Random LU Headcannons :3
Sky has lightning strike scars across his chest and back from fighting Demise. He never mentioned them before though, so they caused a lot of excitement and questioning from the rest of the Chain when they first saw them (I might draw it sometime, but the scars are a little tricky. Look it up if you don't know what they look like, I think they're really cool).
Wild dyes his hair temporarily from time to time. He never uses any permanent dye, as he doesn't want to commit himself to one color at a time when their are so many cool colors out their. Sayge (the dye shop guy in BotW and TotK) taught him how to make temporary hair dyes out of natural ingredients common throughout Hyrule. This HC was inspired by the fact that you can dye Link's hair in TotK if you dye one of the dragon headpieces.
Legend secretly loves to dress up in fancy clothes. He also has a lot of strong opinions about the rest of the Chain's fashion but keeps these to himself, as he is sure he will be made fun of for it. The only one who knows his secret is Wild, and they like to get together and, well, play dress-up.
Hyrule generally doesn't like to be touched unless the person is someone he trusts completely (that being only really Legend and Sky, former because they share similar experiences, and the latter because Sky could make anyone feel safe when he's near). Other than that, he prefers no one touch him because it will cause him to panic. Too many times he was almost captured by Ganon's forces and the past still makes him jumpy. The others respect this boundary.
Four is good at making friends and talking to people. He's good at getting people to trust him and enjoys small talk with random strangers. Somehow, he always finds a way to connect with them. He genuinely cares about the people he meets. He's very wary of cats, though (and baby chicks).
Twilight and Legend formed an unspoken bond when they first met, though neither of them realized it. Less of a brotherly bond and more of a "I recognize that you've been through some of the same stuff I have and see you as an equal" kind of bond. Both will deny this though, not feeling worthy enough to compare themselves to the other hero.
That's all I have for right now, I might share some more later on (Correction, I will share some more later on). Hope you like it :>

Whenever i play Legend of Zelda (botw or Totk) i have a simple checklist of things i want to do, however these aren’t typical “complete the game” things, rather they’re things i do for Link. To me, Link is a creature, and someone has to look after him, so here is my checklist
Social- Link should interact with someone i consider to be his friend, this can be any of the sages or people he helped with the divine beasts, it can be beedle, Purah, Paya, Impa etc. Link just has to talk to someone and hang out next to them for a bit
Murder- to keep Link active he needs to kill a few monsters, typically when travelling, if Link sees a monster worth taking on, then i have him fight it (unless it’s too scary, we leave big scaries alone)
Horsie time- i have Link hang out with one of his horsies (usually it’s Epona cos they’re besties but i have many horsies). He feeds them an apple, rides them for a significant amount of time (sometimes completing “murder” and “social” along the way) and of course many pats for the horsie because they always do such a good job
Dragon time (totk only)- Link sits on a dragon for a full dragon cycle (The dragons have a set path, Link stays on the dragon until the dragon gets back to the point Link got on the dragon). This time is relaxing, good for farming and also sight seeing
Relax- i take Link to the hot springs or get him a spa treatment, he’s very babie so he needs time to relax
eat a good food- i have Link cook something i’d wanna eat irl and let Link eat it (usually it involves cheese. i love cheese, like a little mouse. squeak)
fashion- Link should buy or find new outfits always, then try on different combinations to find the best one
shopping- Link needs to stock up on supplies so we do a lot of shopping (usually completed at the same time as social or even horsie time if we meet travelling traders along the way)
gremlin time- this is usually towards the end of the session when i’ve been looking at the screen too long. i have Link act in peculiar ways around NPCs (like crouching near them, walking around them in circles, talking to them from on the tables, aiming weapons at them, jumping about and so on)
Somehow progress is made this way, I have excellent gear and could go fight Gannon if i wanted (the rest of the main story is 100% done, i just can’t be asked to go fight crispy bacon sexy man rn)
to me, botw and totk are just games where you can play as a silly little guy and have him do silly things, occasionally he can be serious, as a treat. But my Link? he’s a creature, he needs enrichment and those are the activities he needs 😌
remember to keep your Link hydrated and well fed as well as entertained.
(this is a good routine for irl too, but you have to leave out the murdering part unless you see a monster in which case probably you should run but you can try kill it if you want)
Thank you

You know, I love the idea of Legend and Fable being siblings because…
…It could actually make sense. and it could have a reason to exist.
Like it wasn't a coincidence.
It was planned by Hylia.
Time died in this timeline, whatever it was a timeline where he didn't have the seven years gap in this timeline and get killed as a child, either he failed during his final fight as adult. The thing is that he died, and it's worse than Wild since he's really dead.
(ok he's still alive in two other imelines, but it's like the Age of Calamity Timeline where all the champions are alive, Calamity Ganon is gone, and Wild didn't lose his memories, wasn't almost killed, and didn't take a 100 years nap, all that while the botw/totk timeline still exist)
Whatever how Time died, he died. Hylia's hero failed, because he was too young, not enough experimented, ect…
Lullaby/Zelda barely managed to do something after Time's death, to stop Ganon, but the situation was really REALLY not great. For years, for even centuries, it has been terrible.
It was the start of the Downfall Timeline.
Years and years after the death of the poor little young one, Hylia realized that Ganon was going to return and mess with humans AGAIN. And that she had to trigger the two reincarnations, Zelda and Link, to stop him. Or it would be the end of the world.
But she didn't want to make the same mistake two times. Link wouldn't be a nobody or a helpless child. He would have more power. So he would be more armed to face the menace, more prepared, he would be trained.
He would have the blood of Sky, her second hero, he would have the blood of Four, who married his Zelda at his Era. And he would have her sacred blood. The kid would be powerful. So he wouldn't face a tragic end.
And so Legend and Fable were twins.
What Hylia didn't plan was the reaction toward a little prince. Good thing, the mother of the twins refused to let her baby die and asked to her most faithful personnal knight to take the baby and to protect him. He accepted, thinking that killing inocent baby was a horrible thing, whatever a prince was a monster ONE time, this baby didn't do anything.
The twins didn't grow together, of course. Legend was a energic kid, and he was very smart for his age. He was able to speak to animals and to trees. At first his uncle didn't believe him but was forced to do it when faced the truth. Legend was a sensitive kid who loved animals and who always wanted to help people (yep it was a good kid). He didn't want to become a knight but he liked the sword traning.
Sadely, the events of Link to the Past happened a lot sooner than Hylia had planned. Legend was ...eight. (Hylia has really failed her tactic to kill Ganon with a prepared adult, yeah ^^")
He had some training with a sword, but wasn't a soldier. He survived to all the trials until finding Fi. Because he was talented, smart, lucky. He escaped the danger more that he won against it. Until he found Fi, it was pure luck + his training.
Fi was…not in a good state. Nobody hads taken care of her since the death of the previous hero. She had still his blood on her, she was used by time, by the wind, by the rain. She was forgotten. And then this tiny child take her in his little hands and she recognize her master's blood, he hears her voice. She sees how much he was young, fragile, still innocent and decided that no, this one wasn't going to die.
