Problem solving at work today. Broke a shelf and my coworker and I just put it back into the wall and propped it up with a desk.

deadlines and to-do’s so bad, my flat has never been cleaner

nonna olga’s bring-to-everything yogurt cake to which i added tons of orange zest, fresh grated ginger, ground ginger, and ground cardamom, plus i baked it in a bundt pan. i always use olive oil for this which is so nice w the orange and spices :-) gm

#I'm not ungrateful! at all! this vacuum is really nice #especially considering my partner came into the marriage with a 20y.o. vacuum he refuses to get rid of even though it sucks (derogatory)#but we now have one upright vacuum per human and one hand-held vacuum per pet #my dad just... loves vacuums so much?#I half expect him to buy one for the baby #and he knows I have asthma and allergies so he's being really thoughtful in his own “how do I fix this with gadgets" way #as a gag gift for christmas I bought him one of those little desk toy kirby hand vacuums that is like doll sized #he did not get the joke

In good news, the cold medicine seems to have finally kicked in so I’m no longer falling asleep at my laptop. In bad news, the antihistamine-induced cleaning urge has also kicked in so I’m no longer falling asleep at my laptop in part because I have rearranged 75% of the furniture in my apartment

#I’m not satisfied and don’t know what’s wrong with it now >:(((#going to go make myself do some actual work and try again after that tho lol #debating if I want to try flipping my desk and couch but I think that’s going to cause problems #since my desk will stick out like 4’ into the room #and the only blank wall for my projector #is where the couch would be #also I don’t like having my bookshelf over alone in the entryway but idk what to put there instead #like i guess I could do my record player but that feels weird?#my Swiss ball is a problem but there’s really only the one spot that works for it #hnnn #at least I can open my balcony door all the way now and have more room for when I need to move all the plants inside #the bedroom is also :/#i like the rearrangement of my mirror/dresser/keyboard #but my bed feels weird #like maybe i need to rotate it?#but the walls are so janky that that’s hard to do without weird gaps #hm #personal #everything needs vacuumed and dusted too @__@#no wonder my throats so sore when there is so much dust hiding everywhere
