware of her guilt and Kyo's pain so I applaud her for bravely speaking to him about it. I love her even more because of it. If there were more scenes about her, I'm sure she would end up becoming one of my favorites. Also, I'm not gonna end this without mentioning Kyo. He was really calm and level-headed in this ep and I'm so glad he's becoming more and more emotionally mature (tho he still has a long way to go) and not gonna lie, that hug scene got me. Seeing Kagura crying and clutching his shirt really hurts.

In addition, the backstory between them really hits me in the anime more than the manga. It's also wherein we realizes more of Kyo's life before her mother's death and how isolated he was (tho kyo looking like he waa swimming away from kagura was too adorable to look at)

If I have one comment tho, I guess the first part wherein they went home was a little too fast so some scenes for me were quite rushed and awkward but I kinda understand given how they're merging 3 chapters.

Really a tearjerker ep and they have to add those bits between them when they're playing during that hug scene was glorious. Damn this show wouldn't give me a break 😭.

Next week is Hatori and Mayu's ep. I'm just as hyped for their backstories as Kagura's. I'm also qute excited coz I get to see Hatori and Mayu interact (😍😍😍) As I said, they wouldn't really catch us a break!

Bonus: Yuki and Kyo sharing that one braincell once again will never get old

+Bonus: I have mixed feelings abt Kyo's shirt. It looks super good on him at the same time, I keep getting distracted on it everytime there's a serious moment my brain's all "maaan poor kyo/kagura" and the other half was like "he looks really dashing tho"

How do you feel about Voltron's new season?

christ why would you ask this lmao it’s not like i post my opinions on here on a regular basis??? anyway this gives me a good opportunity to rant tho so

1. HAHA okay let’s just get the big fucking issue out right here but i was absolutely mad with how they marketed this season based on lgbt rep! this has been said before (and probably better lmao) by other people, but what they did was in extremely poor taste and is pretty low tbh. they hyped up and marketed that voltron would have lgbt rep in this season, and hyped up adam as a character, then were so incredibly vague about it and didn’t confirm anything on screen and killed adam off lmao.

anywAY this ended up fucking long and i threw in some positives i enjoyed from the season at the end of this post, but this is 95% a big fucking long rant about the issues i have with this season so it’s going under a read more!!

and like, before i get into this more i’ve also seen people mad about people getting mad which is ??? but the most common things i’m seeing people saying are ‘stop being mad your ship didn’t happen!!!,’ ‘it doesn’t matter what happened shiro is still gay so there is still rep,’ ‘this is NOT queerbaiting guys! -insert screenshot of dictionary definition-,’ and 'they’re at WAR guys people die during a war’

okay. one lmao how tf did this get to a point where people think it is a ship issue because it’s not. idgaf about shipping or who ends up with who, i will likely be indifferent regardless! do not give a shit! not about shipping! nobody is talking about shipping??? also this could have LITERALLY been avoided mostly by the insertion of a few words. they could have gone with something as simple as 'if you do this, the wedding’s off. i won’t be here when you get back’ bam. insta confirmation! no vagueness there! and then like, not unecessarily kill a gay character off for no reason lol. what happened here is an issue with largely how this was marketed vs how they delivered. they marketed the fact they’d have lgbt rep pretty extensively. and adam! they talked about how we were going to meet adam this season. hyped him and him and shiro’s former relationship up in their promo materials and posters. like, this doesn’t happen on its own lmao. this was a conscious marketing decision that they went with beforehand knowing that they were not going to confirm anything on screen and knowing that they were going to kill adam off. and like, if you need an analogy to get this??? let’s say some fast food place does a whole campaign on how their burgers are made of REAL beef. maybe they don’t specifically say 100% beef, maybe they do, w/e, but they hype the fact that their burgers are real beef and not fake stuff like crazy and their consumers hop on that. then you get there and it’s like. 35% beef. people are mad! is it still made of beef? well, yeah. but they have misrepresented themselves a bit here and probably should have never said anything in the first place. bad business move. and as far as hyping up adam??? that’s like coming up with a new product line and deciding to axe it. BUT ADVERTISING IT ANYWAY. lol. and then people are upset with the company when they go to buy it. literally does not make sense. like, regardless of what you expected to go down with these characters or how you feel about them or literally anything, this was a conscious decision on their part and they should have not marketed it like this.

