i have to be honest. i would simply not have agreed to a loan if the condition for not repaying by the specified date were a pound of my flesh. i must tell the truth in that i would have avoided all of that entirely.

#men are stupid #I HAVE NEVER WANTED TO SEE SOMEONE HATECRIMED EXCEPT FOR ANTONIO #A POUND OF HIS FLESH RIGHTFULLY BELONGS TO SHYLOCK!!!!!!!#text post #the merchant of venice #shakespeare #jacob fortune-lloyd is the name of the actor who played bassanio that i thought was cute #he is also jewish #and he's playing brian epstein in an upcoming biopic!!!! that's really cool #well if it's any good that's really cool.#lotta bad biopics seem to have come out lately....... blonde who shall not be named oh shit #the elvis biopic was half-good but it had some serious problems. namely that it was about elvis.#i saw it w my dad though it was a nice night at the theater #it did a good job at explaining how he came to be a musical icon but did a terrible fucking job at handling his personal life #as any kiss-ass sorta movie made for boomer music fans would. if they didn't wanna think about how their legend was #Actually Not A Wholly Uncomplicatedly Good Person #so i can't say i was really shocked or offended #brian epstein is a little bit different though. because he's not the SUPERSTAR he was the brains behind the superstars.#and kind of a legend in his own right but definitely not a typical figure in pop culture iconography.#idk. if the actor's cute i'll watch it. that's my take #hope it's good though
