Ceratosaurus isn’t actually horned. The lumps on its heads are in fact crests, and were most likely used as a form of display.

A beautiful contemporary en tremblant diamond and platinum floral Diadem by E. Wolfe & Co., the tiara shaped as a wide openwork band with tapering ends and of asymmetrical design, formed of delicate floral and foliate sprays, set to the centre with a large fully open five petalled wild rose set en tremblant with two further matching rose motifs, one to each side, also en tremblant, all finely hand crafted in platinum and fully pavé set with round brilliant cut diamonds and with pear shaped diamonds weighing a combined total of 22.50cts, to a velvet covered band.

Also, quick shoutout to @huxcrying, bc we saw a beautifully made astrolabe (which we unfortunately did not take a picture of) from ancient Ottoman, I believe, and spent a little while squealing over their cinéma vérité fic.

The frontispiece of graduated fringe design, formed as seven diamond-set knife edge bars each terminating in an oval-cut sapphire surrounded by old round brilliant-cut diamonds and spaced by a scrolling diamond-set link each with a knife edge bar drop terminating in a circular-cut sapphire, to a belcher-link neckchain, mounted in silver and gold, with a tiara frame, length 42cm including chain.

Diamond, Onyx & Pearl Platinum Tiara

"Dazzling in person, this bandeau style tiara is made to be worn on the back of the head yet is of such a scale that it can be worn more on the forehead. Superior platinum work with superb mille grain detail provides the perfect setting for the wondrous combination of diamonds, natural pearls and onyx. Set in a Greek key pattern, four hundred and eighty (480) old European and single cut diamonds with a total estimated weight of 7.8 carats (color range H-K; VS1-SI1 clarity) embellish and create impeccable frames for seven (7) luscious natural pearls (untested but assumed natural due to age and examination) ranging in size from 3.35 mm to more than 8 mm in diameter. Rectangular cut onyx, ninety-five (95) gems in all provides contrasting visual interest against the whiteness of the diamonds and the pearls. To secure the tiara to the head, a length of ribbon or ribbon over elastic is engaged through the loops on the back of the silver head band.

The piece is accompanied by a blue velvet tiara box, possibly original with a cream silk interior embossed "Skinner Silversmith and Diamond Merchant, Orchard Street, London. W." in gold letters with the surmounted image of a crown."

A an impressive articulated Burmese sapphire and diamond necklace/tiara. Set to the center with 22 cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced Burmese sapphires, with a combined approximate weight of 32.94 carats, embellished with 222 round old cut diamonds with a combined weight of 30 carats. Alternated by 22 round old cut diamonds with a combined weight of 8 carats. Fitted with an integrated push clasp and hinged safety latch, approximately 18.5" in length. A removable section of nine sapphire clusters convert to an elegant openwork tiara with black velvet lined tiara frame.