as far as shiro still being confirmed gay, yes that is true and great! but it still wasn’t confirmed on screen and not the issue at hand here! the issue is still how they marketed lgbt rep for this season without really delivering and killed off a gay character without reason. if your issue is the use of the word queerbaiting then lmao okay, whatever, maybe it’s not the most 100% accurate use of the word idc but that is a semantics issue and is deflecting the issue at hand here. like if you wanted to sum up the issue with all this in one fucking word that would be pretty accurate and the closest thing to describe what happened! like come on guys i work in advertising but this??? is not that hard of a concept to understand. they utilized lgbt rep in their marketing for this season. if you’re marketing something, that content has to be targeted towards a certain audience. if you are marketing lgbt rep, your target audience is likely going to be - shocker - the lgbt community lmao. AND FINALLY if you’re going with the 'people die in war’ thing like. okay. yup. that happens. from a marketing perspective though, it’s still dumb to advertise a character and then kill them off. like, if you’re using a cHARACTER in your ads you uh. generally expect people to feel something for that character lmao otherwise there is no point, and seeing as how many fanfics and fanart and shit popped up of adam before the season even aired??? def a lot of attachment there. so literally if they had done this with any other character it would have been stupid? but doing this to a gay character is a whole other mess of worms and is in very poor taste! fucking stop killing off gay characters for no good reason, it’s a gross trope with a long history behind it! also unless something is plot related and done well, there is literally no point for killing off your characters lmao. doesn’t matter if it’s war, it’s just shock value at that point. that scene was a couple of seconds at most, and literally nothing about the season would have changed without it. moot point. this is not a case of character death that has moved the plot significantly or significantly affected the story or the character.

like, as a queer person i’m mad and very disappointed. do i still like the show and its characters? yeah. did i enjoy the season? yeah. will i still watch it? yeah. but this whole thing was still a fucking mess lol. that being said, some positives:

2. lmao ok that gameshow episode gave me serious ergo proxy flashbacks to when they did the whole 'i’m suddenly and inexplicably on a magical gameshow hosted by a weird entity with my life on the line??’ deal

3. hunk development???? good and it’s about time, star of the season tbh. i really hope they continue with the diplomat angle for him!

4. pleasantly surprised by ezor and zethrid, now let’s hope they’re not fucking dead lmao

5. atlas was uh. weird? weird.

6. granted i stayed up all night to watch this so my perception by the point i got there was uhhhh but the finale was odd and kinda fell flat, especially in comparison to how much of an impact last season’s had. that being said, the season overall was pretty enjoyable?

7. sorry but during the whole time they were drifting through space in their lions i just kept thinking 'where is kaltenecker tho’ and then at first i thought acxa had went with them so then i was wondering where tf she was too and my sleep deprived brain’s beautiful answer to that question was 'wait what if acxa is with kaltenecker???’ yeah.

8. matt’s new design looks gr8 but it looked pretty familiar and again, sleep deprived brain was like 'oh my god he looks like discount space judeau’ so hope you know that

V E R O N I C A also i really super enjoyed the earth team!!! like idk how i feel about james yet because they went pretty hard on painting him as a jackass as a child lmao so i’m positive but also on the fence about him, but i adored the others and i hope we see more of all of them!! ALSO ROMELLE loved her to death too. and the cosmic wolf. yes.

10. okay so as soon as shiro got his new arm my first thought was 'i bet him and sendak are going to have a floaty arm showdown’ and i was very glad to be right

WHOOP WHOOP sorry this is late, but as you know, fenris and bethany love is My Thing, so i wanted to be properly prepared

Did your Hawke also hate Tevinter, like Fenris? Were they influenced by him?she didn’t hate Tevinter mostly because she never thought of it. her only knowledge of Tevinter really comes from some old knowledge maybe Malcolm mentioned when she was little, and then whatever Fenris tells her, which is obviously pretty bleak.

