#cipher talk#Focusing on Alpha Canon because Beta Canon goes in a lot of different directions to my understanding#But further on my point on that post: the only Cardassian that actually fits the standards of Jewish coding is Garak who is a Freak#He's effeminate he's a tailor he lies he's an exile with loyalty to another state etc. This is part of why I don't think Hebitians = Jewish#Every other Cardassian man is incredibly macho and most of them are affiliated with the military#Which was a very good choice because it strongly seperates them from antisemitic stereotypes#And is also why seeing that ask directed to RHW annoyed me so much#Another thing is that like. This is a harmful stereotype because of its context and Cardassians don't fit that context#They don't secretly control things.
