#HOSPITALS SCHOOLS AND PLACES OF WORSHIP WERE BOMBED

Learning how to be comfortable with being uncomfortable is important. I'm genuinely not okay when I hear, see, and research more about the genocide happening in Gaza, the history of Israel's founding, and its terroristic actions. It is important for me to know.
Taking short breaks (usually a couple of hours or so) does help when things get too much. Then, I return and continue engaging with reblogs on Palestine.
I really don't know what else to say, but this genocide must end. All genocides must end and must never happen again. Keep talking about Palestine, Armenia, Congo, and Sudan! Keep protesting! Keep fighting!
What is important now is to be as loud as you can be! Raise ruckus! Make your voice unavoidable! Be as annoying as possible! Do not let your representatives ignore this!

If you go on the average liberal zionist blog or their Twitter accounts you'll see they're not reposting videos of the carnage. Of palestinians in the aftermath of being airstriked by missiles or the tragic scenes unfolding in the hospitals. They're not posting that.
But when there is alleged hamas culpability in the deaths of palestinians in gaza...oh they will be reposting the shit out of that. They are jumping on it and posting "it's so sad that hamas is doing this to their own people" and "anyone believing that Israel is still responsible for this is an anti semite!" We saw it with the bombing of the al Ahli hospital. And i saw it today. A palestinian posted a video of themself on a road where there was the corpses of palestinians all over the street after being targeted by israel. These people were walking south. An account on twitter, called the gaza_report (not affiliated with gazan journalists and gazans have spoken that its likely run by israelis), took that video removed the context and claimed that it was Hamas preventing palestinians from evacuating and shot them. The audacity right? To use palestinian corpses to confirm their own beliefs. They don't care about palestinian death until they can exploit it.
We know that israel targeted an ambulance in front of al shifa hospital. A journalist, Haitham Hararah, was killed in that strike. Journalists have been using al shifa hospital as a safe place to report from. Israeli occupation forces confirmed that the strike came from them. Their justification? There was a hamas member inside. That's all they need to say so they have a chorus of people saying "it's a shame that hamas allowed this to happen"
There is nothing that Israel won't do and that includes targeting palestinians on the street, in their homes, in the ambulance, at their place of worship, at a school. Do not let zionists take advantage of the narrative and confuse you.

Biden's visit has concluded. Israel has spent his entire visit trying to muddy the waters of what happened to Al Ahli Hospital and despite their cartoonish efforts, it hasn't worked
Tumblr media
The Global South and especially West Asia know who is responsible for the bombing and no amount of AI voice recordings of 'Hamas operatives' can change that.
Israel war crimes continues to backfire on them even in America
Tumblr media
Biden backing Israel has had an impact on America's image. Here's a Wall Street Journal article warning that America's continued support is turning countries towards Russia and China which is code for turning countries against America
An EU official said that the EU will pay a heavy price in the Global South for its continued, unabashed support for Israel
Tumblr media
There's also speculation that the Biden administration knew about the bombing before it happened.
Countries that were/are allied with Israel continue to distance themselves from Israel like Russia. The reason I keep highlighting Russia is because the West has been running out of ammunition due to the Russia-Ukraine war and that includes Israel which is rumoured to have sent 80-90% of its ammunition to Ukraine. If this conflict lasts a long time, Israel will need to buy weapons and ammunition and Russia would be one of the countries they would turn to (same with China)
Tumblr media
So, where are we in terms of the conflict? After days of waffling over a ground operation in Gaza, Israel postponed it until some time after Biden's visit and now we're back here again
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now I'm no military expert but constantly going back and forth on whether or not you'll invade Gaza is bound to do damage to your troops' morale. No wonder they're dealing with mass desertions while their citizens demonstrate on the streets. The Israeli leadership has no plan besides bombing Gaza.
Tumblr media
I've seen people on twitter say that the hospital bombing was done deliberately to normalise IDF soldiers to mass civilian deaths in places like hospitals, schools, places of worship, etc. I don't know if I believe that - I think they wanted to push Iran and Hezbollah's buttons before hiding behind Biden. I don't think these people are thinking strategically.
As far as the possibility of regional war is concerned, all indicators show that the West preparing for the war to escalate
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Seems to me the Israel has seen what Ukraine has received in just a year and a half of war. They're done receiving a paltry 3.8 billion every year and now prepared to drag out the conflict and I can't say I blame with Biden proposing a 100 billion package for both Ukraine and Israel. This will stretch America too thin as far as funding in concerned. Cracks are already showing
Tumblr media
There are parts of the US government that is unhappy that the Ukraine war is losing attention. During the Ukraine war, you had parts of the government that wanted focus to shift from Russia to China. Because of that, the US government has spent the past year alternating between hostility to Russia and threatening to go to war with China over Taiwan. When Niger expelled France from within its borders, America was preparing to join that conflict until Mali and Burkina Faso declared they would fight with Niger. Now they're entering a third front in West Asia. In short, the mighty empire is expending a lot of resources right now and it is not the threat it was when it invaded Iraq and Afghanistan in the early 2000s.
At any rate, the ground invasion of Gaza won't go the way Israel and America hopes it will
Tumblr media
The coalition of Palestinian resistance fighters are still patiently waiting for the IDF to come meet them. Their allies aren't backing down either
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The reason I keep making these posts is to remind people that, while the genocide of the people of Gaza is horrifying, the war for the liberation of Palestine has not yet been lost.
Do not lose hope. From the river to sea, Palestine WILL be free

