Day 13 (July 19th): Flip the Script

I am late on this one I am sorry work and summer heat has gotten to me badly but I am back and though I chose not to do Star Crossed Lovers I happen to enjoy Flip the Script for numerous reasons I’m sure you all can understand.

“Yusei come on we gotta get ready for school!” Yusei grunted hearing his twin sister call him downstairs no doubt for breakfast. He yawned as he sat up from his desk papers scattered as he went to get ready, putting on his uniform and placing necessary papers in his bag before coming down. Aura was already dressed in her uniform along with an apron, her hair tied in a high ponytail with her usual blue-white hair ribbon as she cooked breakfast, their parents at the table sipping their coffee and their father looking over papers. “Morning everyone.” He spoke.

“Good morning Yusei.” His mother smiled, as he took his seat.

“Stayed up late again I see.” Hakase Fudo remarked amused at his son.

“Dad you can’t talk when you and mom are just as bad.” Aura smirked, placing breakfast on the table.

“She’s got you there dear.” Ms. Fudo giggled.

“My own daughter.” Hakase Fudo mocked gasped.

“I’m surrounded by night owls.” Aura scoffed, rolling her eyes as she cleaned the dishes. “Bento lunches are on the table, don’t forget.”

“Thanks Aura.” Yusei smiled.

“Oh Aura you’ll make a wonderful housewife someday.” Ms. Fudo smiled fondly.

“Mom!” Aura groaned blushing.

“She is not getting married.” Hakase Fudo scowled.

“Dad it's not like I’m seeing anyone period.” Aura scoffed.

“But aren’t you and Crow.” Yusei began.

“Eat your breakfast or we’ll be late for school!” Aura snapped, hoping to hide her blush as she took off her apron. “Shadow come on boy!” Shadow barked, going over to Aura’s side orange vest as her service dog.

“Have a good time darlings.” Ms. Fudo smiled.

“Stay safe.” Hakase Fudo added.

“We will.” Yusei and Aura smiled. The 2 walked out their home walking to their School of Duel Academy.

“You know you’ll have to tell father you’re seeing Crow.” Yusei told her amused.

“I will when you ask out Aki already.” She deadpanned, smirking upon seeing the flush on her brother’s face. “And fix your tie, it's crooked.”

He cleared his throat quickly, fixing his tie. “Aki and I are just friends.” He told her.

“Oh please everyone knows you guys like each other except yourselves.” She scoffed. “Plus I’m sure our parents would love the idea after all we’ve known the Izayois for years. I’m sure our moms are hoping for it.”

“And you too?” He chuckled.

“I’d be lying if I said no.” She snickered. “I mean I love Aki. She's like a sister to me, plus she’s sweet, smart, kind, and very pretty which I know you noticed.”

He flushed not denying this making her grin Shadow barking as they reached the school seeing some of their friends. “Ah Yusei, Aura!” Carly called.

“About time you 2 got here.” Jack grunted.

“We’re not even late.” Aura scoffed.

“Morning Yusei, Aura!” Crow grinned, hugging Aura.

“Morning Crow.” Yusei smiled. “Where’s Aki?”

“Went off with Misty for the Student Council.” Carly replied.

“Don’t know how she can handle all that work.” Aura sighed, shaking her head. Then the bell rang making them look up.

“Thats the bell.” Yusei said. “Better get to class.”

“Another day another test.” Jack sighed.

“Don’t!” Aura groaned, as they walked in the building.

Because my mobile links don't work, I'm going to pin this post so everyone has easy access to my muse's info.

This is my Yugioh OC, Mirai Shimo

Age: 16(Arc V Verse and Vrains Verse), at oldest 21(5D’s Verse)

Birthday: August 26

Sexuality: Demisexual panromantic

Abilities: Can talk to duel spirits. (And 5D’s verse only: psychic duelist)

Hobby: Likes to sew plush dolls.

Bio: Born in a lab to Ryoku Shimo using a surrogate mother Glacia. Glacia loved Mirai the minute she saw her, and gave Mirai her name, but unfortunately was thrown out by Ryoku after Mirai’s birth. Mirai became Ryoku’s test subject for multiple experiments. In all verses, Mirai works as a delivery doctor when she is not dueling. It’s hard work, but Mirai enjoys it as much as she can. She does suffer some depression/PTSD as a result of her father’s experimenting, and because of that is slow to accept people into her life. This bio applies regardless of verse and for the other Yugioh series(except 5Ds as Hakase Fudo saved her from a lot of experimenting).

