It just kinda felt, to me at least like since they were introduced as a pair that if one's a secondary they should both be.

He did in fact break his leg while filming the show! This is because Hiroshi Fujioka wasn't just the actor for Takeshi Hongou, he was also the actor for Kamen Rider -- ie he was the person in the suit as well!! After his injury they swiftly moved to using a stuntperson for in-suit stunts

oh yeah, but the base pokemon Knows poison moves. even thought the fairy pokemon are good against the dark tera, which does make it the single type, the pokemon still knows its original moves. i've done a bunch of raids and its so painful to watch people bring those and then they die after one or two hits. 4 star and up raids really make you make full use of your pokemon knowledge, which is honestly kinda fun; its an interesting challlenge to see that i actually have to have a variety of high level pokemon instead of just my main team, in order to account for these types of raids

I might've had more to say about him a few years ago but like... he's a kid. He's an asshole for a while, but he learns after constant failure that being an asshole isn't the way to achieve his dreams. There's not really much more to it than that? I feel like they could've handled his arc better, maybe gave you more to do with him, but I don't think that's wasted potential because he did all he needed to do. He's fine

well, davies, moffat, and chibnall are all good friends and have worked with each other on and off for years, so i take that with a grain of salt (not to say he secretly dislikes it, just that we'll likely never know his detailed feelings on a lot of it)

plus, as showrunner, i think russell's keenly aware that if he says anything even slightly negative about the previous era, or actively tries to retcon the timeless child stuff, it would only encourage the worst parts of the fan base to be even nastier and harass chibnall, jodie, mandip, etc., even more. acknowledging thirteen's stories as important while also trying to wring some actual drama out of them that her era couldn't do is probably the best possible option all things considered, even if i personally would be happy to leave it all behind

I started watching Kamen Rider and Super Sentai this year and I feel like I picked a really good year, the current shows are fascinating.

Kamen Rider Geats had a really good set up as a battle royale style critique of capitalism and granting happiness to a few at the expense of many, all for the entertainment of the super rich who are disconnected from it. I don't think it stuck the ending - it simultaneously felt like it should have ended earlier, but also didn't have enough time to set up the final villain - but the ride was good.

Now there's Kamen Rider Gotchard which is alchemists collecting rogue power cards. Right now it looks like a cross between Full Metal Alchemist and Card Captor Sakura, which are not bad comparisons and I'm honour-bound to watch it as a Kamen Rider series which uses playing cards.

Then finally Ohsama Sentai King Ohger, aka Lord King Squad King Kinger, aka Sentai of Thrones, which has kinda stealthed itself into being one of my favourite things.

But there's a lot of interesting stuff in here! I don't call it Sentai of Thrones solely for a joke, it's pitched at a young audience, but it does cover a lot of the messy elements of leadership: each member of the team is a king and they have conflicting goals for their countries; there is a plot where it's revealed that a villain killed an advisor to act as a double agent for the better part of a decade; rival brothers have fought over the right to their country's throne and a vassal-king from a different country has been trying to play them off against each other, only for it to be revealed that the vassal-kings sister was being held as hostage-fiancée by one of the brothers.

And now they have just wrapped up the forever war by making peace with the evil monsters, only for it to be revealed after a time skip that their entire conflict was brought about by a cruel and capricious god and it does all this while still being fun and silly. It's an amazingly well done balancing act that reminds me of Gurran Lagann, another of my favourite shows!

I may continue to jot down my thoughts here in between promoting my streams, sharing cat pictures for my mod, and reblogging whatever amuses me so... watch this space I guess?

Still getting the hang of toy customization and a stray comment by @cina-full-moon-xanadium made me realize I had a perfect pair to touch up! This was mostly done with Gundam Markers.

Change Heroes Onisister has her white details connected all the way around now and the spikes on her shoulders and club are now silver (I also properly glued on the back portion of her skirt a while back).

Action Heroes Kamakiri Ohger now has the show accurate purple eyes on her helmet (the paint budget for the retail version only includes orange), but I'm more proud of the Ohga-Calibur (which had no paint whatsoever before).

@cina-full-moon-xanadium ghhjfjhjh basically it's the metaphysical stance that there cant be any true independent substance bc you can always zoom in (is earth a substance? it's made of rocks and stuff. rocks? theyre made of elements. elements? atoms. atoms? subatomic particles). so everything else is just "simples" (the most fundamental material thing) arranged accidentally (although "soft" mereological nihilists make an exception for either living living things. some of them restrict it to humans.)
