remember us just like this forever

for my own prompt, brock mcginn/jason zucker, rated E, 18,101 words

It doesn’t take long for everyone else’s competitive nature to kick in and an underwater wrestling match to start. Brock didn’t exactly mean to do that, but he isn’t entirely sure what else he’d expect to happen if you dump a bunch of pro hockey players in a pool. Danton gets a good hold on Brock’s ankle and almost drowns him, so Brock kicks him with his other foot to dislodge him and eventually surfaces, spluttering.

“Alright there, Ginner?” Jason says, grinning. Somehow no one’s trying to kill him right now. “Don’t start what you can’t finish, huh?”

“Shut the fuck up,” Brock says, and launches himself at Jason before he can think better of it.

It’s a lot of ineffectual splashing and shoving at Jason’s shoulders for a while, and somehow it ends with Jason plastered along his back, chin hooked over Brock’s shoulder. Brock literally could not tell you how he ended up like that. He thinks maybe he blacked out for a second when Jason smirked at him and grabbed his wrist at the same time. It would make sense. Anyone would lose track of time for a bit after that.
