#Dragon Egg Incarnation Au

Text
Am I slightly obsessed with dragon AUs? Maybe. Maybe I just really like dragons. So have another prompt.
Danny and Tucker have decided to reincarnate together in an entirely new world. Which isn't a new thing with reincarnation for beings such as them, but honestly they're a little tired of being humans or human-adjacent beings.
But they don't want to just be an animal either. They're Ancients after all, and can afford to be a bit prideful in choosing a form they'll hopefully spend at least another eighteen years in.
The forms they've chosen? Why dragons. It fits their power sets so well, and honestly it's something new for them! And well, Sam would join but it's her turn on the whole council thing since the Realms doesn't exactly have a king anymore.
But they have to make it through the whole... egg thing first. Which on one hand, dragon eggs are practically indestructible and it's free nap time! On the other, they can't exactly defend themselves besides whatever natural magical things might surround them.
Which is why it's so annoying that some assholes decide to steal them. They're literally stuck as eggs for at least a few months more, preferably a bit longer so they can be certain their new bodies are strong enough to hold their true power. Or at least the small fraction living bodies can hold.
And they aren't some gemstones! Honestly these people are also idiots and- oh, hey, someone is attacking the whole smuggling operation thing, thank fuuck... .... Oh hey, fellow undead! Yeah, hey, dude that doesn't feel full of greed and is maybe a bit angry but that's normal, yeah you! Hey get them out of this box! Yeah!
Jason on the other hand, is having a very What the Fuck sort of night right now.

Could you tell us more about Nahtaviel? What is her story? What is the au youre referring to? Does she have any interactions with other characters?
Ohhhhhh!!! Sure!! Let me explain it to you in parts💖💖
To start, when I say "AU" I mean an alternate universe where my ocs are part of the story (such as a game, an anime, a novel, etc.).
I do this mainly so that there are no problems with those people in the fandoms who like the story to be followed 100%, which is why I say that it is AU and therefore the canon story will not be affected.
In the case of Nahtaivel she is part of the Genshin AU (which I share with my friends) where she is part of the story along with other ocs and therefore there are certain changes in the lore with respect to the original story to the game.
Now that we have clarified that point, let's go to the next one, where I will talk about this lady dragon.
Nahtaivel is part of my oldest ocs, I created her during 2014-2016 and she is based on Leviathan. Her name is basically Leviathan said backwards (Leviathan=Nahtaivel).
And in 2021 I adapted Nahtaivel for the lore of Genshin, which at that time her story was simpler compared to now, in addition to the fact that in 2021 the fandom didn't know about the existence of Sovereign dragons in the game, info would be revealed some time later.
Then in 2023 when the Fontaine arc came out, I decided to revamp Nahtaivel by giving her a more solid story that involved some parts of the game's story.
Many Genshin fans know that Neuvillette is the reincarnation of the sovereign dragon Hydro and that he is based on Leviathan.
Well this is where things get interesting.
In some myths and biblical stories about Leviathan, they say that there was not a single Leviathan but two Leviathans, a male and a female. And then God would kill the female because these sea beasts were a danger.
So at that moment I said "Hey, what if Sovereign Hydro reincarnated into not one but two new entities?"👀. Added to that I was also inspired by the lore of Zekrom and Reshiram from pokemon.
So basically Nahtaivel and Neuvillete are re-incarnations of the sovereign dragon Hydro and basically they consider each other as siblings (Naht being the older sister, for breaking the egg first before Neuvi). Although Neuvillette is the one who has control over the hydro element, obviously.
How crazy that there are also two Hydro archons(???.
Regarding the history of Nahtaivel I will try to summarize it a little:
Nahtaivel, the first moment she came to the surface from the depths of the ocean, she was curious about the world of land and humans (Yes, the little mermaid). So little by little she learned about this new world and its inhabitants, even interacting with humans and learning different languages of those times.
So in exchange for that, Nahtaivel would teach humans the secrets of navigation and encourage them to explore beyond the limits of the Teyvat's seas.
The humans of Liyue and Inazuma would begin to treat her as a goddess, calling her by the names of Gran Mare and Mother Sea. She was the one who maintained order and balance in the seas of Liyue and Inazuma.
In addition, Nahtaivel would form a good relationship with other deities and beasts of the sea, among them Osial, who would become her right hand.
But things would change with of the archon war, Nahtaivel tried to ensure peace between the deities of the sea and the inhabitants of the mainland because she did not want lives to be lost (And because she knew this was a twisted plan on Celestia's part). Which was one of the reasons Osial and the other sea deities saw her as someone "weak" besides that they envied the good relationship she had with humans.
And that is why one day they betrayed her, plotting to try to eliminate her and take her power to keep it for themselves. But that was their biggest and last mistake. Because they only caused the beast that slept in her finally to wake up.
Nahtaivel massacred the traitors who tried to kill her, her wrath was on the surface and few sea deities were able to escape, including Osial.
Two hundred years later, Nahtaivel would agree to help Morax seal Osial and, in the process, take revenge on him for his betrayal.
What she didn't expect is that she and Morax would end up in a romantic relationship, learning about each other and after sealing the vortex god, they would get married and have a 2000 year old marriage. They even had a daughter.
Currently Nahtaivel leads a peaceful life as a "mortal" with her husband in Liyue.
As for her relationship with the Genshin characters, it's still a work in progress but I have some here: Zhongli/Morax (husband), Neuvillette (younger brother), Beidou (ex-pupil, partner in crime 1),Venti/Barbatos (friend), Traveler (acquaintance), Xiao (her husband's pupil and she wants the poor boy to relax a little once in his life) and Hu Tao (Her husband's boss, partner in crime 2).
And regarding Nahtaivel's personality, she is quite motherly. She seems intimidating at first but the truth is that Naht is calm and depending on who she is with, she can be more open or not. Being that with her closest ones she has a softer attitude and likes to play some little joke.
She is honest with her words, and sometimes she can even be too direct with what she thinks, she doesn't like lies or betrayals. Naht is only aggressive when she feels threatened or is in combat with someone else.
Ahhh...I hope this wasn't too long haha TwT)💦 and thanks for asking!!💖💖💖

heyyyy im making a pinned post as that is a feature and seems good to keep info all in one place esp for ppl on mobile
❤️im brave!! or rua works if u want to but brave is by far the most popular name i go by. he/him pronouns
❤️art commissions/art trades are NOT on the table rn sadly. i used to offer commissions and did art trades with friends but for the most part im really busy with work/health conditions. if i have a bit of free time i may change this or make a few exceptions on a case by case basis depending on my schedule. for the most part tho i just want my art to be a stress relief activity
❤️art requests i do take from time to time now, but there is no guaranty i will take it. please do not spam requests hoping i’ll do it and please do not get mad if i don’t do it. they’re requests for a reason. if i am particularly inspired i’ll be happy to get around to it if life lets me
❤️technically multifandom blog i would say, mostly i have been focused on the elder scrolls series lately. you will probably see me rb stuff from like, a bunch of series. if this changes i’ll prob edit this post LMAO (i do not control the special interest)
❤️not just an art blog but also personal. my art can be found in my #my art tag. wips can sometimes be found scattered on my twitter if they arent on here. and writing that i publish can be found on my ao3 (though i have like a million wips that dont get published and be warned much of my ao3 is rated E and not for everyone)
❤️ been doing a lot of oc posting so i can do a run down of them currently for anyone that wants to follow along/know the lore:
/// OCS ///
(under cut)
🌟 Eyja: skyrim oc, nord dragonborn, she/her. past life incarnation was konahrik, alduin’s head priest, murdered by miraak. uses a bow and magic primarily. story can be found here
🌟 Senna: skyrim oc, nord dragonborn, she/her. proud two handed weapon user and leader of the companions. fought and lost to the world eater who took her back to his den and make her his partner. proof prophecy can be a complicated thing. story can be found here.