My tiktok account was banned because zionists were mass reporting it and you know what, I feel rather honoured someone would consider my content threatening enough that they needed to shut my page down entirely.
I can state, as I have said resoundingly so since I first started learning about Palestinian struggles to liberation for nearly a decade now, is this: my solidarity has and will always be with Palestinian people. That I, like many, will NEVER accept Israel's (and the United States government) ongoing systematic and unilateral, colonial-settler violence against Palestinian people.
if you support Israel, you have blood on your hands.
If you support Israel, you're a genocide apologist.
If you support Israel, you condone an illegal occupation and the bombing of innocent civilians.
If you support Israel, you support the mass dehumanization and demonization of Palestinian people.
If you support Israel, you support their propaganda campaigns they have consistently pushed out on their sns accounts, which mimic Nazi Germany characterizations of Jewish people, and overall; colonial and imperial powers animalization of an ethnic group they are seeking to ethnically cleanse.
Is you support Israel, you support their indiscriminate strikes against schools, places of worship, hospitals, and refugee camps -you support WAR CRIMINALS.
So much more can be said, but I will leave it on this note: I will keep re-posting. I will keep making content. I will not be silent when so many people are suffering in this world. My voice may be small, but I will elevate and spread Palestinian voices as much as humanely possible because they all deserve to be seen, to be heard, to be supported, to be free like us all.
Anyone else who thinks otherwise, I sincerely question your humanity.

WW1 was started from the assassination of one man.
The Spanish American War started with the sinking of one ship.
The American Revolution was started over taxes.
Yet tens of thousands of children are dead in Palestine at the hands of an invading, occupational, regime, and we are expected to turn a blind eye and ignore them. More than a million people starving, freezing, huddled terrified under the ambience of fire and metal raining from the sky. Schools, hospitals, neighborhoods, places of worship, reduced to rubble. Children buried in collapsed buildings, men stripped and humiliated, the press shot, mothers being forced to give birth with no medical care. Treated like animals. Treated like less than animals. We're supposed to be ok with our government funding and condoning and defending this. We're supposed to think that little girl deserved to sit in that car for two weeks surrounded by the dead bodies of her family. We're supposed to be ok with journalists dropping off the earth one by one. We're supposed to turn a blind eye to the one place Palestinians were told they'd be safe being bombed. To think it's fine they have to pay thousands to escape to Egypt just to survive. We're even supposed to see that regime as the "good guys"
Where is their war? Who is helping them? What do they do when everyone who defends them is attacked? Where do they go?
But no, Israel are the good guys. Hamas is the problem, they're just defending themselves against the thousands of children who are so clearly a national threat. Bombing the hospitals filled with injured and sick folks who obviously threaten their way of life. Destroying neighborhoods filled with common every day citizens who are definitely out for blood. Don't think about it too much, trust your government, listen to the propos. You're anti-Semitic if you ain't a Zionist. Isreal are the good guys.
What a fucking joke.