Arc V Verse: Ryoku’s lab existed in the original dimension. Two year old Mirai escaped the lab just in time for the dimensional split, and ended up in the newly formed Heartland. She ended up finding newborn Yuto, and after nobody claimed him, she stayed with him.

Vrains Verse: Ryoku worked with Professor Kogami on a test version of the lost incident, a year before the incident involving Yusaku and co. Mirai and five others, five year olds at the time, were involved in the test. The only one to survive was Mirai, and an ignis was created based on her. This ignis was not perfect, being only a third the size of Ai and co in tiny form, but Mirai loved the tiny thing right away. She named the ignis Snowfall and considers it to be her baby. Mirai has a link vrains avatar named Frost Seraph. Here is a picture of her with her avatar, Frost Seraph holding a bear representing Snowfall.

5Ds Verse: Brand new verse! Mirai was three years old at the time of zero reverse, and Ryoku worked in the same lab building as Hakase Fudo. Mirai snuck out of Ryoku’s lab one day and walked around the building. She found the room where newborn Yusei was and couldn’t resist playing with him for a little while. Hakase Fudo found her with Yusei and asked who she was and where she came from. When Mirai said not to tell her daddy but she just wanted to get out of the lab closet he locked her in for a little while, Hakase Fudo immediately refused to let her return to that man and told her to stay with Yusei instead. Hakase Fudo made sure both Yusei and Mirai escaped zero reverse and since then Mirai has been a sort of guardian angel to Yusei, making sure he’s safe and loved. Martha found the two alone and took them in.

GX verse: Mirai is a slifer red student who got into the academy as she needed a place to live after getting out of her dad's lab and the dorms would do while she saved up her paychecks. Because she works by night, Mirai is often tired in class, but she gets her work done. The science lab is a difficult place for her to enter as it brings flashbacks of her father's lab and her awful childhood there.

Appearance: Has scars all over her body. Pale skin, right eye is ice blue while left eye is white(result of one of Ryoku’s experiments, Mirai is legally blind in the white eye) and brown and white hair with ice blue bangs.

Deck: Mirai uses an ice-based deck filled with angels and dragons. Her two aces are Frost the Arctic Angel and her partner Hail the Antarctic angel. They are XYZs that function best as a pair, as each protects the other from being destroyed. They also work with Mirai’s newest monster, the synchro Snowflake the Polar Cherub. Snowflake is Frost and Hail’s daughter, and grants them both 800 additional attack points to protect her. Mirai also has a fusion, Aurora, Seraph of the Winter, who can use the effect of any one monster in Mirai’s extra deck once per duel. For Vrains verse, Mirai does also have two links, Freezing Frost, Seraph of the North and Hailstorm, Seraph of the South. These are upgraded forms of Frost and Hail. Frost and Hail are pictured below.

META:|| TIMELINE OF EVENTS

ITS LONG AND IN-DEPTH AND HAS SPOILERS

Unknown Date: The Kaiba brothers run the city of Domino, as well as Kaiba Corp (the lead in dueling technology). After Pegasus died, Kaiba Corp bought Industrial Illusions. A memorial was constructed in Pegasus’ honour.

Unknown Date: Kaiba Corp funds the R.R.D (Reactor Research Division,) after taking an interest in Dr. Hakase Fudo’s research and discovery in planetary particles and the planetary gear-- named the “Yusei Project.” (Dr.Fudo’s research is also readily availble to the pubic as he believed in knowledge being free for all.) Thus the development of Ener-D technology begins; a “green” energy created by the bonding of those planetary particles and the energy created from dueling. Rex and Roman were Dr.Fudo’s assistants.

Unknown Date: Synchro Summoning is added as a mechanic into the game by Kaiba Corp/Industrial Illusions. Seto Kaiba takes credit for it, but it unknown who the “real” inventor is, if there even if one.

November 1, 2016: Kalin Kessler is born in what would become “Satellite.”His father left during sometime during his mother’s pregnancy.

July 7, 2017: Yusei Fudo is born in the Tops of Domino City. He is named after the particles of his father’s research, Yuusei Ryuushi.

End of September- October, 2017: Dr.Fudo tries to put a stop to the reactor, knowing how unstable it is becoming and fearing an accident would occur. (It was causing unstable weather conditions in its instability.) The City denied the cancellation, and removed Dr.Fudo from the project. He collected three of the four signer cards of the project from Roman, who was now in charge of the project (Ancient Fairy Dragon was left behind by accident,) and handed two to Rex before going to save his son as a final act.