🌟 Baldur: skyrim oc, nord dragonborn, he/him. grew up on the streets stealing to survive, and certified trans of gender. fought and lost to the world eater who decided to force baldur to be his champion. helps him take over skyrim. story not yet published but will prob contain a lot of mentions of transphobia as a cw :(
🌟 Ansa: skyrim oc, nord dragonborn, she/her. orphaned at a young age, and just a weird, feral child. learned to steal, and ended up joining the thieves guild. killed mercer and turned the guild over to karliah and is helping rebuild it when she finds a weird rock that turns out to be a dragon egg. story not yet published
🌟 Ahkrinaak: general elder scrolls oc, he/him/any pronouns. he is based off me as a sort of self insert/persona character purely for comedy, not a serious au. dragon/god who was corrupted in the war with lorkhan/shor and became more so an agent of lorkhan. he spends most of his time pretending to be a mortal and causing problems. he’s just sillay. looks like a falmer/snow elf and nord hybrid making pretty much everyone just in general uncomfortable. dragons dont have gender he just likes tits. divorced with alduin
🌟 Lyre: not a skyrim oc (yet) but my beloved dnd character i have made a million aus for, including one that has turned into a full on novel lmao. will update everyone when i start uploading the novel (its not gonna be too serious just a fun lil webnovel that is pg rate) and you can see me post illustrations for. depending on the AU uses either he/him or she/her. i just think theyre neat
🌟 Anthial: nerevarine bosmer, tired, angry, nb spellsword. he/them pronouns. just wants to cover their entire body until you cant tell what gender they are. vivec never got them the drink he owed them. was convinced as nerevar that voryn never liked them back all that much. had an open marriage with almalexia. this incarnation was emotionless and lacked a moral compass due to the betrayal in their past life.
🌟 Steren: nerevarine, technically. not actually the reincarnation of nerevar, but the reincarnation of nerevar’s son. nerevar never reincarnated bc he was too busy haunting his descendants, too upset to move on. steren has a couple of aus but mostly its him with vivienne the dragonborn who belongs to @mulberrycafe. calls voryn “ata” and nerevar “dad” because he technically grew up in cyrodiil but remembers his first lifetime in bits and pieces where voryn raised him for the first few years.
feel free to send asks abt my ocs i love answering them

Hi!^^
I'm not sure if you've mentioned this before, but Hestia, being a dragon who is with a human (Lance), how was her pregnancy? Did she lay eggs or have a human pregnancy? I hope I explained myself well, the truth is that I was curious about this hehe
Have a good day/night!
Hiiii, good morning (for me). So I kind of touched on this in several places, most notably here.
So basically, dragons do not reproduce sexually. When I say dragons are magic incarnate, I mean that literally. Dragons reproduce through magic.
It's the two powerful sources of magic mingling together that makes a dragon. That's why Hestia does not have a biomagical father, her mother's magic mingled with a place's magic. Hestia and Lance's magic mingled three times to create their three hatchlings.
They're not biological, they're biomagical. It's the magic inside them that lets them sense the magic of someone related to them. It's why Hestia being in the Badlands near Apophis so often could create Senka in Free Hearth AU.
Dragons are magic incarnate. They are created by magic and they exist through magic.
That said, if she did have them more "naturally", it would still be eggs. It just would cause Lance to feel very awkward about the fact that they don't need to have sex in her dragon form to make children.

Twin Avatars AU
Randomish AU idea I’ve been thinking about for a while. Then this morning I just figured, fuck it, wynaut? ;D
~x~
*Instead of one Avatar, there's two. And the Avatar Spirit is a set of twin spirits.
*A light spirit named Chiaro, and a dark spirit named Scuro. The Light Avatar has Chiaro and the Dark Avatar has Scuro.
*Yes, their names are based on Chiaroscuro. It refers to the contrast of light and dark values, so I thought it would be fitting. c: Plus it's like my favorite painting style/technique!
*No, Chiaro and Scuro are not like Raava and Vaatu where one is good and one is evil. The dark and light spirit's dynamic is more like this: Chiaro is extremely stubborn, but level headed and clear minded, and Scuro is mad, but open-minded and a creative thinker. The best comparison I can think of off the top of my head is Chiaro is more like Pakku, and Scuro is more like Bumi.
*The cycle of the Light Avatar is the traditional water, earth, fire, air. The cycle for the Dark Avatar runs in reverse, air, fire, earth, water.
*The two avatars can always recognize the current or previous incarnations of the other.
*Also, seeing as Chiaro and Scuro are twins, the Light and Dark Avatars are basically platonic soul-mates. Their friendship has transcended thousands of lifetimes. It goes back all the way to the first two Avatars, Wan and Chiro. (I consider LoK and ATLA to be different canons, but Wan is cute so he can stay.)
*Aang is the Light Avatar, and Yume(OC doughnut steel) is the Dark Avatar.
*Aang is a twelve year old airbender and Yume is a sixteen year old firebender.
*While Aang was born to pure-blooded airbenders, Yume is a half-breed who was born in the Northern Water Tribe.
*In fact, she was recognized as the Dark Avatar when she wandered up to Light Avatar Roku as a two year old. She had gotten separated from her Mom, and recognized him. He recognized her as the re-incarnation of Mina(the previous airbending Dark Avatar) immediately. Side note: Now I wanna draw Roku playing with tiny Yume. So cute! <3
*Funny thing about the twin spirits, Chiaro re-incarnates as pure-blooded benders, and usually into families of note. While Scuro tends to re-incarnate into unexpected places and into half-breed bodies. It's completely like Scuro to re-incarnate as a swampbender, or a half-breed, or even pureblooded bender born into a non-native nation.
*Scuro is just tricky like that.
*Naturally, after Roku passes, Yume and Aang eventually meet and become fast friends. Neither realize that the other is an avatar at the time, but feel a strange connection.
*Much how like Aang has Appa, and Roku had Fang, Yume has a dragon named Draco. Yume met Draco when he was still an egg, and he and Aang are two of the only friends that Yume had.
*When Yume turns five, she starts to show serious firebending talent and is sent to the Fire Nation to master firebending. She ends up living with the Fire Sages(who take her in as they sense doom looming in the horizon and wish to protect the young avatar.) The Fire Sages do not tell her she is the Avatar until her sixteenth birthday.
*The sages fears are realized when Yume is spirited away soon after turning sixteen.
*When Aang froze himself, the spirits dragged Yume into the void between the spirit and mortal realm. Mercifully, they drag Draco into the void too.
*In the void, the previous Dark Avatars taught Yume the other elements and helped her become a fully realized Dark Avatar.
