Hvitur
My wof designs are become more and more 'dragon' (?) noticeably.
Icewing scales need to be well kept in order to keep their shine and color. If they aren't maintained they become noticeably duller and a whole lot darker. That being said paler Icewings are preferred over darker Icewings. As being paler/whiter is a sign of a dragon who is well kept.
Hvitur is already normally darker in color, just his time in the Talons of Peace led to less time to take care of himself, thus he's a bit darker than he naturally is.

Still pissed over asha and hvitur dying because the dragonets deserved atleast one person that didn't neglect them or abuse them
I feel like asha would be the best mother figure but I also think hvitur would atleast try to stop kestrel from abusing them
I love them both so much despite Asha not even having any cannon lines from what I remember and hvitur only having a few lines in the prologue

Since I saw a couple people saying “Hvitur would have been an abuser” I just wanna say I STRONGLY disagree
Hvitur seemed to be a lot more compassionate than most icewings we have seen in the series which tells me this would have carried on into the lives of the DoD too. He just seemed.. different.
He also appeared to be very protective of the skywing egg, not just because of the prophecy but because he genuinely felt horrified by Burn not only destroying the egg but also the fact burn wanted to prevent Peace from even being considered. It seems Hvitur actively wanted peace. He genuinely believed the DoD would help stop the war and stop more dragons from dying. Idk just to me, he sticks out as an actually caring character

Hvitur would have been a lot like Kestrel.
Icewing society sucks when it comes to how they treat each other. Most likely Hvitur would have been as like most icewings until he found someone that could break. (Like Winter with Moon.)
So the DOD would have had a other abuser to deal with. But Sunny would still be upset if he died even if he broke one of their legs.

speaking of hvitur... they're literally one of the most mysterious characters and i feel they deserved a winglet more so than the other winglet protags.
i hope we do get a winglet on hvitur, being the first character we read about the first character who dies. who is this guy? why did he join the talons? what made him different than any other IceWing? i just hope if he ever gets a winglet it isn't wasted hell i'm game to write my own headcanon short-story on hvitur.
