DR RATIO ANALYSIS PT 3 BUT IT'S JUST GAY

Now, you might be saying - "Aurae, you've done part one, and part two, so why do we need a part three?" The answer is because of two things - one. I made a deal with the Tumblr Peoples that if one of my posts hit more than 50 likes I would do this analysis. Two. Mihoyo is making this shit canon. I CAN'T MAKE THIS UP. So, let's delve into my usual disclaimer, as we might have some new people joining us for the first time with my insanity.

I have been researching psychology personally for about six years, so although I am not a professional (crawling my way there through the education system. I will be one, one day.) I do have some experience with analyzing homosexuals. Psychology hours, my children. They don't call me "chronically cooking" for nothing. Maybe I should change my url to that...

NOW THAT MY LONG AHH DISCLAIMER IS OVER, LET'S GET INTO THIS! It's time to deconstruct these homosexuals like a modern airplane, because they might as well be taking off with how canon they are.

"It can't be canon," they say, but then Mihoyo DOES PAID SPONSORSHIPS WITH THESE FUCKERS BEING GAY. We've all seen the paid partnership edit. We've all seen the video where Aventurine has the audio of "nice rack" as he talks to Dr. Ratio. PAID SPONSORSHIPS. Now, if that piece of evidence isn't enough for you - let's dive into their actual relationship, which is just a HOMOSEXUAL MESS. I will be focusing more on how Dr. Ratio sees this guy as this is a Dr. Ratio analysis™, but hey, the crumbs.. we eat 'em all. Amen.

Let's start off (I say as I write this part three days later) about how people are like, 'Aven is Ratio's favourite idiot' WRONG. Ratio does NOT consider Aventurine to be an idiot and knows that he is smart and capable in his own right. While Ratio is book smart, Aven is extremely street smart and holds his own very well. Ratio does not consider Aventurine to be an idiot as he takes off his plaster head around him and actually indulges in his whims around him. This is a blatant showcase of fondness because although he is emotionally constipated and can't be affectionate through words without sounding semi-backhanded because he's never had true affection in his life, he showcases his love through actions rather than words. He's just bad at showing love, okay? But he does love Aven. Or like him, to some extent, if you don't want to see them as romantic, which is fine. However, no matter what you label their bond as, it's obvious that they care for one another.

Also, the fucking ZEST FEST that was 'keeping up with Star Rail'. He says, "wait a minute - MUTUAL?" which indicates that he has respect for Aventurine in the first place. He LITERALLY TOLD US that he respects Aventurine and he was commenting on Aventurine's playstyle & everything.. also, at the end, he was here because 'I appreciate this show's dedication to knowledge' - his TONE. Kudos to the VA because that was not convincing at all. Bro was NOT here for the knowledge, bro was here to be GAY!!! Also his little own bathtub couch. We all know Aven bought it for him. Trust, I am John Hoyoverse.

"The Charming Audacity" HUH? BRO? Okay this is hilarious to me because this is the first time that we ever really see them interact with one another, and we get absolutely bitchslapped in the fact that Dr. Ratio calls this guy's audacity 'charming'. That's GAY. That's HOMOSEXUAL.

Also, comparing him to a peacock.. a very beautiful bird.... Must I say more?

Now, the part that I really want to focus on is the part where he gives the Doctor's Note to Aventurine. This shit is important. And I agree with the people who are like - Acheron helped him. Because she did. She was a big part of it and she helped Aventurine get back on his feet in the void. Dr. Ratio is not his only reason to live, but the note, showing that someone will stay by his side? Showing that someone truly cares for him? Someone who's waiting for him when he get back? This bond that he has with Dr. Ratio isn't fake. He already has a starting point to get back to - an anchor to return to. Dr. Ratio is his anchor. Whenever he goes off to do crazy shit, Veritas Ratio will be there when he returns. Because Ratio is loyal. Ratio cares. He cared enough to almost jeopardize their plan to make sure that Aventurine was going to be okay. He cares so damn much about Aventurine that he decided that this man's emotional state after the fake betrayal was more important than all of fucking Penacony.

