Malai Luella has always been a scientist, has always been around scientists; her mother was once, before she passed, and she was beautiful and wise but thoughtful more than affectionate. The fuckers she has to placate and balance ( or kill ) would break him apart to get to her or try to make other use of the very strange kine. They'd fail, because his monsters ( herself included ) keep him safe. But her fragile love has suffered enough without pain from her or her kind to follow.

She kisses him again, this time on the mouth, this time as a promise. Luella has always been a scientist, and intellectuals often struggle to show their care. But none have ever wanted her the way Min - chul does, none have ever said it half as plain. It only seems right that she returns the favor. "I'll be back in two hours, if all goes well, and missing you every moment 'til then. If you're patient, I'll reward you." Her smile sharpens playfully. "I probably will, even if you're not."
