「大妹,呢本書呢原來好多料爆㗎!」
“Dai-mui*, this magazine actually has so much juicy gossip!”
*Dai-mui is not actually her name, more a nickname used within (the character's) family.
Tumblr media
「嗰個李吸塵*呀原來同佢女朋友同居咗三年㗎嘞!」
“That Vacuum* Lee has actually been cohabiting with his girlfriend for 3 years already!”
* 李吸塵 (pron. Lei⁵ Kap¹ Can⁴ — 李 can sound like 你 nei⁵, meaning “you”, and 吸塵 means “suck dust”, so this joke name means, “you suck dust”) is a pun on singer/actor Hacken Lee's Chinese name 李克勤 (pron. Lei⁵ Hak¹ Kan⁴).
The actual spoken dialogue was on point but the subs actually got the pun wrong! orz 😹 吸 should've been used in place of 克 for the joke to have been effective in Cantonese!

「仲有呀,嗰個撈麵*呀一氣買五疊樓呀!」
“And that Lo Mein*, buying 5 properties in one go!”
* 撈麵 (pron. Lo¹/Lo⁴ Min⁶ — a type of Chinese noodle dish, more commonly known to Westerners/globally as Lo-mein) is a pun on actor Lo Mang's name, 羅莽 (pron. Lo⁴ Mong⁵).
Tumblr media
「仲有嗰個郭小人*呀住喺佢哋樓下呀嘛!」
“And that Petty Kwok* is living in the same apartment block as them both right?!”
* 郭小人 (pron. Kwok³ Siu² Jan⁴ — 小人, which literally means “small person” can mean an “ungracious and petty person”) is a pun on actress Florence Kwok's Chinese name 郭少芸 (pron. Kwok³ Siu² Wan⁴).

[TASK 025: MUSIC] 🎵🎶
Singers! Instrumentalists! Bands! Lyrics! Videos! Below is a masterlist compiled of over 270+ faceclaims related to music categorised by gender with their ethnicity denoted if there was a reliable source. If you want want an extra challenge use random.org to pick a random number! Of course everything listed below are just suggestions and you can pick whichever character or whichever project you desire.
Any questions can be sent here and all tutorials have been linked below the cut for ease of access! REMEMBER to tag your resources with #TASKSWEEKLY and we will reblog them onto the main! This task can be tagged with whatever you want but if you want us to see it please be sure that our tag is the first five tags!
THE TASK
STEP 1: Decide on a FC or idea you wish to create resources for! You can always do more than one but who are you starting with? There are links to masterlists you can use in order to find them and if you want help, just send us a message and we can pick one for you at random!
STEP 2: Pick what you want to create! You can obviously do more than one thing, but what do you want to start off with? Screencaps, RP icons, GIF packs, masterlists, PNG’s, fancasts, alternative FC’s - LITERALLY anything you desire!
STEP 3: Look back on tasks that we have created previously for tutorials on the thing you are creating, unless you have whatever it is you are doing mastered - then of course feel free to just get on and do it. :)
STEP 4: Upload and tag with #TASKSWEEKLY! If you didn’t use your own screencaps/images make sure to credit where you got them from as we will not reblog packs which do not credit caps or original gifs from the original maker.
SOME ADVICE FROM US:

Tencent shares jump 3 percent after Chinese regulators approve new games

HONG KONG (Reuters) – Tencent Holdings Ltd saw its shares jump more than 3 percent on Friday as investors cheered Chinese regulators’ approval of mobile games published by the industry leader for the first time since a freeze on approvals imposed in March.
The State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television on Thursday approved 95 games in its fourth list since December, with two mobile games from Tencent and a first from NetEase Inc.
Tencent, Asia’s biggest listed firm by market value, has been reeling from increased scrutiny of online gaming amid calls to tackle child addiction in the world’s largest gaming market.
Shares of the firm have lost roughly 20 percent of their market value since March. They were up as much as 3.2 percent early on Friday, beating a 1.3 percent rise in the benchmark Hang Seng Index and a 2.7 percent gain in Hang Seng sub-index tracking information technology firms.
China started resuming gaming approvals in December, though Tencent’s games had been absent from the three batches approved until Thursday, unnerving investors.
The impact of online games on the country’s youth has attracted scrutiny from Chinese President Xi Jinping, who last year urged all levels of government to implement effective schemes to prevent and treat the high incidence of myopia that authorities suspect is linked to game addiction.
China’s largest gaming and social media firm has imposed a playtime restriction since July, allowing a maximum of one hour a day for children 12 years old and under, and a maximum of two hours for those aged 13 to 18.
Founded in 1998, Shenzhen-based Tencent enjoyed uninterrupted growth from when it went public in 2004 until last year when it saw more than $200 billion wiped off its market value from a peak hit in January.
Last week, Tencent released a test version of a third-party developed smartphone game in China based on U.S. hit television show Games of Thrones, bolstering its pipeline.

How to deal with a nutjob (pt. 1 of 4)
TW: Stalking
Disclaimer: This is an entirely fictitious scenario. Dealing with people like that in real life is strongly not advisable!
Having been a victim of a manipulative, obsessive and delusional person online before, it is definitely not funny nor easy to deal with such people, possibly even dangerous if it takes place offline!
But, if you have been a victim of similar circumstances and not let the awful experience traumatise you enough to mar your sense of humour, read on!
