"Okay so this is like Junko x Makoto BUT there's a key difference here. Kiibo is the audience's surrogate. He's the traitor, even if he doesn't know it. Being behind a killing game and not even knowing it- and to have Tsumugi reveal it so flippantly??? Ourgh. It's Hope x Despair except the Hope aspect was forced into it, Kiibo might have been built for this and only this- to be Tsumugi's other half. There's also the fact that his life lies in Tsumugi's hands entirely. Of course, all of the characters are like that, but Tsumugi can just. Wipe Kiibo's personality entirely. When he tries to rebel from the role he was given, she deletes his personality so he'll simply follow the audience's wishes. A majority of the game he's being used and manipulated without even knowing, without anyone knowing. I adore their dynamic together. I wish we'd gotten more of it tbh."

okay, fr tho, hanimori is SO funny. absolutely hilarious. they've been doing the incest shtick longer and louder than the hitachiins for god's sake. like with hikakao you can be like, WELL it's just an act...maybe they arent actually Like That...(they are, but that's besides the point). but hanimori? these dudes are in a committed 24/7 ddlg roleplay/hj like it's so obvious....
I think it's also a ship with a lot of possibilities?? just bcuz hani and mori are very different people. like, they officially "got" together probably because of hani, because i'd think mori would see it as a violation of his "duty" of protecting hani to be in a relationship with him. i think in general mori would have a slight bit of relationship guilt, which hani can help him work thru...
if youre a fan of darker concepts though, mori's dedication to hani means it would probably be easy for hani to manipulate him, intentionally or not. basically forcing him into a relationship. while mori is known for putting his foot down when it comes to hani's health and safety, would he do it for his own? even at the expense of hani's happiness?
but for a more fluffier concept, i do think they are just a stable, happy couple. if anybody has relationship issues, they go to hani and mori for advice. im sure kaoru came to them once or twice in regards to him and hikaru. and it's hilarious bc nobody says anything?? all outsiders think they're just...a man with his younger brother, younger cousin, maybe even his son??? nobody would guess hani is older, or that they're dating.
however i think MORI is sometimes the one who goes to others for help, because while his relationship with hani is steady, he often feels he cannot show his love well enough...hani constantly expresses his love for mori verbally, physically, with gifts, but the most mori does is just. hang around him 24/7 to show he likes him, too. and he feels kind of bad about that. so he goes and asks the other hosts what he should do to show hani he loves him better.
mori is bad with his words, kind of an anxious wreck, so talking is out the window. the idea of saying "i love you" to hani's face makes him feel like he's gonna pass out with stress so he goes for other methods. he gives hani gifts, mostly food items. he does little things for hani that he didn't ask for, like grabbing his coat for him or reaching something on a high shelf (lol).
hani is extremely perceptive, so he catches on quite quickly why mori is suddenly doing these things for him. and he says, while he appreciates it a lot, mori doesn't NEED to do these things to show that he loves him, hani already knows mori loves him, and he loves him too <3
also, hani loves going on "dates" with mori. he thinks they're very fun. it's mostly mundane (well, mundane for a rich person), going out and doing activities. his favorite tho is cake nights where he eats a bunch of cake with mori and usa-chan. he also likes watching movies with mori bc it gives him an excuse to cuddle with him.
i just think it's funny how OPEN they are about their relationship and nobody says anything...then again, it's like, what even CAN they say to some of the most powerful martial artists in the world.

Maybe it’s because I’ve watched the anime many times and I’m new to the manga, but I just prefer the latter idek. Some parts of the anime are truly better as Bisco Hatori was hoping for but others I felt the manga delivered more effectively on. I feel every single character was done justice in the manga because there’s less constraints, less things cut with the author seemingly given full authority on the decisions and writing processes with ofc the help of their editors, more screen time given to important characters. Mayhaps, plot lines were done better in the anime I’ll say perhaps to compromise. Again idek. I should rewatch the anime with serious intent, I just don’t like how non-serious and replaced/needlessly cut some important feeling parts were 🤷♀️
Edit: I would’ve loved to see more of Kyoya and Kaoru as they seem most independent of Tamaki (after Honey and Mori who never seemed to continuously need him as much as the former pairing). Maybe even a KyoKao kiss or something? Idk 👉👈
Also, more screentime and development I guess of Haruhi and give us more in general on the twins and HaniMori.
#maybe it’s because I’m a TH shipper which does seem to be a contentious pairing ngl#I do tend to like canon pairings no matter how controversial because I’m inclined to see and roll with what I think the author is going for#which makes me more easily accept writing choices and to empathize#plus I LOOOVE well written canon and TH is well written canon

