I'm trying to get a psychiatrist appointment scheduled so i can finally get accommodations i desperately need to graduate high school with a decent gpa (i want to go to college for my career choice) and i've known for like. years. that i've been adhd . (also autistic but i'm neglecting a diagnosis in that area for personal reasons) i've done the research and loads of self reflection and i've asked people i know who have adhd what they think and to me it feels like i can see in everything i do internally and externally that it is there. but i can't formulate into words on the spot a lot of things about this and its making me nervous the psychiatrist wont trust my observations if i can't thoroughly explain everything that i've spent the time thinking about over the last few years. there's a lot of overlap w my asd and my adhd too. i feel so overwhelmed about possibly having another bad psychiatrist experience because i seriously need to get this done as soon as possible so my senior year and college don't absolutely kill me. i just can't organize my thoughts :') currently school is horrible for me because my sensory issues make being there incredibly draining and my executive dysfunction makes getting anything done both at school and after school nearly impossible. its not that im not understanding the work or anything im just so so dogshit at completing assignments. i don't know what to do anymore, i don't understand how i survived the last several years in school without getting held back.
essentially i just need advice about being prepared speech wise for the psych appointment because i stg these accommodations could save my life atp and ive already had a psychiatrist fail me once, when i was 12 (not rlly wanting to elaborate due to already too many words but she tested me for asd with an iq test if that explains anything abt her)

The psych will ask questions and hopefully take a good history and fill out a screener. Do your best to be honest and explain the practical ways your life is being impacted negatively by your symptoms. Another piece of advice that's been shared by others here is that you should assume that questions are asking about your bad days, not your good days.

How are you feeling about the jerma soft-retirement? Personally, I am distraught (like…genuinely)
(Also you’re unironically like…the nicest chatter, and I like seeing your messages in chat and going “heehee”)
[context for those that don't know: jerma's said that as of 2024 he's going to slow down/shift focus away from streaming and having an online presence, something he's dubbed "soft retirement". he'll still be around for another year or two, just less and less.]
i think... well i was kind of already expecting it, he'd been talking consistently about retirement for a little while now so it wasn't a total shock, still kinda sucked to hear it so realised so soon though. jerma's streams have been a consistent positive force in my life for over two years now, and to know now that it'll come to an end relatively soon (1-2 years isn't exactly soon but yknow, in the grand scheme of things..) is pretty saddening. the days of jerma streams as we know them are numbered...
it's important to remember though, this is what he wants and he's said he's happy. all good things must come to an end, I'm just grateful he gave us some warning instead of just up and leaving (plus he's already been around a looong time). it also sounds like this new philosophy towards streaming (more for fun than as a Job) is a lot healthier as well, more in line with how he started on youtube. I'm interested to see what new youtube stuff he's said he wants to make is!
it's also got me thinking about my involvement in the community over the years and how grateful i am for all the cool people i've met through it!! once this all does end, i know i'll look back on it fondly.
sorry for the ramble, tldr is im sad abt it but its fine

yo, having 6k in chapter 3 is amazing. good for you!
my first playthrough i got the white arabian and i named her Lemoyne Tree as a tribute to the state of Lemoyne and my favorite post malone song Lemon Tree. But she always got super dirty so i then went to the lake next to Strawberry and tamed the red chestnut arabian. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that one, she's gorgeous and arthur always gets that one when i play it. my beautiful baby girl Diablo <3
also yes. heckin FUCK MICAH BELL. even from the beginning he's been a slime ball. hate that man <3
i won't go too far, but just keep yourself high honor towards the end of the game. you need that to be your first ending. :')
Charles deserves the absolute world. just listening to him speak and hanging out with him at camp, and the missions you continue on to do with him throughout the game are so much fun. charles is someone i wish i could have in my real life because he seems like he would be the best person to speak to and hang out with. he is so lovely and down to earth. even arthur says it a couple times throughout the game. charles gets a good ending i promise.
my top blorbos are Arthur, Dutch, Charles, Hosea, and Josiah Trelawny my absolute beloved <33333 just wait until you go on the mission with Charles to find trelawny. one of my favorite missions ever ever ever ever!!
a lot of people dislike dutch, but i love him so much. he is my actual father. i love him.

Firstly just want to say I love your posts and opinions <3 Sorry this is a bit long, I only lurk around so I wanted to share my thoughts with someone (if that’s alright!)
As a Lando fan through all his teammates, I really love his dynamic with Oscar the most. I love that Lando always brings up how good Oscar is (even though everyone in the world loves to spread the narrative that Lando is washed because a rookie beat him*), and I love that Oscar is always supportive of Lando’s achievements too. They both put the team first before all else, and what happens in the race will stay in the race (no hard feelings after). Despite what the media pushes them to say or the narratives in articles, they both have a quiet understanding of each other and a lot of respect. What they have now is really sweet and I’m really hoping none of this would change for the years to come, even if they have a race winning car.
Of course as a Lando fan first, I want him to win all the races, and I’m sure Oscar fans want Oscar to win all the races, but I hope that everyone can also learn to let what happens in a race stay in the race, just like them. For me anyone who shades/hates on either of them in any way just gets an instant block, I don’t want to hear it <3
*I hate how people always turn to shitting on Lando instead of saying Oscar is also good and equally competent?? I know Lando is supposed to be more experienced but he’s also young and he’s apparently never allowed to make mistakes. And I think not giving Oscar the credit is also disrespectful to him.
I also do hope this year they are even more comfortable with each other and will hang out more outside of races (even if they don’t share it). More than the media stuff, I am always so much more happy when they do something on their own, like how we found out Oscar was also in one of the planes from the recreating Instagram photos video, or that photo of them playing cards, that photo of them eating together in the paddock, or “what happened in Vegas stays in Vegas” that still haunts my mind….. (hate Vegas GP though, burn it).
tldr; Oscar is good for Lando and Lando has always been good in Oscar’s eyes, and can next season come faster

god I am the same anon - I don't personally have favorites bc his dynamic with Carlos and Daniel was so much abt him being the baby duckling (and that on track Lando struggled privately w insecurity so much his rookie season whereas his confidence was building separate from what Daniel was experiencing). but what I love about the Oscar era is the way Lando just like, blossomed into McLaren being his home and his team when Oscar made such strong gestures to acknowledge Lando that way.
like so many ppl questioned Lando's ability to be in the senior/experienced/leadership role and wondered if he'd always prefer to be a little brother for a couple more years yet (and I think Lando wondered that too).
god yea I am so happy to leave ppl who try to pit teammates against each other in their own filth. like, enjoy being full of impotent rage ig?? bc apart from a VERY few instances these teammates are always able to be professional - and if they were already friends, remain friends. not only has Andrea instilled this from the start with Lando and Oscar, neither of them literally ever has had a history of friction w teammates or w each other. we've been through Monza before their relationship had even gotten settled so we're fine lol
and anon so far I'm genuinely amazed at how much content we're getting of them, of their own volition and McLaren's sm. the McLaren media fell off so hard right when the double podiums happened so I was worried that was how it was going to stay for 2024. hopefully stays this way!
