A good son should come home
After going through five foster homes, Miles Spider Socorro is taken in by the warm Sully family, and after going through the adjustment period, the dream and hope of finally having a family seems very real.

Spider does his part of the deal. The first few meetings are a hell of a lot of stress for the boy and everyone realizes it, but no matter how much Spider is questioned, he makes up lies and deflects the scare. As the months pass, however, Spider becomes comfortable in his father's presence, and even begins to enjoy the company. And it would all be great if Quaritch were not a manipulative bastard who exploits his son's insecurities so that he becomes emotionally dependent him. The phrases like "You know they only tolerate you" "They're nice to you because they feel sorry for you" "You're like a cuckoo bird in the nest, so no one wanted to keep you" "No one will ever love you like me I do, kid".
Spider always denies it, but these words bring out all his insecurities and every day ring so true for him. And him gets to the point where he begins to entertain the idea of leaving with his father and ceasing to be a hindrance.
Eventually everything is figured out and Spider gets the help he needs, but by then the kid has already developed an attachment to Quaritch and believes his lies, so this will be a way to go.

Jake was going crazy.

Quaritch and spider were in the cafeteria, the day had started and they were going to start the mission, the problem was that spider didn't want to eat the cafeteria food
"I know it tastes horrible, but it's your only option right now"claim.

Stephen Lang (Nueva York, Estados Unidos, 11 de julio de 1952) es un actor estadounidense.
Obtuvo una nominación para los Premios Tony por la obra "The Speed of Darkness" en 1991, como parte de una destacada participación en los teatros de Broadway.
También en la televisión Lang ha colaborado en numerosas producciones encarnando personajes como "Babe Ruth" y "George Washington"; y diversos roles en series tales como "Crime Story", "Law & Order", "Salem e Into the Badlands".
En el cine, Lang es conocido por su papel del Coronel Miles Quaritch en la película seminal de 2009 de James Cameron, “Avatar”.
En 2016, encarnó con excelentes críticas al Hombre Ciego en el exitoso thriller del guionista y director Fede Alvarez "No respires", y retomó su papel protagonista en la secuela de la película, "No respires 2”. Sus papeles más recientes en el cine incluyen "La ciudad perdida" para Paramount con Sandra Bullock y Channing Tatum y la muy esperada "The Independent" con Brian Cox, Jodie Turner-Smith y Ann Dowd. Ok, this idea does not leave my head! What if Na'vi fangs had paralyzing toxins? Like morphine or anesthesia. They bite, inject the toxin, and the victim is rendered unconscious or lethargic.
I imagine they use their fangs when fighting in defiance, the bite serving as subjugation. Parents use this on their children to calm them down when they are overly upset and anxious or even to put them in their place when they are being overly challenging. The sites of the bites are on the back of the neck and shoulder, on the neck it is for subjugation, domination, on the shoulder it is more for comfort, it relaxes, like a tranquilizer that makes you sleepy.
I imagine Quaritch did this twice with Spider in the months they spent together. The first time was when Spider tried to run away and was caught of course, the boy curses, screams and thrashes around like crazy, so Quaritch, in the heat of the moment, instinctively bites his son's neck to subdue him. He did it carelessly and when Spider lands on him with the back of his head bleeding, he panics and decides never to use that method again. Spider still feels the effects of the bite the next day. The second and last time he did this was when attacking the village. Spider was upset, shaken and agitated, there was only one thing Quaritch could do to calm the kid down. However, he bites his son's shoulder, firmly but more gently than the first time. Spider is not unconscious this time, but very sleepy, complacent.
Bonus, at the end of the battle, when things are calm (Neteyam is alive, ok), Spider is now Jake's son, it's official. At some point, Spider becomes distressed and anxious, very agitated, no words of comfort from Jake are helping, so he decides to use the bite, but when he brushes Spider's hair aside to get better access to his shoulder, he sees the bite marks Quaritch. Obviously he is furious, but manages to calm down to bite Spider gently.
The other family members find out about it and don't like it. Spider has mixed feelings.

El villano de la primera entrega de Avatar y quien confirma que estará en la secuela piensa que Avatar 2 sobrepasará Avengers: Endgame en la taquilla en su estreno. Hablamos de Stephen Lang, quien estuvo en una entrevista reciente con The National, donde confirmó que a pesar de presuntamente morir a finales de Avatar, su personaje Coronel Miles Quaritch estará regresando a la franquicia en esta nueva secuela. No solo esto, sino también expresó que “espera” que Avatar 2 sobrepase a Endgame en la taquilla. Para ello, Avatar 2 tendría que producir más de los $2,797,800,565 de Endgame en ingresos, tras la primera entrega de Avatar contar con $2.790 mil millones en el 2009. Esto la posicionó como la película más taquillera por 10 años, hasta que llegó Endgame para quitarle el trono. En cuanto a su personaje, Lang expresó satisfacción al ver que su personaje fue “valorado lo suficiente” para que Cameron y el equipo lo trajera de vuelta, aunque se desconoce si será en forma de villano, o con un cambio tras el actor insinuar una evolución para el personaje. Es satisfactorio tener más tiempo para descubrir a Quaritch, descubrir que es lo que lo hace funcionar, hablar sobre el, y con suerte sobrepasar las expectativas que las personas tienen del personaje; crear nuevas expectativas”, expresó Lang al respecto, asegurando que James Cameron examinará el personaje en más detalle. Ha evolucionado, definitivamente. Estamos haciendo 4 filmes adicionales, así que si no evoluciona, estamos en un serio problema. Y no siempre es una pregunta de evolución, es sobre volverse más profundamente envuelto. Todavía lo estoy descubriendo. Dicho sus expresiones, veremos qué exactamente traerá a la mesa Cameron con este personaje, y si seguirá siendo un villano, si regresará cambiado o como antihéroe, o si el cambio se dará gradualmente a través de los 4 filmes, si es que Lang realmente insinúa que estará en las demás películas.
