#FANTASTIC. OP YOUR EDITS ARE ALWAYS SO FUN

✨ can i.... do i... yeah.... SLCKSKLD ive always been curious abt this cause u say how all my works are ur favourite ):< i am not worthy of such a compliment
OKAY WOO!! cmere. cmere and let me fight say nice things about your work. i know i always say that... everything you make is my favorite so. i’m going to pick my MOST favorite favorites, but keep in mind. they’re all my favorite. just in general, you have just a fantastic eye for design! i know you favor neutral and earth tones but when you venture out you do a great job with palettes that pop without like. making your eyes burn. and you are GREAT with fonts. literally cannot wait to see what you make in the future really!!!
hmm.... this is gonna go under the cut. in no particular order!!
1. okay okay so. i might be fond of this because it was the first piece of Wootent(TM) i saw BUT. i really love all the little details and easter eggs you slipped into your netflix edit! like really all the details... insane. i know i mentioned i noticed how you hid your handle and integrated it into the edit and i was like... op is CLEVER. a THINKER. ;aldskfjldksfj. not to mention i was sooo delighted by the fact that you incorporated both video and still graphics into the post. like why don’t we do that more? we should do that more. i actually hate video work so i won’t be doing that. but. in general. if people like video they should do it more. it was really the way i was like. help i want this netflix show so badly.
2. i know you!!! said you were fighting every step of the way with this one aslkdfjalsdjf but i loved your top kpop songs of 2021 so far set. it was really fun and creative and you colored the gifs beautifully. the spinning records were so cute and again i loved the overall layout of each song.
3. a;sdkfjls;ldkf i only have three slots left help!!! okay okay so. gyugle! it was just SUCH a cute idea to begin with. and then you really. worked so hard on every little detail!! the neutral color palette... the icons... all of the motion graphic elements... all of the emails, the file names, the sidebar.... INSANE. i literally could NEVER i bow down in awe at your patience etc. and i’m still sobbing about how cute the bear ears are.......
4. moarevival ul:kin yeonjun. obviously. the 3d rendering, insanely cool. as i said. i could never!! it looks so good too ahhhh. so skill level to achieve all of this aside, this one is a personal favorite because this is an aesthetic i tend to favor! the neutrals and blacks are delicious.... really.... and every single panel is perfect on its own, and then altogether it’s so harmonious and pleasing to the eye. like literally when you dropped this i spent. so much time staring at each individual panel and then all of it together and i’m still so so so impressed by it! (my favorite panel is probably! the second one...... loved the transition from the abstract shapes to those photos of yeonjun split across the circle. also typeface-wise, great choice as always + i love an outline font. very ~editorial~ feeling like really i could keep this talking about this one but i’ll spare you!!!
5. YELLOW CAB X YEONJUN!!!!! really really i looooved this one so much. first of all. fight teaser...... lives rent free in my head it’s really my favorite of the two concepts like theeee way it made me feel..... and then you slapped that together with yellow cab?? the taste... the taste. i loved the colors and how well you integrated the aesthetic of yellow cab throughout each panel AND i loved the way certain graphic elements were split across images too! makes it flow so well. i adored every single element you clipped gifs into but the microsoft paint window ESPECIALLY. the overall look of this was so killer you have such a great eye for balance and for being intentional about every part of your graphics. i never ever feel like you slap something on just for the sake of it, everything you add has a reason and that’s like. THE key to good graphic design. every decision with a purpose. you’re so so good already <3 and you’re just going to get better <3 i mean it when i say you are one of the most creative designers i’ve come across and literally in grad school. evaluating art directors was. one of my jobs a;dslkfjsdlkffak so!!!
bestie i’m so sorry that was so long. <3 but. wootent fan blog first txt blog second!!! mwah ily keep up the amazing work, you KNOW i’ll be hyping you up!!

Undescribed fanart of Melanie King from the Magnus Archives creates a particular kind of brain fission for me because she’s not just a blind character, she’s a blind podcast character, which means she is a blind character on a piece of media that is intrinsically accessible to blind people, and so the choice to create art about her that excludes blind people is....Like. I understand that people have limited awareness of image descriptions as a concern, and that people’s intent is not “I will personally take the time to create a wall around this character that didn’t exist before that keeps out everybody like her.” But that is the effect.
Edit: Okay I’m back with resources on why and how you should describe either your own art or art that you reblog! And by “I’m back with resources” I mean that I went on keplercryptids’ blog and found their resource compilation post and I am linking that here:
All about image descriptions, from keplercryptids. (contains links to posts with more links. have fun clicking around.)
And here is a link to the People’s Accessibility discord server, where you can ask volunteers to describe things for you if you find description daunting. Or you can volunteer to describe things! (Disclaimer: I am not on this server. I am still just regurgitating resources from keplercryptids.)
Also (you’ll find this if you click thru enough on keplercryptids’  masterpost) this is a straightforward How-To post that I found particularly helpful.
More thoughts from me under the cut, which are less important than clicking on the links above.
I am not giving you advice on how to write a description; you’ll find way better advice than I can give at the “All about image descriptions” link (it’s the same one as above). But I have two thoughts on building a practice of describing images.
One: It gets easier with practice. You learn to spot the details that need to go in a description and you learn how to quickly describe them. It helped me to start with a smaller subset of things that I made a practice of always describing. I started by saying “I’m going to describe anything that touches on disabled issues, and images of disabled people.” I’ve seen other people start with “I’m going to describe anything I originally post.” This is a stepping stone, not an endpoint. You can build up a practice, from there, where you’re eventually describing everything that goes on your blog, and your blog is a space where disabled people can freely exist.
Two: I think a barrier for many people is that it’s stressful to describe someone else’s art—what if they don’t like your description?
But it is always necessary to provide access to disabled people. It’s always better to describe an image than to leave that image inaccessible, even if you’re afraid you’ve done a bad job. I often add in the tags or in the post, “OP let me know if you want anything changed.” That  means if the OP has any interest in controlling how their image is described, they have the power to exert that control. And the best way for an artist make sure their image is described the way they want is for them to describe their own art.
At the end of the day: Disabled people have the right to experience anything and everything that is in the public sphere. If an artist describes a piece of art themself that’s fantastic. If they don’t, then you have both the right and the obligation to do it for them when you choose to help platform that art in public.
If your concern is specifically about describing race, gender, or body type in a respectful way, I again refer you to keplercryptids’ ID resource post. Keep clicking on the links that the links lead to, eventually almost everything is covered. I found this post particularly helpful.  Pay attention to ID’s you see elsewhere, and what you think is done well or badly. (As far as gender: don’t specify gender in an ID unless you know you are correct.)

New Detective on the Block
a.k.a new series regular wishlist
Sadly, it seems like we're really not going to have Detective Ahn come back. With Seunggi not being part of the regular cast either, we're left with just six members.
Six isn't bad given that Kwangsoo won't leave us again. 2 Days 1 Night, for one, functions well with six.
Still, seven is just the special number. It just seems more complete, stronger. Plus, Cho PD and Myuk PD really did wonders with seven cast members when they were in charge of Running Man.
So, below is a list of South Korean stars who I think might do well as the new member and one of K's detectives.
Song Jihyo
Tumblr media
age: 37 [August 15, 1981]
variety experience: 12 YEARS
• Family Outing, 2008 (guest)
• Running Man, 2010-present (regular cast member)
• Pajama Friends, 2018-2019 (regular cast member)
why she would make for a good cast member:
• Two of the PDs are familiar with her since they've worked together during their Running Man days. (Also: she seems to be good friends with Myuk PD's family!) It'd be an easy transition for them.
• Jaesuk and Kwangsoo had worked with her for years, and she can bring their dynamics into the show.
• Both Sehun and Sejeong have worked with her before as well. She might be a good mentor for the two of them! I think she would take Sejeong under her wings wholeheartedly, and she would be a good noona to Sehun. She will take good care of them should she join the cast.
• This is a bit selfish, but I really am curious how she and Jongmin will interact. I think that's a legendary brOTP just waiting to happen.
• Because of her experience, not only can she roll with the punches of this new format, she can also be counted on to bring more of the variety flavor that can truly enrich the show.
• Jihyo apparently graduated with an accounting major, which means she might be able to help with the math puzzles!
potential downside:
× The team might become too OP (overpowered). Jihyo's instincts are impeccable; it's very rare that she won't win a game. Add that to the speed, wit, intelligence, and sharp observation skills of the other members, we're looking at a very formidable team of detectives (albeit clumsy and goofy still).
× It's possible that she would overshadow Minyoung a bit - a bit - for a couple of reasons.
Cha Taehyun
Tumblr media
age: 44 [March 25, 1976]
variety experience: 21 YEARS (!!)
• Family Camp, 1998 (host)
• Happy Saturday, 1998 (host)
• Campus Song Festival, 2002-2003 (host)
• MNet KM Music Festival, 2000-2001, 2003 (host)
• 2 Days 1 Night, 2012-2019 (regular cast member)
• Dragon Club, 2017 (regular cast member)
• Radio Star, 2018-2019 (host)
• Where on Earth?, 2018 (regular cast member)
• Seoul Bumpkin, ???
why he would make for a good cast member:
• I mean, look at the man's experience in the field of variety shows.
• He and Jongmin are good friends. They've worked with each other for years also in 2 Days 1 Night. They've established a good relationship, which might be nice to see continue again in the show.
• Jaesuk has met him before when he visited RM. The only thing is that they're both the leader position of their shows (Jaesuk for Running Man, Taehyun for 2 Days 1 Night), but it's not likely that they'll clash. Taehyun works well with other people, and he's not one to hog the spotlight.
It actually might be very interesting to see him and Jaesuk work with each other.
• He's friends with Kwangsoo in real life, too.
• Like all of the people in this list, he's an actor. It's the position that Jaewook is leaving behind. Our seven is made up for three variety veterans (JS, JM, and KS), two actors (JW and MY), and two singer-actors (SH and SJ).
Taehyun can fill in the open spot nicely.
potential downside:
× Though he seems to have been forgiven by many, the "gambling" scandal still follows him a bit. I've got a feeling that it won't be such a big deal for the western audience (and maybe even for some of the eastern audience), but you know. At the end of the day, South Korean viewers seem to be more important to k-variety showrunners than the rest of us are.
I really, REALLY want Taehyun to be considered as Jaewook's replacement, but if the SK people say something about it, chances are he'll get passes over.
Joo Sangwook
Tumblr media
age: 41 [July 18, 1978]
variety experience: ~2 YEARS
• Qualifications of Men, 2012-2013 (regular cast member)
• Running Man, 2012, 2013/14? (guest)
• Infinite Challenge, 2015 (guest)
• The Fishermen and the Village, 2019, 2020 (guest)
why he would make for a good cast member:
• Though Sangwook is a phenomenal actor, he doesn't seem to be the kind to shy away from doing variety shows. When he's on one, he does the job with passion. He also doesn't neglect having a good time.
• Have you heard him laugh? It's fantastic. It makes you laugh, too. It can be his signature should he become a Project D detective.
• He has a goofy side to him that I think would be fun to see again.
potential downside:
× He might be too bright a star for the show. While he could be fun, he could overshadow everyone else in the team.
× He might not gel well with others. He works pretty okay with Jaesuk and Kwangsoo, but with the rest... It might get very awkward.
× Very busy man.
Park Boyoung
Tumblr media
age: 30 [February 12, 1990]
variety experience: 13 YEARS
** there are so many guest appearances throughout the years in both TV and radio, so let's just consider some relevant ones **
• Law of the Jungle, 2013 (cast member)
• 2 Days 1 Night, 2015 (guest)
• Running Man, 2012, '14, '16, '17, '18(?) (guest)
why she would make for a good cast member:
• First off, yes - she's currently on a hiatus right now because she needs rest due to the surgery she had. BUT, Season 4, should we have one, won't really be in the works 'til, what, maybe late 2021? She'll have plenty of time to recover.
• Boyoung is so bubbly! And she's so energetic. She puts her heart into the things she does. I know that we kind of risk having two Sejeongs in the team, but look - Sejeong is absolutely fun, okay? It'd be nice if she can have someone who can share her same enthusiasm for the games and the cases.
• She's worked with Jaesuk, Jongmin, and Kwangsoo before, so it won't be super awkward.
• Okay, full disclosure: I also kind of want her in the team because she's one of Kwangsoo's best friends in real life. Their dynamic would be absolutely fun to watch because they're not very shy about teasing each other.
• Like Kwangsoo, she seems to be one of Netflix's favorites also. It'd be nice if she'd be in their original variety show, too.
potential downside:
× Nothing, really. She seems so sweet, and her fans seem like they're (mostly) understanding and supportive of her endeavors.
Maybe the only thing to watch out for are the opinionated internet trolls who always feel like they should have a say on what these people do with their lives and their careers 🙄
Lee Yuri
Tumblr media
age: 40 [January 28, 1980]
variety experience: ~8 YEARS
• Food Essay, 2012 (host)
• Bright Solutionists, 2013 (host)
• Quiz to Change the World, 2014-2015 (host)
• Single Wife, 2017-2018 (cast member)
• Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-staurant, 2020 (cast member)
why she would make for a good cast member:
• Don't let Yuri's pretty face, pretty hair, and pretty clothes fool you. She's not one of your typical South Korean actresses who's very conscious of how she looks even in the sometimes downright dirty and unglamorous arena of k-variety shows. As she's proven through a guest star gig in Running Man, if she needs to wade and jump through the mud to play the game, she will.
To her, what's important is getting the job done and winning the game. Looking good comes second to victory.
• Speaking of, she's pretty competitive. I think she and Sehun can really amp the team up and get them going faster during the different cases. Plus, she might be great to have around when they're going against the Genius Detective Team ('cause let's be honest: errbody know they'll be coming back).
potential downside:
× I can't get a proper gauge on how she would feel with a project like this. The potential con might be that we're not sure she'd stay on as a regular cast member.
• • •
These are the ones on the list for now. Will edit more later if I find more.
For the meantime, do you have specific SK actors you think would be perfect in the team?