So Legend, without knowing it, has learned some of Sky's fighting style thank to Fi.
He has reforged her with his tiny hand, treating her as the most precious thing in the world.
He was always holding her when sleeping because he had a lot of nightmares for obvious reasons.
And Fi corrected his movements in a fight.
He could hear her because of Hylia's blood and because of Sky's blood in his veins.
She could warm him if danger was near of him.
Fi has raised him in some ways.
And so the idea of Hylia, after the death of the previous hero, deciding to reincarne her hero as Sky's descendant, as her descendant to give him more powers, more capacities to survive….is very interesting. and could be logical. She didn't need to do it in the other timelines because Time won.
And imagine, during the events of Linked Universe, Sky being like "you have almost the same fighting style than me?"
"The master sword teached me!"
"She SPOKE to you *o*?"
Yes! Yes!
I definitely agree. The Downfall timeline is the worst Hyrule has seen, and ever will, so Hylia needed the strongest hero there would ever be to protect it. There is a reason Nayru named him 'the greatest of all the Hylian Heroes' , a reason why the Master Sword speaks to him when she was silent before.
I wouldn't say Hylia gave him every advantage, but she certainly tried by choosing to bring him out of her bloodline and that of the heroes past, by activating his triforce piece when he was still too young to actually need it, and by ending Fi's slumber. Honestly, now that I think about it, she probably elected to wake Fi again so that the sword spirit would act as guide and care-taker to her little hero, a nanny almost sicne she couldn't actively e beside him herself.
This in mind though, it really highlights a point I've held for a while, although privately. In my opinion, Legend has no reason to truly hate Hylia. I never knew why people added that to his character? Not only is she never mentioned in his games, but if, based on the above, he was actually brought up by Fi, he'd probably have come to have a warm regard for the goddess who was actively looking out for him. Maybe a slightly complicated view of her, since she lets bad stuff happen too, but she always gets him through it as well, and gives him her blessings and tools and servants to help him along.
All this to say, I now want to write a Good Mom Hylia fic, although it would definitely come across as Hylia playing favorites LOL

Ok here's my headcanon. I always thought Link's first love was archery, he seems to be a jack of all trades but I think the first weapon he picked up was a bow. I think (besides Nintendo giving botw so much emphasis on the bow) within Hyrule Kingdom Hateno has a strong archery culture with all the hunting and the horseback archery range. And Links early proficiency with a bow basically made a future in combat necessary for him so he practiced with a sword as well and learned spearmanship from Mipha (and he was remarkably quick to pick up on those) but after he pulled the Master Sword he spent most of his time with a sword..
But of course all the best archers in the world are in Rito village. And as a kid Link always wished to one day shoot with a Rito bow and he definitely knew all the names of the famous Rito archers and when news came of a young archer near his age that was quickly becoming one of the greatest of all time of course Link remembered that name too😌
Anyway it's funny to imagine if when Revali and Link first met Revali already held a grudge because of the sword while Link was completely starstruck, left speechless, didn't know whether to ask for an autograph.. well that was my headcanon. Can you revalink-ify it🙂
anon this ask is so cute thank you, i will revalinkify it to the best of my ability 🫡
i never actually thought about how much emphasis there is on bows in botw's hyrule and when you mentioned hateno having a strong archery culture, i was like What are you talking about... but then i remembered the abandoned equestrian course just in front of the village and ur so true about the horseback archery range. maybe link's mother was a horseback archer and ran the equestrian course back in the day, so link inherited that skill from her? thinking about teeny baby link feeding his mother's horse for the first time, the horse gently taking the apple from his hand, and link's eyes widening in awe at the tenderness of such a gentle beast. thinking about him riding a horse for the first time, learning to shoot with his mother and getting a bullseye on his first try. baby archer link 🥺
i can totally imagine link really wanting to go to rito village and live among the best archers of hyrule, knowing the names of all the legendary rito archers and begging his parents to take a trip there, or begging his father to work his magic as a knight of hyrule and somehow get him a swallow bow, or even a falcon bow!
a traveling merchant once came through hateno with a book on the history and legends of the rito, and link used his entire allowance to buy it... thinking about link memorizing every rito legend by heart, and infodumping to everyone he knows like his mom takes him and his sister to the market and the shopkeeper is like Hey link how are you doing? and link is just like Did you know the legendary Rito Warrior Dronoc, for which Dronoc's Pass is named after, was rumored to have the longest wingspan of any Rito who's ever lived? or going to school to cut off the teacher being like Actually Teacher, Kilsie of the Rito is regarded as one of the pioneers of the art of archery, and— 🤓 the teacher tells link to go sit outside, to which he just shrugs and takes his little book of rito legends with him to read for the rest of the class.
when link gets a hold of his first swallow bow, he cries. he almost refuses to shoot with it because it's so pretty and he doesn't want it to break. he eventually does use it, because his dad is like What was the point of me getting you a bow from literally across the country if you're not gonna use it. it's link's favorite bow and he maintains and polishes it very frequently, he's almost never seen without it.
just link being a little fanboy for rito legends 😭 i just know he was pissed as fuck when the master sword chose him and he had to use it all the time. the master sword comes out easy in his grip and while everyone else there is oohing and aahing and clapping, link is there like >:[ yelling ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME!!!!! with it echoing in throughout the korok forest like yeah he's good at using literally any weapon, but bows really are his first love <3
now link being a fanboy for revali...... mmmm what a refreshing concept. it takes a whole different spin on the revali's flap memory
i think they would find out about each other around the same time, when they're both about 14-15. of course, revali would know about link, the person who pulled the legendary sword that seals the darkness at the tender age of 13, the person who's prophesied to save hyrule from the oncoming evil. revali scoffs and dismisses the news when it reaches rito village; he's a sword-wielder who probably knows nothing of archery and has no appreciation for it. and most importantly, he's one of those flightless, fleshy hylians. ugh. (spoiler alert revali, you fall in love with that flightless fleshy hylian) he goes back to his training and endless victories in archery competitions, and does his best to forget link even exists. he knows he can prove himself to be better than a stupid hylian prophecy.
meanwhile, link is now living in hyrule castle town with his father after he pulls the master sword and he's pretty miserable. he's far away from home with classist city kids in a strange place, and he misses the brisk air of his home, he misses his mother and sister and the horses and the archery range at home; he doesn't like it in castle town very much. at least there's an archery range here, both static and horseback, and he's brought his favorite swallow bow with him. it's actually easier to keep updated with news from rito village here though, since castle town is the center of the country and all news comes through here, especially when link hears about the seven-time winner of rito village's archery competitions, the rito child who's broken nearly all of the rito's legendary archery records.
link's interest is piqued and he grabs for every paper about it and talks to every journalist who's covered the story and every rito who visits the castle. alexa play OMG by new jeans because link just keeps on asking "who is he?" (he's the one that's living in your system, baby 😩🎶)
he finally finds out the name of this rito child prodigy after a week of endless searching and asking around. his name is revali, they tell him. he's just about your age. and link just stares with wide glimmering eyes. revali. it's a pretty cool name for a rising legend. he says it again, over and over to himself, liking the way forms in his mouth. (and if link blushes thinking about revali being the same age as him and wondering if the rito is as pretty as his name, he did not shut up aryll i didn't say that NO give me that article back)
some time passes. revali is now a 15-time winner of rito village's seasonal archery competitions and is now in the ranks of participating in the national competitions, where all races across hyrule can show off their skills and compete. it's the first time that link gets to see revali in action.
