Snack a Pickle Day
Snack a Pickle Day is a day for snacking on pickles. Pickles, which usually mean pickled cucumbers when spoke of in the United States, are preserved in a brine or vinegar solution, and flavored with herbs and seasonings. The word “pickle” is derived from the Dutch word pekel, which means brine. The pickling process was invented around 1440, and many people were making pickles in their homes by the 1600’s. This was helped with the invention of the mason jar in 1858. Pickles are a low calorie food and high in vitamin K, but they may also be high in sodium. Each year Americans eat about 9 pounds of pickles.
How to Observe Snack a Pickle Day
The day should be celebrated by snacking on a pickle! Pickles can be eaten on their own or with a meal. They can be put on a hamburger,or chopped into a relish and put on a hot dog. Sometimes they are served on a stick, and sometimes they are even deep fried. There are many types of pickles to try:
Bread and butter—part of sweet family of pickles; has onions and bell peppers; sometimes have a waffle-esque shape; solution of vinegar, sugar, and spices; name comes from Omar and Cora Fanning, Illinois cucumber farmers who started selling the pickles in the early 1920’s and filed for the name in 1923; name derived from how they traded their pickles for things like bread and butter during rough years.
Cinnamon—bright red and flavored with cinnamon; sometimes a Christmas treat.
Dill—made with dill herbs or dill oil; have been served in New York City since at least 1899.
Gherkins—smaller and usually sweeter; made with Burr or West Indian cucumbers; sometimes “gherkin” is a generic term used for pickles in the U.K., Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.
Kool-aid—soaked in kool-aid and pickle brine.
Kosher dill—dill pickle with lots of garlic in the salt brine.
Polish—somewhere between kosher dill and sour.
Sour—fermented longer in brine, which makes them sourer.
Sour mixed—sour pickles cut and mixed with other veggie such as onions, cauliflower, carrots, and peppers.
Sour relish—made with finely chopped sour pickles with other vegetables; also called “piccalili.”
Sweet—usually made with vinegar, spices, and sugar; includes sliced sweet pickles, or “cross cuts”, which are cut crosswise into chips.
Sweet mixed—sweet pickles mixed with other vegetables.

I could most certainly give some of my headcanons!! Some will be relationship stuff, others will be individual stuff because I can. Going to mention NSFW things.
1. Chris runs hot, Leon runs cold. You can't tell me Chris wouldn't be a furnace that Leon cuddles with hehe.
2. I firmly believe they would get together in the canon timeline after vendetta and before death island
3. Leon's a bottom most of the time, but occasionally Chris bottoms.
4. On that note, Leon has a small penis (not even a headcanon because it really is canon)
5. I think that Leon has autism and that Chris has ADHD. Haha just like meeeeee
6. They both like alternative rock. I don't make the rules. Actually I do but that's besides the point.
7. They first met way before canon implies they did. Probably met in person sometime between 2005-7. Before infinite darkness.
8. They both get nightmares and they each cuddle the other until they calm down. Before they got together, Leon would use alcohol to go back to sleep, but with Chris he's able to avoid drinking (at least when they are both home). He slowly gets better in that front the longer they are together.
9. Leon really likes breakfast foods. Can and will eat it for every meal possible. Chris really likes Tex-mex (in addition to American staples like hotdogs, brats, burgers, and steaks). I like tacos. What can I say.
10. They both fall for each other pretty early on, practically after their first meeting, but are convinced that the other is straight so they don't do anything about their feelings for YEARS; this leads to their feelings turning into love before they even know it and once they confess, it's like two puzzle pieces finally clicking together

Wellness Wednesday:
Cleaning Out My Closet Fridge
Part of my wellness journey is working on my financial wellness - What are my spending habits? What can I do differently? What can I cut out?
Couple weeks ago I challenged myself to use up as much as groceries/pantry supplies before buying more groceries - maybe meal prep here and there.
Well, I've been doing good on clearing out the freezer - working on the fridge and pantry now.
I noticed I had an abundance of deli meat and breads laying around - so - I was very conscious about eating up those foods first before they went bad.
To be honest I was little more conscious this week because not too long ago I had entire loaf of bread get moldy and I just despise when that happens.
So - I at a ton of sammies this week. Really spiced it up by changing my breads, meats, and cheeses - never got boring.
Other added benefit - I saw significant drop on my weekly grocery bill. A practice I want to entertain more in the future.
Another step to help out my pocket book is I made the decision not to buy any more expensive nuts - aka - my Wonderful's Pistachios. I am going to see if I can find a more cost effective snack alternative... Plus, I still have plenty to finish off in my cabinets.
Beyond my wallet and weekly diet - I broke the 2 week plateau streak and hit some weight loss (slightly over 4 pounds). Felt good considering I didn't do anything besides partake in some extra deli meats.
Sleep-wise - man-oh-man - I need to sleep. I hate how this is a constant battle.
Socially - saw some fam - good times/stories/jokes - and - tomorrow I plan on seeing some good friends at the movies... and hope to enjoy said movies.

I grew up with Susie, the accountant woman where Bonnie works. We went to the same high school together in this small West Texas town where taking a pee on a back dirt street was de rigeur, almost a requisite to live here.
In fact on Saturday nights such drainings are most commonplace, usually in the vicinity of Digger O'Toole's honkey tonk bar, and other disreputable dives.
Maybe thats how my taste for it developed -- it's a natural thing out here.
Anyway Susie is an attractive well-endowed lady of mid-thirties as am I. She was never the bold one in school, big glasses librarian studious type, and married the local accountant here shortly after high school. She also become a bean counter and works part time at a couple of small businesses in the area.
I became a technical writer of boring and mundane equipment service manuals.
I never paid a lot of attention to her in high school, but she is damned attractive and now that Bonnie has formed some sort of pee pact with her, even more so.
My wife, Bonita (whom I call Bonnie) is a well built Latina Tex Mex mujer and proud of it. Her hot Hispanic blood causes her to be a total vixen in the bedroom and I'm a happy man for it. We've been playing pee games since the second date and happily doing just about every sex act in the book for 10 years now.
Bonnie came home yesterday and said Susie had more coupons for the burger shack joint and hoped she could repeat the pissing scene in the bathroom there again. This time I asked her to see if she could record it on an MP3 player that I have with it's sensitive microphone.

I am plotting, planning, prepping for a Family Road Trip, a Bro Trip - In General PTO/Vacation, a Short Term Meal/Diet Challenge, Next Year's Challenge (52 in 24), Possible Birthday Party for Myself, and What my First Real Cheat Meal is going to look like January 1st, 2024...
That's what's rolling through my head - helps me pass the time.
Beyond that - I don't feel like much is going on - Feel like I am in a limbo. I definitely feel better than I did last week - teetering back to neutral - hopefully moving towards the "positive".
Found a new respect/passion for reading comics... I've enjoyed them in the past but found some nice trades recently that have increased the flame.
Movie-wise - I am fizzling out. Nothing looking good - sitting good lately. Hopefully Barbie can rekindle my love.
In other news I've been taking naps during my work lunch. They have been greatly needed and cherished but haven't cured my sleep pains.
Had another plateau in weightloss - no sweat - been feeling good about my body lately.

Schedule: From Monday to Saturday from 3:30 pm to 11:00 pm
Type Restaurant: Family
Food: Hamburgers, pizzas, hot dogs, snaks and drinks.
Food that represents them: Thanos Burger.
Quality/ price: good quality and bit pricey.
Recomendation: It is a good restaurant to spend whith the family, it bas very good food and drinks, it is an excellent place to go to listen to live rock, to play for a wile and relax, it is a bit expensive but it is worth the experience.