hi babe, hope you slept well.. ♥️
answering on the phone is just *takes screenshots* *opens tumblr app* *switch between screenshots and answering* do you also put on my messages on the laptop and answering with your phone usually, because that’s what i do lmao sjshdks. thank god for technology.
(I LOVE BEING CALLED BRO.. i believe that i would’ve been a dudebro in another life tbh..) there is? i’m not super immersed in the fandom actually so i had no idea, do you have any examples? ofc only if you wanna talk about it i know these topics can sometimes be annoying to think about. also you’re right! ‘don’t like don’t read’ is the law. follow it. i can’t believe how some people have the nerve to talk about what other people do creatively... yikes
you should if you ever find yourself not knowing what to read! i think their fics were some of my first in the fandom and they set the bar so high hehe. dude i love how oikawa just wants to see kageyama burn it’s so funny..... he’s so cocky about it while kageyama’s just his moody self. speaking of; one of my fave fics of yours is the swapping jerseys one!
WTF 😭 BABY POOLS AND POOL FLOATIES..... razor please come back to us please. sidenote but do you also think that his powers are 5 star level? hes soo powerful it’s so odd how he’s only 4 star haha... or maybe it’s just me being biased.
YEAH! THE SAVING SCENE IS SO AHHHHH. god especially if they have dialogue while person a is hurting and person b just spills all their feelings and becomes so erratic and scared and person a is like holy shit you love me.... and after everything is okay there’s still some awkwardness and tension and aaa.... 💢💔
OOO. sadly the ps5 is always out of stock it’s crazy how fast it sold out. but i mean it makes sense it’s arguably the most popular console so.. hopefully they restock soon. last of us is such a fun game! and the second part is ~gay~ which is always a plus. i’m not sure which memes you mean? tell me 👁 HAHA that makes sense actually omg... lumine and aether reunion won’t happen until like two years if the updates keep coming the way they are (STOP THAT WOULD ACTUALLY BE SO FUNNY.... like hello if you want to unlock the rest of the story you either gacha $pin for it or you imagine it yourself love ♥️😗) talking about this makes me wonder what the other worlds might look like....
your followers are just here to witness us planning our co-op date sjsjdkdjskz. speaking of,,, hehe. i have some fantastic news. i’m at ar level 11 right now and co-op unlocks at level 16... i might just reach that tomorrow (today for you) so i’m just saying hehehehehehehehehehehe.... 😏♥️
BOWL CUT. my cutie little baby. also mullet? sounds nice omg you will probably rock that look... 😳 i’m a non mullet supporter but if cluna has a mullet then call me a yeehaw mullet lover i suppose. can’t believe my wife is a cowboy. OMG YEAH IT MUST FEEL SO NICE your head went bzz bzz. how long did it take for them to accept it? and yeah god ikr some people take hair so seriously which is fair but also i’ve never understood it... like it grows out..? wow you really went from a ballet girl to punk rock style huh. i feel like you’re the both sides of the ‘she was a punk she did ballet’ meme.
memo fic is a jealous fic? mmm smells good. I FIGURED jshdjdkhsjs slow songs are just not your forte, huh? rip. langst is the best yet worst thing ever tbh. and YEAH I DO we’re truly 🤝 ok literally mood sometimes it’s just nice to talk about how much you love a character through another character in a fic yk? so what if this 2k fic contains 1k words about how beautiful oikawa looks? it’s what iwa feels <3 (YOU’RE LEARNING!!!!!!! THATS SO EXCITING!! i guess you just have to drive me around, huh?)
oh i’m in love i’m with that fic my girl. and i knew about that spoiler it’s kind of hard to miss it since it’s everywhere skdhdkdhdk... god, that sounds so good thank you for sharing it. pining iwaizumi hajime >>>>>>>> the air i need to exist 🥺
THE DAY IS SO SOON CLUNA, it’s literally here soooo soon holy shit i just can’t wait. i played for almost 6 hours today in a row like an idiot and now i never wanna see hilichurls again in my life but hey, one step closer to my baby. prepare yourself.. 😏
AWWW i had a feeling you’d be a tea person. but omg tea effects your sleep? how late is too late for you to drink it? what’s your favorite flavors? 👁 and i’m addicted to both shdkdhsks. i say addicted bc i literally have 6 cups of tea per day easily and like.. 1 or 2 coffee cups per day. it’s really bad but i can’t stop so.. 🙇🏽‍♀️
COLLEGE BOYFIES CLUNA. COLLEGE BOYFIES WITH DIP DYE HAIR. imagine them doing each other’s make up and nails before going to concerts together. imagine xiao in euphoria kind of make up. holy shit. here’s something for your overwhelmed heart jsdhjshska. xiaoven soulmates girl, no doubt about it. THE EDIT THE EDIT THE EDIT!!!! they just look so beautiful. we need scenes with them like Asap. the edit is based on a fic... notes down.

@demonwrestler boy howdy do i have recs for you! took me a lil while to collect my brain, but here’s some of what i’d consider some of the best ones out there rn:
enhanced inquisitor sliders: get lost for hours, trying to get your character’s scars just right! seriously, the extra customization is great.
i also like this mod for improving makeup, tho it makes certain npcs look a bit wild (lord seeker lucius has got wings for DAYS in my game, lmao). also highly rec sos brows.
hair: where to start! updates in frosty have allowed enterprising modders to do some excellent work recreating sims hairstyles or creating their own. i tend to avoid the fancier looks for suspension of disbelief reasons, but one has to appreciate the skill and variety: hairstyle day, misc hairstyles for frosty, curls for frosty, dark’s curly hair conversions, and anto hairstyles for dai are all incredible work. skaramoosh’s work also still holds up, including sk hair pack and sk qunari mini hair pack. for a few other ones i like, i’d suggest tweaked bun, messy hairs, and the many works of koric.
the main thing to keep in mind when modding hair (and most of these pages include a reminder of this in the description) is that you can only replace each vanilla hair with one mod hair at a time (eg, only one mod that replaces hair 052). they’ll always tell you which hairstyle they’re replacing, you’ve just got to keep track if you’re using multiple at once. also: any npc using the same hair as you will also be changed.
complexions: you probably already grabbed these, but ascendia’s stuff is largely considered the gold standard for complexions. here are frosty ports for her stuff: [1] [2]. shepshy has a nice one here, if you like moles. you may also want to check out work by kittentails and ihuntalone (haven’t tried them myself, since i don’t think my desktop could handle 4k)
somewhat related: there’s a modpack for qunari under the name susi adaar, and it has a makeup file for them that allows for truly fantastic freckles. also, since i’m here and i am incredibly biased in favor of qunari and dwarves, i thought i’d share a few mods that cater to them, bc i have had to do a damn lot of digging thru hf/ef only stuff:
ornamental horns
bigger horns for femqunari
horns of plenty
scion of glory
the carta cut
dwarven skyhold outfit retextures
dwarven finery
and finally custom body models bc give me my broad shoulders and wide dwarven hips back, you cowards
oh, and on that note, if you’d like a more character-specific look than the intro provides, you can try tirnoney’s immersive starting armors or invisible prologue outfit. and there are dozens and dozens of options for pjs and formal wear, so i’ll just drop these here:
dress: wedding dress replacer for frosty, sk’s mesh edit (works with all retexes!), the dress by jacknifelee, the dress but halloween this time, prestige couture, kittentails’ elf dresses and retexes
formal wear: exquisition for frosty, champagne and truffles, sk’s stuff for frosty, decorated formal wear
pjs: libelula (now including dwarves), brocade outfit (now including men), jammas of the kadan
the good news abt wedding dress edits are every texture works on every inquisitor. no worries abt “only for hf and ef,” unlike with pjs. just have to keep in mind you can only have one retex at a time also it really flattens the figure and the mismatch w skintones drives me nuts. or, if you’d like to just wear a vanilla orlesian dress, padme4000 has recently released orlesian dress for the inquisitor.
and, of course, i’d be remiss if i didn’t mention inquisitor wardrobes. i haven’t used it, bc it’s a bundle and i’m concerned abt conflicts, but it has a lot of fun options.
finally, here’s some stuff for flower crowns, bc we deserve it: [1] [2] [3]
gameplay stuff:
this playthru i’ve been using inquisitor from the start, which allows you to use all 3 class specializations from the beginning (in fact, if you’re a mage, your starting abilities become spirit blade and stonefist, which takes some adjusting to...). definitely op, and a lot of fun. i’ve been enjoying finally exploring rift mage so much i might make it my adaar’s canon spec.
jerrybullet has made all kinds of other ability tree mods that make things easier and/or more fun, like removing prerequisites. highly recommend checking out his stuff.
spirit blade nerf revert: bc fuck balance.
i haven’t tried this one by soriyumi, but based on how much i’m enjoying this one of theirs, both are worth mentioning.
necromancy enhanced: haven’t tried it, but i suspect it’s relevant to your interests!
i also recommend going ahead and using someone else’s playthru to unlock the golden nug, bc fuck it. i want the blade of tidarion and i want it now, you know?and everything is easier in tier 4 gear, even if it’s made using tier 1 mats.
which, speaking of, i recommend upgrading a bunch of cool schematics to tier 4 and adding a useful crafting mat shop to redcliffe or even the crossroads. bc i’m all abt fashion and violence.
oh, and this doesn’t really fit in any of my loose categories here, but: party at the winter palace. and sera mod. both by sapphim, both v good. and here is a bundle mod for getting modded content to show up in dlcs (esp useful in the black emporium, obv).
i did say i had a lot of recs, yeah? lmao