and whew, when link sees revali for the first time at the hyrule national archery competition, a sleek-feathered rito boy standing tall and proud, the sun reflecting off his gorgeous navy blue plumage, tossing his braids over his shoulder... he blushes so hard that aryll asks him if he's getting sunburned. "no!" link nearly yells, covering his face with his hands. his face really is burning, oh goddesses this is embarrassing.
aryll follows his line of sight then rolls her eyes. "of course it's the bird boy that's got you redder than batch of sunshrooms." link tells her to shut up, albeit still through his hands, and she rolls her eyes again and complies.
the competition starts with another division, but link can't bring himself to care, keeping his eyes only on revali, who's off to the side with the rest of the rito village team. he is as pretty as his name.
link is on the edge of his seat when it's revali's turn to shoot and he is not disappointed. revali hits over 30 bullseyes in the span of a few seconds, completely destroying the targets and even splintering through the arrows that had been previously shot, all without breaking a sweat. revali must have aimed an arrow of love at link through all of that somehow, because link is deeply, completely, absolutely in love in with the rito now ❤️ revali tosses his braids over his shoulders again to look up at the audience and link swears they made eye contact, his breath catching at the emeralds revali has for eyes glinting proudly in the sunlight.
at the end of the competition, link rushes down the stands, hoping for a chance to see the rito, get his autograph, talk to him even, but alas it's not meant to be. the rito gets swarmed by many others from the audience and the entire rito village team moves away from the field to retire to their rooms. it doesn't bring link's spirits down, though. he'll meet revali again, he knows it, he can feel it in his heart.
can you guess when the next they meet again is? :)
more time passes, and link is now a champion and zelda's personal knight and is going through his self-imposed silence era. his love for archery remains strong and alive, but he's forced to use the master sword more often these days and he hasn't had a chance to take his favorite swallow bow to the bower and have it maintained. he doesn't want to risk breaking it on the field, so he keeps it at home hung on the wall by his bed. he still thinks about revali, the rito boy who's completely captured his heart at every archery competition, with his dark glossy feathers and piercing green eyes. if link was like the other city girls, he'd be sighing and daydreaming about revali all day (he totally does and he gets whacked in the head during training for slacking off. aryll laughs her ass off at him for it). he wonders when they'll meet again, hopefully soon.
so when zelda mentions that they're going to rito village to check on the rito champion's progress with the divine beast and do diplomacy with the elder, link perks up. he still hasn't been able to visit the village he's desperately wanted to see as a child, the village where the legends of archery were born. maybe he can bring his swallow bow and have it fixed by a rito bower there! even though zelda fucking hates his guts, it can't bring his spirit down. link feels like a child again :) though, link wonders who the rito champion is. zelda didn't mention them by name, only by title, and they're the only champion link hasn't met yet. he wonders...
when they reach rito village, zelda sends him off so she can go talk with the elder and tells him that she doesn't need his protection because she'll be in the hands of the rito guards, so scram. he rolls his eyes when she turns away but does as she says and wanders. rito village is more beautiful than he imagined. the cold air and the breathtaking view of the hebra mountains in the background reminds him of home at hateno which was close to the ever-snowing mount lanayru. the rito people are kind and welcoming and greet him as champion, offering him all sorts of things. he denies, of course, because it's not necessary but indicates that he's very grateful for their hospitality. they smile and seem to have no problem with his silence. he likes it here a lot. he could see himself living here, after the calamity is defeated...
as he wanders, link ends up on a rather large platform with a rito insignia on it, but compared to the other symbols of the rito in the village, this one has wings on it. when he looks up to the sky, the grand divine beast vah medoh is soaring above him in all its ancient stone glory. of the divine beasts he's seen, link thinks this one is the most beautiful. maybe the insignia is representative of medoh?
but as he stands in the center of the platform, staring at the beast of sky, a strong gust of wind begins to swirl at his feet, stronger and stronger until a twister forms in front of him just off the lip of the platform where a dark blue figure shoots up and—
surprise! it's none other than his one and only years-long infatuation, the master archer revali of the rito. as revali lands on the railing of the platform, he crosses his arms and stares down at link with narrowed eyes. link thinks he's going to faint; the rito is so much more beautiful up close. he wills himself not to blush or pass out as revali begins to speak to him (oh god even his voice is nice—)
anyways revali goes through his whole spiel as he does in the revali's flap memory, and link just stares with wide eyes trying not to drool or blush or make a fool of himself because oh my god it's him it's revali he's the rito champion oh my god are we going to be working together ohhhh my god why didn't zelda tell me this i'm going to throw up (positive)
at some point in the memory, revali hops off the railing to circle link, goading him and basically being like I'm Better Than Just Being Your Sidekick Just Because You Have Some Special Little Sword and challenging link to settle the score or whatever, but here link is not paying attention to any of that and is just staring with stars in his eyes because revali is really close to him and he can see just how glossy and shiny revali's feathers are, he can count just how many of his cheek feathers are red—
"hey! are you even listening to a word i say?!" revali snaps and it breaks link's fanboyish haze. he stares at the rito who stands in front of him now, glaring at link with those piercing emerald eyes. he's so beautiful. "you're not even listening to me, are you? well, you—"
"can i get your autograph?" link blurts suddenly. oop. he was not supposed to break his silence. his face immediately flushes pink and his hands fly to cover his mouth, eyes wide.
revali blinks. "...what?" he says, caught off guard, his stance faltering.
"um. your autograph," link repeats, his voice considerably meeker. god this is so embarrassing he's embarrassing himself, revali probably thinks he's a freak. "um, uh i was... i've been a big fan. i watched you at your first hyrule national archery competition. you were amazing."
"you... you did?" revali says, still stunned. his eyes have widened, staring incredulously at link. "you thought i was...?"
"yeah," link whispers. he's practically hiding behind his hands now, feeling the hot flush of embarrassment through his skin. "yeah, of course you were! you completely destroyed the competition, you're basically a legend yourself! you hit more bullseyes in a few seconds then i've ever been able to do in few minutes..." link trails off, hands falling to his sides then hiding behind his back. he looks away shyly, still feeling the burn of embarrassment on his cheeks.