If his personal quest was received, did your Hawke allow him to kill his sister? Why or why not?yknow I let him kill Varania the first time, then every subsequent time after, it just…. didn’t feel right, so I always convince him to spare her now. she, like, totally and unequivocally understands why he wants to – I mean, his own family betrayed him to the man who enslaved and brutalized him for years – and she gets why Fenris feels threatened/vulnerable with Varania still out there, like maybe he believes she’d find a way to manipulate or trick him again. in the moment, Fenris is so angry and hurt, and Varania is so at a loss for where to go next after losing Danarius and desperate to make her brother pay for what she went through, that I don’t think they’re in the right place to be swayed with “don’t kill her, she’s your family!” (‘cause we all know by now that family can be shit, and tbh that always seemed almost a bit unwittingly cruel to say, since yeah… she was his family, and his family just betrayed him.) so Hawke tries to convince Fenris to let her go, bc she sees Varania as a victim too, but… also it’s his life that she threatened, so it’s his choice, but she’s relieved when he tells her to just get out.

How did your Hawke’s final decision between the mages or the templars affect their relationship with Fenris? Were they forced to kill him?well you know I always side mages haha, and Fenris always has enough approval by endgame that he joins Hawke, but the first time I played he didn’t, so I was terrified I’d have to kill him until I met up with him again and managed to convince him to join me. but anyway in my canon, yeah, I don’t think it came as a surprise to Fenris when she decided to support the mages, so he wasn’t like, vocally disappointed, and he understood why, but in his head he was kind of gathering up all these I-told-you-so’s: I told you not to trust the abomination, I told you supporting mages so openly would be trouble, I told you one day you’d get in over your head – but after the battle he doesn’t say any of it ‘cause he realizes she knows it already and that saying any of it would just rub salt in the wound. so there’s like a sort of mutual understanding on both ends that this all happened to them because of her role in the city, and it affected him because they are who they are together. and there’s definitely some guilt on her part for dragging him into it and indirectly having him flee Kirkwall with her, but after some thinking, I don’t think Fenris is the type to blame her for that.

How did your Hawke respond to the mutual resentment between Fenris and Anders? Did they intervene?act 1: there was definitely some shared shared looks with Varric at first, let’s-just-ignore-it looks, then when they kept snapping at each other, she started to hang out with them separately. also, she didn’t hang out with Fenris a lot in her first few years in Kirkwall just because she didn’t like that he called her sister a snake, and she didn’t want to expose Beth to any prejudice that made her feel MORE guilty for her magic. so her rls with Fenris is cordial, but not super close; she spends more time with Anders just out of association with the expedition and because he’s nice and they happen to see each other a bit more.act 2: after spending some time with Fenris privately I think Hawke further appreciates that his mistrust comes out of completely justified fear of power in the wrong hands, and being traumatized at the hands of mages absolutely affects how he’d interact with them. after losing her sister to the Circle, Fenris does kind of ease up out of sympathy, ‘cause while he supported the Circle, he didn’t want her to lose her family (being sensitive abt family in general is definitely a thing in their rls), and he did genuinely like Beth. Hawke still does find herself siding more with mages as things get heated up in Kirkwall, and Fenris kind of… tolerates it, and is civil in the party, but he and Anders mostly try to keep their distance.act 3: ofc when things start heating up, Fenris kinda fears that Hawke’s gonna go full-on mage rights activist like Anders, and while she does support them now more than ever (having been convinced over the past few years), it seems like she’s mostly just worried Anders isn’t in a good place right now, so he doesn’t start any fights with her. he definitely speaks his mind when he has something to say, but Fenris at this point knows Anders won’t back down; though he does see him as like, a man about to hit his breaking point, whereas Fenris trying to recover and find out who he is, so tbh he mostly just tries to ignore him. when he can’t, though, I think he and Anders can be civil enough to talk about their politics in the group, but it usually doesn’t convince either of them and someone gets irritable and it never goes anywhere, so Fenris realizes it’s not worth it. Hawke in these moments never really plays mediator, like, they are both are adults and their discussions never really get nasty. also I think by this point she’s too tired of hearing fights about it and knows too much about both of them too much to think they might ever see things the other’s way.