If you want an example of "I would let the world burn for you," it's Ratio. He's a romantic not in the traditional sense, but he cares and loves Aventurine so damn much it makes my heart hurt. "Do stay alive," he says, knowing that Aventurine struggles with living. Those three words mean the whole fucking world to someone who struggles with suicidal ideation and suicidal thoughts. Someone wants you to live. Someone wants you to stay. Someone wants you by their side.

Dr. Ratio cares. Let me say that again - he cares. He banters with Aventurine, tries to create an environment where Aventurine can feel a little bit more comfortable with the two of them, even in a place as dangerous as Penacony. He will put his own life on the line for Aventurine.

He cares. He cares so damn much. I hate gay people. They make me VIOLENTLY homophobic.

I was literally thinking about all the fics where Stiles is like "and then Derek pushed me around 🥺" like... Derek did the steering wheel thing because Stiles made him STRIP FOR A SIXTEEN YEAR OLD BOY.

I started to read an article that opened up by criticizing the "physically abusive sterek ship" and backed out immediately, like you people need to remember that the show exists and that is not based in reality.

Pack mom Stiles.... gah. Stiles would never help Isaac with his homework. Derek would!! But Stiles? Hell no.

Stiles is literally a fucking creep. He walks around telling everyone that he loves Lydia. He has no boundaries. I love him that way. He's a snarky little asshole who would definitely just show up in Derek's apartment one day and Derek would be like "how did you get in here?" And then Stiles reveals that he pretended to be a doordash driver with a delivery and then picked the lock on Derek's front door.

fun fact my url before this one was creeperderek. i am fond of that url. he of loitering at tree lines and creepily disappearing into shadows in the boy's locker room for no fucking reason.

stiles does have a lack of boundaries and really intense anxiety about the people he cares about.

he listens to the police scanner regularly and monitors his father's diet due to his intense, almost uncontrollable anxiety about his father. he's terrified his dad will die and has an intense fear it will because of him.

all of that of course stems from his mother's death when he was so, so young and how claudia in her cognitive decline blamed stiles and accused him of trying to kill her.

this anxiety also extends to scott and melissa to various degrees due to their significance to the stability of his life for so long and why he's irrationally scared to tell his father the truth despite knowing if the sheriff understood what was really happening it would help more than hinder.

than there's other things like how he has a copy to the key to the mccall house that melissa isn't aware of and it's made pretty clear that stiles took the imitative. scott didn't give it to him.

scott doesn't seem all that bothered by this but scott is one of the few people who knows and mostly understand stiles. they live in each other's pockets. scott would be oddly touched but also be like bro what in the fuck? because really, stiles what the fuck?

people find that fucking weird and creepy.

it truly wouldn't surprise me at all if stiles had a copy of the loft key and derek knew he did and said nothing about it because these two are weird little freaks that probably have frequently creeped on each other.

we do get indications they speak outside of what we're shown. two little maladjusted bastards sharing one brain cell to creep on each other.

if stiles showed up in derek's loft derek probably wouldn't even be surprised. in fact he'd tell stiles he took longer than expected, peter did it better and he sucked.

it's so funny that fandom developed the idea that derek sneaks into stiles's bedroom all the time via the window and we literally never see this. it never canonically happens. though it's not said how derek got inside in wolf's bane so maybe a window but frankly i find it more plausible derek just, you know, broke in the house via a door.

sentiment within fandom swayed a lot on these two and i've seen the common argument that sterek fans don't like stydia as a paring because it's not gay, or something to which i say lol no. i, personally, don't ship them romantically because for like 2 seasons stiles didn't see her as person and she mostly ignored his entire existence.

