Finally started on Ember's pages...

We love magic guns in DnD games. We really hope to get an illustration of this at some point. The long rifle powered by a magical fire core just seems super fun! It was inspired by someone in the Twitch chat who wanted a Laser Rifle for their combat. This was what we came up with overall!

Embercore Arquebus

Weapon (rifle), rare, reload (2) misfire (3)

“A long, heavy rifle crafted from dark metals and imbued with evocation runes. The traditional lock and chamber has been replaced by a small embercore that creates bursts of fire magic that are converted into ammunition.”

You have a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon, and its damage type is fire.

This magic item doesn’t require ammunition as it creates its own, but still requires the action or attack action to generate and reload the magic required to function. Overcharge. You can use an action to overcharge this weapon and release a beam of condensed energy. The beam is 5 feet wide and 60 feet long, any creatures in the line must make a DC 16 Dexterity saving throw or take 8d6 fire damage, or half on a success. Once you use this property you must finish a long rest before using it again.
