So I just remembered hearing that spinda had a ton of forms for some reason, so I decided to look up just how many. The answer I got on Google was 4,294,967,296 different patterns not including shiny versions of those patterns! There are probably shiny spindas that have never been caught before! Who was sitting on the team of game freak and thought "Hmmm 🤔 I wonder how many different patterns of a Pokemon I'm allowed to make?" And then actually tried it! I'd be more understanding if they gave it like 60 forms as a joke but 4,294,967,296? Really?

Alright, it looks like most of the pokemon that had been flagged for rehoming passed their health checks with the exception of one that has a concerning cough and will be kept with us for the time being. Anyone that was interested in the adoption of any of these pokemon is welcome to take a look at the paperwork to fill out on the GES Website, where all of the pokemon's profiles will be listed as well.

Hiya!! Really adore your Pokemon facts. Just want to ask if Spinda is bothered by its dizziness. There’s a kid I tutor sometimes that gets really upset when she sees Spinda because she feels sorry for it. Thanks!!
for the most part, no. their tottering steps are actually an evolutionary advantage! their spotty pattern, in combination with their unpredictable movements, makes it much harder for foes to target them with success. it's hard not to see things from our human perspective, but studies have shown that spinda process the world differently than we do and have a different sense of proprioception than we do. they are, to themselves, effectively walking in a "straight line."
what we have also determined, though, is that movement is more taxing to spinda than it is to us. their stumbling movement is much more energy intensive than a more regular form of locomotion, both physically and mentally. spinda get tired more quickly and require longer periods of recovery. so, it does have an impact on them, but it's a trade-off that has worked out for them so far. so, no need to feel sorry for them!

Rollcall - Part 2 (Part 1)
‘I can’t fight this battle for you, but I can promise to stay by your side.’
The words rang in her mind, a reminder of her greatest lie, and a testament to what she left behind. When she said those words, she had meant them. She just didn’t know how little time she had left.
Still, even though her words had been made a lie, she couldn’t regret them. Given another chance, she would say them again, and again, every single time, and she would stay by his side for as long as she could. Team Rollout would go down in history, she was just sorry she couldn’t be there to see it.
She couldn’t remember much after defeating Dialga, just saying goodbye to Phanpy, and watching as Temporal Tower grew small in the distance. As she’d ascended higher, more of her senses had begun to fade. Her touch went first, followed by her sight. It had bothered her greatly. There isn’t much to smell, taste or hear in space, but a moment longer in which she could see Phanpy, feel him beside her, would that have been a mercy, or would it have stretched unbearably?
As the thoughts ran rampant through her mind, she noticed something odd. A cold rush of air, the sensation of falling: she could feel?
A dull blue light appeared and for the first time in months, her eyes fluttered open. Dialga’s silhouette could be seen in the light and its voice boomed. ‘Young one, your sacrifice was a noble one, and I thank you. Now, I repay your kindness. My apologies for the delay.’
The light flashed and her head spun with sudden dizziness, but as it passed, she noticed something. She could hear a noise, like waves crashing. There was something underfoot, coarse, and rough. The fading light of day was warm on her skin.
Opening her eyes, her jaw dropped. As if she was seeing it for the first time all over again, she couldn’t believe the sunset could be so beautiful. She didn’t want to look away, afraid that it would disappear, and this would all be revealed as a cruel fantasy; it wouldn’t be the first time.
Whether this was real or not, there was something she had to do. Hurrying to the waterside, she gazed upon her reflection and couldn’t help but smile. Just like all that time ago, she had awoken on the beach outside Treasure Town as a Spheal. Only this time she had her memories, and a clear mission.
Rolling as fast as she could, she raced along the path towards the crossroads. Past Spinda’s café and up the stairs. Straight over the grate, she rolled into Wigglytuff’s, quickly making her way to the second floor.
No one was around, the guild almost seemed deserted, but the laughter emanating from the mess hall gave them away. Slowing her pace, she breathed deeply and wandered into the mess hall. For a moment, she watched them from the shadows. Her family, they were all right there.
Stepping into the light, she called, ‘is there a plate for me?’
In an instant, the guild fell silent, the only noise belonging to the crackle of the torches and a dull thud as Wigglytuff’s perfect apple fell to the floor. As quickly as the silence had fallen, it was shattered as everyone lost their damn minds.
The guild exploded in a cacophony as Spheal was mobbed and nearly crushed under the aggressively affectionate group hug. Phanpy barrelled through his friends to reach Spheal and he threw himself upon her. He clutched at her desperately as tears spilled forth and she returned the gesture with equal fervour. The guild members retreated a moment, allowing the pair some space to just hold each other.
Wigglytuff stepped close again, laying a gentle hand on Spheal’s back. ‘Welcome home.’
The next day Team Rollout would have to venture into Apple Woods again because the guild’s pantry was devoured as they partied late into the night.
When Phanpy awoke, he greeted the day with a cheerful, ‘good morning!’
Which was met a moment later but Spheal’s half-asleep, ‘morming.’
They gathered for morning assembly, bellowed their cheers and during rollcall Spheal yelled, ‘eleven!’
Phanpy’s eager - ‘twelve!’ – only a moment behind.
Months had passed since the events of Temporal Tower. Time had been restored, life had returned to normal for near every Pokemon, and two faces had returned to Treasure Town. Phanpy’s partner had come home, and so had the sincerity in Phanpy’s smile.
At the edge of the crossroads, they did their final checks before leaving for Apple Woods, and with a shared smile, they yelled, ‘let’s roll out!’

