This hulking, misogynist barbarian king demands Cahl's wings be removed so they can fit the royal ideal of masculinity. Honeysuckle is finally moving in with her girlfriend but on the day of, the sky opens up and starts raining crystal spikes.
This is an interesting sort of apocalypse but Joe pulls it off well with all the sad, scary, and touching notes a story like this needs to hit. Other than the…

I’ve been reading a lot of comics lately. Since July, they’ve been my latest addiction (obsession). So, I’m thinking I’ll start reviewing the ones I’m reading. Let’s start with a brand new one, Specs by David M. Booger, Chris Sheehan, and Roman Stevens. It is published by Boom! Studios and Issue #1 released in November 2022.
This is a fantastic start to a new series. It centers on a pair of magic glasses and what happens when your wishes really do come true. I’m looking forward to seeing how the progresses and love the cliffhanger! The art is a little muted in colors, but it works since the story is a flashback to 1987. Overall, this is a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ win for me.

1983 “Dungeons & Dragons” Cartoon Lives Again as a Comic Book Miniseries
Remember in 1983 the cartoon where six kids rode a magic roller coaster that transported them to the Forgotten Realms? IDW is celebrating Dungeons & Dragons: Saturday Morning Adventures 40th Anniversary with a new comic miniseries. The “lost episodes” hail from writers David M. Booher and Sam Maggs and artist George Kambadais. Each issue will features three covers - Cover A by Kambadais, Cover B by Brenda Hickey, and a Retailer Incentive Cover by Tim Levins.
“Noble ranger Hank, intrepid acrobat Diana, quiet thief Sheila, impulsive barbarian Bobby, fearful cavalier Eric, and uncertain magician Presto only want to get back to their own world. But escaping the Realms has turned out to be much harder than getting there! Danger lurks at every turn, the enigmatic Dungeon Master is less than helpful, and Venger—the force of evil—will stop at nothing to get his hands on the magical weapons that the kids have come to rely on. To top it off, Hank has made a startling discovery: Despite the dangers, Sheila, Bobby, Diana, and the others aren’t so sure they want to go home after all!” (IDW Publishing)
Dungeons & Dragons: Saturday Morning Adventures #1 (of 4) goes on sale in March 2023.
