Just remembered another church story. One time my dad bought these really nice shoes for me to wear to church, but I HATED them because they were uncomfortable and then one day I had enough and buried them in a large pile of dirt in the church’s garden (they were renovating it) and when my dad asked me where my shoes were I said god didn’t want me to suffer anymore

My tolerance for secondhand embaassment is so low that my earliest clear movie theater memory is during the scene in Mulan where she's fumbling through introducing herself to the army as Ping, I left to go to the bathroom because I could not handle it.

I don't remember exactly what I dreamt about but I did wake up very upset about shows that treat the secret identity part of being a superhero as a burden for their narrative that they have to speedrun getting rid of

did i just pay ridiculous prices for basically a scoop of ice cream and a sip of root beer in one cup ?? yeah. do i regret it ?? not one bit

I was talking to my mom earlier about how I almost got expelled, and I am very tempted to do an inspired bit in Back in the Nightmare where a character may or may not get expelled for fighting.... we'll see though.

Idk if anyone had this growing up but when I was a kid whenever I would learn a new word I used it in every converstion, even if it was out of context.

Anyways, once in elementary school we had a field day and there was a lot of slip-n-slides and shit. My school was very cheap so when we ordered food it was fast food. So i ate like four things of fries and the holder would always get really wet from all the water. So it wouldn't stay together. As the genius problem solver I am, I kept unfolding the holders and making it into a weird napkin plate. Because it was all wet it would stick to the actual fries.... I couldn't find any trash cans so I would just eat the fry holder afterwards. Which was like a mix of cardboard and paper. :)

Also increasingly aware that a LOT of people "manage" getting through the 40+ hour work week by sleeping less than is healthy and relying on stimulants like coffee and energy drinks to keep them going.

For people who are unwilling or unable to do this...work really does just dominate your life. Like we really should not have to rely on unhealthy practices just to have a social life or keep on top of housework or whatever.

I know I post about this a lot but I'm so TIRED all the time and it's just so depressing that this is how we're expected to spend the one life we have.
