Very quick and lazy sketch, but I really wanted to draw something with them 😭😭😭

Harry Potter still blamed himself for Cedric Diggory's death, despite everyone telling him that it wasn't his fault at all. He didn't believe anyone - not Ron, not Hermione, not Ginny. He spent his life thinking he killed Cedric, despite everyone he loved telling him it was Voldemort.

And he continues to believe it until he hears his son, Albus Severus Potter, say he blames himself for the death of Craig Bowker Jr.

And it is in that moment that Harry realises he was never to blame because if he was to blame for Cedric's death then Albus was to blame for Craig's. And Harry knows that Albus didn't kill Craig. He knows that was Delphi. And he hates that Albus blames himself.

It is Albus that helps Harry heal from that trauma. And I think that's so beautiful. It plays such an important part of their father-son relationship.

Does anyone else feel that Delphi was creepy or is it just me...?

For a while, when I first read the book(this was before I discovered that Delphi was evil) and before I figured out the maths, I kind of shipped Delphi and Albus. Albus obviously had a crush on Delphi and it seemed like Delphi flirted with Albus for a while. When she pecked Albus' cheeks, I was glad. When I soon realised that Delphi was evil, I was like, "Damn!". The fact that she manipulated him was a bummer, but I was too young to consider how creepy it was.

A year later, out of curiosity, I tried to calculate most of the HP character's ages and discovered that Delphi would've been 22-23 at the time of the play. Suddenly, those flirty lines were very creepy and that peck on the cheek was weird. Considering that at that time, I was well aware that Delphi heavily manipulated Albus and studied him so well that she knew how to bend him to will, you can see where my thoughts went.

Then, for another year, I denied it. We know that Albus had a crush on Delphi, but obviously, Delphi had no interest. Maybe I read too closely in the "flirty lines"; she did mention that they were friends. I could be struck with the classic "two friends of opposite gender must be lovers" syndrome. I had never been in a relationship; how was I to know what flirting was like? So I ignored it.

Then I got access to the Cursed Child bootleg. And I saw it. Delphi was definitely acting flirty and I couldn't deny it. In addition, in every platform 9 and 3/4 scene, she was lurking about and spying on Albus. When she was with her uncle, she kept peering at where Albus was. It just seemed so creepy. I was getting shivers everytime she acted good when I knew it was an act of manipulation. She seemed to know a lot about Albus. That was when I realized that even if she hadn't been flirty, it still would've been creepy. Manipulating and stalking a literal child is a no no.

Today, me and my friends were talking about random stuff and somehow landed into a convo about creepy shit. And when I mentioned about Delphi and Albus, their reactions... were something. One of them literally noped out of the conversation, the other was repeatedly saying about how she is a p*do and another exclaimed, "She groomed him!"

I kinda was relieved that I wasn't the only one who found the whole thing weird, but I mostly see posts about ppl wanting her to not be in prison, poor girl, etc. So I am wondering, do any of you also find her creepy? Or am I looking into this too much?

Okay, so the new Cursed Child on Broadway trailer gave us this lovely close-up of Delphi:

Which is awesome in and of itself but look at her necklace!

It’s the same one Bella wears in the movies!

I’ll admit this is a thought that first occurred to me when I initially saw the play years ago and noticed Delphi had a necklace in the first place but I wasn’t close enough to get a good look at it so it was strictly headcanon until now! (And yes, I know the movies aren’t fully canon but Bellatrix having the necklace doesn’t contradict anything in book canon, so that’s good enough for me.)

I just love that Delphi is wearing her mother’s necklace! She spends so much of the play talking about her father but I believe she deeply loved and wanted both her parents back and this necklace was all she had left of one of them. (Maybe both if you subscribe to the headcanon that the necklace was given to Bella by Voldemort.)

Here it is, the cursed child of my imagination. Based on my ridiculous dream, as written here. It's ugly, stupid and looks half-finished, but it's mine and I still love it.

It makes me laugh a little that Delphi has some emo traits in her look. She has visibly dyed hair, with colored tips, dark denim and comfortable clothes, a choker necklace and dark makeup. Let's say that from the images released online I find her looking more like an emo muggle than a black witch.