I don't know how long these are in the queue, but wow, "infectious outbreak that focuses on characters coping with limited resources while self-isolating from anyone contagious" is hitting awfully close to home right now...
Miranda
1. What did you like about the beginning of the comic? I really liked how it jumped right in. It didn't feel the need to explain the outbreak, the history of it, what the symptoms are, etc. It simply showed a zombie, showed a non zombie, and the stage was set. 2. What has been your favorite moment in the comic (so far)? I think the Vending machine incident and Mikael ust straight up getting naked to take a rain shower. 3. Who is your favorite character? I like Mikael and his personality. He's just very blunt and to the point 4. Which characters do like seeing interact the most? So far there are only two, but their interaction, while simple, says a lot about their personalities and experiences with the outbreak so far. 5. What is something you like about the art? If you have a favorite illustration, please share it! Black and white is usually hard for me to read, but this one does it well. I love Mikael's freckles. 6. What is a theme you like that the comic explores? How people handle crisis 7. What do you like about the comic’s story or overall related content? It's so simple, but even with few words, you can tell a lot about the character's and where they've been and what's brought them to where they are now. 8. Overall, what do you think the comic’s strengths are? Drawing the characters to show without having to tell.(edited)
RebelVampire
@Erin Ptah (BICP | Leif & Thorn) I looked out of curiosity. This was submitted January 13th. So it's a big happy coincidence.
Queenue
Oh man I love Dead City! It was nice to refresh myself on the comic since I last read. I will say, the artist handles black and white beautifully. This is such a great comic with such a limited palette (almost pure b&w with some spinkles of gray). The style reminds me of really great classic American comics, and I dig it a lot. And as an intimate character study of two guys struggling in a post-apocalyptic world, it is fantastic. JP is my fave character as I find him really relatable. Overall, I feel his and Mikael's relationship was well built up and realistic. All of those cute, quiet little moments between them really make this story. One of the major themes that I gather is that humanity endures, even in the face of the apocalypse. The end of life as we know it isn't the end of us, we can still thrive, and even fall in love when the world's falling apart. That's kind of a theme in a lot of zombie media, but Dead City really hits on this. While I kind of wish there were more zombies in the comic (lol), I understand that it's mostly a romance/character-driven story. But, it also tackles the issue of isolation in these types of situations in a really genuine way. You get the feeling that these characters are the "only two people in the world" and that they felt so profoundly alone before they found each other. That's powerful writing.
But it also knows how to use humor and light-hearted character moments to lighten the mood, which I like. I've never seen a piece of media in this genre that wasn't super dark and gritty and that's one of the things I love about this comic. And, I don't know if I can pick a favorite moment, but I do like their whole time spent in the suburban house just lazing about, drinking wine and trying on the previous owners' clothing.
RebelVampire
I like that the beginning of the comic begins kind of typical to a zombie story. Where character A meets character B but then oh no trust issues cause survival of the fittest. And then the story just completely deviates from it in a lot of ways. I really kind of like how it used the tropes to establish the setting quickly, before becoming its own thing. My favorite moment in the comic so far has probably been when Mikael froze and JP had to step up and take action against a zombie. I actually wasn't sure JP had it in him tbh, so for me that was a cool moment of just seeing another side to this character. I also liked seeing confirmation that nah, Mikael has been affected by the scenario and the whole has-it-together vibe isnt entirely accurate. My favorite character is probably JP if not for the fact I see myself in him a bit more just for the fact he never quite feels like he knows what he's doing and is just kind of winging it. Considering there's really only two characters, it's obviously JP and Mikael. Their relationship builds up in a very organic way that feels natural, so it's really enjoyable. As for the art, what I like the most is the attention to detail. Like Mikael's freckles, the fact JP's facial hair grows, etc. Those small things really just kind of give the comic that extra bit of polish that's really nice. As for a theme the comic explores, I think I enjoy most right now the human need for connection. Cause sure Mikael didn't trust JP at first (and possibly vice versa), and yet, are you really going to turn away perhaps one of the few ppl left? I think this story really captures that need for people to have someone else in their life.
As for the story's overall content, what I like the most is just how un-zombie of a zombie apocalypse this is. Sure we see them, but overall they aren't the focus. I also like that the zombies aren't treated as like this OP always have to worry about thing. One line that super sticks with me is Mikael noting the zombies got slower cause they're, ya know, dead and rotting. So I like that there is this hope that maybe it won't be a forever thing. As for the comic's strengths, again, probably the premise where it's a zombie apocalypse but that is so far from the focus it makes it really unique and stand out.
Comic Tea Party
DISCUSSION PROMPTS – PART 2
9. Do you think JP and Mikael’s relationship will be able to last, or will the situation of the apocalypse get the better of them? In what unexpected ways do you think their relationship will be challenged despite the situation?
10. JP and Mikael’s backstories are both decently vague, so what sort of theories do you have surrounding them? Do you think we’re in for a shocking truth bomb that may drive a wedge between the two?
11. Given what we know about the world at the moment, do you think the apocalypse will last forever, or might things get better someday? What do you think will happen if JP and Mikael run into more survivors?
12. What story moment about the harsh realities of survival hit you the hardest? In contrast, what moment about human connection hit you the stronger? All in all, what do you think the comic says about connecting with other people, even in survival situations?
Don’t feel inspired by the prompts? Feel free to discuss anything else that interested you!
RebelVampire
I think JP and Mikael's relationship will last. But, what I think will challenge their relationship is the idea that maybe the apocalypse won't last forever, or things won't always be super dire. Cause I think that forces them to reexamine who they were as people in the past and talk about that a lot more than they do at present. At present I get way more of an impression they're living in the now, so once the past and future can be relevant again, I think that will prompt some interesting discussions. I don't have anything concrete at the moment regarding background theories. However, I do think there's a dark edge to Mikael somewhere in there that will make JP go "I'm not sure if I like that." Given my opinions above and it being mentioned the zombies aren't as fast as they used to be, no. I actually think we're already seeing the signs that as long as humanity can whole themselves up somewhere and implement proper containment procedures, things will get better. As for more survivors, I actually don't forsee that being an issue anytime soon. And if they do meet other survivors, that is when I expect something super bad more zombie apocalypse like will happen cause humans are the most trustworthy bunch in this genre. I think the moment for harsh realities of survival that hit me the strongest was really when they realized they had to move and couldn't stay in one spot forever due to factors beyond their control. It's really hard to leave a place you feel safe, so that hurts the heart that they really didn't have a choice. As for the moment of human connection, it was when the freezing scene happened and Mikael was upset someone he knew was a zombie. Cause I didn't get the impression they were super duper close, and yet that hurt was too real. As for what the comic is saying, I think it's a message about how regardless of situation, we need to feel connected to others - even more so in survival situations.

DISCUSSION PROMPTS – PART 3
13. What are you most looking forward to seeing in regards to the comic?
14. Any final words of encouragement for the comic?
Don’t feel inspired by the prompts? Feel free to discuss anything else that interested you!
jestershark
13: I think seeing JP and MIkael's relationship change and grow over the course of the comic has been a delight so far and I think it's going to continue to be interesting into the future. 14. I wish more people were reading it! It's definitely got all sorts of hooks...
snuffysam (Super Galaxy Knights)
I've loved reading Dead City! I really like how this story feels like... progress? Like a lot of zombie survival stories are about the protagonists slowly falling apart as more of them get picked off, but this felt... hopeful. Like, the two get better at surviving as time goes on. Especially given how JP & Mikael's relationship is such a major part of the story. The fact that they can find love in the zombie apocalypse shows that there is hope for humanity after all.
RebelVampire
I am most looking forward to them dealing with more zombies actually or survivors. Unfortunately, resources are gonna become scarcer as time goes on, so I'm interested to see how they change to deal with that. My final words are that this comic is super unique in its storytelling and, to me at least, is a beautiful story about human connection and how there is always hope even when humanity is struggling

