This is a harmful stereotype because of its context and Cardassians don't fit that context#They don't secretly control things. Ay best you could argue the deep cover agents thing is sketchy but it's a one and done episode concept#And the general trope of advanced scifi surgery to go undercover as aliens is used throughout Trek way more often. We have human#Heroic characters do it quite a few times