LUCKNOW, India (AP) — Authorities in a northern Indian town imposed an indefinite curfew and ordered police to shoot violators after clashes over the construction of a Muslim seminary and a mosque left at least five people dead and more than 150 injured, officials said Friday.
The violence Thursday also led authorities to shut down internet services and schools in Haldwani, Uttarakhand state government official Chief Radha Raturi said.
The situation was brought under control with nearly 4,000 police officers rushing to the area, said police officer A.P. Anshuman. He said police were ordered to shoot protesters violating the curfew.
On Thursday, thousands of protesters tried to block government officials and police who arrived to demolish the seminary and mosque following a court order that the structures were being built on government land without local authorization, Anshuman said.
As violence escalated, police fired live ammunition and tear gas to disperse protesters using petrol bombs and stones to attack a police station and set several vehicles on fire, Anshuman said.
State police chief Abhinav Kumar said five people died in the violence. He did not give details but said no fresh violence was reported on Friday.
Government administrator Vandana Singh Chauhan over 150 police officers were injured and several people were hospitalized.
Anshuman did not say whether police fire killed the protesters. He also didn't identify the religion of the victims.
Haldwani is about 270 kilometers (170 miles) northeast of New Delhi.
Muslim groups and rights organizations have accused India’s Hindu-nationalist government of demolishing their homes and businesses in the past. Officials have defended their actions, saying they are only targeting illegal buildings, but critics call it a growing pattern of “bulldozer justice” aimed at punishing activists from minority group.
In a report released this week, Amnesty International condemned several instances of bulldozers razing Muslims’ homes, businesses and places of worship, which it said was often done under the guise of illegal encroachment and without adequate notice.
“The unlawful demolition of Muslim properties by the Indian authorities, peddled as ‘bulldozer justice’ by political leaders and media, is cruel and appalling. Such displacement and dispossession is deeply unjust, unlawful and discriminatory,” said Agnès Callamard, the rights group’s secretary general.
The group’s researchers found that between April and June 2022, authorities in five states used demolitions as punishment following incidents of communal violence or protests, and documented at least 128 demolitions during this period.
Critics and opponents have long accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of looking the other way and sometimes enabling hate speech against Muslims, who comprise 14% of India’s 1.4 billion people.
Modi’s Bhartiya Janata Party denies the accusations.

It is unthinkable to me that people are continuing to not just try and justify this, but some are still denying it’s even happening. Palestinians are live streaming the genocide of their people. There have been real time updates as bombs are dropped and homes and hospitals and schools and places of worship have been destroyed. You can open any social media and see bodies being dug out from underneath rubble, people crowding the halls of hospitals, people forced to live in tents because their homes were destroyed. IDF soldiers post videos and pictures bragging about committing the violence against Palestinians, Israeli officials have made explicitly genocidal statements again and again and there will still be a post trying to say that it’s not REALLY a genocide, while the posts above and below it show dead bodies and emaciated children, devastating before and afters of city blocks, people begging for the world to just look at what is happening.
Do you think it’s only a genocide years after the aggression has stopped??? Do you think that somehow millions of people have worked together in the world’s largest group project to make Israel look bad? As if the posts and statements made by Israelis doesn’t make them look bad enough on their own???? I don’t understand how you can sleep at night while being okay with mass starvation, forced displacement, destruction of everything they had, but if you feel strongly enough in your belief that it doesn’t haunt you then why don’t you just admit that you support a genocide when everyone can see that’s what’s happening here?
There is no scenario in which any of this is justifiable. I cannot imagine what it takes to dehumanize a group of people to the point that you are okay with this and I hope to god I never learn what it takes. Nobody deserves to go through this.