Side note- I actually can’t decide between Yume being a fully realized avatar, and being an ava-noob like Aang. Because I could have her with Aang bumbling around, learning how to properly utilize an ancient, powerful spirit and being adorable as two besties learn the elements together. Or I can have her contrast with Aang who is untrained but more emotionally stable. And also, she would absolutely feel completely responsible for him and feel like a complete failure when a certain terrible thing happens.
*In the void, time does not exist, so Yume doesn't age. Physically or mentally. No, she just becomes lonelier and more eccentric.
*When Aang breaks out of the iceberg, Yume is released from the void. Resulting in Yume and Draco crashing right into a sleeping Appa.
*Appa's a little salty about having his nap disturbed but is happy to see Draco.
*Yume is extatic to see Aang, and Aang is also quite excited to see Yume.
*It's only in that moment that Aang and Yume realize that the other is an avatar.
*Even though Yume knows that Aang is the Light Avatar, she doesn't reveal his secret. She opts to let him come clean on his own terms.
*At first Katara and Sokka(mostly Sokka) are suspicious of Yume. Seeing as she's wearing Fire Nation clothes(and is technically half-Fire). However they don't know that she's a half-breed and assume she's just Fire Nation.
*Yume is surprised by the amount of hostility she gets over being Fire Nation.
*"Look, I know there's something off about Sozin, but we're not all like that." "...What do you mean he died decades ago??"
*Both Aang and Yume have a hard time wrapping their heads around the fact that a century had passed.
*Katara is quicker to warm up to Yume, because she doesn't act like the fire-bugs that raided her village. Yume's actually quite nice, if a little strange. Also, she's the Dark Avatar, a force a balance and bringer of hope to the world.
*Despite Yume's strangeness, Sokka can't help but warm up to her as well.
*Both Aang and Yume convince Katara to go into the abandoned Fire Nation ship, and trigger boobie traps. Yume takes full responsibility(even though it was Aang's idea), and is kicked out. Aang decides to go with her, because he feels bad about getting her kicked out.
*While away, Aang and Yume have a heart to heart about why Aang lied about being the Avatar.
*When Zuko comes, both Aang and Yume come to the villages rescue. When they ask why she came back, Yume just says that it's her duty to protect the innocent.
*Because Yume is technically 116, she uses outdated Fire Nation slang. It pisses Zuko off to no end, and she enjoys every second of it. In fact, when she first sees him, she greets him with "Flameo, hotman!" and he gets really fuckin mad. :'D
*Zuko is about to take on a fully realized Avatar, and Yume thinks that so adorable. The difference in power between the two is so great, that Yume can hardly take him seriously.
*Even though Yume knows she can take this pissy Prince and his little squad, she doesn't argue when Aang opts to surrender.
*Of course she and Aang escape easily.
*The first time Yume sees Aang go into the avatar state, she freezes up. Something in her twists painfully at the sight of him in such distress.
*Even though Yume is a fully realized Avatar, she cannot defeat the Fire Lord alone. She needs Aang. And Aang is still untrained.
*Yume is horrified and disgusted by what the Fire Nation has become. And despite being the Dark Avatar, is often given the side-eye by the very people she and the rest of the Gaang try to help.
*Yume helps supplement Aang's training, but even she realizes that he needs to learn from real masters.
*When shit goes down at Wan Shi Tong's library, both Appa and Draco are stolen. Yume is completely devastated, but pretends like it isn't affecting her.
*She drinks cactus juice along with Sokka! :'D Although, she actually knew what it would do to her.
*Even though Yume puts on a brave front, Katara can sense just how much loosing Draco is hurting her. But unlike Aang, Yume refuses to open up and show her true feelings.
*At least until Draco comes back and she sobs into his fluffy dragon mane.
*When Aang gets shot down in Ba Sing Se, it wasn't just Yume watching her childhood friend die. It was thousands of lifetimes watching their platonic soul-mate die right in front of them, it was Scuro watching their twin perish right before their eyes.
*Yume was consumed by a blinding, inescapable rage. For the first time, a fully realized Avatar completely lost control. Yume completely leveled Ba Sing Se before Draco was able to calm her down. She only barely escaped.
*In that night, the world lost both it's Avatars once again.
*Aang felt like he failed the world, and Yume was too afraid of loosing control again.
*When the time came to face Ozai on the day of the comet, Aang went to the lion-turtle alone. Yume doesn't know where he went and is afraid that she'll have to face Ozai alone. That she'll lose control again.
*She goes with Sokka, Suki, and Toph to stop the warships and face Ozai.
*When she and Aang face off against the Fire Lord, she holds back and is shot down. When she comes too, she sees what she thinks is Ozai finishing off Aang(when his fire breaks through Aang's protective earth sphere and he slams against that rock). And immediately goes full on avatar state, but Aang is fine, and now also in the avatar state.
*The two of them completely curbstomp Ozai.
*Yume is about to deliver the final blow, when Aang comes out of the avatar state and stops her. She yields, and restrains Ozai instead. Aang then does his thing and takes Ozai's bending away.
*When the war is over, and it's time to have meetings to make peace, Yume is a terrible diplomat.
*She keeps putting her feet up on the table, pretending to fall asleep during meetings(while making an obnoxious snoring sound), and is actively hostile towards most of the old, stubborn generals and government officials that refuse to make the diplomacy process easy.
*There is even one incident where one Earth Kingdom general is giving Fire Lord Zuko shit about not just letting him kick people out of the Fire Nation colonies. Zuko argues that it's not fair to just kick people out of the only home they've known and make them homeless. The general isn't empathetic. Yume is visibly annoyed, and openly glaring at the man.
*"Is there something you have to say to me, Avatar?"
*"Yeah. You're a bitch."
*Zuko is horrified, Toph is laughing. Aang is struggling to remain composed.
*"Excuse me??"
*"Oh, I'm sorry. Let me rephrase that. You're a cunt."
*"I don't have to take this. If you do not expel your people from my land, there will be consequences."
*"Are you trying to start another war?"
*"I'll do what I have to."
*"You better not, I know where you live."
*The room goes silent.
*"Are you threatening me?"
*"It's not a threat, it's a promise~" ;)

I have had a very long day, which was very painful. It ended with slightly less pain and a bit of scotch and I think I impressed some way higher-paid people than me because we talked and they asked why I hadn’t joined in on important higher-up meetings. Anyway, long story short, I can’t believe I got a breakthrough in ideas after a shower and intense burnout at the end of the day and I’m mad at myself.
Tumblr media
Changed some fic titles. Like with Beta AU, the chapters serve as individual fics of a broader work in sequence, while the scenes are actually just chapters in those fics.
And just before I go on, a note: I don’t actually support incest irl. It’s not something I look for in fiction, but I don’t mind it if a) the power dynamic is either equal or it’s never an issue in the first place, b) there’s no chance of offspring, c) the people involved didn’t grow up together. Faris/Lenna hits all three of those points, with bonus best-damn-relationship-in-fiction I’ve ever seen (they’re so supportive of each other even when they didn’t know each other! Faris is so gentle and kind and supportive to Lenna when she’s abrasive with everyone else! Lenna comforted Faris when Syldra died! Lenna talks to Faris with the utmost respect while still using a form of Japanese that’s very personal! Faris will go above and beyond for Lenna, including daring rescues and very nearly dying in the process! They are always a united front! There were so many long fireside chats! Faris agreed to get into a dress just for Lenna! If Lenna dies at the end of the game, Faris takes the throne in honor of her (and absolutely not because she wants it--if they both survive, Faris splits her time between Lenna and her crew)! They are so, so dedicated to each other! and then there’s that wonderful Amano art I have in poster form). They’re just so good together that the incest is a mild inconvenience at worst and prime angst fodder at best.
