at the start of the semester one of our assignments was designing a menu for a made-up restaurant so i went for blackbeard’s bar and grill :) front and back..... it was fun ^_^

I could not stop thinking about how raccoon-eyes, Kraken-era Blackbeard resembles the Hamburglar and how no one here is talking about it. So...here is a rough sketch, done in the style of 'man-and-his-cat' glamour shots, to prove my point.

All I ask now is for a fanfic where Blackbeard's Bar and Grill and Other Delicacies and Delights and Fishing Equipment is beset by a burger stealing scamp (who might also be a certain Gentleman Pirate?). Or idk, maybe he *was* the Hamburglar in his youth. Fucking just please let me have this.

I was just watching a vlog of a US family living in New Zealand and look where they ate.

So I was just rewatching the end of episode 5 once or twice (no particular reason), and realised Ed specifies really clearly when he says about fishing being man vs beast: 'I'm the man and the beast is beneath the sea' and that sentence is so meaningful coming from a man who for all his adult life has thought of himself as a kraken or a monster who deserved to drown.

He is healing through fishing 🎣 And the crew are healing through shared creative projects like the unicorn leg and the bizarre cursed suit raid.

Stede: Ed, you ate a chair.