"i've always been more of a bow guy," link mumbles, "and read all about legendary rito archers as a kid. my dad even got me a swallow bow, um... being able to visit rito village was always something i wanted to do as a kid and after i saw you at the competition, i... um... well, i, err—"
"what about the sword?" revali interrupts. link looks up at him and revali's face has an imperceptible expression on it, one that link can't place. revali tilts his chin at the master sword on link's back. "i'd have thought you were more of a sword-wielder than an archer."
link looks away again and scratches the back of his head, sighing. "i mean, it's fine? i have some sort of prodigal skill with all kinds of weapons, and swords are probably one of my stronger suits. but i've loved archery since i was a kid, so..." link looks in a different direction; he can't bear to make eye contact with revali, he might melt. "i'm not gonna call myself a master of it in front of an actual master like yourself, but... i'm not too bad at it."
link kicks at the wooden floor of the landing. "this particular sword has too much responsibility weighing it down anyway," he mumbles.
when he does decide to look back at the rito, revali is staring at him, watching link's every movement and studying his face. "you mean to tell me that the hylian champion actually prefers bows and that you're a fan of mine?" he says. there's no bite or scorn in his voice; it's a genuine question.
link nods. "if it was up to me, there should be a master bow, or something. i'd rather wield that than a sword."
revali stares at him for a couple moments, before snorting and tilting his beak up, tossing his braids over his shoulder. "well," revali mutters, "if you were actually interested in such, i'm working on creating exactly that."
link's eyes widen and suddenly the embarrassment dissipates out of him. "really?" he says, breathlessly, excitedly.
revali glances at him and his prideful expression melts a little. "yes," he says carefully. "it's better than a swallow bow or a falcon bow, or both of them combined. it's going to be the strongest bow in the entirety of hyrule."
"can i see it?" link says excitedly. but then he remembers— revali doesn't seem to like him very much because of the master sword :( so his face falls and he takes a step back. "or— never mind, it's okay if you don't want to. i'm overstepping, you're the master revali, i should—"
"i didn't say no," revali says abruptly. he seems to regret speaking so harsh, and his voice softens a margin. "i didn't say no," revali repeats, more gently. "i wouldn't be averse to... showing you my precious craft. after all, it seems you have some semblance of intellect to appreciate the art of archery, after all." revali looks away, crossing his arms.
"really? you'll show me?" link whispers, eyes impossibly wider. revali looks back at him and they maintain each other's gaze for a moment before the rito gives one slight nod. link could cry from happiness right now. "oh. oh, thank you master revali, i'm really grateful—"
"just 'revali' is fine," the rito says, voice significantly softer than before. "we'll be working together as champions... it's better we establish some rapport and familiarity with each other now." somehow, revali's eyes seem to be less piercing as he keeps link's gaze. link can't pinpoint what it is, but he thinks he likes it a little more.
"okay," link says, quiet and breathless and still starstruck. "okay. thank you then, revali. i look forward to working with you, and getting to see your master bow."
revali hums and bows his head slightly in response. "and i you," he replies. and they're quiet, staring at each other for a couple more moments until revali speaks again.
"you said your archery skills were sufficient," the rito says. "i wish to see what such sufficiency looks like from the wielder of the master sword and someone who claims to have prodigal talent over every weapon."
link tilts his head to the side. "you... want to watch me shoot?"
revali nods once. "most rito train at the flight range, but that place isn't meant for your flightless kind. fortunately, we have plenty of space for grounded archery as well." revali looks away. "only if you wish to."
"i'd love to," link whispers, with stars in his eyes again. "when do we...?"
"now, if you'd like," revali replies. he pauses, looking like he wants to say something else. "i'll... take you there."
"okay," link says. "i'd like that. i'm fine with that."
"okay," revali responds and they're staring at each other again in silence. as much as he doesn't want to, link can feel the pink flush of shyness return to his cheeks, as much as he wills them away. something changes in revali's expression, something link can't name.
but he's met his idol, the master archer revali, who's also the champion of the rito who he'll be working alongside to save hyrule. they'll be around each other a lot, hopefully, and perhaps they could even become friends... or even closer... anyway, this is the best day of link's life!
i imagine they start spending a lot of time together and getting to know each other, revali asking questions about how link came to love archery and discussing rito vs hateno archery, what make up the best qualities for bows and arrows, talking about their favorite rito legends, revali recommending his favorite bower to mend link's swallow bow, revali giving link tips on his form and how to shoot more accurately... revali showing link the flight range even though he can't train there really and link wistfully wishing he could (and the idea of the paraglider is beginning to formulate in revali's mind teehee). when link has to leave to the next place with zelda, they don't really want to part ways but they do and both link and revali are somewhat low-spirited after they do.
link who starts writing letters to revali from wherever he is in hyrule and telling revali not to write back because he doesn't stay in the same place for too long, but that he hopes he can visit again soon. they still both have that odd one-sided rivals to friends tension happening, especially with revali who does a lot of analytical staring before he allows himself to relax and interact with link, and link, who now has to come to terms with his huge crush on revali and trying desperately trying to hide it. they're both fawking freak weirdos lawl but they're cute weirdos trying to get to know each other better and maybe be friends :) maybe be more :))

You! Who is your favorite Link and why?
Ohmygoshohmygoshohmygoshohmygoshohmygoshohmygosh hi yes hi hi I got an ask wow hi
Hi!!! Hmmmm my favorite Links are Wild and Hyrule ehehehehehh
I rlly like Wild overall because Botw and Totk are my personal favorites, and he’s just a very interesting character. I love his lore and how much people (like me) look into it, like the idea of his scars and his story. I think Botw and Totk are my favorites purely because of the exploring and story. I am obsessed with Totks story so I love thinking about how Totks story affected Wild in LU. My favorite duo with him is Wild and Twilight. Also… I LOVE READING FANFICS ABOUT HIM HEHEHEHEH
Hyrule my baby!! I have never played his game but I…I just rlly rlly like his character. I adore how sweet he is and his abilities with magic and stuff. Also I love drawing him. Like when I say I’m gonna draw a LU boy real quick I’m definitely going to draw Hyrule. His fanfics have me bawling bc of how much PPL WHUMP HIM LIKE OH MY GOSH BUT ANYWAYS.
Ok!! That’s all and thank you for asking and letting me rant. I adore these two. I follow you and simply just love your writing. Like it’s so good. Once again thank you!!

what is your zelda notp and why? Is there another zelink you love besides oot zelink?
Hello anon!
Uuuh well... There's only one ship that I don't like in Zelda franchise and it's Malink, not bc the ship is bad, bc the fandom ruined it to me.