Anyway! As much as I love Faris/Lenna, and the broader work’s scope is going to make it such a complicated mess over the course of the game (the first 3 fics span the game), I’m actually really enjoying the aftermath. In sum:
Changing Course - Falling in love, complicated by grief over Syldra’s death, Lenna discovering they’re related and breaking it off, further complicated by Alexander’s death, Faris and Lenna end up being a united front on everything despite the breakup, off to Galuf’s world.
Reversing Course - No clue if they can get back home. Faris and Lenna keep dancing around the whole accidental incest issue, but it’s not helped by all those long fireside chats and they really do miss being together but are trying to be good about it. Galuf disapproves and Butz doesn’t actually care, but they get kind of sick of this and remind the women that no one actually knows them on Galuf’s world. A reversal of course on the accidental incest thing and then the Macross homage and they trade pendants as a confirmation of their dedication to each other. Faris meets Kelgar in passing and gets a brief education in her options outside of piracy or royalty. Galuf dies, Krile gets adopted by the group, and trauma with ExDeath’s castle of writhing living flesh. But, as FFV is ultimately about friendship and support networks, all this trauma gets mitigated.
Setting Course - ExDeath merges the worlds to gain the power of the Void. If Faris and Lenna are really gonna do this, Lenna has to follow Faris’ example--Faris has, after all, lived as a man for 15 years and knows all about hiding potentially destructive secrets. Further complications when Faris thinks she left Lenna in safety back at Tycoon Castle, only for the castle to get sucked into the Void and Lenna to get possessed by Melusine, and boy is she developing a complex now. And then Faris’ crew gets sucked into the Void, along with Butz’s hometown and pretty much everything else and it’s a mess. I think I’m gonna go with the Faris-dies ending for max angst. No worries, though, she’ll only be dead for a year before the Dawn Warriors decide she’s better off alive and kick her out of the afterlife.
The Surgate Experiment - The merged world still trying to get used to sudden castles and townships appearing and deserts where there were none, and so on. Krile discovers that the Light Warriors can still access the magics/skills they learned from their Crystals, if in slightly different forms; also discovers that the merging of the worlds brought back the sky dragon population from extinction and hands eggs to Faris and Lenna because I demand dragon friends. Kelgar planted the seeds in Faris’ head, but the Karnak rebellion waters them. Queen Polymja Yllesia of Karnak being... not a great ex, honestly, and poking at Faris’ honor just helps those seeds along (”Of course I used you, little love. You were a delightful little distraction to get my advisers off the notion of me remarrying. Just like you’re using me to distract from your affair. That’s what royalty does, we use each other. ... Honestly, incest is so far down on the list of terrible things nobles have done that you really need not worry. I had my father, husband, and cousin assassinated and never regretted it.” ... basically, lololol, Star Sapphire came from the first fic incarnation’s Queen Karnak). Krile, upon listening to the scholars and after the headache of fighting Jacole over borders and dealing with Polymja, abdicates the throne of Bal. Faris tries to argue the case for a shift from absolute monarchy to constitutional, but Lenna is reluctant bc she’s so used to taking after her father that she doesn’t know how else to serve her country--all she has ever been taught was how to be a queen. But she relents eventually, because she can’t bear to be on the opposite side of an issue with Faris, and the whole incest thing compounds the weight of the crown.
Transition is mostly just about the radical shift of powers as Walse remains the only absolute monarchy, Lenna’s appointed heir is displeased by the loss of absolute monarchy, the Light Warriors adjust to being living manifestations of the Crystals’ wills, and Krile’s new life as archaeologist unearths yet another Lonkan refugee/ancient evil because Enuo, Omega, and Shinryuu were all Lonka’s fault in the original incarnation of this fic and Lenna’s dumbass cousin gets himself involved in that shit. (Lenna is disappointed in her choice of heirs and might have decided to move up the timetable for a transition to a more socialist form of government.) About this point would be where I’d intended to incorporate Legend of the Crystals, but that’s not happening anymore I don’t think--I don’t see LotC as canon. tbh this is the least defined of the fics.
Okay, now I think I can sleep.

Slifer!Yugi Puzzleshipping AU Ch1
So, I finally got the first chapter of my Slifer!Yugi Puzzleshipping Au done. I thought I’d put it on here to see how it went before posting it on FF.net or deciding to abandon the idea completely. I already gave @ashethehedgehog a preview of this, and Ashe liked it, so I think it’s going to be good?
Warnings: There is a NSFW scene near then end of the chapter, also abundance of dragon cuddles
If you like it, share it, repost it, shoot me an ask or message about how much you liked it (if you liked it), what you liked, if I should continue or not.
--------------------------
Atem, lord of the two lands, Pharaoh of Kemet, the living Horus sat on an altar to the great god-dragon. Around him, the dragon’s priests moved. They chanted, sang, danced, and prayed. This was the only way to protect his people. He had no idea what the great dragon would ask for in return, but he was willing to give whatever he asked. The music crested, stopping abruptly with a crash. The priests silently rose from their genuflections and left the holy of holies.
He breathed softly, closing his crimson eyes. Atem had been told he would not be allowed to look into the god-dragon’s eyes. The temple’s attendants had bathed him in the temple pool earlier in the morning. His hair had been combed, glass beads of red and black woven into his mane of blond and mahogany red. He had been dressed in linen dyed the same colors. It had been to make the dragon more sympathetic to him. Atem stiffened as he felt a presence before him.
“I see my priests have done their best to make you appeal to me.” A male voice spoke. The great dragon’s voice was soft, but demanded his attention, demanded that he hang onto every word. Footsteps began to circle him on the altar. He could feel the dragon’s eyes studying him. “Why have they asked I appear, Pharaoh?”
“I beg your indulgence, great Dragon. My kingdom is in peril. My people starve, while the nobles fatten themselves. I have fasted as much as I can, and have had as much food as the palace can spare spread among my people. I beg you to help! I have tried everything to appease Set. He refuses to give my people the rain they need to stop this drought! Please, oh merciful Dragon, help Khemet. I will give you whatever you wish!” Tears freely flowed down the Pharaoh’s face. They were part frustration and part sadness.
Gentle human like fingers wiped them away. “Open your eyes and look upon me.” Atem did as told, gasping at the wide violet eyes gazing at him. The god-dragon in human form drew back. His hair defied gravity, much like the ruler’s own, but instead of mahogany red and gold, his hair was black, bright blond, and flame red. He wore a tunic and shenti as black as his dragon form’s underbelly. Over that was a robe as red as his scales. His human form’s skin was pale, almost white. “My price shall be your hand.”
“My hand?” Atem asked, not exactly sure what the god-dragon meant. Did he mean to cut one of his hands off, or would he be willing to marry a human? Why would one of the divine guardians of Khemet wed a lowly human, even if that human was Horus incarnate?