What motivated your Hawke to be either a friend or a rival to Fenris? Were they indifferent to him?I may’ve talked about this before but anyway act 1, Hawke responded to Fenris politely enough as you do to a mercenary you meet in Lowtown one night, took him on occasional quests and invited him to the HM and blah blah ‘cause he was funny and had a good poker face and fought well with Varric and Isabela, but again she was worried about a clash between him and Beth, and then later Merrill and Anders. so she mostly brought him as necessary for the first few months of act 1 and tried to limit his interaction w Beth. funnily enough when he did meet up with Beth again he was much politer and got on a lot better, and Beth seemed to like him too (Fenris by this point having realized that he’d offended Hawke’s sister on the first night, who Hawke had worked her entire life to protect, and wanted to make up for it). after Beth is taken, he’s genuinely sympathetic, and they’ve spent some time together one-on-one so Hawke knows his abrasiveness isn’t all that he is, and all that eventually kind of snowballs into their romance near the end of act 2.

Did Bethany become a Grey Warden or die of the Taint or was she taken to the Circle? How did your Hawke react to what became of her?Circle. I was all set to bring Beth to the Deep Roads with me before Leandra made her plea to let her stay behind, and I think Hawke was swayed by that. she wanted Beth at her side ‘cause they’d been partners in crime for years in the city by now, but Carver’s death was still fresh and she knew her mom was really protective of her youngest kid, so it made sense for only one to go. Beth was hurt by it, but she understood. when Hawke comes back to hear she’s been taken to the Gallows, she’s like……. numb. I think she was waiting for something else to go wrong; Bartrand’s betrayal, hiking through the Deep Roads for weeks on end for an exit, fighting ancient rock wraiths just to survive, hiking through the wilderness BACK to Kirkwall with all their loot, and then she loses Beth to the one place she can’t rescue her. (like, things were shit before living with Gamlen and losing Malcolm and Carver and fleeing the Blight and searching for coin everywhere, but then when she FINALLY gets money, she loses her sister? this is the beginning of Hawke’s realizing 🎶 My Liife is a Fuuuucking Niiightmaaaare 🎶)

How did Leandra and/or Carver’s death affect your Hawke’s relationship with Bethany?Carver and Hawke were close in the way that he looked up to her, as another non-mage in the family, and they sparred together and she followed him to the military, but he and Beth had that twin bond Hawke couldn’t replace, you know? I think Beth was more shaken up by it than she let on, but Hawke definitely noticed, and she kind of simultaneously shoved her mourning aside but also dealt with it, in a way, by helping Beth cope with hers.

Due to Bethany being a mage, was your Hawke influenced by her when making the choice between mages and templars?by this point she’d seen so much shit going on in Kirkwall that she was far convinced that standing up for the mages would be the right thing, even without Beth standing right there. Beth was absolutely a factor in helping her grow up with that kind of mage-glasses thinking tho. like she grew up with questions like ‘Is this a safe thing to do? will this expose us? how many chantries are in this area? what are the templars’ regular patrols?’ and then when she was in her teenager years Hawke realized, ‘well, I’m living with it by association, but Beth actually lives it. we could split up, and I could stop, but Beth would still have to live with it for the rest of her life.’ so going into Kirkwall she also sees Beth’s safety as her protection, and after she kind of ‘fails’ that, she starts to see all the other ways the system fails mages, and it snowballs.

How close were your Hawke and Bethany before they fled to Kirkwall? Did they grow closer or drift farther apart once they were settled in Kirkwall?Beth and Carver both looked up to her but in different ways and at different capacities, really just because she was the oldest. when she wasn’t taking care of the kids or helping Leandra with house/farmwork, Hawke spent a lot of time on her own or with Malcolm, so Beth knew of her sister as a protector for most of her life. when Hawke was a teenager I think they got a little closer, but then after Carver’s death, they relied on each other for emotional and moral support a lot after moving to Kirkwall. then they became kind of partners in crime working for Anita, and formed their own little squad with Varric; that was like the prime of their relationship, and it kind of stings Hawke that they were happiest together only when things were so miserable in every other aspect of their lives.

