Beauty and the Beast: A 30th Celebration I think is the most colorfully diverse Disney production since Cinderella (1997)
Belle is played by H.E.R., a Biracial Black-Filipino singer!!
the background cast is a rainbow of skin tones!!
the main characters of The Beast’s castle staff are diverse as well!!
Including David Alan Grier as Cogsworth, Martin Short as Lumière, Shania Twain as Mrs. Potts, and Leo Abelo Perry as Chip
Maurice, Belle’s father, is played by Filipino actor, Ernesto Cloma Briones Jr.
Gaston has dreads! And arms as thick as tree trunks! (played by Joshua Henry)

Disney, please, just do a normal live musical on TV, instead of the weird hybrid thing you are doing for the anniversary of your 90's films.
I watched the Beauty and the Beast 30 Anniversary on Disney+, and it's very weird. It's basically the original movie, but all musical scenes are replaced with live stage sequences.
These sequences are imaginative, with puppets, lavishing costumes, and elaborate dance sequences. This makes it more annoying when it suddenly returns to the original movie. I wanted more of the live stage sequences.
This is actually the second time Disney does that. The first was the Little Mermaid and it had the same premise.
Why?
Why couldn't we just have a normal tv stage show?