A heartbreaking speech from Palestinian ambassador to the UN, Majed Bamya.
Transcript under cut.
Ambassador Majed Bamya @majedbamya I am from the generation born with the Nakba, with its massacres, its tents and its hardships. I never thought I would see it happen again in my lifetime. 70% of Palestinians in Gaza are already refugees, who were denied their right of return for decades now. Many of the people in Gaza have had their homes destroyed in previous assaults. Palestinians in Gaza today mourn their loved ones, and mourn their homes, that they built and rebuilt for themselves and their families. They mourn their city, they mourn the Gaza Strip as all its landmarks have been destroyed. Every place people had happy memories in has been disfigured. Now every corner is filled with agony and death and suffering. In 100 days, virtually every Palestinian in Gaza has been displaced multiple times, from a home to a UN shelter to a tent. Searching for safety everywhere, finding safety nowhere. Searching for life anywhere, met by death everywhere. Israel has deliberately destroyed everything. It killed and maimed our children, our doctors, our journalists, our engineers, our poets, our academics. It destroyed the very requirement of life and of a life in Gaza. No homes to live in, no schools or universities to study, no hospitals to heal, no mosques or churches to worship, no agricultural land to farm, no bakeries for bread, no drinkable water, no markets to buy from, no safety, no future. It was hoping Palestinians would leave under the pressure of its bombardments, they have not. Now it is hoping they will leave because of the destruction the bombs have left behind. Palestinians are traumatized by the Nakba. They have laid even deeper roots in the hope of preventing it from reoccurring. But it is unjust that their lives should be hell on earth just because they refuse to leave their homeland. Our people have a simple dream, to live in freedom and dignity on their land. This is their right!

i refuse to believe we didn't do this in Iraq too. I refuse to believe we didn't bomb schools hospitals places of worship libraries advocacy organizations for people with disabilities etc all while pretending we were searching for one guy or WMDs. we have committed these atrocities before. we would have seen this in 2001 if more people had cameras on their phones capturing video and an internet connection. there is one playbook and it has one entire page

when i learnt the history behind the Israeli occupation last year, i did have hope for a return to a two-state resolution
since then, however, the true nature of both the idf and israeli colonisers as passionately genocidal and inhumanly sadistic has become all too apparent
learning that the idf held al-nasr hospital at gunpoint and forced them to leave behind premature babies in the ICU bcos footage of their decomposing bodies hit my tl was one of the most inconceivably heartbreaking moments i've ever experienced
the degree of sinister hatred from israeli settlers towards innocent civilians is genuinely unlike anything i've seen; the level of entitlement to people's property is beyond delusion and their enthusiasm towards and normalisation of the indiscriminate murder of complete strangers is beyond absolution
moreover palestinians were (and are) more than just in declining such a resolution that was effectively trying to force them to acknowledge an illegitimate occupying nation and entitle them to divisions of their homeland, now more than ever after their atrocious human rights violations, which include:
targeting bombing of hospitals, ambulances and medical services (in addition to schools / libraries / places of worship / residential areas, i.e. places that hold NO MILITARY THREAT)
arresting and detaining palestinians without fair trial (often military trials instead of civil trials, with a 99% conviction rate)
the forcible transfer / displacement of palestinians in gaza (leaflets dropped by israeli warplanes today, nov 1st, instructing civilians of further restriction of "safe zones", which have also been indiscriminately bombed)
the targeting of journalists and press (critical employs amidst an israeli-lobbied western media)
palestine's resistance to israeli occupation has given me a deep-seated respect and admiration towards palestinian resilience and their sense of community that i believe will endure and be granted justice as the international community's abhorrence towards isreal inevitably reaches it's peak

