#Daft Punk Medley

Me at like ~14 years old, listening to Pentatonix's Daft Punk Medley and hearing Avi Kaplan's "ohhhhh yeah" vocal bass slide:
"Oh wow, I hope this doesn't awaken anything in me!"

i just had a dream during which i was marvelling at the little-known ‘fact’ that pentatonix members scott and mitch were actually daft punk on the side. and i was just amazed by their range and the lack of overlap between the two projects’ styles. and how classy and mysterious it was that they and their entourage never seemed to acknowledge it.

Maybe its just bc i didnt grow up with it as a cultural thing but no matter how much propaganda the americans make yall will not convince me making a full musical arrangement with just singing isnt the coolest thing ever

Thanks to @U1F0C7 for this art piece!

Get Lucky — VoicePlay music video
youtube
What do you do when there's a three month gap between filming a reality competition show and the episodes actually airing? If you're VoicePlay, you fill some of that time by taking one of the summer's biggest hits and making it your own. Who needs all those fancy synthesizers when you've got six talented voices like these?
Details:
title: Get Lucky (feat. Honey Larochelle)
original performers: Daft Punk, featuring Pharrell Williams & Nile Rodgers
written by: Thomas Bangalter, Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, Nile Rodgers, & Pharrell Williams
arranged by: Layne Stein
release date: 19 September 2013
My favorite bits:
Eli busting out some tasty riffs
Layne keeping the beat crisp and interesting
passing ♫ "We're up. All night. To get." ♫ between Tony, Geoff, and Earl to make those clean pitch changes
that quick staccato on the ♫ "Up-up-up-up" ♫ line leading into Honey's smooth ♫ "boogie" ♫ and Geoff's deep ♫ "down" ♫
those syncopated harmonies from the standing trio punctuated by that crunchy ♫ "All night to get WILD!" ♫
pulling back to end on the simplicity of Honey, Eli, and Earl
Trivia:
This video was filmed in a local hair salon after hours.
VoicePlay had hoped to perform "Get Lucky" on The Sing-Off, but it didn't work out, even though the original is owned by Sony Entertainment, who also produced the show. (Probably because the producers knew that season 3 winners Pentatonix were scheduled to release their own Daft Punk medley including the song a mere month before the season 4 premiere.)

I wanted to kick the clouds of gloom away to another post.
Gloom Clouds sounds like a Cure song or cover band.
If Robert and the A team hadn't gone to the Hall of Fame the B team would have blazed thru a medley. I doubt Michael would have played A Forest tho. Perry would have made his mark as the only member to have played keyboards, guitar, and bass on that song during a performance.
Perry's native instrument is the bass, the singer from Love Amongst Ruin said they would play A Forest during warm ups, and you just know in the back of your mind the moment he got a copy of A Forest and taught himself to play it he pretended to be Simon at least once. He said he saw The Cure shortly after Simon and Mathieu joined and has man crushed on Robert ever since.
I do have a couple of baby plot bun buns in my head, another idea for that Daft Punk story I started here with them at the performing arts school and a Cure one that probably isn't going to happen its self but if I write the idea out I might be able to use it elsewhere.
And there's been another revelation in the Spider-Man things I'm trying to get together but which could also work out as a more original idea.
So with all the anxiety and such my creativity is trying to go on.
I also traced the little Butterick doll pattern I thought was lost forever because I want to trace some rag dolls on to cotton panels then color them with Inktense for future whatever.
More like trace around them because some of the fabric is opaque flour sack.
Still haven't gotten the band Ghost dolls out of my system I just need to figure out the engineering.

Prenotazioni e biglietti: intero € 10, ridotto € 8 (under 25, over 65). Informazioni www.visiturbania.com oppure rivolgersi all'Ufficio Turismo di Urbania 0722313140 - [email protected]. #notizie #news #breakingnews #cronaca #politica #eventi #sport #moda Read the full article