October 3, 2017, at exactly 4:31am: Zero Reverse happens; the reactor was overloaded by Roman in order for it to spin in reverse, causing many casualties beyond himself. Domino City was split in half, creating New Domino and the Satellite. Yusei was saved by his father putting the infant in an escape pod, along with Stardust Dragon, and landing in the newly formed Satellite. Kalin’s mother and Rex miraculously survive.

October 5, 2017: Martha happens upon a crying, starving Yusei. She’s struggling to take care of as many children as she can, as many lost their parents in Zero Reverse and she pities them, but what’s one more?

October, 2017: The Kaiba brothers have not been seen since before the accident. The city scrambles to put itself in order and lies to the people in order to not face repercussions for funding the project, by calling the Zero Reverse incident the result of an earthquake and tsunami. The citizens of what is now New Domino believe it, but Satellite knows the truth.

November 2017: Rex, in Satellite, created the first duel runner and moved to the coast closest to New Domino. His identity was kept a secret due to him never taking off his helmet. Hoping to find Roman once again, he starts to create the Daedalus Bridge. People thought it was an asinine project, but started to have hope once again. Perhaps these rough few months were soon to be over.

December 2017: Rex became wanted by Sector security and construction was forced to stop as he went into hiding.

January 2017: Rather than get caught by Security, Rex fled Satellite by driving off the half finished bridge and landing in the cold waters. He lost his arm, although how is not readily known. It could have been severely injured, or it could have been perhaps frost bite. Regardless, he has a prosthetic arm.

January - June 2017: Rex Goodwin slowly rises to power in New Domino as the City’s director and head of Sector Security.

August 2017: Rex knows that Satellite will become the final frontier for the Signer War. In an effort to keep the battle field contained, he made it illegal for migration between the two city halves, causing Satellite to start falling into disrepair and is barely supported by the government.

October 17, 2017: The Kaiba brothers are officially declared dead, assumed to have died in Zero Reverse, although some suspect the two had gone into hiding in order to not face backlash. A memorial park is constructed in their honour-- it contains three statues of Blue Eyes White Dragon.

Unknown Date: The city starts to convert to Ener-D energy as a power source, as Rex had continued it’s research and development. Fossil fuels are still in use, such as oil for hydraulics, but Ener-D is in the process of almost entirely replacing gas and diesel. (Each duel runner has an emergency gas tank.)

Unknown Date: Sector Security becomes harsher and harsher to the residents of Satellite. The recycling facility is built; despite the green energy, people from the City waste so much. Rex Goodwin begins to fall into his classist mindset.

2019: More duel runners have been built and are being sold to popular duelists as a new and exciting innovation for dueling. With the rising popularity of Turbo Duels, Rex also made it illegal for Satellites to duel by outlawing decks, and runners. Sector Security becomes notably harsher and living conditions worsen. Crime rates begin to sharply rise as Satellite falls into what it’s later known for. The Facility is built in order to keep criminals at bay.

Unknown Date: People are beginning to realize who Yusei’s father is, and he is burdened about the past from an early age, despite the support from his foster family.

2025 - 2026: Kalin’s mother becomes chronically ill, and passes away in the next year, leaving Kalin to turn to the streets where he becomes a public nuisance. He starts to realize that the real criminals in Satellite were Sector Security, for oppressing and abusing the people.

Unknown Date: Kalin becomes a proficient duelist and an even more skilled physical fighter, despite his lanky frame. He wins a knife in a fight and it becomes his most prized possession.

Unknown Date: Kalin is caught by Sector Security. As he is under the age of 12, he cannot be marked and is sent to the Re-Education Centre as a result for “behavioral correction,” as he is deemed a “troubled youth.” Despite only being for two weeks, it was hell and deeply rooted his hatred for Security.

Unknown Date: Jack, Crow and Yusei must take the standardized test issued by the City, as Martha’s orphanage is funded partially by the City. Due to their marks being deemed ‘below average,’ they are sent to the Re-Education Centre. Yusei meets Trudge for the first time, it’s an instant dislike on both sides. The group had tasted the police brutality in Satellite before, but this was the worst of what they have experienced thus far. Kalin was released before they arrived.