“Yes. I want you as my spouse, and in return I shall create a storm to end the drought. Our union will be most beneficial for Khemet far beyond the current problems.” The great dragon held his hand out. Atem slid off the altar. He took a deep breath. His hand slid into the dragon’s. “You have accepted my offer. We shall be wed immediately, then I will go bring the rains.”
“For my people.” The Pharaoh murmured. He was more than willing to sign his life, and the possibility of a loving union away for his people. A tear slid down his face, before the great dragon wiped it away.
“Do not cry, Pharaoh. I may be a god-dragon, but I vow to treat you as my most prized treasure. I will love no other being. I will place no other being before you. I will spend as much time as I need to woo you.” The dragon pulled him closer. Atem trembled in the god’s arms.
“If we are to be wed, great Dragon, I am Atem. You may use my name.” “My true name is Yugi. Only you are allowed to use it, Atem. Come, my treasure, let us be wed.”
-------------------
Atem breathed deeply as he drew the sheer cloak about him. The red sheer cloak had been one of his promised wedding gifts. While it seemed light, Yugi had promised it was stronger than any weapon. He had boasted the cloth was woven from shavings of his scales. A rumble of thunder made the Pharaoh glance up. The serpentine red and black form wove through the clouds. Yugi was breath taking as he flew through the sky. His true form was enormous, and the god kept some part of his dragon body over the palace.
“Perhaps my union with Slifer will not be so bad. He is rather beautiful in either form. It is a wild sort of beauty.” The Pharaoh mused. “Will he be as gentle as he was earlier?” Atem thought aloud, his face flushing softly. He was nervous about what Yugi would expect when he entered his-their room. Would the great dragon demand his virtue and the consummation of their marriage? Or would he be content to rest beside the Pharaoh until he was ready to give it freely?
He turned away as the rain grew stronger, making his way to his bed. Atem loved this bed. It was the one thing his ancestors hadn’t taken to their tomb. It was a family tradition for the Pharaohs to sleep in this spacious bed; for their children to be conceived and born in it. At least, it was until him. Atem would be the last Pharaoh conceived and born on this bed. Perhaps Slifer knew of a way to conceive a child between two males?
He ran his fingers over the cream linen bedding. It was soft under his fingers, reassuring him. Things would turn out right in the end. Atem knew it in his heart. He curled into a ball on the bed, smiling, and allowed the rains his divine spouse brought to sing him to sleep. Sometime later, Yugi landed on the balcony as he transformed back into his human form. His eyes were focused only on the form on the bed.
Yugi slid his soaked robe from his shoulders, along with his equally wet tunic and shenti. He grinned as he found his husband’s clothing. The dragon plucked a dry shenti from the chest, wrapped it around himself, and climbed onto the bed. He wormed his way under the cloak, his inner warmth creating a cozy cocoon. Atem uncurled slightly, and cuddled into Yugi’s embrace.
He watched the Pharaoh sleep. It was wonderful to finally have someone to love in his arms. He wasn’t alone anymore; would never be alone anymore. His gamble had paid off. Yugi could feel Atem’s heart beat against his own as they synchronized. He hadn’t had the time to tell the other what exactly the role of spouse to one of his kind would mean. He would. Atem had the right to know why he would be glued to him. Why he would growl at any one who comes too close.
Atem was his greatest treasure, his spouse, his mate. Speaking of the Pharaoh, he shifted slightly, blinking blurry crimson eyes at him. Yugi ran his fingers through the lion like mane of red and blond. The god-dragon was happy. For the first time in his life he was happy. This human ruler made him happy, and he could hear it. Yugi’s body vibrated with the rumbling purr of his dragon self he never let go of. The Pharaoh woke more and watched him in wonder.
He stiffened as the dragon crawled on top of him. Yugi placed his head on one perfectly rounded shoulder. His palm slipped down the top of Atem’s crisp shenti, fingers dancing lovingly over the skin of his hip. The divine dragon never went any lower, or made any move toward his manhood. “It is fine, my treasure. I will never do anything against your will. I merely wish to touch your skin. I have so much I need to tell you. I may be a divine dragon, but I am a dragon all the same. There are things you need to be aware of.
“During our first moon cycle together, I will need to be at your side constantly. Dragons are overprotective of what they know and feel is theirs. I will hiss and be aggressive towards anyone I feel threatened by. You are my spouse, and my mate. A dragon only has one mate, and our mates are allowed no other. As the cycle goes on, my instincts will calm. I will be more able to tell a potential rival from friend and family. My kind are also rather territorial, so no one can enter our room anymore.” Atem slipped an arm shakily around Yugi’s waist. The dragon sighed in bliss above him.
“I understand. I was planning on marrying only once.” Atem replied as he gained a little more confidence in the god-dragon’s presence. “Is there some way to conceive a child? Surely with your powerful magic we could?” Yugi chuckled, placing a kiss on the skin of his shoulder.
“Yes. After we have been together for some time, typically a year, I will be able to merge our energies to create our own hatchling. Our young will be brought into the world from a dragon egg. We will have to hold the egg constantly. When you have our young’s egg, it will need to be wrapped to keep it warm enough.” The Pharaoh breathed a sigh of relief. “Atem, later this day, will you give me a tour of our home?”
“Of course. We should rise and dress. I have to assure my people that I am fine, and deliver the news. Would you like to be presented to them as the god-dragon and my royal consort?”
“I would. Must we rise so soon, my treasure? I want to lay with you for a while longer. Being with you like this makes me so happy, Atem. I feared I would be alone forever. Thank you for accepting my hand.” Atem moved his arm, so that his palm slid over the other’s spine.
“Perhaps we could lay here a little longer. I find I am rather comfortable.” Yugi kissed his skin again, before pressing an adoring kiss into his cheek. He smiled so happily at Atem. The Pharaoh’s breath caught softly in his throat. He shifted the dragon up higher on his body, so that their heads were level. He was quickly coming to love gazing into the other’s eyes. “If I slip into sleep again, would you join me?”
“Certainly. I cannot meet my future subjects while I am still weary from bringing the rains. Rest with me, Atem.” The pair fell back asleep to the sound of the rain as it lightened.
---------------
Yugi walked confidently at his husband’s side. His arm was curled around Atem’s, their hands clasped together. They were dressed similarly. Both wore white tunics and shentis, plain beaten gold belts were around their waists. A red cloak flowed from Yugi’s shoulders, while a cloak of royal violet fell from Atem’s. Beaten gold bracers, armlets, and anklets decorated his body as well as the winged crown on his head. Yugi had the same jewelry, save he wore no crown, but a beaded collar of topaz and ruby.
“My treasure, I have had a thought.” The ruler turned to his divine spouse. He motioned for the other to continue. “Wherever shall I sit in your courtroom?”
“I do not know, but you would be a welcome addition to my throne. You may sit on an arm.”
“May I sit in your lap instead?” Yugi asked with mischief in his eyes. Atem flushed slightly, and the dragon would have missed it, if not for his supernatural eyesight. The divine chuckled as they walked. He moved his arm, wrapping it and his other around Atem’s. The god-dragon laid his head on the Pharaoh’s shoulder. He sighed softly in blissful contentment. At least, until the musky scent of a magician reached his nose.