Barkwursts and Kickstarter Info!
Hey everyone!  Got a bunch of stuff to talk about in this post, so let’s get rolling!  If you aren’t already on the discord, I’d recommend joining it by clicking this link.  This is by far the best way to get in touch with me and keep track of development.
Barkwursts
Around 2-3 years ago, during The Fantabulous Game’s development, I announced the existence of Spheredogs.  These dogs would serve a similar purpose to Jinjos, giving Capboy a sausage if he collects them all in a level.  Initially made as a reference to the original Le Fantabulous Game, I’ve decided to change that plan.  After all, the new Spheredog design wasn’t even a sphere, but rather more of a sausage with legs!  So, I present to you:  Barkwursts!
Tumblr media
(left-to-right: Tico, Cosmo, Jim, Goobert, Eyedog)
Barkwursts are the exact same as Spheredogs were in TFG, just with a new name.  Though they aren’t designed as of right now, Spheredogs will be returning as small, kickable, gremlin-esque Spherefriends -- just as they were back in the very first iteration of Le Fantabulous Game.  The Sausage rewards will be doled out by a new character, interested in collecting Barkwursts to help his own Quest for Sausage...
Tumblr media
(fanart by ZackTheNerd)
The first new Capkin design in Fantaria’s history, I present to you: Ecapresu, the Farmer!  Living in Home Sausage, Ecapresu uses Barkwursts to help facilitate his peaceful harvest of Sausages.  To thank Capboy for bringing Barkwursts to him, Ecapresu shares a portion of his harvest with Capboy.  Additionally, Capboy will be able to learn more about his own species from Ecapresu, as well as get information on the Barkwursts that he has brought.
Tumblr media
(kickstarter art by Scandre)
The aspect of Barkwursts that I’m the most excited about, however, is their integration into the Kickstarter.  The Barkwursts you see above are actually created by members on the testing team, hence their fantastically varied designs!  Also named by these testers, these fellas will serve as the five Barkwursts found in Fantaria’s demo level.  On that note, I’d like to move on to talk about the Kickstarter’s stretch goals and reward tiers!
Kickstarter Reward Tiers
Fantaria: The Quest for Sausage is going to have a variety of reward tiers, focusing on digital rewards.  Every tier has its own title in the credits, and your name will be listed alongside all of your creations (if you’re okay with it!) in the credits as well.  I won’t be going into incredible depth on all of them here, but here’s a quick lowdown:
$5: Coolfriend. Have your name put in the credits, and receive a wallpaper pack.  Every further tier has the wallpaper pack as well!
$15: Digital copy of the game on release.
Backerfriend title in credits.
$25: Deluxe copy of the game on release.  In addition to the game, this features the soundtrack and access to (potential, not guaranteed!) DLC released in the future.  Every tier beyond this point also has the deluxe edition of the game.
Deluxe Backerfriend title in credits
$60: Design-a-Spherefriend.  Similar to the build-a-spherefriend tool I released many years ago, design a Spherefriend NPC by choosing color, size, name, and customized headwear.  Also, you can name your spherefriend, pick a combat unit archetype, and write a small dialogue blurb to be translated into Spherespeak!
Designerfriend title in credits.
$120: Design-a-Barkwurst.  With much more freedom than Spherefriend designs, you can have your own Barkwurst design put into the game, along with a name and a bio!  As seen with the example 5 above, Barkwurst designs have a lot of freedom, so this will be your chance to really get creative.
Dogfriend title in credits.
$150: Designer Dogfriend.  Design both a Spherefriend and a Barkwurst!  The next two reward tiers give you these privileges as well.
Designer Dogfriend title in credits.
$300: Design-an-NPC!  This tier will let you get your own unique NPC design into the game, with at least one encounter in one of the games’ levels.  Note that due to the larger universe impact of a proper NPC, some restrictions will apply -- see below.
Deluxe Designerfriend title in credits
$600: Design-a-boss!  This tier will let you design your own unique boss encounter for Capboy and Friendwoman to face, featuring its own unique fighting style, difficulty, arena, personality, and rewards upon defeat!   Note that due to the larger universe impact of a full bossfight, some restrictions will apply -- see below.
Ultimate Designerfriend title in credits.
Kickstarter Reward Limitations
To help make sure Fantaria: tQfS is a cohesive experience that fits my vision, there are some limitations on “design-an-x” reward tiers.  Note that these are guidelines, not hard refusals!  If you have a character that you’re concerned will be affected by these limitations, I want you to reach out to me to talk about it!  I’m always willing to work to find a compromise if you’re interested in seeing your character or design in Fantaria..
I reserve the right to have final say on small tweaks of all backer designs
You must legally own the rights to the characters and/or designs you request!  For example, a direct lift of Mario’s outfit on a Spheredog wouldn’t be okay, but a design which clearly falls under parody would be.  This applies more strictly to the higher tiers (see below).
Spherefriends cannot be made super massive, and their headwear shouldn’t be excessively vulgar or otherwise go counter to Fantaria’s aesthetic (i.e. no hyper realistic textures).
Barkwursts must always have the same silhouette, and make the same SFX as each other, to ensure the player can easily identify them despite the varied designs.
NPCs and Bosses have some further restrictions:
No humans.  Friendwoman is the only human presently in Fantaria’s universe, and this is a very key component of the universe.  If you have a human design that you’d like to see, I’d be thrilled to work with you on creating a variation of it that fits into the universe! (i.e. a capkin or PBot version).
No parodies/memes.  Unlike Spherefriends and Barkwursts, which don’t weigh much on the plot or universe, NPCs/bosses should not blatantly be referencing real-life jokes or personalities.  This does not mean that they all have to be serious, they can be wacky and silly!  Just...no ugandan knuckles parody, or trump parody, or other designs like that.
No characters with explicit and consistent ties to adult material.  It’s totally fine if your character is generally slightly lewd or attractive, but if all they’re associated with is porn (either vanilla or fetish), they won’t be a good fit for Fantaria.
I retain final say on the power level of your character in relation to the cast of Fantaria.  This is mostly to make sure that no characters become more important to the plot and events than pre-existing characters like Capboy and Friendwoman...unless, of course, I think the design can fit into such a role!  Naturally, you still have control over your character’s personality and attitude, and I will run any story events they are involved in by you to make sure you’re satisfied with the way they react.
Kickstarter Stretch Goals
Now that that’s out of the way, the final thing I’d like to talk about here are Kickstarter Stretch Goals!  I’ve budgeted these all fairly thoroughly, as I’ll explain in more detail when the KS itself launches.  These are as follows:
$25,000 -- Initial Goal.  This provides me with the living costs needed for the estimated year and some change of remaining development, as well as to commission Scandre and Viv for art and music, respectively.
$30,000 -- Local Deathmatch.  This tier will add a local deathmatch option to the main title, where you can fight with up to three of your friends in brand new arenas inspired by the couch competitions of old!
$35,000 -- More levels. This tier will add four fully-featured secret levels, pushing Capboy to the limit and providing special new rewards.  These levels will each come with a unique ability, melee weapon, and bossfight
$40,000 -- The Fantabulous Arena.  This tier will add a special arena to the game, allowing Capboy to fight endless enemy waves and challenge bosses that he’s already defeated again!  In addition to being able to have fun experiencing these fights, the Arena will have special challenges restricting Capboy to certain weapons, with even more sausages being rewarded for completing them.  Finally, post-release, all bosses will receive an additional Fantabulous version of themselves, unlocking potent new weapon upgrades for Capboy!
$50,000 -- Nightmare Mode. This tier will add a second campaign, inspired by the brutal NG+’s found in oldschool games.  Play as Capboy’s ally Friendwoman, travelling backwards through a distorted and damaged version of the main game’s story.  Face brutal platforming challenges, intense battle arenas, and mindbending puzzles, using with all of the main game’s weapons and unlocks to overcome the odds!  Naturally, this mode will also feature every single Fantabulous boss in place of their standard versions.  Nightmare Mode, if funded, would release as post-release DLC free to all backers of the $15 tier and above.
$60,000 -- Local Co-op.  Friendwoman will be able to join in with Capboy in the main quest, with the game dynamically adjusting challenges and obstacles to adjust for the additional player.  When in multiplayer, bosses will gain new co-op exclusive mechanics, and co-op exclusive puzzles and battle rooms will block the pair’s route.  This will also allow Friendwoman to be played instead of Capboy in the singleplayer main campaign.  If funded, this tier will release alongside the main game, and will likely cause some slight delay to the current predicted release date.
$65,000 -- Nightmare Co-op.  Friendwoman will be able to bring Capboy with her on her quest through the nightmare realm, enabling cooperation against the new threats and challenges of this brutal adventure.  As with the main campaign, new unique co-op oriented challenges will be present when in multiplayer on this campaign!  If funded, Nightmare Mode will have co-op when it is launched post-release.
$80,000 -- Online Multiplayer.  If funded, all multiplayer modes will be able to be played with one another online!  Releasing with the main game, Online Multiplayer will likely result in some further slight delay to the predicted release date if funded.
Whew, that was a lot!  If you bore with me for all of that, you’re a superfan, and it’s great to know that there are people dedicated enough to read through all of that.  As for when the KS and demo will actually launch, my current prediction is July 26th -- ironically, the same date (+4 months) as I wanted to release TFG’s kickstarter last year! Now that I’ve recovered from the issues I discussed in the last post, I’ve been diving deep back into development and making great progress.  As we approach that date, I will continue to evaluate the amount of work remaining and let you guys know if that seems like it’s going to change.
As I said at the beginning, swing by the Discord if you haven’t already and want to talk about this stuff!  I’m very eager to hear feedback on the price points of rewards and stretch goals, and am willing to listen to suggestions on any changes.  See you guys soon with another chunk of progress!

Shine Among the Treetops: An Ori and the Blind Forest (Definitive Edition) Review
Tumblr media
Disclaimer: I’ll try to keep my review of Ori and the Blind Forest as spoiler-free as possible, but there are some subtle details I will give away for the sake of covering as much as I can. So please, if you want to stay completely blind, turn back now.
Intro
When I hear the term ‘Metroid-Vania’, I can’t help but turn my head away. Massive labyrinths, little instruction, tons of backtracking and getting lost? That doesn’t exactly sound like a good time to me. I’ve tried my hand at the genre, playing Metroid and Hollow Knight for a while, and even making what I think is decent progress. However, I always got stuck at some point, whether it was not knowing where to go, or being crushed by an unforgiving boss over and over. While I had heard great things about Ori and the Blind Forest, I was still slightly hesitant.
However, after a bit of research and talks from friends, I picked up the game with some spare cash. And I am very happy to say that my fears were unfounded. Ori and the Blind Forest is an artistic gem of a game; with great visuals, heartfelt story, and gameplay that balances player pace and game intensity greatly.
Presentation
The first thing that struck me (and I’m sure many others) is the game’s art style. Johannes Figlhuber and Max Degen did an amazing job with the art direction, giving the world a feeling of wonder and beauty like what you’d find in a painting. This art is only boosted by the colors on display; vivid blues, oranges, and greens bring a sense of peace and spirituality to the world, and never feeling too gloomy, even in the darker areas. Elements flow together beautifully, the most common example being Ori themself, who leaves behind a wispy white trail as they run.
Along with visual design, sound design is also very enjoyable. Gareth Coker did a good job supporting the scene with softer tones and voices that, at least for me, invoked memories of Asian music, being calm and fluent for most of my playtime. However, the moments where the music picked up, mainly at the escape sequences at the end of each dungeon, worked well with the set pieces to get my heart pumping as I weaved my way to safety.
Gameplay
As any good developer knows, a game is only as good as the gameplay itself. Thankfully, Ori delivers in spades, making traversal both quick and fun, while the combat takes a backseat role, being simplistic in nature. Even only starting out, you move decently fast through the world, just about always picking something up from your exploration, whether it be an upgrade or a new ability.
These new abilities can be found throughout your adventure, and all of them have their uses and fun value; even if some are pretty much upgrades of each other. These ‘Skills,’ as the game calls them, make you an even greater runner and fighter through the world, providing all kinds of solutions to puzzles and platforming challenges; gaining support from your Ability Tree. These abilities start out as simple enough, giving more damage and efficiency for example, but it gets crazier as you go. By the end of my playthrough, I was what some would consider OP for a game in this style, but I was perfectly happy with what I was given.
These Ability upgrades can be bought with Ability Points, gained from finding collectibles in the world and killing enemies. And some of these can be pretty hard to find, requiring that you search every nook and cranny if you want to fully upgrade your skills.
This searching and exploring doesn’t feel bad or like filler either. I was surprised at just how much I enjoyed moving around throughout my entire playthrough; feeling like a parkour master by the final level, able to weave around the enemies and environment with the ease of a born acrobat. As far as difficulty, it’s mostly up to the player, thanks to the ability to make your own save points. As long as you have the energy (And the requirement is low) and are in a safe place (which you are about 90% of the time), you can save whenever you’d like.
This facet does take some getting used to, and there are some points where the game will autosave, but I got used to saving on my own fairly quickly. And while the enemies and terrain can be tricky, dying didn’t feel too bad for me, as I’d often save just before a section. And even if I didn’t, I could get back to my death point fairly quickly.
Story
The gameplay is greatly supported by the story. While there may not be much in terms of cutscenes and interactions, what’s here packs a solid punch; weaving a captivating tale of loss, revenge, empathy, and love that’s sure to water some eyes. This storytelling is only amplified by the animations, invoking strong emotions even with the simplistic character designs. While the voices from the game’s main deity don’t really add anything, they don’t take away either.
One aspect that I can deeply appreciate and respect is the villain, Kuro’s, role in the story. While painted as a typical ‘engulf in darkness’ type villain at first, mid-game revelations paint her in a tragic light, making me empathetic to the reasons for her actions. This emotional impact is only amplified by the end and the player’s observations, being rewarded with even deeper meaning and punch as the player makes connections in the backstories. The finale is an excellent payoff, filling me with joy and peace, and even a little bit of bittersweetness, as the credits began to roll.
Conclusion
Ori and the Blind Forest is a fantastic game through and through. A great story, excellent maneuverability, and an amazing art style all work together to bring an amazing world to life. I am very glad that I decided to play this. The game ran smoothly for me all the way through on the Nintendo Switch and I had a great time with this tale of discovery. Even if you don’t like Metroid-vanias, you need to pick up this game if platformers appeal to your play style, or even if it just looks good to you.
I am very happy to give this game a solid 10/10. While I don’t think I’ll replay it at least for a while, I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the forest for the lights.
Outro