Ok this will be too long but here goes: I am a baby in this fandom I have only started loving the franchise for 4 months so there are things that I still need to understand. My first Zelda was BOTW, so I had no idea about the plot of OOT BUT I remember that in forums and facebook groups people mentioned that there was a canonical ship in that game confirmed by Nintendo, at first I believed that, of course that ship was Link x Malon. I didn't know who Malon was until I saw some Uzucake fanart and thought "well maybe she's a close friend of Link and they have a nice development!" I remember I asked a friend and he told me it wasn't true, so I was very confused!! Then I played the game and realized they were just friends? She couldn't remember him 7 years later until you played Epona's song and only then she remember him, which leads me to think that they didn't have such a close friendship. Then I read the famous theory, the first time I read it it made some sense but then I started to think "how are they canon if in the game they barely even interacted??" then I drew my own conclusions and investigated a little deeper. I realized that theory didn't make sense. And look, it's perfectly fine for everyone to have their own headcanons about their favorite ships, but the problem lies when you take that headcanon as canon and force others to believe it. I started to dislike that ship because when I was looking for OOT Zelink fanarts on Twitter and Facebook, there ALWAYS were comments saying that Malon was his real wife, there were comments from people comparing Malon and Zelda, I even saw insults towards the works of the artists who drew OOT Zelink WHICH IS DISRESPECTFUL. I'm talking to you about recent times, the fandom has changed, the popularity of ships has changed, what happens now is not the same as what happened in the early 2000s or 2010s. I feel like... Malink became "popular" among the problematic community of the Zelda fandom due to this theory that over the years they have taken for granted that it's canon and that many people who support that theory are the same people who hate Oot Zelda. You'll be surprised how many videos on YouTube there are about this topic and how many people support it (at least on the western side the ship became very popular). Of course there are nice people who don't behave like that, I'm just speaking from my experiences. I prefer malink as buddies, I enjoy fanfics where Malon and Zelda are besties:(
Also yes! I support all Zelinks but here's my top 3 :
OOT Zelink
BOTW/TOTK Zelink
SS Zelink

My tLoZ and LU Masterlist
UPDATED 11/19/2023
Of Dubious Sophistication: 6/? posted chapters, Wild meets the chain on a day when he has to act like an important person and decides to fuck with their initial misconceptions of him. Mostly formatted to give each of the Links to come to their own conclusions about Wild, a Compilation of oneshots with a vague overarching plot.
Another Second Chance: 2/? classic Wild gets pulled into the AOC timeline and is tasked to help prevent the calamity. But he looks different enough from his counterpart that he doesn’t reveal his true identity. He accidentally parallels Astor in the whole mysterious sorcerer/ seer vibes as he both knows the future and popped out of nowhere in a dramatic cape and ancient technology. Lots of interaction between Wild and the champions and there is both angst and hijinks. There’s also stuff about the new champions as most of it follows the plot of AOC. Also Wolfie is there because I thought it would be funny for him to bop around the baby egg guardian.
The Silence of the Knight: BOTW pre-calamity fic that’s mostly an introspective fic about why Link went silent and how everyone around him reacts to his lack of outward emotions. I just saw the concept of people seeing him as not quite human because of his refusal to show any emotions and wanting to catch a glimpse of how/ if he reacts when tragedy strikes, just to see if he has the ability to feel anything at all.
Heavy in Your Arms: Wild hated getting his memories back. They could be triggered by seemingly anything, they forced the entire group to stop or have someone stay with him until he got over it, which mostly ended up being Twilight, and he tended to end up feeling terrible. Even the good ones were bittersweet, when he saw glimpses of a family that was long gone or a fleeting moment when his life wasn’t destined to be a nightmare, only to open his eyes a century later having lost everything. He knew it was starting to become a hindrance on their quest and the last thing he wanted to be was a burden. (part of a series focused on the Wolf Trio)
I’ve Seen Hell (But This is a Bit More My Style): BOTW Fem!Link fic focused on how being the first female incarnation of the Heroes Spirit would be treated with a little bit of Zelink as a forbidden relationship. Link is angry and all of her past lives are just as pissed as she is. She’s seen as a harbinger of the calamity rather than the hero sent to stop it. And she’s seen as a mistake of the goddess and proof that the 10,000 years of peace was now at an end. General woman problems you know? (Sequel incorporating LU in progress) also please mind the tags.
Swordcrossed Lovers: Fluffy oneshot of the above au, Link and Zelda go to Gerudo Town and flirt while sword fighting. Zelink Week 2022 prompt: Sparring.
Champions Possessing Wild Oneshot Collection: The champions possess Wild sometimes, it leads to some shenanigans
The Unironic Magical Properties of True Love: totk role swap, Zelda find where Link has been hiding since being stuck in the past.
*NEW* Forever Changed: post totk zelink, where they both come back a little differently and have to deal with the immediate aftermath of... everything.
Requests/ short oneshots:
The Idiots of the Wind: Wind makes friends with the spirit of Revali and they team up to mess with Wild, mildly traumatizing him in the process.
A Waste of Pretty Faces: Wild and Warriors bond over something they didn’t expect (mind the warnings and tags)
To Kill What’s Already Dead: Set after sunset pt.7, Wild deals with not being allowed to see Twilight and with the very real possibility that his mentor is dying.
A Mosaic of Broken Glass: Link has a lot of scars, they don’t like them very much. Zelda is determined to help them work on loving themself. Non-Binary BOTW Link and I accidentally made Zelda asexual.
On Top Of The World: Day 1 prompt for Zelink week 2022- One Last Look, Link and Zelda reunite after the final battle with the calamity. Idk what to say it’s just pure fluff.
Frightful & Delightful: Wintery LU fic that is Hyrule-centric for a secret santa. Hurt/comfort, but mostly fluff.
3 Sentence Fics: Lots of short fics in one place, including LU, botw Zelink, and my own AUs!
The Many Duties of the Princesses Appointed Knight: Fluffy pre-calamity zelink hair braiding, not me basing a whole fic off of a vague idea...
The Caretaker of Holy Things: OC fic made for a zelda creators collab, the Priestess of the Temple of Time remains at the great plateau while the calamity rages around her, unfortunately, she’s due to have visitors.
Whumptober 2022:
Prompt 2: Nowhere to Run: Aryll from my priestesses AU meets the Fierce Deity for the first time.
Prompt 5: Hypothermia: Link and Zelda from my Golden Priestesses AU journey up to the Temple of Nayru to the spring of wisdom.
Prompt 9: Caught in the Storm: Zelda spends one hundred years fighting the calamity, even though he’s slumbering in the shrine of resurrection, Link still finds a way to help her keep her head above water.
Prompt 10: Whipping: Wild from my Fem!Wild AU has to reveal some things about her past after having a panic attack post-battle. Kind of a rewrite of part of the comic where Wild throws himself in front of Wind during a fight, you know the one.
Prompt 15: Emotional Damage/ New Scars: Wild visits the forgotten temple after the events of LU, he mourns.
Zelink Week 2023:
Day 1: Yearning: All In Good Time: Fem! Zelink AU during the events of LU, Wild misses her Princess.
Day 2: Forbidden: The Ballad of Frost and Flames: Fem!Zelink AU, pre-calamity while Link is still in hiding, they meet at a masquerade ball.
Day 4: Hand in Hand: The Fable of the Dragon and the Phoenix: MAJOR TOTK SPOILERS, Zelda makes and eternal choice and Link learns to rise from the ashes.

TOTK Trailer 3 Analysis
Alright, let's do this. There was a whole lot in this trailer, and just so you know i'm not going to be dissecting every second or everything that made me go 'oh cool!' Like, the rocket is way cool but I won't be providing a picture. Anyway, without further ado, here we go!
Tumblr media
I really liked seeing the little robot guys doing stuff on the island, especially this little one fending off a chuchu :D I think it adds a lot to the understanding of the role of these robots
Tumblr media
Not sure what's up with all the mushroom stuff but I love it! I like seeing that the villages are going to be changed :D
Tumblr media
Yay, settlements! People trying to move into this area! A shame that the castle is gone now. I also really like the birds on the old fountains.