A rather tall man was walking toward them. Atem’s face lit up in happy familiarity. Yugi didn’t like it. This man was familiar to his mate. Why could he make the ruler smile so? What right did he have to make those beautifully tempting lips lift so? A low hiss, that slowly grew in volume to a growl, filled the hall. Atem flung his arm out quickly, the mage stopping an acceptable distance away. The magician’s aqua eyes darted to the form at his Pharaoh’s side. He tilted his head, glancing into his beloved friend’s eyes.
“Peace, Mahado. If you would meet us in the courtroom, my friend, all shall be explained there. Please inform the others that they need to be at a proper distance from my throne.” Atem glanced at his divine spouse. He winced as the other’s nails elongated, accidentally cutting into his skin, but not drawing blood. His eyes widened as he saw the long scarlet red tail trailing behind the other. It trailed behind Yugi for a good three or so feet, the end a prong of three appendages. They were feathery looking, unlike the hardened scale look of his full dragon form. The shape was not unlike the leaves of the large palm trees in his garden.
“What?” Yugi asked as he calmed. His eyes followed his husband’s, catching sight of his most embarrassing feature. His tail. The god-dragon flushed darkly, trying to pull his tail back into his human body. He was still upset, and that made it nearly impossible. “Please, stop looking at it.” He whispered pleadingly. He looked around. The magician must have slipped away as his mate made to calm him.
“Forgive me. I did not mean to offend you, Yugi.” Atem replied as he tore his gaze from the tail. He couldn’t understand why the divine wouldn’t want him looking. He was rather fascinated by the appendage and longed to touch the prongs to see if they were as soft as they looked.
“Oh, no! You did not offend me, Atem. It is just that my tail does not look the same as my true form, and it is rather embarrassing.”
“I like it.” Atem murmured softly. Yugi started as he gazed into the ruler’s eyes. His flushed face darkened even farther as he tried to hide himself from the other’s sight. The Pharaoh chuckled softly, took a deep calming breath, then pressed an uncertain kiss into the god-dragon’s hair. Yugi’s rumbling purr began instantly. Atem smiled to himself. He had calmed the great dragon!
“You can hold it when we sit, as an apology for hurting you. If it is you, my treasure, I do not think I would be as embarrassed to have my tail out.”
-------------------
The Pharaoh raised an eyebrow as his court looked at him, and more particularly the being in his lap. Yugi straddled his lap, his tail curled around one of the ruler’s arms. The minute the appendage had curled about his right arm, the god-dragon melted bonelessly onto his lap. Atem cared not what his court thought. He was becoming rather fond of the purr vibrating the other’s chest pleasantly against his own.
The divine cuddled closer, pushing his face into the crook of the other’s neck. Atem smiled as he rubbed the dragon’s tail softly. His gentle gesture was rewarded with a lazy nuzzle. He wished he could openly wonder at the soft downy feathers covering the appendage. As it stood, he couldn’t. Here, he had to act every bit the Pharaoh his father had raised him to be.
“I have an announcement to make. Our great god-dragon, Slifer, has heard my prayer, and answered by bringing the rains. He asked for one thing in return; my hand in marriage. The being in my lap is our beloved sky dragon, and we have already been wed. Please prepare for the official announcement to the people.” Yugi quickly turned his head toward a female mage. He could smell the scent of herbs on her, so she had to be a healer. She was far too close.
“HE IS MY MATE! STAY AWAY FROM MY MATE!” The dragon’s voice turned into a thunderous roar as he leapt from the ruler’s lap. The human form shifted, and the divine’s true form filled the courtroom. There was chaos as the court raced to escape the room. Atem pushed Isis, his palace healer, out of the room for her own safety. He thanked the other gods that he had been so quick.
“Yugi, come to me.” Atem called as calmly as he could. The massive scarlet head turned to him. A rumbling purr filled the room. The Pharaoh smiled as he knelt down. He patted his folded knees. The dragon lowered his head, the larger of his mouths opening. A long pink tongue licked the ruler’s cheek. The large god-dragon laid down on the floor, head propped on Atem’s knees.
There was something mystical about the ease the Pharaoh had. He smoothed his hand over the scarlet scales. Bright yellow eyes watched his every move. Atem leaned forward, draping his upper body over the god-dragon’s snout. He hummed in response to the dragon’s purr. His eyes slid shut, as something awoke inside him.
His father once spoke of an inner divinity in each Pharaoh. He had explained to an enthralled Atem that each Pharaoh were divine in their own ways. This couldn’t be that, but what was it? It seemed so similar, almost like the thrum of magic that had surrounded him as he spoke his vows to Slifer. It stemmed from an aching loneliness he had never noticed or really felt before. Slifer mewled at him softly as his hands wondered over his scaled face. Atem threw his head back and moaned.
This was spiritual, but it felt as intimate as going to the marshlands with the great dragon. The divine pushed into him gently.  He fell back onto the stone floor. He moaned softly as the chill seeped into his body. Yugi was above him, just as dazed as he was. “What is this?” The Pharaoh asked breathlessly. He moaned loudly as some power crested within him, back arching up into the other’s form.
“Ma’at’s blessing on our union.” The divine answered just as breathless. “I need you.”
“Take me back to our room. I need you too.” Atem panted out between more moans and soft little mewls of pleasure. Yugi swept him into his arms, cradling him close. Boldly the ruler trailed shy kisses over the god-dragon’s neck and shoulder. Scarlet wings burst from the divine’s back. The Pharaoh was amazed as he took in the large appendages. With a flap of the strong wings, the pair were air borne. The dragon flew out into the hall and exited through a high window. The flight to their room was quick.
Yugi eagerly tossed the Pharaoh on their bed. He crawled onto the mattress, capturing merlot eyes with heated violet. The god-dragon unclasped his belt, dropping it, then his bracers and anklets to the floor. The collar of topaz and ruby was removed with the utmost care, and laid on a nearby daybed. The cloak fluttered to the floor, followed by the rest of the divine’s clothing. He said nothing about Atem’s wondering gaze, or the darkening of his face.
The dragon came over to him. He tugged gently at the ruler’s own clothing. When the other made no move to stop him, Yugi began undressing his mate. His crown was tangled in his bangs, and the god-dragon untangled it with care. It ended up on the same daybed as the other’s collar. Atem’s jewelry landed on the floor, along with his cloak. Slowly, the dragon slid his tunic up. The Pharaoh lifted his arms, helping remove the cloth. Violet eyes glanced at him as they searched his face. He relaxed his body as the divine unwrapped his shenti.
A satisfied growl left Yugi as he took in his mate. His hands slid soothingly over the other’s sides before moving to stroke his strong thighs. He barely kept his instincts to spread his mate open and claim him at bay. He needed to fill the ruler with his seed, his claim, and bind them forever more with his magic. Barely visible wisps of scarlet smoke bled from the dragon’s skin. They caressed Atem, curling around him, and searching for a way into him.
Atem was flustered where he lay, submissive to the divine above him. He wasn’t nervous about consummating their union any more, but was he pleasing to the god-dragon’s eyes? Whatever Ma’at’s blessing had awoken inside him called to the other. He needed to feel Yugi within him. Violet eyes found his again, pinning them as warm palms cupped the back of his knees. The divine spread them slowly before positioning the ruler’s lower half in his lap.
“Atem, may I?” The Pharaoh nodded, not trusting himself with words. “Say it. I cannot go to the marshlands with you unless you say it aloud. May I become one with you, my beautiful husband?”