🕊 Uno dei punti fondamentali della Posizione Cinese, fin dai primi giorni dell'escalation del Conflitto, riguarda l'apertura di un Corridoio Umanitario a Gaza. so something has been bothering us and i wanted to write about it on our main blog but people would probably get pissed at us so i’m writing it here.
we saw a post a while back that had a list of contradictory truths surrounding jewish folks and the palestinian genocide. we were going to reblog the post, as it had a lot of points we agree with. there was one point, though, that had us balking and we ended up having to move on.
that point was the contradictory truths: “hamas committed war crimes” and “israeli politicians helped put hamas in power.”
we have a lot of issues with these statements.
1. hamas, to our understanding, has committed little to no war crimes, actually. taking part in a war, initiating a war, and fighting back against occupation… none of those are war crimes. we do believe they have been fighting with dignity, and have been targeting iof soldiers, equipment, and stolen land over civilians.
2. of the 1200 israelis killed on october 7th… 600 were iof soldiers. and of that remaining 600, a staggering 80% of the casualties were caused by the iof themselves with their indiscriminate bombing and gunning down people.
3. we thought that hamas was elected into power by the palestinian majority (albeit 7-8 years ago). also, hamas is not the only actor fighting for resistance in palestine. there are lots of militant groups who are working together for the goal of liberating palestine. even if israel played a role in putting hamas in power, that doesn’t change the fact that right now hamas is fighting for a free palestine.
4. israel has committed a vast amount of atrocious war crimes, such as killing those who are surrendering, purposefully killing non-combatants, bombing houses, hospitals, schools, and places of worship, cutting civilians off from access to food, fuel, and clean water, mistreatment of hostages and pows, targeting journalists and medical personnel… the list goes on and on. hamas has not committed even a tiny fraction of the war crimes that israel is responsible for. hell, we’ve all heard about the israeli hostages released by hamas who were treated ethically and with compassion by their captors.
so yeah, that post made us upset because, while many of the contradictory truths were serious and interesting and excellent points to be made, we can’t stand to see people so willing to condemn hamas for literally making a genuine, valiant, and somewhat successful attempt to liberate palestine from israeli occupation. there is no such thing as a non-violent resistance. “non-violent resistance” is just another word for complacency.
if we’re wrong about anything we’ve said here, we’re happy to be corrected. but please, be critical of your sources! we all know the media is all-too-willing to lie in order to properly side with israel. we all know israel is regularly amending and retracting statements, getting caught in lies, and is actively trying to craft a narrative that demonizes hamas and the people of palestine. this is why we’ve been trusting people on the ground in palestine and diaspora palestinians more than any news outlet. all too often journalists will craft a fake narrative that twists palestinian resistance into something it’s not, their words spread like wildfire, and then by the time they’re caught in their lies and have to delete their articles… it’s too late. the people have seen it and choose to believe it, even when it’s not true. so we stay wary and vigilant, always.
from the river to the sea, palestine will be free!

I’m starting to get worried that because I’m criticizing the Israeli government, it could lead to me turning antisemitic or something unknowingly. How can I talk about the horrors that Palestinians are going through because of the Israeli government without spiraling into bigot territory?
The first time I ever learned about Historic Palestine was during my second year of University when I took an intersectionality class. For transparency, I was ignorant about many global issues when I was 17/18 years old, because living in a white-settler state (Canada) -with a formal education system that didn't cover topics or histories that didn't align with their 'diplomatic narratives about western countries and their perspectives,' I was, unfortunately, (although, not to excuse, it's something I still feel shame for -I wish I had known better) ignorant about many histories/herstories/and their-stories.
That was over 12 years ago, and I have many regrets about not knowing what I eventually learned -but that's the unlearning, learning and growth process -the starting point and the ongoing research ventures and accountability for oneself to understand what is going on in the world is what's important.
The reason why I'm starting off with this story is because I met a Palestinian activist during that class. She was featured on a panel alongside a few other activists, including a Sudanese women, and each of them spoke about their resistances to settler-colonizers, imperial powers, and systemic violence. And I will never forget what the Palestinian activist said during a Q&A session -that she would be willing to die to see Palestine free in her lifetime.
I think it's important to note that 'Israel,' has only existed since 1948. Indigenous Palestinian people were forcibly displaced (750,000 of them) -and tens of thousands were killed and 400 villages were destroyed (this is referred to as the Nakba of 1948). So, in essence, 'Israel' is full of settler-colonizers -they have been illegally occupying Palestine for decades and have been slowly, but surely, stealing land, terrorizing and murdering Palestinian people and have control on essentially every single aspect of a Palestinian person's life -right down to their access to water, electricity consumption, and travel -to name a few.
You are not antisemitic by criticizing a settler state that has been and continues to systematically ethnically cleanse Indigenous Palestinian people. You are not antisemitic by calling out settler-violence, carpet bombing, and the rampant and merciless destruction of an entire city's infrastructure. You are no antisemitic for saying it's immoral that the IOF is attacking hospitals, places of worship, schools, and refugee camps because it has killed thousands of Palestinian people -most of whom are defenseless children. You are not antisemitic for saying that it is a double standard for 'Israel,' to claim what they have been and are doing isn't a form of terrorism (despite breaking international laws and dozens of UN resolutions).
I am not an expert, but I do want to state (as some activists and writers here have) that conflating Pro-Palestinian liberation with antisemitism is something Zionists in the IOF and around the world have carefully crafted so that it deflects from the real issues here and that is the mass human rights violations, crimes against humanity, and illegal occupation that the IOF has done for decades in the first place.
Judaism and Zionism are DIFFERENT -being Jewish and following the Torah is not like what Zionists in the IOF want; which is literally to burn Gaza to the ground by either genociding Palestinian people and/or mass displacing them. There are MANY anti-Zionist Jewish people and anti-Zionist Israeli Jewish people who are against what the IOF is doing, and I think that is important to note here. Because you're not going to spiral into bigotry when you know that being in solidarity with Palestine means you are supporting people who want to be free from a violent occupation.
There are a few posts I have seen, one of them being "10 Talking Points," or to some effect when talking to Zionists who insist you're being antisemitic, or 'oppressive against Jewish people,' that I would highly recommend reading. I do not have it to link here, but I am hoping it is searchable.
Let's Talk Palestine on Instagram also has some wonderful educational resources, one of which covers how to have important conversations with people around you, but highlighting the terrors (as you noted) that Palestinian people go through. You can find them there, and in the next 24 hours, I will try my best to post and transcribe some of these resources.
This is by no means encompassing, but I hope this offered some clarity. Thank you for your question!