Tumblr media
Big round rock is very interesting. It reminds me of the speed boost things in skyward sword, so that's my theory on what this one does.
Tumblr media
Big thing rising from the Gerudo desert. It's probably going to end up just being Ganondorf's castle, but I really hope it's Arbiter's Grounds because that place horrifies and fascinates me.
Tumblr media
Presumably a back shot of Ganondorf, and I gotta say I love his hair all glowing and crazy like that. He seems to be watching something explode, but I'm not sure what? Baby theory with the only proof of 'idk it'd make a modicum of sense', maybe it's the great plateau he's destroying?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Putting these two together since they seem to go together - ways to get below ground? Very interesting. Not psyched about having to wear the lame lava armor again, though. (and when I say go together, I realize this is probably an underground cavern in the Eldin area and not in Lanayru)
Tumblr media
Flying ship flying ship let's go!!! Looks way cool and makes me wonder who is manning it. Robots? Monsters? The Zonai???
Tumblr media
Floating balls of water are cool, but more than anything make me wonder if there will be a better swimming mechanic, maybe even diving?
Tumblr media
Mostly took this picture because I like the red bird outfit Link is wearing. Presumably it'll slow his fall more than other clothes, but I also like the reference to the crimson loftwing.
Tumblr media
Finally, the being we've been seeing on the wall carvings and ruins. What's her deal? Is this what all Zonai look like? She looks rad that's for sure. I've heard some people say she looks like a lizard, but personally I think she looks more like the three dragons.
Tumblr media
At first, this is kind of a boring shot, until I remembered that Hyrule castle probably was very much destroyed in the final battle of BotW. Was it repaired? By the little magic sparkles around, I'd guess either Zelda is repairing it with magic, or this is some kind of memory.
Tumblr media
Finally, the girl. Strange dais she's standing in front of, I'm so worried for her.
Tumblr media
The Baby! Teba really said 'I'm too old for this shit' and is having his baby fill in for him! Rip Teba you were, well, a normal guy opposed to all the other champions. Here's to your cool kiddo.
Tumblr media
I think I said this in my analysis of the last trailer, that I thought Link's vehicles would be able to transport Hylians, and I feel soooo vindicated right now! Yes, helping the citizens! I love it!
Tumblr media
This is ridiculous and I love it. Just us with our dumb machine against a bunch of monsters. Reminds me of that woodcutting machine from beauty and the beast, I think because of the little arm making kind of chopping motions
Tumblr media
BIG FUCKING MONSTER ATTACKING THE LITTLE BABY! I'M SO EXCITED FOR BOSS BATTLES NOW!
Tumblr media
No idea what the little magatama is still other than 'probably what they mean when they say tears'
Tumblr media
I have mixed opinions on ganondorf's design, but overall I think I like it :) He's green still, which is a little weird, but I guess he is technically a zombie, and damn did he rehydrate well.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Putting these two together to make a point (may also make it it's own post too) that I think Zelda isn't just wearing the above woman's outfit, I think the above woman is Zelda, the one from 1000 years ago. (I'll also mention now that what if the male voice talking to Zelda is some version of Ganondorf?)
Tumblr media
At one point I was going to make a video about TotK theories, and one involved getting to fight with civilians. It was more of an escort idea in there, but hey, still looks exciting! I love all these people who are stepping up to the plate and aren't just going to let another calamity hit them!
Tumblr media
Riju haircut! Sidon is King! Kind of weird that we say three of the four races, really hoping the gorons are doing okay. I'm really excited to see how the powers and strengths of the allies have evolved. From the footage, you already get the idea that Riju has started to use Urbosa's lightning powers.
Tumblr media
Gleeok! We've all seen him coming, but hey, he's officially here! That's pretty rad!
Tumblr media
Hard to see, but we're getting more of the wall mural thing, this time featuring ganondorf. I hope this thing will be, like, a physical thing in game so we can look at the whole thing.
Tumblr media
And finally Zelda. My bets are that she's a) going to be found sleeping on that thing, very similar to Zelda 2's ending or that b) she's going to end up being sacrificed on it :(

Ok, soooo, talking things ig.
My oc was kinda just a character I made up and eventually shoehorned into botw, and he's Time/Twilight's descendant. His family survived the Calamity, only to die in resulting monster attacks over the years, till he was the only one left at a young age. No one would/could help him because they were also trying to deal with their own losses and struggles, leaving him to fend for himself.
He lived alone when one day a very feral and amnesiac Link stumbled across his home in the woods. For whatever reason, Elias certainly didn't know why, this feral child and his wolf companion stick around, and he ends up befriending Link and teaching him basics of human interaction.
Eventually, after Ganon is killed, Elias goes back to the plateau and restores his family's ranch (lon lon ranch) and becomes a popular resting spot for Link and eventually Zelda as well, and he sees them as younger siblings after losing his own.
THE BEAR comes in because Elias had a habit of caring for wild things (*stares at Wild*) and ended up accidently having a bear cub imprinting on him after its mother died.
In the setting of LU, if the boys ever visit, he LIES LIKE THE WIND to avoid any awkwardness between Time, Twilight, and himself. Why? He's awkward as fuck.
There's more, but that's a basic rundown.
The bear's name is Big Mama, btw. It's started as a joke, calling her little mama as a baby, but now she's massive and brings her cubs to see "grandpa" all the time, and the grown cubs come back to visit even after leaving to fend for themselves.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Love big mama, big mama is my heart and soul and i would DIE for big mama!!! Big girl and her little cubs— i would either be terrified or start bawling on the spot out of cuteness overload
ALSO ELIAS IS SUCH A GOOD NAME!!!! Love love love it so much omfg
That tragedy of surviving the ‘end of the world’ only to die because of the after shocks is so HEART BREAKING AND TRAGGIIC AND POETIC AND I LOVE IT SO MUCH BUT ALSO UGHHHHHHH POOR KID!!!!!
Iabdjsnjsdj thank you cal <3

So I'm the one with a little boy with Wild named Liam (I have an actual 4yr named Liam. He's got the blonde hair and blue eyes too.) And I agreed to let him teach Liam the SAFETY side of swords and weapons, but he has to wait until he's 5 to start with wooden weapons. That's what we compromised on.
We're co-parenting very well! Liam and I live in Terry Town, and Link comes to visit often. He was understandably angry that I didn't tell him, but once I explained that I didn't want to disrupt his life (plus, he's the champion and I didn't want the public to think that I was lying and you know, basically a gold digger who was trying to baby trap him) he understood my reasoning but informed me that he and Zelda aren't in a relationship anymore. And he would like to "get to know" me.
So it's turned into a slow burn. It's gotten kinda steamy, but nothing more than kisses and touching. Kinda in that "talking" phase but moving into something more.
He ADORES Liam, and is getting ready to take us to Korok forest to meet the Deku Tree. He's teaching him how to cook because when though "mommy is the best cook, but daddy just hums better." So that automatically makes the food so much better. Lol
Liam is like a mini version of his dad. Just take Link and make him 3.5 feet tall with a boyish smile that's got two front teeth missing, lack of muscles and you have Liam. Lol copy and paste basically
Irl, my son really does look just like Link from botw/totk, and that's who he's going as for Halloween! He's so cute! The only thing he's missing is the long hair, which he asked if he could grow out, and I said yes. So long as he makes sure to brush it when i brush mine.