“Yes.” Came the barely audible reply. The dragon captured his lips in a kiss. The ruler sighed blissfully into it. He slid his hands up the other’s arms, over his shoulders, and tangled his fingers into the divine’s hair. It flowed like silk from the Far East through his slender fingers. Yugi pulled away slowly, and moved to trail kisses down his mate’s throat. Atem shifted. A gasp of unexpected pleasure left him as his manhood brushed against the god-dragon’s.
“Easy, treasure. One wrong move and I could hurt you. I never want to hurt you. Let me prepare your body for me?” Warm loving palms rubbed across his belly in small circles. Atem smiled.
“Please be gentle with me. My tutors made sure I knew all the ways one could…hunt in the marshlands, but I have never gone to them with someone else before.”
“I shall be as gentle as I can be.” The divine returned to pressing kisses into the other’s skin. With a wave of his hand, a little clay bowl appeared by the ruler’s hip. The divine lazily swirled a finger in the clear watery like fluid. “Try not to tense your body as I prepare you, Atem. Just trust me not to harm you and relax in my arms.” The finger disappeared from the Pharaoh’s view.
He gasped softly as the digit, now wet and slightly chilled, pressed into him. Atem wanted to tense, wanted to fight the intruding force, but he willed himself to relax. His husband would not harm him. Yugi pressed a little harder; his finger slid into his mate. He murmured soft nothings to the ruler as he moved in and out, rubbing lubricant on his inner walls. He watched with wonder as the Pharaoh shivered when he added another lubed finger. He built the pleasure for his husband as he prepared him in a relaxed, loving pace.
“Atem, are you ready for me? Can I claim you as mine and mine alone?” The ruler looked at the divine. His heart melted a little. The god-dragon was giving him a chance to change his mind. He wanted this marriage. He wanted the dragon. He wanted to belong with the divine. Atem lifted his arms, shyly mumbling his answer. “Mine!”
Yugi slid into his mortal husband with little resistance. He intertwined their bodies flawlessly as he completely filled the other. The Pharaoh groaned softly below him. The dragon froze as he was completely enveloped by the other’s body. Atem reached up, entangling his fingers in the silky hair. Yugi relaxed as he lowered himself. His mate kissed him softly.
“Are you alright, treasure?” He asked. Yugi stroked the side of his mate’s face.
“It feels so strange to have you inside me, but I am fine. Am I …Am I too tight?”
“No, my beautiful mate. You are perfect. I’m going to move.” The dragon withdrew slightly. He started with a shallow, slow pace. A purr left him as the ruler started to fall into the rhythm with him. The dragon’s magic caressed his mate as incoherent sounds left the other. Atem tired of their pace after some time. He tried to move a little faster.
“F-F-Faster, Yugi!” Atem managed to get out. The dragon did as bid, building the pace slowly. The Pharaoh’s hands wondered over the other, gentle fingers finding the slits in his skin. He softly ran his hands over the slits, making Yugi shiver and growl above him. The growl was the only warning Atem received as the divine sat up, bringing the ruler with him. He slid deeper into his mate; the other moaned wantonly.
“Arms around my neck.” Yugi commanded. Atem complied quickly. Steel like hands clamped around his hips, lifting his body effortlessly. The Pharaoh screamed in pleasure as those hands slammed him back down on his husband. His back bowed, throwing his head back. The divine had lost it. He gave into his instincts as the fingers found their way back to his wing slits. His mate made no noise other than the constant string of moans as he was forced into total submission via intense pleasure. The dragon winced as the other let out an ear piercing scream. “Found it.”
“Yu-Yugi!” His poor mortal husband moaned out as he tried to keep pace.
“I know, treasure, I know. Help me get us to the peak of our pleasure.” Unsure, but willing lips met the dragon’s. Atem rode the constant barrage on his body until white hot euphoria stole his sight. He felt more than saw his seed escape his body to cover the god-dragon’s skin. Yugi clutched him closer as the divine coated his core with his claim. His husband’s essence was warm inside the most intimate part of his body.
The Pharaoh’s body quivered as the other stroked his back gently. Purrs of contentment made the divine’s chest vibrate pleasantly against his. Pale fingers danced soothingly over his skin as Yugi held him in his lap. Atem shifted minutely. He gasped softly as he felt the other’s manhood still hard within him. He made to move, but hands tightened around his hips.
“Sh. You are the greatest treasure any dragon could ask for, Atem. Our coupling has caused me to knot with you!” Adoring butterfly kisses were placed on his face and neck. Atem sighed, resigning to having his divine husband inside him a little longer. “I have taken lovers before, but not a single one were worthy of knotting. It seems only fitting that I knot with you, my beloved husband.”
“I am honored.” Atem mumbled sleepily. He felt pride well up inside him. He had done what no other being ever had. He was the only one to have the great god-dragon’s knot attached to him and his seed within his body. The ruler hummed. The sated, happy sound was music to Yugi’s ears.
“Rest, Mate.” He spoke softly as he pressed a kiss into Atem’s hair.
-----------
Atem woke surrounded by warmth. It was far too warm, but he cared not. One crimson eye cracked open. Yugi’s true dragon form was curled around him. The divine was no longer connected to him, but coils of his body were entangled with the ruler’s lower half. The dragon form was smaller than the other times he had been in it. The Pharaoh hummed softly as he reached to bring the divine’s head closer to him. A bright yellow eye opened.
Slifer shifted, placing his head in the mortal’s arms. The ruler stroked the scarlet scales lovingly. He gasped as the dragon’s scales moved over his still bare skin. The coils squeezed him gently. A noise similar to the chuffle of an exotic tiger left the divine. A snout nuzzled into the Pharaoh’s belly affectionately. The mortal flushed as the divine glanced up.
It has been some time since we hunted together in the marshlands, and you are still so sensitive. How are you feeling? Are you sore?
“My body is sore, but the aches are not as painful as I thought they would be.” Atem replied as his hand smoothed over the coil of scales around his hips.
I massaged your body after my knot receded, so you would not hurt so. The heat my body naturally generates helped soothe your muscles too. The Pharaoh cooed, trying to curl around his divine husband’s head. He frowned when the coils of scales tightened. Move slowly, my treasure. I do not want you to hurt yourself from moving too fast too soon. Perhaps I could persuade you into the bath soon?
“How soon?” Atem asked as he slowly curled around the divine. He cradled Slifer’s head closer to him.
Very. Your guards are rather anxious to storm into our den. I believe they think I have harmed you. Now, shall I take you to our bathing chamber?
“If you must, my husband. Will you join me?” The Pharaoh rose carefully, somehow untangling his body from the serpentine one on the bed. The dragon followed him through a hidden doorway. The royal bath was an open room, sheer linen of crisp sand color billowing in the breeze. Storm winds filled the space, cooling the over hearted stones. Slifer slipped into the bath, morphing effortlessly back into his human form. Atem climbed in after him.
Yugi wrapped his arms around his mate, catching his scent on the other. A growl of possession left him in a low hum. His hands rubbed the ruler’s hips, carefully gentle in their movement. The Pharaoh laid back, head resting on the basin’s edge. He let the other bathe him. The ruler relaxed even more with each caring touch.
“Brother? Brother, we’ve come to bring fresh flowers.” A female voice from their bedroom made the god-dragon start.