Top 25 Doctor Who episodes
They are in chronological order, from season 1 (2005) to season 11 (2018), not of preference, two parters are counted as one episode. (edit: I had forgotten about “Midnight, so there are 26 now instead of 25, ops?)
★ S01E06 "Dalek" this episode really made me love the 9th doctor, Christopher performance was fantastic, I wish they had given him more time on the show so that we could have seen more of that rage.
★ S01E09-10 "The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances", this will be no surprise to anyone because it's a fan favourite of almost everyone, but that's because it's such a well written episode, creepy and intriguing, original and with a beautiful and heartwarming ending. That "For once everybody lives" always makes me tear up a bit.
★S01E12-13 "Bad Wolf/The Parting of Ways", RTD has always had beautiful endings and this surely is one, emotional and beautiful, but also funny at times. The final part where Rose looked into the TARDIS and her interactions with the Daleks was badass as fuck, and her interaction with the Doctor was beautiful. And let's not talk about "You were fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. And you know what? So was I!"
★ S02E08-09 "The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit", this is such an underrated episode but a brilliant one. It's scary and it always keeps you on your toes because you don't know what's going to happen. I didn't appreciate it enough the first time I saw, only when I rewatched it I realized how good it was.
★S02E12-13 "Army of Ghosts/Doomsday", of course this is going to be on the list, Rose was my first companion and seeing her go was a devastating experience that I can't forget. I remember seeing this episode for the first time and crying like a baby just during the initial monologue "[...] But then came the Army of Ghosts. Then came Torchwood and the war. That's when it all ended. This is the story of how I died." Still crying over this. And let's not talk about the wall scene. You know which one.
★S03E01 "Smith and Jones", when I first watched season 3 I didn't appreciate it enough because I was mourning Rose's departure and couldn't get over it, however, when I rewatched it, I finally was able to appreciate this season because it's a really good season. I know this episode is an odd choice, not a lot of people talk about this specific episode, but I think it's a really good episode, really enjoyable, but not too heavy, and Martha in this episode is absolutely brilliant, we can see just how smart and brave and smart and smart she really is.
★ S03E08-09 "Human Nature/The Family of Blood", this is another really popular and loved episode by the fandom, and again, there is a really good reason. This episode it's fun but also emotional, it's really original and super intriguing. And of course we can't forget to mention the "fury of a time lord", that scene where he punishes the family of blood is just perfect. Loved it.
★ S03E12-13 "The sound of Drums/Last of the time lords", as I said, RTD finales are absolutely brilliant, and this, like the others, is brilliant too. It shows what a complete badass Martha is, traveling the world all alone because she is a woman on a mission. I didn't really like how the doctor got back to normal, but let's not think about it too much. My favourite scene ever, that gave me the chills is when Martha finds out what's inside those robots, it still gives me chills every time I see that scene.
★S04e08-09 "Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead", again, this is a really predictable episode, but it is a beautiful two parter. The villain is brilliant and super scary, the whole concept of the episode is brilliant and it's executed perfectly, and we are also introduced to River, for whom we are sad when she dies the first time we see it but it's so much better when you rewatch the episode after having watched all the other episodes with her, including The husband of River Song, which take place right after this episode.
★ S04E10 "Midnight" do I even have to explain why this episode, which is loved by everyone, is in this list? I don't think so.
★ S04E11 "Turn Left", this episode is criminally underrated. I LOVE this episode with all of my heart. When people talk about Blink, they praise it because it was brilliant even tho the doctor wasn't even in it, well this is brilliant and the doctor isn't in it. This episode is so devastating to watch trough the eyes of a human, the devastation and pain that is caused by the fact that the doctor is not there to save earth is just, you know, devastating. I don't know how to explain how much I love this episode.
★ S04E12-13 "The stolen earth/Journey's end" another beautiful finale from RDT. Not only because it's a beautiful episode but also because we got EVERYONE in this episode, Rose, Jack, Martha, Sarah Jane, Donna, Micky, Jakie literally everyone was there, and it was just beautiful to finally see again some old friends.
★ S05E01 "The Eleventh Hour" this was a perfect introduction to the new doctor, we needed something strong that could make us like him after loosing Tennant, someone that everyone loved, and this episode did it. Matt did and incredible job in this episode, which introduces to Amy and Rory, the crack in time and space and the new doctor. I loved the episode and 11 speech was just phenomenal, really made me like him instantly.
★ S05E02 "The beast below", I guess this can be considered an odd choice, because I never hear anyone talk about this specific episode, but I loved it, it was fun and it also showed us a bit more about the doctor, how he is, what's his moral compass like, how he acts and reacts to things, and also we learned more about Amy. The plot was really interesting and cool, at time a bit creepy but also really sad because of what happened to that whale-thing.
★S05E04-05 "The time of angels/Flesh and stone", I actually have no clue of how people feel about this episode, but I personally really loved them, we got the angels, the crack in time and space, cool moments with River, Amy and the doctor, it was exciting and it was cool, but also a bit emotional at times.
★S05E12-13 "The Pandorica Opens/The Big Bang" Moffat showed us that he could make a good finale too. I really loved this finale, it's so exciting and it ties a lot of ends together, which is always cool to see it happen. The Pandorica speech is one of my favourite moments ever and also we got Rory back. Really awesome ending that didn't leave you underwhelmed and it was completely satisfying.
★ S06E01-02 "The Impossible Astronaut/Day of the Moon" is one, if not the best opener ever. It just keeps you hooked and excited, not only for these two episodes, but for the whole season. The episode literally starts with the death of the doctor, and then it introduced a new and cool villain that is the Silence.
★S06E04 "The doctor's wife" is one of the best episodes ever, it has a cool and we'll executed concept, it's really emotional but also cool as hell? And it also has one of my favourite quotes ever "Fear me I've killed hundreds of time lords" "Fear me, I've killed all of them".
★ S06E07 "A Good Man Goes To War" is just PERFECT, the plot twist were brilliant, they left me speechless, I cry and laughed and I just loved the episode. Bonus points because in this episode Rory was a complete badass. It has my favourite doctor who quote of all times
"Demons run when a good man goes to war
Night will fall and drown the sun
When a good man goes to war
Friendship dies and true love lies
Night will fall and the dark will rise
When a good man goes to war
Demons run, but count the cost
The battle's won, but the child is lost"
★ S06E08 "Let's Kill Hitler", from what I saw people don't really love this episode, but I absolutely did love it and this is my list, so here it is.
★S06E10 "The Girl Who Waited" this episode was really devastating but so so beautiful, this is another fan favourite, at least it was before, I haven't heard a lot people talk about it recently. But again, there is a good reason if it is so loved.
★ S06E11 "The God Complex" surprisingly I haven't seen anyone ever talk about this episode even though it absolutely brilliant and spectacular. It's not a really heavy episode, but heavy enough. It's also a bit of a strange episode, but not in a bad way.
★ The day of the doctor/The time of the doctor
★ S08E05 "Time Heist" this is not a really popular episode and I saw a lot of people say that they didn't like it, however I did, probably because I'm a slut for heist movies and this episode combined two things that I love, Doctor Who and Heist Movies.
★ S08E08 "Mummy on the Orient Express", this episode really blew me out of the way, it was just brilliant. I don't even know what to say, it just was.
★ S09E11 "Heaven Sent" (I know I said that two parters would count as one episode but I HATED Hell Bent, I'm not going to get into why or it'll take to long) This episode was probably one the best doctor who episodes ever , the acting was phenomenal, Capaldi is just great, and the plot and dialogue and monologue and plot twist and everything. Even if you don't like doctor who this is episode is great. It has my favourite quote:
"As you come into this world, something else is also born.
You begin your life, and it begins a journey towards you. It moves slowly, but it never stops.
Wherever you go, whatever path you take, it will follow me. Never faster, never slower, always coming.
You will run. It will walk.
You will rest. It will not
One day, you will linger in the same place too long. You will sit too still or sleep too deep, and when, too late, you raise to go, you will notice a second shadow next to yours. Your life will then be over."
★ S10E11 "World Enough And Time" (In this case I did like episode 12 but it wasn't good enough to make it into the list) This episode left me speechless, I really wasn't expecting this episode to be that good. Absolutely loved this episode, it was brilliant.

Exciting New Switch Games for 2019
The Nintendo Switch has become a very popular gaming console over the course of the last year or so, and people are clamoring not only to get the Switch but also to get the right accessories and all of the great games that will be coming to the system in the near future. Let’s take a look at some of the games that will be coming to the console to see why people are so excited.
Astral Chain
Tumblr media

This is an action game developed by PlatinumGames. You might recognize the name of as being the developer of other popular games like Nier: Automata and Bayonetta. You play as a police officer in Neuron, a special task force, and you have at your side a living weapon called Legion. There are a number of weapon Legion types that can be switched between, and this weapon is one of the driving features of the game. You will be able to control your character and the special weapon simultaneously to come up with a range of possible combinations and styles of fighting your way through the levels.
The game also has a nice design that appears to be partially cell-shaded. The characters were designed by manga artist Masakazu Katsura. It should come out in late August.
Spyro Reignited Trilogy
Tumblr media
picture link:https://store.steampowered.com/app/996580/Spyro_Reignited_Trilogy/
Many people have fond memories of playing Spyro the Dragon and the follow-ups when they were released years ago. The games were fun and there was a lot to love about the spunky purple dragon. Of course, there are many gamers today who have never had a chance to play the old games. With the release of this trilogy, which should be coming out on September 3 for the Switch, it provides new opportunities.
The game will come with the original Spyro the Dragon, as well as Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage!, and Spyro Year of the Dragon. The games have been fully remastered to provide a fantastic look to the classic. The gameplay controls have been improved, as well, which should prove to make certain aspects of the game less frustrating.
The Legend of Zelda: Links Awakening
Tumblr media

Most people have heard of The Legend of Zelda even if they haven’t played one of the games. Breath of the Wild was released at the same time as the Switch, and it brought gamers a massive world to explore. This latest game, which will be coming out on September 20, is a reimagining of the original Gameboy release from back in 1993. The look and the style of this game are fantastic and it has a “very Nintendo” feel to it. In the game, you will be playing as the hero Link who wakes up on a strange island and is trying to find his way home.
The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt
Tumblr media

The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt will reportedly be releasing on October 15, although there are rumors that it could be later. This popular game has already been out on other consoles but now Switch fans will get to step into the shoes of Geralt of Rivia, the titular Witcher. One of the biggest benefits of this edition for the Switch is that it is the Complete Edition, meaning it will have the DLC already included. For anyone who likes gritty, fun fantasy and who have not played the game, or who wants to give it another go on the Switch, it is highly recommended by many.
Resident Evil Triple Pack
Tumblr media