he fixated on lydia in the 3rd grade which would've been around the time claudia declined and than passed away. he held onto that crush tightly, put lydia on a pedestal making her more into an ideal than a person.

there's moments where we see them genuinely connect but there's so many scenes between the two of them until like season 3 that are cringe and uncomfortable. my main issue is that lydia never really says much about it either.

it's like until she becomes a real girl to stiles her position doesn't matter even when we see her be uncomfortable or weirded out around stiles.

we actually do see stiles and derek develop boundaries with each other. stiles uses derek to literally queerbait danny in wolf's bane. both derek and danny seem to realize this as it occurs and derek pointedly, purposefully retaliates with violence which isn't great but it makes it clear that derek is not okay with what stiles did and a line had been crossed. s2 has derek also indicate to stiles it's not okay to touch without permission.

remember the finger tippy taps stiles's gives derek when boyd dies? that's stiles having learned derek's physical boundaries over 3 seasons so that he is able to offer him comfort in a awful, terrible moment.

in conclusion derek and stiles aren't abusive and it's odd people latched onto that idea. they're abrasive assholes to each other and lack boundaries in the beginning because their maladjusted people for various reasons while also just being two little freaks about each other.

☯ Is there a muse you've always wanted to play?

Currently, not really. But years ago when I was more active in the snk fandom I did briefly consider roleplaying Kenny, I made a blog for him and everything-- then nothing came of it and I forgot both the url and the email I used lol. I actually don't think I ever even mentioned that on this blog before until now.

I also at one point made blogs for Reno from FFVII and GLaDOS from Portal but never used them, so I suppose they count too.

♥ What's your favorite ship with your muse?

Despite how long I've had this blog, I never got to fully explore any ships. There were a couple I started developing with other muns but one or both of us always went inactive before it got very far. But! My favorite ship with Levi is Eruri, followed by Levihan. I also like Rivetra. It all depends on how the characters are portrayed.

☼ What's an FC that you're dying to use? Why?

None, actually! I've never cared about FCs. None of my anime/video game muses were ever given live action FCs, though I half-heartedly searched for a bit before giving up lol. FCs just aren't a priority to me and I'm never going to RP a character or create a character just to use a certain face.

☂ How does your muse spend a rainy day? How do you spend a rainy day?

Levi's likely to spend a rainy day catching up on whatever work he can indoors, such as cleaning, paperwork, or something else. When it comes to leisure time, he might make himself a cup of tea, pick up a book, and enjoy the quiet.

I spend most of my time indoors anyway so a rainy day wouldn't change much. I love the sound of rain though, so I'd probably try to find a cozy spot to relax and listen to it while I try to work on things on my laptop, or maybe just watch a show.

♪♩♫ Does music inspire your muse? What's one song on your playlist that reminds you of your muse?

Music definitely inspires my muse and inspires me in general. Sometimes I need things quiet so I can concentrate on writing, but other times having music on really helps. It's been a long time since I've thought about what songs remind me of this muse, so I dug out my very, very old Levi playlist and am going to go with Bring Me Back to Life from Extreme Music.

✆ Other than RPing, what's a hobby of yours?

Photography! Granted I rarely do it these days. I actually have a degree in it but very quickly realized it wasn't going to work out as a career lol. My favorite types of photography are abstract and nature/animals (I always bring my camera to the zoo.)

It's impossible to pick just one so I'm gonna say my two favorite muses to play so far have been Levi here and Negan from The Walking Dead. They're my two favorite characters of all time, they're both such complex people that getting to explore all their facets through RP is really enjoyable. Additionally, I have a lot of fond memories from writing in the snk fandom, I met my best friend in the twd fandom, and both muses helped me through significant periods of my life.

When?) - Car Seat Headrest. my comfort college angst band. they'll always have a spot on my top artists. this one in particular has some good existential angst (personally, every day I am torn between trying to be a better man and trying to accept that I am!)