Did your Hawke stay in contact with Bethany after the mage-templar decision in Kirkwall?after fear for Beth’s safety, no, not for a while. I haven’t thought about post-Inquisition. for a long time I imagine Hawke needs to run from the Chantry, then run from the Seekers, then the Inquisition, then deal with what’s going on with the Wardens with the Inquisition, and then Weisshaupt, and who knows how long that takes. she’s still on the run from several people that want her dead, whereas Bethany was never the traveling sort if she could help it. I think Beth might settle back in Kirkwall with Aveline and Varric if the Templar situation improved post-Tresspasser, or go somewhere else in the Marches with Merrill helping other mages. they share letters through Aveline and Varric whenever they can risk it.

Masashi doesn’t really… get afraid. I mean he would have during his childhood but again, no specific event.

He’s definitely experiencing something in-game that could… potentially be classified as making him “afraid” but spoilers. And it’s not really related to the mutual-killing biz.

but I can definitely say his feelings for Holly have made him “afraid”, at least in some sort. he’s never actually cared for anyone and he knows that he won’t be afraid to hurt her even though he cares for her, because hurting someone he cares about? delightful. but yeah he’s also rational (I mean in some cases) and doesn’t want to do that to someone he cares about, he just... knows he would.

New: Honestly all the modified questions should be very predictable for you now. his biggest flaw is his lack of empathy and actually caring about anyone due to his symphorophilia. so he tends to just have his fun with people before doing something stupid. ...actually this still applies to the very rare case he actually does care about someone, like holly, because he’ll still do something stupid eventually.

Masashi would just make observations rather than compare himself to someone, although the times he ever would compare himself to others would be for both self-validation and self-criticism… for spoiler reasons.

He’s very quick to suspect someone else, but only because it doesn’t change his opinion of them. Like… he doesn’t care. As usual.

Same as around anyone else, really. Polite. Agreeable. Nice. hhhhh

It’s kinda situational depending on who’s confronting him. In most cases he’d just try to defuse the situation/appease the person. In the other cases he’d just instigate them further and generally be a smug asshole oops.

28. How quick or slow is your character to resort to physical violence in a confrontation?

Slow. Masashi’s a noodle, he won’t resort to physical violence unless, somehow, he’s absolutely certain he’d prevail. …I really can’t see that situation happening in a normal 1v1 type confrontation.

Being a musician à la piano (hi Ayato). It did not come true, obviously.

Uh, pretty much nothing.

Unless the criticism is coming from a select few people, he won’t give a shit about it and would just blow it off/ignore it.

He’d stop and reevaluate whatever the situation is, and either keep trying the same solution/method after minor adjustments or move on depending on what he feels is best.

the character i least understand

mmmm, the character i think i least understand is probably… kamiya, in a sense, simply because theres so much more to him that i felt even now i just didnt catch or feel too clear about perhaps, his intentions are clear but, i felt very unsettled in the diving deep ending with his talk with kitani (god it feels foggy rn to remember) but, there just felt like there was more to him… idk (and the whole idea behind onnushi-sama probably dfjkdfj i just feel like even now im always kinda, wonderin..)

interactions i enjoyed the most

i really REALLY enjoyed makoto and youji’s interactions tbh, despite how one sided it seemed, i just enjoyed makoto trying to get the rise out of youji with stories and gossip, and youji just being absolutely unmoved by them (poor makoto LOL), and of course drama cd’s– but i enjoyed all of their interactions, even… the less fun ones…. (also the interactions between kitani and zenya at home when zenya and kunihito arent at each others throats, zenya is so much more relaxed…). there are so many interactions i enjoyed, even the one where zenya and tetsuo were going head to head by the garbage place behind the school, simply because this is the first time we see zenya absolutely lose his head in anger, it was really good imo. (so many scenes….. im tired forgive me so i may be forgetting some ssfhdsfhghjdg)