One thing I’ve been thinking about for months… I remember seeing a post once. I can’t remember the actual original context but it was something along the line of “I told my therapist I wasn’t [depressed? suicidal?], and my therapist asked what I would do differently if I WAS, and that made me realize I was wrong because there was no difference in what I would be doing.”
I wonder what israel supporters think… what would israel do differently if they were committing genocide?
Would they say they want ‘total victory?’ Would they claim that EVERY Palestinian citizen is a part of a terrorist group? Even the babies?
Would they kill children?
Would they commit war crimes (plural)?
Would they be part of an ongoing investigation as to whether or not they’re committing genocide?
Would they kill more people in a few months than those killed in the last few years in active war zones?
Would they commit ethnically cleansing?
Would they displace a huge portion of the population?
Would they forbid Palestinians from returning home if they leave?
Would they bomb medical workers?
Would the majority of their kill count be civilians?
Would they kill damn near every journalist in the area?
Would they bomb the land to hell and back, destroying local wildlife such as the olive trees?
Would they destroy schools, places of worship, hospitals?
Would they destroy all sources of food and prevent any more food from being imported, artificially inducing the largest percentage (100%) of food scarcity we’ve ever seen?
Would they kill a baby so young he hadn’t been named yet, solely for the crime of being born Palestinian?
Would they kill livestock?
Would they bomb people who said ‘hey we’re just bringing food. This is a is not a combat zone so please don’t kill us’ three times in a row? Even after being told ‘hey you bombed us just now. please don’t do that’
Would they post videos on social media of themselves looting things from the homes they bombed?
Would they strip the civilians of their clothes, holding them at gunpoint?
Would they blow a girl’s legs off, leaving her hanging, half of her body completely gone?
Would they obliterate a child so much that all the child’s mother had left of said kid was blood left on her hands?
Would they kill people going for food? Hiding bombs in cans?
Would they bomb a tent city of refuges?
Like. Maybe SOME of this is propaganda. I don’t claim to be an expert in any relevant field (ie: genocide, international law, international relations, etc.) and the Internet does not, in fact, always share true information.
But I’ve seen some of these things. And I KNOW they can’t ALL be fake. Unless I see convincing proof, I’m assuming they’re ALL true. The image of the girl with her legs blown off haunts me. The video of the woman crying with blood on her hands won’t leave my mind. Many of these things are known to have occurred or to be occurring.
What more does israel have to do for the rest of the world to realize this is fucked up?
This isn’t everything they’ve done!!! This is just what my chronically-amnesiac-ass can think of off the top of my head!

