I love careless imperfections in art.
People always praise the perfections and fear the imperfections in their works, and i'm not going to say i don't completely fear imperfections in my works either;
However honestly, the happy and the unlucky accidents in art feel so special to me. The accidental dots that should've been removed, the wonky-choppy lines, wrong colors, rushed anatomy, an area left over/undershaded, forgetting to erase an additional pair of hands from a finished artwork.
It can be jarring, it can be beautiful, but it always feels lived, and that is so wonderful. Even if you got to erase an entire pair of extra hands after you already posted the artwork online.

i know i just sung a lot of praise about ibis paint in my last post but also looking back its hilarious that babby bri thought it was the best program ever despite not even having the ability to zoom in and rotate the canvas at the same time
#and i mean. to be fair. the thing i used before that was youdoodle. having more than 2 layers was more than enough of an upgrade#i actually checked back into youdoodle recently to see how it was doing! it is. exactly the same as i remember it. aint that nice#anyway i used that old ipad basically up until it had fully kicked the bucket. it had REALLY been put through the wringer#it had shatters on the sides so bad theyd cut your finger to touch. i covered them with tape to deal with them AHAHA#i remember just thinking it was fine because it was on the sides#not on the screen you actually touch#anyway. naturally i am an adult now and know how to take better care of my things so adult bri ipad has a screen protector#and is also not. being constantly dropped onto concrete ( we used to live in a house with a basement that didnt have carpeting)#but naturally i plan to also use my current ipad until it kicks the bucket too#bri talks

Could I perhaps request something with Sun using the global warming palette from the unusual colors thing? 👀
This palette was surprisingly workable!
I didn't have a lot of ideas for the green (wouldn't want to overuse something so gosh dang bright), but the rest of the colors lended themselves well to these two

Decided to put my parents' new steam cleaner to good use and Deep Clean my room for the first time in probably 15-20 years and uhhh YIKES
#too bad the urge to Organize will have deserted me by the time its fully dry bc my real goal was going through my closet#yeah *could've* just spot cleaned where Milo peed but this was an opportunity#Ive never liked the carpet in that room but I didn't realize it had THAT much dust in it despite how often I try to vacuum#I was more thorough than when I vacuum but now I kinda wish Id pulled out all my furniture too (unrealistic)#so thanks to my geriatric dog for the inspiration I guess

I signed up for a mentorship scheme back when I still had some hope in my heart, and today I had a call with my mentor and needed to share my screen and I completely forgot I had a tab open on LinkedIn job postings
#and if “I don't want to stay in this team” wasn't clear enough.#also actually my boss asked me if I want to switch to another team. the role that I interviewed for ages ago#which rendered that call with the mentor a bit pointless#I don't fully trust that it's happening yet. I just said yes sure I want to switch#bc our team is horrendous#I also told my colleague -- the one who's also desperate to leave#who also wanted to move to this other team (but she knew I had applied too)#its a long story. anyway she took it bad#like really bad. like “I'm resigning on monday!!” bad#and perhaps I shouldn't have told her but she asked me what the meeting was about#and idk I didn't even think not to tell her?#I mean if its really happening she will find out soon enough#but just this morning I was complaining to her about this weird meeting with our boss#and how it was probably gonna be about some stupid new project I didnt want to do#but that I had no idea what it was gonna be about and so on. so obviously she asked about it#and it would've been weird to brush it under the carpet#she literally said 'what if its about changing teams??' and I was like 'lol yeah as if'#I genuinely didn't think it would be#but she suspected it so. her reaction was even worse than expected#I don't feel excited or anything I just feel stressed and guilty now#I don't even care about the new stupid team!!#I just want to leave ours#uuggggh#corporate drama#*
