1) the actual dr who season
2) the much cooler version of the same season created, goncharov-like, by fans theorizing about what everything could mean, which will slowly dissipate like sand running thru an hourglass as more and more episodes come out

"Sound" as a concept was incredibly important to Maestro's character and The Devil's Chord as a whole. It has also been at the center of many other Doctor Who stories as well, including the 2003 Robert Shearman audio Scherzo. The antagonist of Scherzo, the Sound Creature, fed on sound in a way similar to how Maestro fed on songs.