Conflict, Crisis and Response: A Study on How Religion and Ethnic Prejudice Affects Public Opinion

The Israel-Hamas conflict has been clear proof that public response to regional conflict is heavily determined by pre-jew-diced perceptions of religion and ethnicity. Highlighting a contrast between the response to the Russia-Ukraine conflict and the Palestinian genocide, the stark indignation meted out by the masses in reaction to the merciless slaughter of Ukrainians far outweighs the cold reactions of the western “developed” nations to the systematic wipe-out of innocent citizens in the Gaza Strip.
Whereas the attack on Ukraine provoked an immediate and unyielding response by the leader nations and the UN, the clapback towards Israel has been relatively lukewarm. This could also be due to the fact that the Palestinian genocide was prompted by an attack on Israel by the Palestinian militant group, Hamas. The attack provoked an ongoing barrage over the Gaza Strip and West Bank in Palestine. Israeli planes opened heavy bombing upon the area, destroying homes, hospitals, school buildings and places of worship. As of the 22nd of January 2024, the death toll has passed 25,000, most of them women and children. According to the Gaza Health Ministry, over 62,000 have been injured, with most of the population of 2.3 million, displaced from their homes.
The general public response to the strife has been largely tepid. Where the Russia-Ukraine conflict widely incited one-sided sympathies of people far and near, the Israel-Palestine conflict( while it has prompted debates on varied topics) has had populations divided in their stance. This could largely be attributed to the history of displacement and discrimination against Jewish populations, as well as the islamophobia and internal bias against arab ethnicities that runs rampant in society to this day and age.
The UN and leading nation states have been staunchly extending support to Israel, emphasising its right to defend itself. The reporter questions the dialectic behind destroying hospitals and schools and keeping some 5,200 war hostages, which seems to be conveniently ignored by a majority of the nation states. The International Court of Justice did not order a ceasefire or suspension of the Israeli attacks, rather, instructing it to “take measures within its power to prevent genocidal acts against Palestinians.”
The United States, Australia, Canada, Italy, Germany, Finland, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and Scotland have halted funding to the the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) after Israel alleged that some of its employees were involved in the October 7th attack. This move has been heavily condemned by top Palestinian officials and Hamas. Contrarily, Ukraine was flooded by support and military aiding in its fight against Russian invasion. One could think of the possible reasons behind this disparity, in which islamophobia and ethnicity may or may not be deciding factors. The reporter leaves the readers to make their own conclusion.
Be it citizens of Ukraine, Palestine or any other nation, every individual deserves to live in the absence of threat of impending doom. Every individual deserves access to basic amenities, and every individual deserves the rights to freedom. The reporter hopes that UN committees work to draft and pass resolutions that equally benefit all sections and races of society, impossible as it may seem.

we should no longer entertain the argument that hamas is a terrorist organisation at all as a viable point, israel is a terrorist organisation, israel steals children from their parents, israel rapes and murders civilians, israel captures and tortures hostages, israel bombs civilian infrastructure, hospitals, schools and places of worship, israel guns down livestock to manufacture famines, israel runs fear campaigns to emotionally terrorise its victims, israel burns babies to the bone with white phosphorous, israel talks of razing its enemies to the ground and leaving no survivors, israel blocks foreign aid from reaching civilians, israel hunts down journalists and their whole families, israel mocks those they brutally murdered to besmirch their legacies, israel lies through its teeth about its enemies to stir hatred, israel has been doing all this and more since the very moment it was founded and hasn't stopped since 1948
when they were eventually released during a ceasefire hamas had been begging for for ages despite israel's adamant refusal, the so called "hostages" that had been held by hamas remarked to the press about how humanely they were treated, even in the harsh conditions of a gaza under israeli assault, meanwhile israel was bombarding and massacring anything that moved within gaza, not bothering to try to spare those "hostages" from their attacks
israel are the real terrorists, hamas are more humane than most western "democracies" and the fascists are getting away with defending a fucking ethnic cleansing and a genocide because those arguing in good faith keep conceding on a point that frankly isn't relevant
we shouldn't have to verbally condemn hamas for our point to stand, because israel is significantly worse, everything hamas has done that's bad israel has done a thousandfold, it should be pretty fucking obvious that we're anti-terrorism on account of we're condemning the terrorists who did way more terrorism, trying to argue about the wrongdoings of hamas in this conversation is like trying to argue a man deserves to be publicly executed for robbing a convenience store with counterfeit money, you'd have to be a fucking lunatic to ask people protesting that if they condemn the executed for stealing, this isn't about hamas, this is about the fucking genocide, israel is literally on a mission to eradicate the palestinian people entirely and we're here missing the forest for the fucking trees, if you really condemn terrorism you condemn israel