A story about a Clown
Sweet Tooth’s very own lil guy circus, now travelling Kalos! A performance where only one man comes out on top, the clown himself. Aged somewhere between middle aged and “Young as a berry”, this clown will have you wishing you never crossed paths with such an entertaining enemy. He won’t wipe your party without cracking a few jokes along the way. He’s not afraid to play dirty, but for the sake of good showman ship he’ll start off fair.
Which would be fair information if I didn’t write it myself, huh? You never know when the shows gonna start, so make sure you have your tickets ready! Or don’t! You didn’t really have a choice. Participation IS mandatory! My pronouns are He/Him, but if don’t worry about forcing the words out of your mouth when you’re warning your friends about the c-c-c-c-c-c-clown.

Machete: A rather interesting looking Honedge with a bit of edge. Pretty sharp, if ya know what I mean.
Mimo: A Mr. Mime with a wonderful outfit! A Fire/Psychic type with a cute outfit to match her trainer’s, what’s not to love!
Vani: A Strawberry Flavored Vanillite with a very creative name! Cherry on top and sprinkles!
Pretty Kitty: A sylveon that isn’t really expected to fight, just to look pretty for the show! All dressed up with the cutest little outfit, they’re the perfect distraction for any ambush. (to be designed)
Dizzy: They say no two Spinda are alike, but they can be if you make yourself dizzy enough! This dude’s all dressed up in his clown best! A classic puffy little outfit that’s sure to make you forget the trainer behind him. (to be designed)
Squishy: A Banette with a rather silly look to her. There’s no time like the present, and Squishy’s little tricks will have you rolling on the ground with laughter! (to be designed)
now for some ooc info.
hi! names padfoot! i am an adult, so this entire blog is adult run. this is my first time running something like this on tumblr!!! so i am very excited! Sweet Tooth is adapted from the Twisted Metal series! I say adapted because he has been tweaked just a bit to fit the setting, but he’s still a loveable evil clown either way. everything will be tagged either with basic pkmnirl or rp tags :)
as far as everything goes, the concept of adapting him in this way, his design, and his first three pokemon are all credited to @moderator-monnie and @lazy-charlie ! the current pfp and the forever existing reference art was done by lazy-charlie!
pfp and banner will be updated with the full cast at some point or another, but for now its just the truck and such. the other three pokemon will be drawn up and posted whenever i’m able to do digital art again, so far now text based description is all you get :(
dni is basic, no nsfw (suggestive is ok!!!), no type of hate fuelled phobias, no slurs, no zoos maps or drama starters. if i dont respond please dont get too upset about it, i will try and make responses to everyone that i can but if i miss you feel free to try again! just dont spam. as stated, i am an adult so i do have an adult life i need to tend too alongside this silly little project.
for now responses will remain text, in the future some may be drawn if i cant find the words for things but we will see!