“My half-sisters. They are younger than I, and are the palace flower girls. I forgot they would come today. Please, do not harm them!” Violet eyes glanced at him. The dragon huffed, but was docile at his side. “Thank you, Yugi.”
“They are family?” He asked softly. Atem pulled him into his arms.
“Yes.” The Pharaoh smiled. “Beloved One, Joyful One, please wait a moment more. I shall be out of the bath shortly. I wish for you to meet my husband.” A woman head’s appeared around the entrance. Mahogany red hair flowed around her face in untamed curls. Dark brown eyes glittered happily as she nodded. Yugi tilted his head as she disappeared.

For the Fun, but Specific OC question meme (with any OC, you pick!): 2, 7, 8, 10, 17, 19 & 20! ^^
Since @xerohn-alighieri is missing both Xero and Nessiah, I’m gonna do them! This one is for you, my dear ;3
2. Say your OC made a playlist on Spotify. What bands would be on that playlist? Any specific genres?
Xero would probably just have instrumentals and mainly classic music! Lots of piano and orchestra and that sorta thing!
Nessiah would probably have lots of alt-rock and some pop rock as well? Think Imagine Dragons, probably some Thirty Seconds to Mars, and even Maroon 5 and such. I kinda see Nessiah just kinda liking random songs instead of entire bands.
7. What kind of animals would they like as a pet? What names would they give their pets if they got any? If they already have pet's what are their names?
OKAY SO IT’S 100% CANON THAT Xero gets a pet dragon!! In Pandimoria (the place he’s from) they have these small little dragons roughly the size of a medium dog? So he has one of those! He hatched it from an egg himself, so it imprinted on him and likes to curl in his lap like a cat.
Nessiah has an entire aviary! I know for a fact he keeps parakeets, love birds, and even has a toucan. He would also probably have some song birds and parrots as well. Just... lots of birbs. So many birbs.
I haven’t figured out names for all their pets, though :(
8. How does your OC keep track of time? Do they have a planner? A calendar?
Honestly, Xero keeps track of time via his daily routine. If he breaks from said routine, he’d keep an itinerary down to the very hour of what he is supposed to be doing to keep up the feeling of routine and stop himself from panicking.
Nessiah doesn’t give a fuck about planning or anything and doesn’t really bother keeping track of time besides checking his phone every once in a while. He mainly just goes along with Xero.
10. What's their favorite time of day?
Xero likes noon as that’s when it’s bright out and he has an entire day in front of him.
Nessiah likes night as it’s dark, quiet, and he can sleep.
17. If your OC was a musical artist, what genres would they do?
Both Nessiah and Xero can play instruments!
Xero can play the piano and sticks to classic music only.
Nessiah can play the piano and the bass, but usually sticks to bass and plays both classic pieces for practice, but also plays pop culture songs, sound tracks from movies and such, and things like that.
19. Does your OC like to collect things? What kind of things do they collect?
Xero collects floral tea sets!
Nessiah doesn’t really collect anything.
20. Was your OC inspired by anything? Another character? A person?
Tbh The Power of One kinda started as an AU a really long time ago, but was legit an AU for about an hour before me and Angel decided we liked it as an original story instead.
So like... honestly the story now is literally NOTHING like the original AU (which was based off like... the princess protection program or something like that lol)
However, I don’t really know what Xero and Nessiah are based off? I mean their original incarnations are so totally different than who they are now, it’s like they are completely different characters.
So... I can’t really say they are based off anyone/anything. They just kinda evolved into who they are over time.

However, unlike the pacifistic Avatar Aang, Yume will not hesitate to kill if she thinks it's nessisary. While Yume can be very kind and polite when she wants to, she also has a tendancy towards hostility. She's often patient and kind to those that need her help or those that are weak/in bad situations, but will become hostile towards people with status or wealth if they even slightly ruffle her feathers. Especially those who refuse to show empathy towards others. While the young Avatar often acts aloof and emotionally detached at times, deep down she's very lonely and craves companionship. While very empathetic, if those she's trying to help scorn her bad enough, she will become hostile.
Theme Song: In The End by Linkin Park Song Quote: "What it meant to me, will eventually be a memory..." General Quote: "Quoth the Raven, 'Nevermore.'" - Edgar Allen Poe "The Raven" Character Quotes: -(To Zuko)Flameo, Hotman! -(After losing Draco)How I feel about Draco is irrelevant, right now we need to focus on getting to Ba Sing Se. -(To Zuko)I'd tell you to stay flamin', but honestly you need to chill. -Even the most vicious winter cannot kill the flowers of spring. I am more than my flesh and bone. You cannot kill me in a way that matters(totally got this part from a shitpost about mushrooms).
-Each of us is a speck of light that shines in an eternity of darkness. Although our lights will all fade and blink out, it does not matter that the darkness lasts longer. What matters is that we were there to defy it in the first place.
General Notes: -Uses outdated Fire Nation slang. -As much as she says "Fuck the World", she cares very deeply about it and the people in it. -She does eventually make peace with herself and learns how to bend lightning. -A bit of a nihilist. Also fairly existential. Lets just say, don't engage her in a philisophical conversation or contemplate your place in the universe with her. You will regret it. And existence in general.
Backstory: Somewhere, Mina the Dark Avatar drew her last breath. And just like that, Yume drew her first. Yume was born to Yuna and Akon in the Fire Nation. Soon after her birth, Akon broke off his relationship with Yuna, who moved back to her parents in the Northern Water Tribe with her two children. When Yume was two she got separated from her mother. Lost and afraid, little Yume wandered about until she came across a tall man in red. Normally, tall strangers would scare Yume, but the man was familiar. She didn't know why, but she knew that his name was Roku, and he was safe. She tugged on him and despite being in a serious meeting, he took a break to find Yume's mom and reunite the two. When the elder Avatar was questioned, he claimed that the child was the newest incarnation of the Dark Avatar. When Yume turned five, she showed her first signs of bending: Sparks. Yuna realised that Yume would likely have to leave for the Fire Nation soon, as no fire masters lived in the North Pole. And an uncontrolled firebender is a disaster waiting to happen. When Yume was six, she was taken in by the Fire Sages. The official reason was just firebending training, but even Yuna found it strange the Sages wanted a random half-breed from the North Pole. But of course the real reason for their intervention was yes, firebending training, but also because Yume was the Fire Nation Avatar and they had recieved a dark omen concerning the Avatar. They thought the best course of action would be to keep a close eye on her and protect her. Once in the Fire Nation, Yume is finally freed of the stifiling cold of the north and no longer has her excess energy going towards keeping herself warm. So naturally she becomes a little bit of a terror in the temple. She pulls constant pranks on the Sages and apprentices, but they love her anyway. She keeps the Sages young. When she turn's eight, the Sages surprise Yume with a dragon egg. The egg hatches and eventually becomes her life-long companion: Draco. At age twelve, Yume first meets Aang, a small Air Nomad boy. The two are fast friends. Yume makes an effort to hang out with Aang everytime he visits the Fire Nation. When Yume turns sixteen she finally masters firebending and the Sages reveal to her that she is the Dark Avatar. She takes the news okay, she isn't sure how to feel about it. She supposes it isn't all bad, maybe she'll get to see Aang while airbending training. However, she's kidnapped by the spirits and sent to the void before her training can begin proper.