This will be released right before Halloween, and there is no better time of year to play the classic horror games. It is time that you returned to fight off hordes of the undead and other monstrosities with the Resident Evil Triple Pack. This includes two-player local and online co-op for RE5 and RE6. It will also include game modes from RE4. Those who like to have a good scare, whether they are playing alone or with friends, may want to check out this option for the Switch.
Luigi’s Mansion 3
Tumblr media
picture from: https://www.nintendo.com/games/detail/luigis-mansion-3-switch/
If you want some lighthearted scary fare, Luigi’s Mansion 3 might be a nice solution. Mario’s green-loving brother does not always get the attention he deserves, but these games have always been fun in the past, and this one does not look like it will disappoint. It will be releasing on October 31 and will provide many hours of fun as Luigi makes his way through the haunted mansion with a slew of new abilities.
Pokémon Sword and Shield
Tumblr media
pic linke from https://gadgets.ndtv.com/games/news/pokemon-sword-shield-nintendo-switch-november-2019-direct-2049119
The Pokémon games are always popular no matter their iteration and no matter the console. When the Sword and Shield release on November 15, it is sure to be a fast seller. It is possible to buy the games separately or to buy both of them in a bundle if you prefer. These games allow you to become a Pokémon trainer in some brand new regions, and you might even be able to find some new Pokémon along the way.
These are just some of the games that will be coming to the Switch in the coming months. There are plenty of other options for those who are interested in just about every type of genre available.
Don’t Forget the Accessories
While the games are all fantastic, you will find that many people who are buying a Switch or who already own one of the consoles are also interested in accessories. Retailers, developers, and publishers should know that the right accessories at the right prices can sell very well. Whether they are new cases, chargers, or even controllers for the Switch, there is high demand. Having quality third-party controllers and accessories available for consumers is always a good idea. Many times, it is even possible to get these items with your own branding.
We have been providing quality services and products for developers and game publishers for years, and we can ensure that you get exactly what you need. Get in touch with us today to learn more about how we can help.

Best PC Games to Play in 2021
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
We’re entering a golden age for PC gaming. The next generation of graphics cards are capable of pumping out 4K graphics and high FPS on almost any big name release, and real-time raytracing is taking graphics to new heights that weren’t possible just a couple years ago.
Add in Sony bringing more PlayStation ports to the PC and nearly every Xbox exclusive making its way to PCs as well, and a high-end gaming computer looks to be the definitive way to play almost anything over the next few years.
The following is a list of the most anticipated games coming to home computers this year. While release dates are always flexible, these are only titles that have already been released or officially confirmed for 2021.
Back 4 Blood
June 22 | Turtle Rock Studios
Despite persistent rumors of a third Left 4 Dead game entering development, it’s been more than a decade since Valve has released a new entry in the beloved co-op zombie series. Enter Turtle Rock Studios, the studio behind the original Left 4 Dead game, with a spiritual successor, Back 4 Blood.
By all accounts, Back 4 Blood plays a lot like Left 4 Dead. There are safe rooms, tons of melee weapons, an AI director who constantly changes things up, and zombies. Lots and lots of zombies. But there will also be perk cards that add interesting perks and buffs to the experience, making each playthrough unique. If Back 4 Blood can capture the spirit of the original Left 4 Dead, it should be fantastic.
Chivalry 2
June 8 | Torn Banner Studios
Chivalry was once considered one of the PC’s premier multiplayer titles. Could the sequel follow in its footsteps? We’ll find out pretty soon when Chivalry 2 launches exclusively on the Epic Games Store. According to Torn Banner Studios, the sequel aims to deliver combat that’s deep enough to keep players interested for awhile, yet easy for newcomers to pick up for the first time.
The latest gameplay videos show off lots of brutal medieval melee combat, with battlefields absolutely drenched in blood after a few minutes of 64 players hacking away at each other. This should be on your must-buy list in June!
Deathloop
May 21 | Arkane Studios
The best way to describe Deathloop is Hitman meets Groundhog Day. You play as Colt, an assassin stuck on a mysterious island, who must take out eight targets before midnight. If you die or fail to eliminate all targets, the day resets, and you’ll have to start all over again. And all the while you’re also being hunted by Julianna Blake, a rival assassin who doesn’t want you breaking the time loop. She can be controlled by either the AI or another player.
Arkane has a great track record when it comes to unique first-person games like Prey and the Dishonored series. If Deathloop’s heady concept can hold up, it could be another home run for the developer.
Diablo 2: Resurrected
TBA | Vicarious Visions
While Diablo III’s reputation has improved substantially since its controversial 2012 launch, there’s still a vocal group of gamers who prefer the second game in Blizzard’s genre-defining action RPG series. Knowing how much this game means to a lot of people, Vicarious Visions has said it’s not out to reinvent the wheel for Resurrected. The updated 3D graphics will display in 4K, but you can switch back to the original graphics at any point with the press of a button.
And while there will be some quality of life improvements like a shared item stash and automatic gold pickup, don’t expect any revolutionary changes that will spoil the original experience. This should be exactly what we need to tide us over until Diablo IV hits.
Evil Genius 2: World Domination
March 30 | Rebellion Developments
It’s taken 17 years to get a sequel to the criminally underrated Evil Genius, but it’s finally here. If you never had the pleasure of playing the original, imagine being a James Bond villain and managing your own secret lair to build a weapon of mass destruction and eventually take over the world. Yeah, it’s pretty awesome.
World Domination promises to be a bigger and better sequel. You’ll be able to pick from four different evil geniuses at the start of the game and one of three islands. Each minion in your lair now has their own personality and traits, so you’ll have to use them more strategically than ever to prevent the Forces of Justice from foiling your evil plans.
Far Cry 6
TBA | Ubisoft
Far Cry 6 was originally supposed to be out by now, but development has slowed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It’s still expected to be out in 2021, though. According to Ubisoft, the theme of the game is revolution against an oppressive government, with substantial research going into how and why revolutions are fought to better develop the game’s setting and story.
Ubisoft certainly picked the right actor to lead an oppressive government, with Breaking Bad and Mandalorian villain Giancarlo Esposito portraying the nefarious “El Presidente” who we’ll be looking to topple later this year.
Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker
TBA | Square Enix
After one of the worst MMORPG launches ever, it’s a miracle that Final Fantasy XIV is still around a decade later. Not only did Square Enix turn things around, this game is now regarded as one of the very best in the genre.
Endwalker, the game’s fourth major expansion pack will conclude the story of the warring gods Hydaelyn and Zodiark, which has been running since the game’s 2013 relaunch. This won’t be the end of the MMO, though. Square still says it has several years worth of stories to tell.
Along with the obligatory new zones and quests, Square has promised two new classes. The first one shown so far, the sage, is a healer who battles with floating swords.
Guilty Gear Strive
April 9 | Arc System Works
The Guilty Gear series has never quite received the same attention as fighting games like Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter, but the franchise has quietly earned a reputation as a technically sound alternative for the competitive fighting game community.
The footage of Guilty Gear Strive released so far looks stunning. Arc has perfected the 3D polygonal character on a 2D plane, and the gameplay promises to be more accessible than ever, with the addition of a new dash button and a “wall-stick hit-state” which allows characters knocked into walls to slide down and continue fighting back.
Halo Infinite
TBA | 343 Industries
Halo may be Microsoft’s flagship franchise, but it’s always had a complicated relationship with the PC, with entries only being ported years after their initial release on Xbox (if at all). Halo Infinite will be the first mainline entry in the series to show up on both console and PC at launch, and it’s currently expected some time in the fall.
Halo Infinite’s public unveiling last year didn’t quite go as planned, with footage receiving a rather frosty reception from most fans. There are a lot of rumors of development troubles online, but Microsoft has a good track record of pulling its Halo games together in time for release, so hopefully we’ll end up with another classic game in the series later this year.
Hitman 3
January 20 | IO Interactive
Hitman 3 makes murder fun. Yes, there’s a lot of murder in video games, but true to its namesake, Hitman is more about the setup than the execution. No other franchise has perfected the thrill of expertly sneaking into an area, tracking down a target, and setting up an unfortunate “accident” to get away unscathed. Or just go in guns blazing like a maniac if that’s your kind of thing.
With Hitman 3, you can even import levels from the previous two games to get the full “World of Assassination” experience, but expect further updates throughout the year, including ray tracing.
Humankind
April 22 | Amplitude Studios
As popular as the Civilization series has become over the last three decades, it’s surprising that few developers have been up to the challenge of developing a competitor to Sid Meier’s classic creation. Humankind could be up to the task, though. You’ll lead your civilization across six different eras of human history, selecting one of 10 different civilizations in each era. You can handle relations with other societies diplomatically, but if that goes south, combat is handled as a tactical RPG.
Developer Amplitude Studios has been dipping its toes into the 4X genre over the last decade with the well-received Endless Space and Endless Legend, and now the team are looking to apply everything they’ve learned from those games into Humankind.
Mass Effect Legendary Edition
May 14 | BioWare
Gamers have been clamoring for a re-release of the Mass Effect trilogy for years, and the Legendary Edition looks to exceed expectations. All three games will support 4K resolution, higher frame rates, and new graphical effects. The original Mass Effect in particular has seen a number of improvements akin to a partial remake, with improved combat, re-tooled enemy AI, and a faster Mako vehicle for traversing the Milky Way’s many planets.
While the Legendary Edition will include almost all of the DLC from the original trilogy (including some rather awesome add-ons like Lair of the Shadow Broker and Omega), BioWare has also announced a few omissions. Mass Effect 3’s lauded multiplayer mode isn’t going to make the cut, and Pinnacle Station, a much-maligned arena style add-on for the first game won’t be included either due to the loss of its source code.
New World
August 31 | Amazon Games
Amazon has had its sights set on the gaming world for quite some time, quietly pumping money into a number of projects, and New World could be its breakthrough hit. In this MMORPG set on an unnamed land in the Atlantic Ocean in the 1600s, you’ll wield bows, hammers, hatchets, magical staffs, musket rifles, spears, and swords against a variety of fantastical creatures. There will also be plenty of opportunities to gather resources, craft and build settlements. Best of all, there’s no monthly fee to play.
Launching a new IP is always difficult, and MMOs are a particularly difficult genre to break into, but if any company has the resources to succeed, it’s Amazon.
Resident Evil Village
May 7 | Capcom
There was already a ton of hype for the eighth main installment in the Resident Evil franchise following its initial reveal last year, but the introduction of antagonist Lady Dimitrescu aka “Tall Vampire Lady” has put the hype train in overdrive. We still don’t know a lot about the story, but we do expect there will be plenty of run-ins with the 9-foot tall lady and her vampiric daughters.
Village’s first demo gave us our first glimpse of stunning European manor rendered in 4K with ray tracing. The RE Engine was already a looker on last-gen hardware, but Village should be even more stunning when running on a newer graphics card.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2
TBA | GSC Game World
We still know remarkably little about S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, a game that’s scheduled to release by the end of the year. In December, GSC Game World released an in-engine teaser trailer that looked impressive, with a first-person view of someone running down a hallway in a dilapidated building around Chernobyl.
If the previous games in the series are any indication, we should be in for some truly terrifying encounters and harrowing firefights with twisted irradiated mutants. Here’s hoping we get more info soon.
Total War: Warhammer III
TBA | Creative Assembly
The trailer for the final entry in Creative Assembly’s Total War: Warhammer trilogy looks very cool, with humans mounted on horses and polar bears facing down chaos demons on a frozen battlefield.
The campaign is said to be twice the size of the one in Total War: Warhammer II, and those who own the DLC for all three games will have access to a combined map that will combine patches from maps from all three games for an absolutely massive strategy experience.
Valheim
February 2 | Iron Gate AB
Valheim came out of nowhere to become one of the big success stories of 2021, selling more than a million copies less than three weeks after its early access release. If you aren’t caught up on the latest Steam phenomenon, think of it as Minecraft mixed with Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. You and up to nine other friends are dropped off in the middle of a Viking afterlife to survive, craft, and battle mythical creatures.
Iron Gate AB has been vague about what exactly to expect from future updates, but the studio has teased future customization options for homes and ships, and eventually even a new biome to explore.
Warhammer 40,000: Darktide
TBA | Fatshark
There have been dozens of Warhammer video games over the years, but few have found the success and crossover appeal of Fatshark’s Vermintide games. It turns out that mowing down waves of enemies with three of your friends is just plain fun, no matter the setting.
Darktide features the same Left 4 Dead-inspired gameplay, but moves the battle to the futuristic Warhammer 40,000 setting, incorporating more gunplay along the way. If you liked the Vermintide games, this is pretty much a must-have.
Wrath: Aeon of Ruin
TBA | KillPixel
First-person shooters have come a long way in the last couple of decades, but some times you just want to run and gun in a dark fantasy setting as quickly as possible. And remarkably few modern games provide that experience. Enter Wrath: Aeon of Ruin, a spiritual successor to Quake, Doom, and Hexen, built on the 25-year-old Quake Engine.
cnx.cmd.push(function() { cnx({ playerId: "106e33c0-3911-473c-b599-b1426db57530", }).render("0270c398a82f44f49c23c16122516796"); });
Wrath has been in Early Access since November 2019, and what’s been released so far is very promising, looking and sounding like a lost PC shooter from the late ‘90s. The full game should be out later this year.