August 28, 2029: Yusei (12) and Kalin (12, turning 13) first meet. Kalin was throwing rocks at the police and was running before (literately) bumping into Yusei. Yusei hid them, as he knew the area better, and later brought Kalin to Martha’s, safe and away from Security. A friendship was immediately made. Kalin did not stay at Martha’s, but he visited frequently for days (or even weeks) at a time. Martha considered him a fourth son.

Late 2029 - Early 2030: Jack, Crow, and Yusei leave Martha’s and they live together on the streets with Kalin. The Enforcers are formed as a group of friends. Later, Kalin has the idea of uniting Satellite. The rest are unsure at first, but join in regardless due to their strong bond and trust in Kalin.

2030 - Early August 2032: The Enforcers unite the districts of Satellite and start to have a reputation. Somewhere nearing the start of this time, Kalin and Yusei started dating. Kalin’s mental state begins to slowly deteriorate, his methods of uniting getting a bit more brutal, but his friends stick by his side regardless. They don’t think too much of it, and neither does Kalin. During the duel with the last duel gang, Yusei almost falls to his death but Kalin saves him.

October - November 2032: Kalin is now quickly losing his self of morals and is becoming increasingly paranoid, insisting that the Enforcers must defend their territory by destroying dueling disks. He develops a toxic personality. It is no longer about uniting, it is about power. This is made apparent when he takes things too far by physically assaulting a child member of Team Insect.

November 11, 2032: Crow and Jack leave the team. They can’t stay around and watch as Kalin hurts others, and how it hurts Kalin himself. Yusei stays by his side, however, hoping he can turn Kalin around.

December 14, 2032: The cracks in Kalin continue to grow, despite Yusei’s best efforts to patch them up. Yusei’s heart hurts, but he forces himself to leave Kalin in a desperate attempt that it would wake Kalin up after hearing his plans to go against Security. It doesn’t work, and Kalin finally snaps.

December 19, 2032: Kalin goes to face Sector Security alone, and murders an officer in cold blood. His friends join him, but in an effort to stop him. Yusei tries ti give himself up as the leader, but Kalin is found and believes that Yusei sold him out due to a misinterpretation.

Late December, 2032: Kalin is marked and brought to the facility. His reputation as an Enforcer precedes him, and he is targeted by inmates and officers alike. Food was taken as punishment, but he still fought back, no matter how weak he felt due to not eating.

Unknown Date: The rest of the Enforcers consistently try to visit Kalin, but they’re are turned away. the last attempt they had made, they were threatened to to be marked themselves.

Unknown Date: Kalin’s deck, that he had managed to smuggle in, was taken away. He stopped fighting back and let himself be subjected to every punishment and beating from inmates and officers. He wasn’t so high and mighty now, was he? His spirit was broken, which allowed Ccapac Apu to enter his mind and start whispering about revenge, although Kalin did not know the Immortal’s name at this time.

Early February 2033: Kalin, age 17, willingly giving himself up to the darkness, commits suicide after just over two months of being imprisoned in the facility. Whenever he was supposed to leave his cell and did not, it was chalked up to him being weak from starvation. His body was left for nearly week before the complaints of smells became annoying. What happened with Kalin’s original body is unknown. Yusei finds himself falling into a state of depression due to Kalin’s death and closes himself off emotionally.

April - May 2034: Crow has drifted away from the group, taking care of kids and helping Robert Pearson and Bolton build duel runners where he could with his limited knowledge. Jack and Yusei remained close, befriending Tank, Nervin, Blitz and Rally Dawson.

Summer, 2034: Yusei begins to builds his first runner with the help of all his friends, it gives them all hope.

July 2034: Jack and Yusei have a falling out, claiming it to have been a difference in goals and ideals, although it was quite possibly over Kalin.

December, 2034: The duel runner is completed.

Early January, 2035: Lazar approaches Jack and strikes a deal with him to become a dueling King, on the condition he stole Yusei’s runner and Stardust Dragon. Jack endangers Rally and forces Yusei to choose, between glory and Rally-- he chose the friend who was in danger

Unknown Date: Jack quickly rises to fame in a few months; his past being kept a secret and fabricated. The duel runner is modified to become unrecognizable, but Yusei knows it’s the same one.

March 8, 2035: Jack duels and wins against Dragan, unbeknownst to him that Dragan was paid to lose, along with many of the other duelists he had faced in the past and will face in the future. Bolt Tanner and Hunter Pace were two of few duelists not paid to lose.