I love him so much. 💖
🎀-anon
🎀 anon! Your son sounds so fricking cute!! And I'm sure he'll love the longer hair too and he must be so cute too!! AHHH HE SOUNDS SO PRECIOUS 😭😭💖✨
And I love how you brought him into the story basically seeing he looks like Link! This is so fricking wholesome I can't even!! 🥹😫😓
AND YES!! The safety side of swords is more important than actually learning how to use one at his age 😩💕 but tarrey town is amazing tbh, I really love the vibe of the place and the ocean view too! I'm sure he's loving being there and the fact that he comes to visit often warms my heart akwskws 🥹🥹💝
Oh?? And get to know you more?? 👀👀✨ WAIT WAS HE IN A RELATIONSHIP WITH ZELDA THAT TIME WHEN YOU AND HIM DID IT IN THE CABIN??? Man, he was probably in love with you already then 😤😤
AND THE DEKU TREE!! LIAM WILL LOVE IT! And I'm so happy you're all like a proper family now, this is just so cute!! AND TWO FRONT TEETH MISSING?? HE'S SO CUTE AND LINK MUST BE SO HAPPY 😭😭😭💗
I hope your son will enjoy Halloween and show his brave character!! I'm sure he's just as brave as Link and will conquer any ghosts on his trick and treating!!

20 questions for fic writers
Tagged by @a-little-bit-of-ravioli
1. How many works do you have on A03?
31! Wow! Not even counting my FF.net and Spirit (portuguese site) fics too. I think adding them would be around 50? I know for sure I have much more than that in my drive.
2. What's your total A03 word count?
739.765 Whaaaaat? That's so many! And it's mostly the ones I write in english!
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Inuyasha, Katekyo Hitman Reborn, My Hero Academia and Legend of Zelda, more specifically LU!
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
A Link in a chain . My first LU fic! My baby <3 Modern day, soulmate marking and platonic soulmates. The main focus is Wild getting to know them, then Legend accepting the others and finally Spirit joining them.
All Might said 'No'. This was a prompt for a MHA server and I had a lot of fun! All Might is the literal quirk, like a ghost protecting the Midoriyas.
Alpha and Omega. That was a challenge! In almost every way possible. Omegaverse, Toshinko
Merman. Also from a prompt. Merperson au, Toshinko.
Soul clock. Also from a prompt. Soulmate au where there's a clock counting down the time until you meet your soulmate. Toshinko and some platonic relationships mentioned too
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
Always! I love to receive comments. Even key-smashing make my day a lot better when I check the email
6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Probably The Sacred Trees. It's more like a happy ending with heavy consequences. I live for happy ending, not sorry about that. They will suffer but they will be happy eventually.
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
All of them? I'd dare say the happiest was Took You Long Enough, a Midlink reunion during LU and then afterwards. From the concluded, that's the happiest one but there's an even better one coming from a different fic not posted yet :D
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Not recently, but I did in the Inuyasha and Katekyo fandom! I usually say a simple "thank you for your critique" because this usually throw people off enough that they leave me alone.
9. Do you write smut?
No! There's some heavily implied things, but nothing graphic or very descriptive (by very heavily, I'm counting the omegaverse fic too; I liked the concept but wanted something with less sex)
10. Do you write crossovers?
Not oftenly, but yes! The last one I wrote was a MHA and LU crossover when the brain was divided between them.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Once! The person copied one of my biggest series in portuguese, changed the name of the characters and some physical descriptions but it was basically the same. I asked them to put down, but had to dm some of the site's admin to make sure it was deleted.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Yes! Once by a friend from the MHA fandom and they encouraged me a lot to write more in english and give it a try. I'm here now so thanks to her!
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Yes! It will never see the light of day though, but my bestie and I created a whole novel about a couple and how the wife slowly got mad and then killed him in the end.
14. What's your all-time favorite ship?
Hmm, that's too hard! I have many favorites!
Probably Zelink. LoZ is my old new obsession, it always go back and forth between the games as they are released or as I play again and the animes I'm watching. BotW and TotK gave me so much shipping material I'll be happily reading it until the next game is released.
A close second would be Kyoya/Chrome from KHR. I just love their dynamic, specially when they help each other to grow (and Mukuro being a gremlin jealous older sibling, that's the cherry on top)
15. What's the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
A fanfic for the Grand Chase game when I played it. Ryan almost dies when they cross a desert, Ronan is sent to another world and needs to complete some quests to do that (he's my fav alright? I just needed a reason to send him to another world and do quests by himself, maybe question his faith and all that). I wrote maybe 30k? The idea is lovely and taunts me from a distance but I've never come back to writing it
16. What are your writing strengths?
A very good question... I'd say creating AUs. I love world building and leaving small details that have significance for the story later, I think I do an okay job at balacing dialogue and descriptions. My beta says I'm good at leaving crumbles in the story to solve the problem in the end too
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Punctuation in any language! Ugh, I just love commas sooooo much!
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
English punctuation doesn't make much sense for me until now! I'm relying heavily on the corrector and trying to read more to see if I can absorb the info.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Inuyasha!
20. Favorite fic you've ever written?
I'm very self indulgent when writing so I like most of them. I'd say the longest time favorite in portuguese is Librarian, a Toshinko fic where Inko is the hero and Toshinori is a librarian she meets because her son is a book geek. In english is A Link in a chain.