9 Fun Marvel-Themed Games You Can Play
Tumblr media
To date, there is no other cinematic universe more popular than Marvel. In just over a decade, the famous film and television studio redefined franchise movies, with its 22 films grossing some $17 billion. Through iconic superheroes like Captain America, Wolverine, Loki, and many more, Marvel’s movies evolved into one of the things fans look forward to each year since 2008. Unfortunately, with the ongoing global health crisis causing the world to come to a standstill, 2020 became the first year in a decade to go without an MCU film. Black Widow, which was initially due for release last year, was officially delayed to this year, 2021.
Thankfully, there are still many ways fans can keep enjoying the franchise and their favorite characters while waiting for the next movie installment — and one of these is through video games. In this list, we’ve gathered together a selection of online, mobile, and video games inspired by Marvel:
1. Marvel-Branded Slots If you’ve ever dreamt about winning a jackpot, you can try your hand at some Marvel-themed slots. Gala Spins describes how Playtech collaborated with the Marvel franchise to release online themed slots including a cast of popular characters like Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, and The Fantastic Four. In recent years, these titles have become some of the most popular online slots available. Depending on whether you manage to hit combos like Power, Extra Power, Super Power, and Ultimate Power, you have the chance to win exciting jackpots.
youtube
2. Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 Released in 2019, one of the Marvel-inspired games you can play on your Nintendo Switch is the third installment of ‘Marvel Ultimate Alliance’. It draws inspiration from the ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and ‘Avengers: Endgame’ storylines, enabling you to team up with your favorite heroes in a top-down dungeon crawler setting. The good news is that Attack of the Fanboy’s online game guide describes how you can form a team of four with your friends in the co-op option of the game.
youtube
3. Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 If you’re looking for a battle, this is it. Compatible with PC and a PlayStation and Xbox systems, you can create a unique pairing of your three best players ranging from characters like Doctor Strange, Rocket Raccoon, and Ryu. They’ll face off against three of your opponent’s character picks, and you have 36 to choose from so you can always switch it up. With realistic fighting mechanics and an awesome soundtrack, you’re sure to enjoy many hours of competitive gameplay.
youtube
4. Deadpool Everyone’s favorite violent yet comedic Marvel character stars in this action-adventure game compatible with PlayStation and Xbox platforms. True to his character, Deadpool breaks the fourth wall and finds out he is getting his own video game. He makes reference to various Internet memes, gets into violent battles, and ultimately wrecks Mr. Sinister and his army of clones. Even though it was released in 2013, it’s still a highly playable game that contains loads of hysterical moments. Deadpool’s iconic humor shines like no other.
youtube
5. Spider-Man The 2018 release of this game was exclusively for PlayStation 4 owners, and is said to be one of the best iterations with Peter Parker’s well-loved character. The Game of the Year Edition includes exclusive downloadable content from ‘The City That Never Sleeps’, with three post-launch story chapters giving you new missions, challenges, and enemies to overcome. Plus, there are even more suits to unlock to customize your character.
youtube
6. Marvel Super War Available on both iOS and Android and released in 2019, ‘Marvel Super War’ is an action-packed mobile collaboration between NetEase and Marvel. It’s a free-to-play third-person multiplayer online battle arena game, which is the first of its kind. You can play as a fighter, energy, marksman, assassin, tank, or support and it even includes characters like Mantis, Groot, and Star-Lord. The controls are relatively simple to pick up so it’s great for a variety of audiences.
youtube
7. LEGO Marvel Collection Technically, it’s made up of three games in one, but this PlayStation 4 and Xbox One-compatible series promises family fun for those aged 10 and up. It also comes with season pass content for every game so it’s a must-have for LEGO and Marvel fans. For those who are curious, it includes LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, LEGO Marvel’s Avengers, and LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 so you can explore every possible storyline to your heart’s content.
youtube
8. Iron Man VR One of the most sought-after Marvel characters is Iron Man. This character’s merchandise ranges from humble key chains and cute Funko Pop! collectibles to full-on mechanical suits and special edition SUVs. 24 Hours in Toronto (And Tips for your First Time Visiting)
Tumblr media
As a lot of you understand, my moms and dads enjoy taking my brother and I on spontaneous, last minute trips. This past 4th of July was no different. We started driving from Chicago to Niagara Falls (the Canadian side) on Friday morning, and invested Saturday in Toronto before heading back house on Sunday. I absolutely LIKED this city as well as can truthfully see myself living here in the future. I intended to share a few of my favorite memories from this journey together with some quick suggestions for your future first visit to Toronto!
We visited the adhering to locations:
Nathan Phillips Square/City Hall & Toronto indication
Financial Area
Eaton Square
June Callwood Park
Vog Vault
Lavelle
Kensington Market/Chinatown
Sweet Jesus Gelato Store
CN Tower/Edgewalk Experience
Canada Indication
Toronto Train Heritage Center
Harborfront Centre
Toronto Raptors Arena
Below I've included a picture from each area in addition to a quick pointer or tale about the experience!
Nathan Phillips Square/City Hall & Toronto indicator: One of the most popular spots, with the Toronto sign. We went in the eve the sun had actually set to take images, but when we walked past it in the direction of the end of the evening, the letters were a lot more bright and also impactful! Depend upon what type of photo you want to chat, however I suggest waiting until night time for the lights to be extraordinary.
Financial District: This location reminded me a lot of midtown Chicago! From going by Union Station to all the buildings of massive companies like EY/KPMG as well as more, I really felt right at home in this area. Dining establishments, as expected, close extremely early below so you'll need to venture out for food or maybe you'll encounter a hot dog food truck like we did.
Eaton Square: We asked some locals where we must head next, and also they explained Eaton Square as "Toronto's Madison Square". It was incredible! First we walked through the shopping center, which is stated to be the busiest shopping center in The United States and Canada, and afterwards we socialized for some time outside, where there was real-time music, a million screens/advertisements around us, all under the cotton candy skies.
June Callwood Park: This is a good place for Instagram influencers that are great with editing and enhancing photos ... for regular families/tourists? Not a lot. Simply a tiny pink configuration of a mini-maze. Here's my ideal effort at modifying a photo at it.
Vog Safe: This place is really a footwear store! The staff members are so nice and practical. The room for this picture is small and also straight ahead when you stroll in. Pro tip: Ask an employee to borrow an actual publication to hold on to while taking the picture. Makes it even more eccentric!
Lavelle: This is a rooftop bar, reminded me of numerous in Chicago. Liked the view, the furnishings's aesthetic, as well as the photo ops. Search for a much less crowded time so you can snag a fun photo on their little pool side beds or the glass wall edges.
Kensington Market/Chinatown: My family members quit right here for lunch. It's a fantastic area to obtain souvenirs and market food.
Sweet Jesus Ice Cream Store: I saw this area when I was seeking out Toronto images on Instagram and also the ice-cream looked tasty! They have an unique soft cake crumb finishing on their tasty tastes. I got the one with raspberry and red velour. Protip: My family of 4 might barely end up sharing one routine size dish of ice-cream. Do yourself (and also your budget) a support and order the little!
CN Tower/Edgewalk Experience: My bro constantly discovers a way to do something frightening or adrenaline-filled in a new city, as well as here in Toronto it was to do the Edgewalk: the world's greatest full-circle hands-free walk. We wore our harnesses, increased 116 tales high, as well as the teachers assisted us to LEAN OUT OVER THE CN TOWER. Message me if you 'd such as even more details on this experience! I wore sunglasses in the photo to mask the concern in my eyes.
Canada Sign: Iconic Canada authorize right by the CN Tower. As expected, there is a line to take your photo here.
Toronto Train Heritage Facility: My father loves trains & railways, and somehow as if by magic, we always end up locating something railway associated on our trips. Here's a picture of him, in full excitement as well as happiness, talking to my bro concerning trains.
Harborfront Centre: One of the last points we did was see the Harborfront Centre and also take in the charming sight by the water.
Toronto Raptors Stadium: The Toronto Rapters are the 2019 NBA Champions, it was so enjoyable walking by their indicators all over the city.
If we had even more time, I would have additionally liked to check out:
Polson Pier Horizon Sight
Distillery District
Casa Loma
Bata Shoe Museum
Graffiti Street
So much to see and experience! I guess this simply indicates I need to go back soon-- that wishes to join?!

