Some random pics from various BF recordings I came across amongst my photos. The Shada ones I scanned from DWM myself and I assume the others (with the exception of the last two) are from the same source. Bottom right is a screengrab from the photos section of the Daphne Ashbrook in the UK DVD.

*reads divided loyalties* I see your headcanons, Gary Russell, I simply choose to ignore them. Actually no one has regenerated and they all like Mortimus really and Millenia doesn't have long hair and Theta hasn't chosen the name Doctor yet and he and Kos are more than freinds and-

Covers Revealed for the Target Novelisations of Doctor Who's 60th Anniversary Specials
Covers Revealed for the Target Novelisations of #DoctorWho's 60th Anniversary Specials
The covers for the three upcoming Target novelisations of the Doctor Who 60th anniversary specials have been released, and though they don’t spoil anything from the plots or tell us too much about what each Fourteenth Doctor adventures has in store for us, they are nonetheless gorgeous. These covers have original art by Anthony Dry, who uses the pointillism technique to evoke the work of Chris…

The Gary Russell double feature comes to a close, as we shift our focus away from the venerable Professor Bernice Summerfield towards one Jason Peter Kane, and welcome Chris Cwej back to the fold in Deadfall.
(Yes, this is the most obvious subtitle I've ever done, why do you ask?)

My Favourite era of Big Finish is Gary Russell and the creative direction he took the stories in. He let the writers have creative control and not be restricted. He understood character development and what the fans and the actors wanted as he is a huge fan himself who knows these characters inside and out, and he gave us a beautiful balance of angst and stories that just sit with you forever.
He had passion, he had drive and he knew where to take these spin-offs. He also had a good balance of single audio adventures and boxsets and knew when a story needed an arc and when one didn't.
I don't think Big Finish has ever been the same since Gary Russell left, and I understand why he left when he did. I still do enjoy big finish, but the drive and passion haven't been the same and the quality of stories has dropped in my personal opinion.
This is a Gary Russell appreciation post basically.

Mark Magsayo vs Gary Russell, Jr. - January 22, 2022
Mark Magsayo (24-1, 16 KOs) had one of the more surprising wins of 2022 when he took the WBC featherweight title off of longtime champ Gary Russell Jr. Sadly, it was a short reign for Magsayo as he immediately dropped it to Rey Vargas. Still, that was a big win for Magsayo who is hoping for another shot at the WBC championship.
The Filipino boxer will face off against  Brandon Figueroa (23-1-1, 18 KOs) for the interim WBC featherweight title this Saturday (March 4) in what should be a barn-burner of a fight.
