This is the first post that I made here, a handmade pendant created in the spirit of recent Mother's Day. I was trying to express the soft image of a mother and the gratitude I felt in this small bouquet.
Lily (white) - there's a lot of meaning for this flower, but I decided to include this to symbolize love and feminity.
Carnation (pink) - Gratitude and a promise of 'i'll never forget you".
Tulip (pink to yellow gradation) - When planning this in my head, I was sure I wanted to include tulip but had difficulty deciding what color to use. I end up with this gradation (although the pink is very faint) because I love both and cannot choose.
yellow - There's sunshine in your smile🌻when will someone finally say this to me
pink - good wishes, care, and affection
And lastly, the leaf represents Sage, bringing wisdom to our plates of good things.
I was being bold and getting out of my comfort zone by color blocking the leaf (hence the very monotone color), which I'm not very happy with if I'm being honest.
Overall, I had fun making this and cannot wait to design more small bouquets with different meanings and flowers. One thing I would change if I do this again is I'll make the leaf in a gradual gradation.

I'm planning to post more thread-made stories like this in the future. To share my work and also document my growth in both ideas and skills.
Squeeky's IV has the most interesting colors and shapes.
Soft and pastel colors were abundant int he Age of Doo Wop. This is no more true than at Squeeky’s Laundromat on Atlantic Avenue in Wildwood Proper. Headed south, it’s just as you get to the high-trffic part of town, as I mentioned a few posts ago. These pictures were taken on January 21st, 1967. (…Or, was that 2023?)
Squeeky’s not only is painted in carnation pink, lemon yellow and deep teal,…
