Anybody else desperately want the story behind how Fletcher knows Ray. Like if they didn’t have a history then how does Ray know about the scotch Fletcher loves or how he can’t turn down barbecue. Why does Ray detest him so fucking much and yet still comply to certain requests he makes? Why does fletcher know how to get into Ray’s house? Why does fletcher know where the fucking bathroom is without being told? These could possibly be chalked up to fletcher knowing how to stalk people and Ray having to gather info on people often. But I just feel like there’s this weird pull between them. Like some sort of intimacy that’s been dead for years but shows it’s head in tiny moments of fondness or amusement. Not to mention, I have this strange feeling that Fletcher hasn’t always been the fletcher we meet in the film. Like something really fucking bad happened between them and it fucked both of them up in different ways. I want a whole fic about it. I have a backstory in my head about the whole thing but I just don’t feel like I could write it and do it justice.