Wow, that was a lot! Alright, lemme tag @musical-chan , @arecaceae175 and anyone else interested in doing! :D

BotW Tulin deserves his own adventure
I love little baby Rito, and I was struck once again by an idea
Rito Village is heartbreakingly small, but after Calamity Ganon is defeated and the borders of Hyrule finally being open to their neighbors once again, Rito from far away have begun to travel again to find any remaining family
Since the defeat of Calamity Ganon, rumors have spread of the Queen of Hyrule being the one to finally return to free her people from their oppression after a lifetime of prayer. A counter rumor has begun that says the Champion of Hyrule, once fallen 100 years ago, has in fact returned to succeed where he had failed before. Further rumors of the other Champion have also evolved, but nothing has come out of any of them
Tulin is mostly worried for Link, who hasn't been by in months
A new flock of Rito have arrived to the village, a cause of celebration. With this flock is a 'feral' Rito who grew up without a flock but is otherwise kind and willing to engage with everyone as he learns about not only the customs of the flock that found and adopted him, but also these new customs to Hyrule's Rito Village
Tulin is curious but also intimidated by the influx of new Rito
Kass is most intrigued because this feral Rito actually breaks a few different traditions with his mixed interest in not only warrior training but also music. Not because these traditions are usually gender oriented, but because of the way he knows them. - when singing, this Rito dances in unusual and moving ways that are less about flashing his plumage for enforced or hidden meanings related to traditional emotions, but as a way to let his entire body tell a tale that strengthens his words. At a glance, it's amateurish, but looking deeper into his actions reveals so much more truth, almost sage-like clairvoyance - when fighting, this Rito is frighteningly proficient in not only weapon capability, but also in ways that use a terrain usually reserved for greater generals or strategists the likes of which was last known in Revali and historical figures
Molli is offended that all of his skills do not translate to instrumental skills in any way
Usually bright in color, all of the Rito are unsure what to make of this dull feathered Rito, though his character and mannerism are more than bright enough to make one forget his brown and simple speckled plumage until startled by the realization once again. He is, thankfully, unbothered, easily pointing out Teba and Harth even though his feathers camouflage him all too easily
Then the Feral Rito, name going between Apple, which he has chosen, and Kweiru, which was more properly Rito chosen by the flock that found him, makes a comment that makes Tulin wonder if he could just go find Link if his Hylian brother wasn't going to come to him
This causes the entirety of the Rito Village and the New Flock to panic as the Feral Rito disappears with the entirety of the younger rito fledglings
Tulin and the other kids all bring the Feral Rito out to play, or so they say. Once they leave the village, they keep walking further and further away, until they finally reveal their plan to have this new Rito protect them as they search for Tulin's missing brother
The Feral Rito is distressed. Very very distressed and impressed by the ingenuity that pretty much kidnapped him, but also completely worried about retribution against him because even though he has been kidnapped, literally no one would believe him over the 7+ kids forcing him to act as their bodyguard as they run away in solidarity to find their honorary Flock Mate
(The Feral Rito is extra distressed, because he had no idea about this brother of Tulin's, and he fears the missing Rito was not actually missing and Tulin was only told as much because of the finality of death being hard for kids to understand)
The fledglings are rendered speechless to realize their new wild guide can find diamonds and throw them away in the span of 5 minutes
Food cooked by this Feral Rito is either mouthwateringly delicious or nauseatingly scary because apparently the guy has no dependable taste buds
During their road trip, the fledglings learn Rito history with each prophetic song or dance their guide offers as a bedtime ritual, and then they have to teach him something about Everyday Rito Facts, because he just doesn't know
It takes a week before the Feral Rito gives up on being caught and then he really starts to teach the fledglings how to travel the wild land of Hyrule
By some point, none of the fledglings are surprised to realize they have all learned the beginnings of Revali's Gale, and by the end of their journey, all of them are confident in the name they call their Feral Rito, because turns out he has been cursed until his name was given back to him

okay so Hero Raven.
He would NOT be 41 years old, married, and with a kid, in this au. He would prolly be in his late 20s at the oldest, an experienced soldier but a relatively new member of the royal guard. Might make him even younger yet, so he would have only recently fallen in love with Gwyn and not be a royal guard. Not a teenager like Link almost always is. (I don't do protagonists that young anymore tbh, because who the FUCK knows what they're doing in their teens? NO ONE.) Obviously Raven's capabilities vary depending on what game verse it is, like twilight princess versus age of calamity/breath of the wild. And of course, age his ass up 7 years for tears of the kingdom since I put a 7 year gap between botw and totk.
edit while sick: I love how I said "I don't do protagonists that young anymore" when Lambda is the protagonist of her own story. Half the point of her character is that she is baby. Her excuse is that the very point of her character arc is learning what she's doing with her life.

Tears of the kingdom major spoilers
I finished the game yesterday and omfg, what a fucking battle. The music when you are getting closer to ganondorf, the sages helping link 😭💕 I was so unprepared the first time that ganondorf beat the shit out of me, and the fucking silence during the first round make that ass beating even worse 😩 Duuude how the tension increases the closer you get to ganondorf is amazing.
But like in botw, the best character for me must be zelda, and i think ganondorf being a paralell for her, makes her even better for me, because they are both ready to sacrifice themselves for what they want.
I loved how fucking similar they are, but for oposing reasons; zelda gathered a group of people to help link thousens of years in the future, ganondorf made a plan to counter this thousens of years in the future. They are both basically a queen and a king, but for very different kingdoms and they both said fuck it im becoming another being and abandoning my personhood for/because of link, like damn i could go deeper, but im not that profound of a person.
And speaking of the devil, i wanted a Ganondorf like the one from wind waker, but i also wanted a full bitch Ganondorf and thats what we got. Like damn man, why are you such a mean bitch, i fucking loved it. Every step i took on hyrule, i couldnt stop thinking "goddamitganondorf". I have seen people wanting like a backstory for this gan, but i dont think it is that deep, he is just an evil power hungry dude who wants to destroy, and i think they made him like that so you can truly feel the danger this guy represents. Unfortunately the zelda games are as black and white as they can get. There is only one gray character in this game, and its a stone (or many)
Also also. The best. The one and only. The man i was dreaming about is back and more stupid and charismatic than ever. Kohga is back baby. I was so happy when i saw him, like there where hints about him, but seeing him and fighting him again was a gift 💕 every time he mentioned ganondorf (i dont remember how he called him) i was like "no, get away from that man baby".
Man i loved this game 🥺💕

Bestie I’m curious now 👀 how would you rank the champions and sages? Fav to least fav ofc
Also it’s me Kit again hello 👋
hi kit!! ofc i’d love to 😌
1. urbosa, 1000% my favorite character from the botw era. she’s just so interesting, especially with her connection to zelda (calling her little bird is the cutest thing ever 🥺). as for her ability, c’mon now she can summon lightning by snapping her fingers thats so badass, not to mention her swordsmanship 😮‍💨
2. riju, SHES MY BABY MY DAUGHTER, i loved seeing how much she matured between botw to totk. from having been thrown into the command of a whole race at age 12 to a badass sage of lightning in her later teens, she’s so likable and fun to be around (also patricia is iconic pls)
3. mipha, she’s just so tragic, having accepted the role of champion because of her love for link (the detail of the description in totk of the zora armor where it explains it’s tradition a wife would make the armor for her husband, confirming that mipha really wanted to be with link one day if she survived the calamity)
4. mineru, she’s just so cool, i love how she’s very into creating new technology (and that may be lowkey the reason i ship her with purah 😭✋🏻). also she sounds hot i will admit fjjfjd
5. tulin, MY SON, the happy face he has when he first sees link again in totk 😭😭 while it would have been cool to have teba too, i appreciate they went with the route of tulin being the sage
6. sidon, now talk about a pansexual KING 😌 fjdjd i felt for him during botw, he’s the only one to have actually known one of the champion first hand, and his sister to add onto that - his need to prove himself (that we also see in aoc) and his desire to not let anyone else he cares about die like she did is such a perfect driver for his character
7. revali, that annoying lil bird twink (affectionate) 😭✋🏻 i know a lot of people don’t like him because he’s an asshole but based on other ritos designs, it might actually be because he was still a very young adult when everything went down, so no wonder he’s a little shit compared to teba jdjd
8. duruk, he seemed like a chill dude who loves to watch link eat rocks fjdjdj i don’t feel particularly either way for him, just want to thank him for saving my ass with his champion ability lmao
9. yunobo, i know he doesn’t mean any harm but god is he annoying with all the whining in botw 😭 he gets a bit better in totk but still isn’t my favorite of the bunch
