Idk why but I REALLY like the GR75 transport ship.
It reminds me of ferry ships and cargo ships.
Maybe that’s the idea? Idk.

Visited a french con last weekend (OctoGones) to participate in the Grand Championship in Armada. Despite not speaking french an enjoyable and impressive experience.
Some fantasy terrain (terrain from https://tabletop-world.com ):

Back to Armada: I‘ve played my old Continental Championship fleet, with some minor alterations; I had no great hopes for the tournament; however, french meta favored lists that capitalised on player two, with very high bids (around 20), which allowed my to farm victory points.

Pictured above: first game; the ISD tried to block my MC75 and failed; I proceeded to dismantle his squadrons and score a 6:5 (didn‘t use Ackbar against the ISD; was probably a mistake, but I decided his squads were a bigger issue with Maarek on the field, so I focussed on Anti-Fighter barrages). He played a good game, dismantling my VCX almost from the get go.

Pictured above: second game. A Raddus/Liberty drop list almost the same as the one I trained against. As such I knew the correct counter maneuver (hide in a corner, turn to broadsides). Still, my MC80 barely managed to get out. Nevertheless, I downed his Liberty, netting me an 8:3.
The third game was against an SSD; I played dirty, sacrificed my MC75 and GR75, and simply strategicked the Fire Lane Tokens under his SSD. I‘ve scored a total of 13 Tokens and destroyed a Raider, wheras my opponent could score only 4, leading to a close victory for me despite losing 2 out of three ships.
I was among the top four at this point, and played for the cut. I did, however, lose my 4th game very close; unfortunately I lost Ackbar‘s MC80 to a Gladiator-heavy fleet, and could only scrounge up a 5:6 - thanks to Sensor Net tokens.
Summary: I‘ve played Sensor Net so much this weekend. 3/4 games were Sensor Net, so adding the Fighter Coordination Team to the MC80 paid off big time. Apart from that it was a really nice weekend, fun games, and good sportsmanship all around.

Large 1,048 ft to 2,344 ft diameter asteroid passing Earth
Today the large asteroid ‘(2010 GR75)’ is zipping past Earth, thankfully missing by 40,516,064 miles.
The first time this asteroid (with the catchy name ‘(2010 GR75)’) was observed was on Apr 13, 2010. Since 1905 it has passed Earth 48 times and we can expect it to return sixty-six more times within the next 100 years.