I feel like Ichigo would probably be the worst platonic yandere, only because he’s always been the type to be protective over those he cares about anyway. But as a platonic yandere? Amp that bitch’s protectiveness up to 11 cos if anyone gives you even the side eye he’s ready to beat their brains out.
Toshiro is a little calmer as a platonic yandere than a romantic one, if only because he’s mentally older than someone like Ichigo. However saying that, if he thinks a friend you’re going to meet seems quite shady he won’t hesitate the freeze you to the floor and give a small lecture about why you shouldn’t go. If you don’t listen? Fine. Don’t come crying to Toshiro when you get hurt!
Hinamori is probably the tamest out of these 3 as a platonic yandere. She knows that you have a right to have other friends, but she just can't help but get jealous when you’re hanging out with other friends who aren't her. You’d never leave her for your other friends right? ...right?

do you have any favorites in the current bracket? :3
For me (Mod Satou), my favorites in the current bracket would have to be Family Rentarou - The really cute polyamorous ship where Rentarou ends up with 100 girlfriends - While the series leans into some fetish-like themes and jokes at times, the submitter was correct that it's a cute and wholesome way of handling polyamory and subverting harem anime tropes! I also appreciate HaniMori a lot. I've not seen Ouran myself, but I know some close friends of mine have watched it, so seeing any pairing from that show gives me a warm feeling inside.
(Mod Happy) This is predictable on my end, haha. They've both already lost, but with Precure being my favorite media, I was really rooting for either Komugiroha or NozoCoco to make it past round 1. Those two are my favorites on the bracket. The more I watch Wonderful Precure, the more obvious it makes it that Komugi is attached to Iroha so strongly and never wants to spend a single second separate from her whatsoever. Their dynamic ends up being rather cute! Komugi even said she wants to still be held on a leash by Iroha when transformed into a human, it was adorable. With Nozomi and Coco, the entire first show of their canon run has Nozomi deciding that her dream is helping Coco fulfil his dream - and then she ends up wanting to become a teacher, just like the job that Coco had. They have umbrella scenes in Yes 5 GoGo and they get married in the more recent Otona. I'm not too hurt they lost, but they're my favorites and I had hoped they'd put up a better fight

Ummm first of all can I just say how much I fucking love your blog??? Ur brand of ouran themed bullshittery is ✨✨ immaculate ✨✨ and it's harboring empty space in my brain like a stolen jewel stg. also it is so fucking cool to see a fellow hikakao shipper out there in their morning glory like I just fucking shdudjdenkskaanhsuehdbn.. i've recently gotten back into my old ouran obsession and looking around the hikakao portion of the fandom all I see are a couple of tumbleweeds out of my peripheral rolling across a long since vacated dirt road like what the fuck its so hard to find people as in love with these characters as I am and I NEED to talk to any person ever about it or I will go insane. I just??? Have so many thoughts and feelings??? And I have a shit ton of aus and theories and monologues if you're interested :)

It's actually really interesting how many people have come to me about this, about being one of the Only active ouran posters esp hikakao. and like. im honored. hikakao is like the grandfather of twincest and i am so honored to carry the torch forward. yes i am 2 decades late to the party but hey i am with every fandom. and i like it that way tbh, i like being in a small fandom and just making connections with other people who share the same intense passion as i do with a goofy series. so ur message means a lot!!

LIKE. there are SO little hikakao content and tbh theres barely ouran content IN GENERAL and when there is its tamaharu which FAIR I UNDERSTAND WHY i love those funky dudes but....gimmie our roots. i wanna see hikakao and hanimori. TAMAHIKAKAO??? everyone sleeps on that ship. i know most people wont do the two former bc #incest and its not 2007 deviantart anymore but i will not back down. i am in the yaoi war fighting on the side of unhealthy codependency.
also i'm siper thrilled you like my art!!! that's very flattering you find my art style recognizable! anatomy is hard that is for fuckin sure and tbh ive been drawing my whole life, so a lot of it just comes with time. i can give you some tips if you'd like, but really, everyone is different. every artist learns differently, draws differently, and there's no one correct way to draw a picture.
something that really helped me get better at art is to make an "art inspo" folder on your phone, laptop, or a discord channel in a priv server. when you come accross art you really like or find useful to study, save it. maybe you like the style, or how the colors blend, or how an expression was drawn. maybe the artist drew a really good arm or a difficult pose. save the art and study it and learn from it. this helps me immensely personally as i am a very visual person. i learn best by doing, second best by seeing stuff visually laid out in front of me. im sure youll nail it one day!!!!