Unknown Date: Rally is caught by Sector Security for thievery and is marked.

Summer - Fall 2035: Yusei and his friends begin working together on the Yusei Go, constantly modifying it, trying to make it even better than the runner before. Now, it’s all of them investing themselves into it and their hope is even stronger than before.

2036 - 2037: Yusei starts to make himself known as a public nuisance to Sector Security, especially Trudge, which catches the eyes of Rex as a duelist and possible Signer, despite not having a birthmark.

2037: 5D’s begins.

Not everyone is familiar with the world of Yu-Gi-Oh!, and less with the world of 5D’s specifically. This page is to help people with terms I will refer to in headcanons and posts, and to explain in simple terms what they are.

NEO DOMINO CITY (New Domino City in the dub) is located in futuristic Japan, in an unspecified coastal location. It is the utopic rebuilt version of Domino City, rebuilt after the events of ZERO REVERSE.

Locations in Neo Domino City include:

the Arcadia Movement building, where the ARCADIA MOVEMENT is based.

Saiga’s apartment.

Carly’s apartment.

A court house. Criminals and undesirables are taken here to be sentenced to imprisonment in THE DETENTION CENTER or exile to the SATELLITE.

the Daimon Area, where the sector securitybuilding, Saiga’s shop Bootleg, and an arena for underground dueling are.

Two Duel Academies, the standard mixed-gender Duel Academy and the Queen’s Duel Academy, which is exclusively female only.

A Duel Shrine on the outskirts of the city, where people pray to Duel Spirits.

Domino General Hospital, a hospital at the forefront of medicinal technologies and medicine.

Godwin Mansion, also on the outskirts of the city.

Jack Atlas’ penthouse in the centre of the city.

Rua and Ruka’s family penthouse, located in the heights of the Tops.

The Tops, an upper-class residential area in a gated community.

The Memorial Circuit, a dueling stadium.

New Momentum, an improved energy generation system that powers the city.

Party Hall, a function hall to host society’s elite.

Poppo Time, a clock shop where Zora lives and Team 5D’s live in the lead up to the WRGP.

The Detention Center, located in the outskirts of the city. It is a prison where all undesirables are sent for their crimes.

SATELLITE is an island just off the coast of Neo Domino City and is a dystopic, desolate ruin. The common belief in the city is that it was built by the leader of the PUBLIC SECURITY MAINTENANCE BUREAU, Rex Godwin, to house the ‘scum’ of the city (criminals, miscreants, anyone who the city did not like), but it is actually a part of the original Domino City. It was separated from what is now Neo Domino City by ZERO REVERSE, which split the districts that became the Satellite off from the rest of the city and pushed it away by means of an explosion-induced earthquake. The sea between Satellite and Neo Domino is actually a water-filled chasm created by Zero Reverse. The only connection between Satellite and Neo Domino prior to the Daedalus Bridge (which is not featured in any verse prior to the WRGP arc) is a waste-filled pipe through which the city sends their rubbish to be processed and recycled. The Satellite is dependent on the meagre income the City provides in exchange for processing their waste.

Locations in the Satellite include:

an abandoned amusement park located within the B.A D.

several abandoned factories

the B.A.D. (Barbaric Area After Damage) located in the heart of Satellite and widely regarded as the most dangerous place on the island. In the center of the B.A.D. is a miles deep crater - the remains of the OLD MOMENTUM REACTOR and base of the DARK SIGNERS.

Satellite Bay, located near the Daedalus Bridge and south-west of Crow’s hideout. It is where Godwin appeared in the Satellite and laid the foundations for the Bridge’s predecessor.

Daedalus Bridge (appears only after the Dark Signer arc) is a completed version of the legendary bridge half laid down by Godwin before the series started.

Martha’s house, where Yusei grew up, in the very south regions of Satellite.

The Old Momentum Reactor, located at the bottom of the B.A.D. crater, which still houses MOMENTUM.

The Pipeline, delivering junk from the City to the Satellite.

A port, through which Security delivers miscreants and criminals to be exiled to the Satellite. It only operates in one direction, however; no one is allowed to leave Satellite.

Puzzle Hospital, a derelict hospital that serves all Satellite.

Yusei’s hideout, which is part of an abandoned subway system.

THE DUEL MONSTER SPIRIT WORLD is a world parallel to the human world where all Duel Spirits live. It has realms within it and areas to cater to all Duel Spirits’ living needs. Very few people can see and converse with Duel Spirits naturally, though all spirits possess the ability to appear to all they choose to,at the expense of their strength.