We've played six of the thirteen games on this shelf. This is another shelf with several expansion boxes on it (four, to be precise, and all for Arkham Horror). There are also four co-ops here, of which we've only played two.
Chess (in that beat up cardboard box) is an abstract we've never played together.  We've played separately but that doesn't count.  Element is a modern abstract that we haven't gotten around to yet. Heart of Crown is a game all about getting your princess on the thrown, complete with art that makes me think of Long Live The Queen.  Honestly, we should have played this already.  Dragonfire is a reboot of Shadowrun Crossfire, set in the Dungeons & Dragons universe.  Most likely, we'll play it before we play Shadowrun because cyberpunk isn't science fiction and I always prefer fantasy.  Both look like fun co-ops though.  Fallout was obviously coming into our collection as Fallout 3 is still one of my favorite video games.  My wife bought a custom box insert that should help with setup time so this is now way more likely to see the table soon.  Wasteland Express Delivery Service is a post-apocalyptic Mad Max style pick-up-and-deliver game with awesome art and a fantastic box insert.  It just isn't the sort of game we play often so it hasn't hit the table yet.
Arkham Horror was, for a very long time, the only Lovecraftian game we had in our collection.  I'm not a big horror fan and it isn't my wife's favorite genre.  Lovecraft also has a ton of baggage.  Still, Arkham Horror is one of the quintessential cooperative board games and, when we played it, we really enjoyed it.  We have most of the expansions for it which is a big reason why I haven't upgraded to Third Edition, even though the modular board looks cool.  Dead of Winter is one of the only zombie games in our collection and it's here because it's cooperative.  We enjoyed our time with it and I keep considering buying expansions, it just hasn't happened.
Patchwork is a delightful two-player abstract that we enjoy so much we bought actual buttons to use when we play.  Kingdomino is a light city builder with two section tiles that add just enough thought to selection.  It's a nice choice to scratch that city building itch when something like Suburbia isn't in the cards for us.  Akrotiri is a pick-up-and-deliver game we actually enjoy as the addition of tile placement and hand management adds depth.  Space Explorers is a game I kickstarted for my wife because, you know, space exploration.  Turns out, it's also fantastic and has a really amazing semi-cooperative element that is incredibly thematic.
This is a nice shelf, with co-ops we enjoy and co-ops we're excited to play.  It also has one of our biggest surprises in recent memory in Space Explorers, along with the delightful Patchwork.  I still can't believe I haven't gotten Heart of Crown to the table.  I need to rectify that along with the fact that we also still haven't played Fallout.  None of these are even remotely in purge consideration and it doesn't seem likely they will be.

What is your rank of the Jojo OPs?
Oooooh, that’s tough. It’s hard to rank them because Jojo openings are kind of different from your standard “song by some popular band set to formulaic generic cool anime shots”, so like, music-wise I like Bloody Stream but Sono Chi no Kioku is cooler as an opening for example... How about instead of ranking them from best to worst, I’ll critique them all instead! I’ll put it under a cut because this gets long.
Sono Chi no Sadame
Music: ★★★★☆ - It’s really good, and Tommy’s singing is always great because you can always tell he’s having lots of fun. That being said, it’s a little bit of an acquired taste. If someone who normally listens to pop music put on Sono Chi no Sadame in front of someone who doesn’t know Jojo, that other person would probably be very confused and might not like it. (As a side note, depending on my mood I sometimes prefer the metal version from the anthology CDs, but they’re both so good...)
Animation: ★★★☆☆ - It’s pretty cool, and I love the use of manga panels especially the split second where you can see Jolyne. It’s very well synced with the music, like the part where they shoot Dio? Holy shit dude... I also like the part where Dio walks up the wall. That being said, the stage feels a little cramped, and since this was the first of the 3D Jojo openings it’s not quite as polished as the others. I feel like the models look a little weird at times, and I’m not so fond of the shade of teal used for Jonathan near the end...
Jojolity (to borrow the term from EoH): ★★★★★ I would have honestly ranked this one a little lower, but I mean, come on. It’s Sono Chi no Sadame. It’s iconic! While the lyrics don’t have as many direct references to the series as some of the other openings, I like the frequent references to the Joestar legacy (both in the lyrics and at the beginning of the animation). And as I mentioned, Tommy’s singing is so fun it’s infectious. Plus this opening deserves a whole extra star just for the iconic “JOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOJO!”
Bloody Stream
Music: ★★★★☆ - This is definitely one of my favorite Jojo openings, but again, it’s a little weird compared to most anime music. It’s not as energetic as Sono Chi no Sadame, and the lyrics aren’t all that imo. The bridge (or whatever, you know the “kyoumei suru / unmei no hamon / kokoro ni) part is kind of weird tbh. But still, I really like this one.
Animation: ★★★★★ - I absolutely love the visuals on this one. I love the Battle Tendency aesthetic in general, and this opening practically oozes that aesthetic. The way they combined 2D and 3D is really cool, and I love the use of color, patterns, and silhouettes. The typography is really cool too! I love that while it does manage to incorporate some story elements like the other openings, it’s mostly at the end, and overall it’s a lot more abstract and focused on the main characters as individuals. I also really love the beginning, with Joseph kind of walking onto the scene and getting ready to show off, like it’s his turn now! Welcome to part 2! However, with  all this being said, why the thing with Lisa Lisa... why. I’m so tired of Jojo fanservice moms.
Jojolity: ★★★★☆ - This is a great opening that, while certainly different from the others and not as connected with the series as a whole, couldn’t suit part 2 better. It’s not just another Jojo opening, you watch this one and you KNOW it’s Battle Tendency. There’s a lot of fitting use of patterns and motifs in the animation- stars and the manga’s “JOJO” for Joseph, plus the brief foreshadowing of Hermit Purple, then for Lisa Lisa we’ve got some swirls and ripples, and Caesar has the Zeppeli family checkerboard/harlequin pattern. And of course, the blood bubble, the bandana, and the scream at the end are fantastic(ly painful).
Stand Proud
Music: ★★☆☆☆ - It’s good, but it doesn’t really stand out among the other Jojo songs. It’s a lot more generic sort of sound, like a normal anime opening. Even as a song on its own, I don’t think it’s especially noteworthy. Maybe that’s just personal taste though. That being said, I like the lyrics a lot! And I don’t know if everyone realizes this in English, but the “alright now, alright now, alright now” part is pronounced in Japanese like “ora now, ora now, ora now”, so it’s kind of a neat pun, even if I feel like it sounds better when it’s pronounced closer to English. (You’ll notice the “ora” a lot more if you listen to that one clip of Daisuke Ono singing it.)
Animation: ★★★★★ - This is the third of the CGI openings, and the experience shows. The models are a lot smoother and nicer looking than the first two openings, imo. The camera angles are pretty cool, and it manages to have a good blend of overall story scenes with more character-focused, “cool factor” type visuals. The colors are nice, the space theme is really cool, and my favorite part is the bit where Jotaro’s kneeling at the bottom of a sort of Joestar family tree.
Jojolity: ★★★★★ - While this is not my personal favorite opening, the animation and the song do a fantastic job of living up to the series. Part 3 imo is sort of the “big finale” of Jojo (even if it’s only the third of eight parts, it’s one of if not the most popular, and sort of the culmination of the Joestars vs. Dio rivalry), and Stand Proud- both in animation and music- is suitably badass, as well as connected to Jojo as a whole. There’s a lot of references to the Joestar legacy, both in the lyrics and a lot of visuals that literally show past Joestars and lead up to Jotaro taking his place in the spotlight and carrying on the family destiny. There’s also some pretty cool references to manga art.
Sono Chi no Kioku
Music: ★★★★★ - There’s really no term to describe it other than “grand”. It’s almost orchestral or like an opera, very dramatic and cinematic in a way, but still has a rock style to it as well. The use of a heartbeat-like sound at the beginning is cool. The lyrics are great, and I love that not only is it sung by the singers of the previous three openings, but if you listen to the full version, in the bridge they all make references to their respective openings (”The destiny of light and darkness” “the swirling history is bloody” “an inheritance of undying pride”). And of course, my favorite part is where they yell “STAAAAAAAAAR PLATINUMMMM!”
Animation: ★★★★★ - I don’t have too much to say about this one, since it’s pretty much the same quality as Stand Proud, but it’s also full of little blink-and-you-miss-them details and foreshadowing; You can actually briefly see stylized examples of how every character dies, and if you watch very, very carefully during the shot with Jotaro frozen in time, the finger on his right hand twitches. I like the bit on the stairs with the Egyptian god silhouettes, and the broken clock motif is also really cool, while at the same time it ties in with the space theme of Stand Proud.
Jojolity: ★★★★★★★ - This, to me, is the ultimate Jojo opening. It’s so dramatic, so part 3, so very Jojo, and in a lot of ways it really is the culmination of everything that came before it. The animation and the music are both fantastic. Then on top of all that we have the unforgettable “ZA WARUDO” edition, which to this day is absolutely the coolest thing I have ever seen any anime opening do, by far. Sono Chi no Kioku is absolutely perfect for the end of part 3 and does a great job of embodying “This is it, everything has been leading up to this, this is the final resolution of 100 years of Dio tormenting the Joestars, this is where it all goes down.” I love this opening so much and I don’t know if any anime opening will ever live up to it, for me.
Crazy Noisy Bizarre Town
Music: ★★★★☆ - Dude, this one gets stuck in my head SO easily. It’s a lot of fun.
Animation: ★★★☆☆ - It’s really unimpressive after the amazing CGI openings, and doesn’t even have as much movement as most anime openings. But the colors are really fun, and it definitely shows of Morioh, with scenery from all over town as well as montages of Morioh’s residents.
Jojolity: ★★★☆☆ - It’s just pretty disappointing compared to the first four openings. It doesn’t have nearly the same level of dramatic action, nor as many references to the actual story. It’s much more mellow. Overall, it feels less like a story about Jojo, and more like a random dance party. However, one might argue that that’s perfect for part 4; with no more vampires and a protagonist who wasn’t raised as a Joestar, part 4 has much less to do with Jojo overall than the previous three parts, and is a lot more slice-of-life, so a Morioh dance party makes sense. I’ll also say that I do genuinely like Crazy Noisy Bizarre Town, and both the music and the animation remind me a lot of Bloody Stream. I’m not sure if that was intentional or not, but either way, I feel like it’s a great homage to the fact that Josuke is Joseph’s son.
Chase
Music: ★☆☆☆☆ - While I like the song itself decently enough, it’s even more generic than Stand Proud, and the only direct references to the series in the lyrics are the use of the word “arrow” in two lines. Also, the singer doesn’t sound especially passionate, and holy shit dude take a cough drop. You’re killing me here. I’d actually like this song if I could stand the singing at all.
Animation: ★★★☆☆ - It’s much more drab than Crazy Noisy Bizarre Town, but it does have a lot more action and movement to it, and more references to the story. I like the Killer Queen emblem thing, too. I feel like at times it’s not very well synced with the lyrics. However, Reimi is in it, so there’s that. I love you Reimi
Jojolity: ★★☆☆☆ - It just doesn’t feel like a Jojo opening. Jojo should be weird, fun, colorful, fashionable, and Chase just... isn’t. It’s dull. It’s generic. Where are the funky trumpets? Fun patterns and colors? Keywords like “stand” or “destiny” dropped into the lyrics? There are none. If you replaced the characters, you could use this as an opening for Death Note. A Jojo opening should be very unique to Jojo. That being said, at least the darkness of both the music and the animation are very fitting for the horror of knowing that Kira is out there somewhere, and it’s cool how they throw in things like the fingernails or the Killer Queen emblem as if he’s watching everyone.
Great Days
Music: ★★★★☆ - Now THIS is a Jojo opening. It’s no Sono Chi no Sadame, but it’s fun, hopeful, and has plenty of references to the story. Not to mention that right of the bat, it incorporates the main theme from the OST, which is awesome.
Animation: ★★★★☆ - Again, it doesn’t live up to the CGI openings, but it’s got some cool angles and such. There’s a nice balance of plot-appropriate darkness and Jojo fashion aesthetic, and it shows off the town and also includes story elements. There’s some cool emblems and poses, too. Not to mention that Reimi is right at the forefront of this opening! I love you Reimi
Jojolity: ★★★★☆ - Like Sono Chi no Kioku, this one definitely has a sort of “penultimate” feeling, especially due to the use of the main theme. It’s really fun and suited to both the part 4 finale and Jojo as a whole, and the pointing pose is straight out of the manga. And then of course we’ve got the “Bites the Dust” version, like The World and Sono Chi no Kioku. Great Days is perfect for the end of part 4.