the character who scares me the most

makoto scared me the most actually… LOL, considering i felt shivers from that scene when he appeared at youji’s front door, wet and dripping (the music really did it for me really…), i truly worried about what makoto as going to do, including in his bad ending. the fact he went all the way and did what he did, while i joke a lot, it is terrifying to imagine sometimes in a more canon way. makoto my child… why must you be like this… (also zenya to an extent, at first at least, when i didnt know much about him, not knowing much about him scared me the most)

the character who is mostly like me

makoto probably hjdkfjdhdf, i related to him a lot for sure… especially with the need for attention, and trying to put up an energetic and friendly front to hide any sadness or loneliness, feeling jealousy (tho not… to his extent…), just quirks in some ways i think? we both love food, and we both LOVE to exaggerate stuff and tell stupid stories to try and get reactions, basically i relate to makoto a lot in the, extrovert side of myself (tho on the other side of the coin, i can be like youji so, go figure). Oh and we’re also ugly criers thats for sure _(:’3_)TL

hottest looks character

kitani, kitani is too attractive for his own good (he dresses sharply too… i cant help it- tho i also find youji quite attractive in a different way, but kitani for sure)

one thing i dislike about my fave character

makoto can be a little… TOO hyper perhaps, it can be annoying, especially if i knew him in real life LOL, i’d be exhausted with him within 20 minutes perhaps because i cant keep up

one thing i like about my hated character

i dont /hate/ anyone per se, but, kunihito…. i like to make awful jokes at his expense? LOL he’s awful in a lot of ways, theres nothing there to like really except bad humor (but he does play an interesting role in the story, that i do like)

the scene where youji meets kamiya in the hospital after the incident with makoto, when kamiya explains to youji the meaning behind everything that’s happened, something about the way he said it, truly was something that stuck with me... along with the final choices where youji hears the voices of “the inner beings”. “you are a precious mother”

a death that left me indifferent

kunihito’s LOL, even kitani left kunihito’s dead body to go hold zenya, the thought makes me laugh

the character i least understand

probably arima really (i saw spoilers that i hadnt even reached rn, so i’ve been all sorts of level’s confused by him) but i seriously didnt understand his motives for doing what he did to kaneki, like i seriously dont, and i want to but man he’s such an enigma…. (at least, rn, when i read further it’ll probs shed some light tho LOL)

interactions i enjoyed the most

between suzuya and shinohara, i just… really loved what grew between them, shinohara truly did act like a father/parental figure that suzuya had never experienced once before in his life, being around his former ghoul master and a society that rejected him for acting differently due to trauma, shinohara truly did try to teach him the values that would make him more.. “human”, and by god i sobbed so hard when suzuya saw shinohara in a coma, just…. holy shit im tearing up as i type this….. (also i really wanted to see more karren and tsukiyama… the wound is still fresh //SOBS) - and ALSO the quinx are always so endearing when its light hearted and i adore the small family they are in a way at first, it was nice (LET THEM BE HAPPY ;___; )

dear god A LOT OF THEM….. jason ngl really freaked me, the hell out, he was absolutely cruel and merciless and that whole torture scene with kaneki was amazing but at the same time, it stuck with me in a way that it had me cringing just reading it (if anything ishida does an amazing job at getting the gruesomeness of scenes across…. )

the character who is mostly like me

OH BOY UH…. probably saiko for obvious reasons (cant get up for the life of me, gets distracted by frivolous stuff, mentally not there) but, i also relate to the fact that, she didnt have any choice in the matter of what she wanted to do, it was all dictated to her, and while she’s good at what she does, its not what she wanted , which i feel quite personally. so yes saiko _(:’3_)TL

any scene where kaneki falls deeper into mentaly instability always haunts me, the scene where he faunt arima and saw his younger self and reflected on his mother…. all i feel is deep sorrow thinking about it. also this line really struck a chord somehow“mother, mother, im so fucked up” (im in pain)also THAT scene with suzuya’s past was utterly… disturbing enough that i remember it so vividly, so many scenes, but i remember these off the top of my head at least!