Locations in the Spirit World include:

The Ancient Forest, part of Ancient Fairy Dragon’s domain. It practices pacifism, and all violence is forbidden within it’s bounds.

Forest of Pojar, a forest outside the town of Schwank. It is where Regulus, Ancient Fairy Dragon’s servant lives.

Schwank, one of many towns within the Spirit World. More humanoid Duel Spirits live here.

Zeman’s Castle, the lair of Zeman the demonic monkey king. Ancient Fairy Dragon’s prison was located here. After the defeat of Demak and Zeman, the castle stood empty as a reminder of the atrocities that had occurred there.

other locations include:

The shrine to the Earthbound Immortals built in Peru.

The Sky Temple, a pre-Inca civilisation where the People of the Dragon Star lived and worshipped the Crimson Dragon.

Crash Town, a Wild West-based town hours outside of Neo Domino.

important figures and concepts

THE CRIMSON DRAGON - a god amongst Duel Spirits, also known as Quetzalcoatl.

THE EARTHBOUND GODS - a group of wicked gods who mean to open the doors to the Underworld and destroy all life. They were sealed in the Nazca Lines by the Signer Dragons and the Crimson Dragon 5,000 years before the start of the series to prevent them destroying the worlds.

THE SIGNERS AND SIGNER DRAGONS - a group of five chosen by the Crimson Dragon to help defeat the Earthbound Gods, marked by Marks of the Crimson Dragon. The Dragons are servants of the Crimson Dragon who aid the Signers in their quest.

DARK SIGNERS - the antithesis of the Signers, servants of the Underworld and the Earthbound Gods. They are the souls of people who died without fulfilling a purpose, who were hence brought back to life by the Earthbound Gods in exchange for serving them.

MOMENTUM - the source of all energy in Neo Domino.

Yliaster - a malevolent group from the future who wish to alter the future by changing the past.

D-Wheels - motorcycles optimised for dueling

Riding Duels - duels in which D-Wheels are used.

THE 3000 B.C. NAZCA WAR was the battle that took place between the Crimson Dragon and its disciples and the Earthbound Gods 5000 years before the series. The Crimson Dragon and the Signer Dragons, after a hard battle over thousands of years where each time they defeated the wicked gods, they came back and threatened the worlds anew, forced the gods into the earth and bound them within the Nazca Lines, albeit at the expense of Ancient Fairy Dragon and Life Stream Dragon.

THE 8000 B.C. NAZCA WAR was the battle that took place between the Crimson Dragon, its disciples, and the Crimson Devil Red Nova. Through the gift of a legendary Signer, the dragons were able to defeat Red Nova and seal it away, though they knew it would not be forever.

ZERO REVERSE is an event that happened 17 years prior to the start of the series. Roman Godwin destabilised the Old Momentum Reactor and caused it to explode, separating what came to be known as the Satellite from the City and causing mass destruction and loss of life. This was the event that started to awake the Earthbound Gods from their 5000 year slumber.

THE ARCADIA MOVEMENT is a group of Psychic Duelists gathered under Divine. Psychic Duelists are duelists who have the ability to summon their monsters in a physical form and grant them mass and weight where regular duelists can only summon them as holograms. Though the members were not aware of it, Divine intended for them to be psychic soldiers to be sold like weapons in wars to profit himself and the warring states.

SECTOR SECURITY are the police officers of Neo Domino City. They maintain order and are controlled by the PUBLIC SECURITY MAINTENANCE BUREAU, though many are corrupt and treat Satellite-natives with derision and scorn. Some bend and break the rules to pardon City natives while putting the blame on Satellite natives instead.

PUBLIC SECURITY MAINTENANCE BUREAU is the full title of those who run the city and are in charge of security. Sector Security is only one sector of it. It is run by Rex Godwin, Director of the Bureau and leader of the City.

M.I.D.S ( MOMENT INVESTIGATION AND DEVELOPMENT SECTOR ) was the group in charge of developing MOMENTUM, lead by Dr. Hakase Fudo. They were in charge of Old Momentum and it was by the actions of Roman Godwin that the reactor detonated and caused ZERO REVERSE. Those that were left of M.I.D.S. concealed the truth behind Zero Reverse at Director Godwin’s behest, claiming that it was a natural disaster and not the reactor that had caused the cataclysm.