Indulge Me - Moses Sumney. Beautiful falsetto, Aromanticism as a whole is a beautiful album. and so is græ. ok maybe this song is just a placeholder to represent his catalogue as a whole which I love. I respect songs that are simultaneously enriching to listen to as your sole activity, and that you can also put on in the background for good vibes. not all of these songs can do both but Indulge Me definitely can!

Time Escaping - Big Thief. this album alone made Big Thief my top artist of 2022 because it is warm and yummy. some of the songs are sad (not this one). but all of them have one thing in common which is lyrics that roll off your tongue in such a fun way. my fave phrase in this song is "swinging still incessant pendulum / lavender nettle calendula". I listened to this album when it released and shortly after visited a good friend in Boston, only to find she also was listening to this album on repeat. it's a nice memory.

Song for Sharon - Joni Mitchell. I have to include Joni on here of course. the blueprint for some of our favorite moody singer songwriters today. as with every other song on Hejira, this one deals with love and music and travel, framed by a conversation with an old childhood friend acting as her foil. sharon has a family and a farm and a generally quiet, humble life - but she "still has" her music, singing for the sake of singing itself. while Joni has her eye on the land and the sky (big travel girlie) - she has this immensely successful music career but she still doesn't feel grounded. the stories Joni tells always captivate me and this one is no different.

Comes in Waves - Psychologist. idek how I found this one (probably "found" via Spotify algorithm, as this is by far their most streamed song). it's just kind of a beautiful little piece with some Gorgeous bass (big fan of deep sounds. I always listen to this one with my good over ear headphones. earbuds don't do it justice). rises and falls and vague haunting lyrics. vibes!

Kathy's Song - Paul Simon. representing my fondness for 60s folk, cute little love songs, and my Simon & Garfunkel phase in high school. even tho I love the duet version for the harmony I chose his solo stripped down version cause it's got that authenticity. baby songwriter pouring out songs of first love it's just sweet to me.

Eye in the Sky - Alan Parsons Project. being true to myself here. really a genuine fan of dad rock (or moreso, dad easy listening).    Daken with Aurora is adorable. I waited a bit to see more of them & I have to say I pretty much love it. Kinda liking the vibe that a poly relationship is going to maybe happen with Somnus, so we’ll see. I have a lot of ships, they’re just not around right now. Y’know how it is, sometimes ya need a breather from things. Donno if they’ll go back to their blogs, so I’m not listing them. Don’t wanna make them feel pressure into coming back. 

    I have an Unrequited ship with @dementedspeedster for Rosie & Rosie’s love for him seems to be shifting over to just a strong friendship. But she’s probably not gunna stop pranking his ass if it does.

     I have a ship for Daken with Deb/Sungirl that’s the one I change the URL to Circus Rose. The muns shifting blogs rn so I can’t tag her. I adore them honestly.

     There is something starting for Rosie with @symbioteburnout​ where we’re seeing where things go.

      I have a few muses I’m working on adding. Nocturne I think is adorable with Blink but I don’t care if anything comes from it in the comics. Nocturne’s been stuck in a reality for ages so I don’t have any that scream at me to get. That & there aren’t many Exiles about. Cloud well canonly I have a love for him & Aerith or Aeris but I have a fondness for a lot of things in that fandom. Even some that are in Kingdom Hearts.  I am hoping something Poly pops up I’m not listing but I usually do. I’m more of a chemistry kinda guy for my muses so we’ll where the rabbit hole leads. 

     Over the years I found Rosie’s super hard to keep ships? So most rps with her, if not all, are just angling for friendship. She’ll probably be oblivious just for the fact she’s really bad at Relationships. I did have a ship that lasted a long time with a Jason for her, which was platonic. I did enjoy her & Eddie in New Earth. Tho that was tragic.

     That’s not counting the ships i have on discord, but that’s all on discord so I’m not gunna list them all. Tho if you’re reading this & want me to list the ship on here, gimme a nudge & I will.
