EntomologieS/5  Sergemouilla luminas luminae (collage & encre de Chine)
https://www.serge-mouille.com/

29. Any collections?
He became a parent when he was still a kid himself, and ever since, he's never had a youngest kid older than eleven. He also never achieved a great level of employment, bombing out of college after missing half of high school. (Whether his partner is Chad or Grimmjow is a matter of thread, but though intelligent, neither seem especially ripe to become a CEO of a financial advisory firm) He's not exactly impoverished, but there are places his money is better spent than on accumulating records, books, or both. So his collections aren't exactly sprawling (like mine are)
That being said, he does hold onto things. He has a yellowed, fabric hardcover bound thick tome of Shakespeare's plays, a few hardcover Murakami anthologies, and a few older hardbound printings of some late Meiji era literature like Boucchan.
His music collection is also pretty eclectic, what he actually has, and spans the gamut from minidiscs of Dragon Ash to cassettes of Yanagi George and Pearl Jam to his mother's old LPs of bands like The Spiders, early Marvin Gaye, and The Four Leaves. He doesn't get much time to listen or read, be it dealing with the random hollow or Issin being an overindulgent grandfather and giving one of the kids free reign over way too much candy, so there's definitely time to collect dust, and his daily music exposure is just the radio, his daily reading just the news, but they're there, when he has the rare time.

Strawberry Path
When The Raven Has To Come To The Earth
@ 1971 Germany Pressing
****
Like most of the so-called heavy Japanese bands of the period, Strawberry Path was in actuality anything but. Generally, their catholic sound is eclectic and overwrought, with arrangements being of the everything-including-the-kitchen-sink variety.
Music freaks claim songs such as ‘Leave Me, Woman’, ‘Woman Called Yellow Z’ and ‘I Gotta See My Gypsy Woman’ as evidence of the band’s good intentions, but the band’s deft performances of such daft AOR drool as ‘Mary Jane On My Mind’ and Marmalade/Hollies soundalike ‘The Second Fate’ suggests their hearts were more naturally in this non-headspace.
The band was really a duo with help from occasional bassists Hisashi Eto and former Powerhouse bassist George Yanagi, the latter also contributing a lead vocal, as he did for the Shinki Chen solo LP.
Strawberry Path would eventually mutate into the equally poor Flied Egg (great band name, at least!). Drummer Hiro Tsunoda would thereafter throw in the towel completely, going for total sub-sub-Peters & Lee meltdown with his agonisingly bad solo LP MARY JANE, a 1977 barrel-scraper featuring all of his previous crimes against rock, plus an unashamed copy of Zeppelin’s ‘Stairway To Heaven’ done in a Danish Eurovision style. Although Strawberry Path’s original Philips LP sleeve names the record WHEN THE RAVEN HAS COME DOWN TO EARTH, it is occasionally listed under the Japanese title OHTORI GA CHIKYU NI YATTEKITAHI (review by Julian Cope).
